Great place, open layout with a power rack room. Missing a GHD and heavier kettle bells. But its not a power lifting gym. Clean. Has a kid care place. Personal training staff and plenty of parking. Also hosts strongman events every now and again.

I signed up at The Zoo for 2mo. Keith and Joe with Redwood as trainers and am already seeing results! Very professional and encouraging, but also pushing me to do better. I am excited to crush my goals!

I wasn’t told about the 2 year contract, I went once and told them I wanted to cancel my membership. They said to bad should have read the contract, now I have lawyers and collection agency bugging me.. worst thing I ever did going there I should have gone to planet fitness!

I came across a difficult time and put in a cancellation request, long story short I had to move due to leaving an abusive relationship. I explained that I lost my job and my abusive ex went to the gym so I no longer felt comfortable going there, plus I had to travel farther to get there. They made it very difficult to discuss the situation and were not considerate about it at all....especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. I just got an email that they have been in touch with my ex and if I did not pay I would be sent to collections when my account was supposed to be frozen, they NEVER confirmed that they were okay to start charging me again. I understand they have business to run but it is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

After a difficult time trying to process my cancellation with the local Epping zoo office, I received a call from corporate office who handled it for me (thank you, Alyssa)The gym is very nice and the staff is super friendly but like every other gym membership Ive ever had it just became what I like to call my fat tax because I was paying for something I never used. So i accept personal responsibility for my membership fees going rite out the window but definitely advise everyone to pay attention to your bank account once you cancel any membership because were all human and make mistakes!!Best wishes

No no and NOPE! Try to cancel? Yes, I get it...ALL gyms always charge an extra month. Anyone with a pulse understands that. The ZOO?!?! They dont let you cancel....LOL. The bills just keep coming and coming and coming.Management and staff changes are dramatic, done often and with little thought it appears. Has anyone been here for a year? How about multiple years? Basically anyone off the street who accepts gets the job and then is gone within weeks or months.Equipment is extremely average. MUSIC is the worst selection I have ever heard and LOUD. How anyone can truly in their soul be happy working out here is beyond me. Good luck, I get it...to each their own but RUN from this place.

Very good gym, just mind your business and don’t allow the crossfit cult to hog all the machines and space. Beat your chest and assert dominance.

Every time I went in there they have hard rock high testosterone music pounding through the speakers.Unless you like it, everybody wears headsets and listens to their own music.I asked all the different people who work there up to the owner if the music could be changed to something slightly more user friendly for everyone. No one responded to my music feedbackor seemed able to change the music. After a couple of months of this I decided to cancel my membership and not renew. I did this in person with the membership recruiter. I did it with my trainer and at the front desk.No one was able to or did cancel my membership. This also seemed to be a difficult thing to do.I have been hounded by a credit service trying to get me to pay a final bill and penalty for canceling my membership. I have explained the same music issue to the credit service and put it in writing also.None of this seems to make a difference.Dont give them your credit card. Youll never get them off your back.

I asked when my membership contract date ended and how my membership would continue after. I was told an incorrect date which I didn’t realize until a couple days later when I went to cancel it. So basically because you need to give a 30 day notice and since I was incorrectly informed it was only a 25 day notice I got screwed and had to pay for an extra month. Poor customer service if you ask me. Glad I cancelled.

The Zoo is definitely the best gym in the area. There are not a lot of gym options in NH so I am very grateful for the Zoo. The equipment is top of the line and all of the members are friendly and stick to themselves.

Solid little gym, if you can, avoid the rush hour times 3-6pm. The thirsty Instagram “models” hogging the heavy weights with 15lb plates and the pretty boys taking pictures after each set. It’s open 24 hours if you’re up really early or work nights. It’s much better empty!

TOTAL SCAM! Dirty, old equipment and gross facility! They will say anything to get you signed up and then refuse to honor it. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! Manager ($cott) is unprofessional and rude. Equipment is old and they charge a maintenance fee of $50.00 every year! Why am I paying a maintenance fee, I pay for the membership every month! They never actually maintain the equipment!

I have been attending Zoo since it opened summer of 2017. If youre just interested in using the equipment on your own with no training than this is a good place. However, if you in need of personal training look elsewhere! The personal training has not been consistent. Ive had 4 trainers quit since Ive joined. All have left on their own due to the treatment of the owner and previous manager. If one quits and blames being mistreated, okay probably a personal problem, but if 4 quit through out the year??? Hmmmm? Also, come to find out the previous manager, who had been training clients, WAS NOT even certified by the State!!! The owner knew this and still kept him on. Once my contract is up I will be moving to another gym. Message to the owner, please treat your employees better. It effects your patrons directly when you do not. I know I sound like a disgruntled employee, but I am not.

Clean gym with nice staff and nicer people. Was stuck on last rep for a bench and someone came to spot me. First gym Ive been to with a reasonable one day price. Only complaint was there is only 1 bench press. If I lived in the area I would definetly have a subscription to this place.

You have got to be joking. I just tried this place out and its so beyond average, I am shocked anyone is a member. First off, at least 70% of the members I saw are rejects from other local gyms (EG: Latitudes, SSC, Planet Fitness, Coastal etc). I was very happy to see many of them leave my other gyms and now come here and its like they all gravitated to a dump of a gym together. The equipment is garbage. The classes offering are so boring. Staff is worst of all the gyms I belong to. Shocked this place is open. 100% guarantee its closing its doors within a year......or should. GRADE? F MINUS!!!!! Good lord.....

The front desk staff have told me repeatedly they will process paperwork for me, give me a reduced rate, have ppl call me back .. which none of this has ever happened!!! This has caused major issues for me, leading me to cancel my membership. Oh, wait...they didnt do this either!!! They kept trying to charge me for my membership for many months after my cancellation and harassed me for past due dues. Not a smart business practice. The facility is okay, I just wish they would provide more bottles and towels to wipe down the equipment. And why limit the number of paper towels one can use? Cheap?

Im constantly skipping the cardio portion of my workout because its too hot in there! The doors are often propped open on the hottest, most humid days. Some people choose to work out indoors because allergies and heat are health problems for them. I will say that when I ask that they close the doors, they do, but I shouldnt have to ask. Otherwise, its good! People are respectful and the facility is clean and well run. Classes are not consistent though.

The gym hired a manager with a terrible reputation who was ripping off customers left and right. When I brought my billing issues to their attention they said it was taken care of and I would receive a refund in 5 days. Over two weeks later they denied everything and said it was my own fault for signing anything their manager of the time gave me. After 5 phone calls and two in person visits they reluctantly refunded me my money but continued the charade of playing stupid to the issues. The current manager said I was being a baby over my card being charged without authorization and he insisted the owners were not there to remedy the situation so I turned around and struck up a conversation with the owner while the manager looked on. They handled the whole situation poorly and I know they have done this to other people.Edit: 7 months after canceling my membership they have started charging my account again

Great gym. Has a lot to choose from as far as equipment. I love that they have things like TRX, kettlebells, resistance bands, etc..and a large open room to use for it all. A varity of classes as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Diane Bednarek is my trainer and she is freaking amazing! I feel like I have come a long way in my strength and ability in such a short time seeing her. She really kicks your butt in the best way! I would recommend this place and Diane to everyone!
