I had a gown that needed hemmed and The top was form fitting and needed altered. After the alterations I tried it on and the top was not fixed. I left it there to be fixed. Picked it up after the second alterations. Tried it on at home. The top still not fixed the hem on one side versus the other was three inches different. I ended up going to another seamstress who undo the previous alterations and fix the gown. Very disappointed

I would highly recommend 250 Ephrata Sewing! I asked for a cushion for my bay window from a couple of places and noone would get back to me. I happened to see 250 Sewing taking my husband to the Ephrata Hospital and decided to stop in. The owner was very friendly and helpful! She didnt hesitate to take on this job. I posted a couple of pictures of how perfectly it fits my window 😊 She has also hemmed 2 pairs of sweatpants for my husband and they were perfect! Im so glad I came across this business because she will be doing all of my sewing needs! Thank you for a job well done 😊😊

Dont go there. She takes forever to only hem a dress. When I asked her to put a new belt on my wedding dress and new straps on my dress. She did a half job of the belt and didnt put the straps on at all. The only thing she is was hem it. Im having to go to another seamstress to have my work done. It took her 4weeks to just do a hem. When she told me 2weeks to have my dress done. What I played wasnt worth it. For the half job. I would never tell anyone to use her. $45. Wasnt worth it at all when I have to pay again to get the work done again is BS

Just took my daughters prom dress here to be hemmed. The dress was two layers and I was concerned about getting the layers evenly hemmed if I did it myself. It was perfectly done in a timely and courteous manner at a fair price. This is the second time I have had work done on a special event dress at this shop. The first time was for a bridesmaid dress for a wedding that needed to be hemmed and altered to fit right as it was not a dress that fit well on me. Both times the shop owner asked that we try the dress on to ensure satisfaction. My daughters dress was perfect the first time. The bridesmaid dress required additional alterations to get the fit right, which I fully expected because of the work that was done. Again, the price was reasonable (much less than the bridal boutique where it was purchased wanted to charge), the service courteous, professional, and timely. It is a busy shop with many returning, satisfied customers.

I took a dress here for alterations - I put the dress on so the owner could see what I was requesting be done, and when I told her what I was requesting, she responded by saying I dont think so and telling me that the dress looked fine. I was a bit taken aback, as I wasnt necessarily seeking an opinion on how she thought I looked, I was looking to have a minor alteration completed so I felt more comfortable/pretty in the dress. I did not feel that the part of the dress I wanted altered (the armholes) was flattering, and I am positive that a seamstress would be able to alter it. I told her that I dont feel good in it and I probably wont end up wearing it if I cant get it altered she replied thats fine. When I asked her so you are not able to do the alteration? she repeated I dont think so and left the fitting room. I got dressed and left, and she did not even acknowledge me as I exited her business. It seemed as if she was refusing to do the work for me because she didnt agree with how I felt that I looked in the dress. She seemed very judgmental and did not treat me respectfully at all. I would not go back, and I would not recommend.

Dropped couple of my work pants and my wifes dress for hem work. I didnt need it right away, so I came back 2 weeks later. Happy with the work. Thank you.

In 2010 She Altered my wedding dress, put in a bustle, hemmed my girls difficult layered dresses. At a fabulous price and superb work.Will make your special dress alterations stress free. Just trust her.

This lady does a very nice job altering all of my clothes. I cant buy clothes in my size so I purchase whats closest and can be removed from, and simply drop them off with her. A week later pick them up. Love it.

Needed a jacket altered for a wedding. Was not done both times she said it would be. Wasn’t even started so I picked it up.

I took my lace wedding dress in to be altered at the straps. All this professional did was take a folded tuck in the wide, lace strap and tack stitch the strap straight across with bleach white thread on my champagne colored dress. Had I known that was all she was going to do I would have never trusted her with my wedding gown. I would never even consider recommending this womans services to anyone. I could have done better on my own. Absolutely horrible experience.

Daughters prom dressed needed hemmed and a small tear fixed. Work was done very nicely, cannot even tell it was altered, and price was very reasonable. She was pleasent and courteous as well. We will go back again for future needs.

DO NOT go here!!!!!!! I am incredibly disappointed at this place, she told me my dress would be done on a Saturday but when I showed up, she told me to come back on a Monday because she didn’t have it done. How unprofessional. Also extremely inconsistent with pricing, my friend got the same exact alterations for $30 and she charged me $50!!! 0/10 do not recommend.

Does awesome work at a great price! Some items may take longer depending on the work needed. Location is great and can be seen from the main road.

So far weve never taken anything intricate here, just hem jobs, and sewing on ripped fish and eye hooks from my very impatient 11 year olds shorts. She does a great job and you simply can not beat the price! We would pay double anywhere else.

I took a dress here to be hemmed seeing the advertisements for expert alterations. It was terribly done. I took the dress to another seamstress to see if I could have it fixed and she said it was off by 1.5-2 inches in some areas. To have it fixed would have made the dress too short. I took the dress back to the 250 shop, asking for my money back and the woman told me it was not her fault- it was the dresss fault for being uneven. She told me that she was fine if I was dissatisfied. She refused to give me my money back and said that I was only one dissatisfied customer. My dress is ruined.

This place should NOT be in business! My Mom took her wedding dress here, along with a bridesmaid dress for alterations. What a disaster! I wish I could post the pictures on here. I have never seen such shoddy work!:The top layer of my Moms WEDDING dress was cut off as if a 5 year old did it and then to top it off NOT hemmed! The bridesmaid dress was hemmed and was so uneven its rediculous! I suppose we shouldnt have been surprised as she only used 2 pins in the front when we went for the fitting! When I went in for a refund I was treated rudely and they refused to give any refund. She did say she would like to try again...why in the world would anyone let her try again is beyond me! The Better Business Bureau has already filed an investigation.

I brought a pair of my husbands sweatpants to be hemmed up. They were brand new $45.00 Adidas sweatpants.The price they gave was cheap. $6-7.However, the service was worse than cheap, they really totally ruined my husbands pantsby sewing up the one leg an 1 + 1/2 higher than the other! 😵😩And theres no way to take up the other side to make them match now, because then bothsides would be too short! 😡😡He cant wear them this way, he looks like a goof because you CAN SEE IT.Thats how clowns 🤡 dress !Not good service at all, to have your brand new garment ruined! I cannot trust them again w any more alterations.

She saved my wedding dress! My wedding dress was made withiut a bustle snd the zipper was completely broken. I also wanted the shape to fit custom to my body. Someone else quoted more than 5x her price and wasnt even sure if they could do what I wanted.I was extremely happy with how the dress came out and in such a quick turnaround time

I took my 2 prom dresses for hemming and the work was disastrous. This is supposed to be a professional establishment yet the work appeared to have been completed by a 7 year old. I was charged $75.00....ROBBERY! I will never recommend this place to any of my friends. After sharing this experience with my co-workers, I am learning that many others have had the same dissatisfaction.
