If you’re looking for a bike rental in the Encinitas area, this place doesn’t disappoint! I think they mostly do surfing, but they have bikes and the perfect location for anyone wanting to ride around and explore. It’s a beautiful ride to Swami’s beach and the whole area is extremely bike friendly so you won’t feel unsafe and can really enjoy looking around. $25 for 2 hours and $40 for the day- extremely reasonable IMO. I also got stuck in a rain storm and the guy manning the shop, Max, let me dry off, charge my phone, and hang out until I found an uber. Warmest, friendliest place ever- I highly recommend! I dont really surf anymore, my review is based on observation. I like to eat at filibertos in Encinitas right down the street from Concept. I often park my car at the bank in front of Concept surf shop. I noticed the care he takes with his equipment and the personal touch he has with his clientele, hes definitely a people person. He knows the surf business well, and he shows his love for the beach. Best of luck to you, the guy eating tacos in the van.

Nice service! Just two blocks from one of the surfing spot...! I totally recommend this surf shop!!!The only thing am a little disappointed is that I got a silver necklace and four days later it went all black.. tried to clean it but it didn’t work.Love from SC.

Brought my daughter to one of Concepts Kids surf camps and was thoroughly impressed. The instructors were very attentive to her skill level and fit her to the board size she needed and helped her get up on a wave for the first time. I highly recommend their instruction school and they even have a great selection of gear and rentals in their shop. Definitely worth checking out!

Took a group of 15 for lessons here. 10/10 would come back. Exceptional quality of surf instructors, Good gear, and nonstop stoke made this shop shine. Plus they are just a stones throw from the beach! Well done guys, quality operation.

Concept Surf Shop is the best shop Ive ever made a purchase from. They have an awesome assortment of board for sale or rental at affordable prices. They also have great deals on bikes and bike rentals. I refer my family and friends there for surfboards and bikes. The owner is a super cool guy. Save yourself some money and avoid the Corporate Surf Shops.

Had a great surf lesson yesterday. The guy was super chill and patient. Helped me catch my first waves ever. I would recommend it if youre looking for lessons here in Encinitas.
