Took vehicle in to Encinitas Ford for a simple repair, the repair was estimated to take 3 days...It took 3 times longer then I was told it would...They rushed the job(I know for certain that they did not even start the work until the day before I was told to pick it back up...They did not provide a inspection on the truck as I was told they would.... Also it seems they forgot to reconnect some connections as vehicle amenities have ceased to work... if it was something not used frequently, I would have never found out. Lets hope they fix this, but knowing how the world works they will just say It wasnt me

At Encinitas Ford, I always experience surprisingly rare service!As a result, I will continue to buy cars from Ford and specifically this dealership because of the management and the service crew. This week Steven and Rigo (both skillful, professional, helpful, kind)went above and beyond the extra mile to make things work for me during a service visit. They are not focused on the buck, but truly want things to work for their customers.

Friendly staff and a good price on the car I wanted. After many calls and emails, I was ready to purchase but they did not return my calls or emails (even though they sent me emails before to confirm the purchase). After 5 days I finally spoke with the Sales Manager by phone. They told me that they did not like doing out of state sales (Im in NM). Thats their business and they have the right to make that decision. NOT contacting me with that information was very unprofessional and rude.

We went to Encinitas Ford to purchase a specific vehicle, and what we wanted was a little complicated. The general manager, Scott Cook, took it upon himself to make sure that the entire transaction went smoothly, which is not something I could foresee happening at any other dealership. Good buying experience . Seller was very knowledgeable about the car and I purchased it . Several months later got pulled over for not having the right sticker year on my car. The registration expired 2018, Ford should of placed a 2018 sticker on my plate , since it was only a transfer of the plate . Overall buying experience was good . Unfortunately, I was involved in an auto collision in front of the used car lot today in full view of the dealerships security camera system. My comments go out to the short bossman who stood in the private office with his arms crossed refusing to extend a hand, introduce himself, or even consider having a conversation with me or allow me to see the video footage of the collision I was involved in. After admitting he had the footage and acting like a big man in front of his employees, he sarcastically said he might let me see it if he checked with legal folks but that he had already spent 30 minutes showing it to the authorities (and acted like it was a big inconvenience), and then his final comment eh, well probably delete it in a couple days anyway. What a little tool to talk down to us peons with such disgust and lack of empathy. I feel sorry for the people who work for him.I, too, have cameras set up at my business and Id be happy to share the footage with someone who might have a reason to see it. In fact, Ive actually done so on many occasions to help my fellow humans out. Also, unfortunately, I have purchased quite a few vehicles from this dealership (bossman probably doesnt give a hoot) but after now knowing the type of characters that the owners hire to run and represent their dealership, Ill certainly take my business elsewhere. No need to apologize to me. Instead apologize to the owners who should be embarrassed and the employees who have to work for this guy who obviously lacks self-esteem and basic interpersonal skills and to those who have to put up with his style on a regular basis. Im sure theyre giving this post a thumbs up.Lessons: 1) People forgive but dont forget. 2) A business is part of the community-act like it. 3) How you treat strangers in their time of need is a direct reflection of ones internal compass and their true character. 4) Employees will emulate their manager or leaders behavior.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. They are always friendly. I bought my wifes escape from here two years ago and it was a nice experience. I just bought a Ford fusion hybrid engeri from another deal up north because I need one right away and I was up there. I charge it here and they are always friendly and never mind that I am here for a few hours charging. They even told me about the charging cable that is under my trunk which I did not know about. They are always willing to help you when you need it. Mark Wheeler runs this place and he is for one of the best staff around.

I worked with Oscar Morales, who previously helped my mother in-law purchase her first new vehicle (2012 Focus). I returned to Encinitas Ford because I feel like I have developed a personal relationship with the team members. They answer my questions and respond honestly as to what they can and cannot do. Oscar is particularly responsive. He listens to your concerns and tries to be sure to alleviate those concerns and find the vehicle that fits your needs. He is relentless in pursuing answers to your questions to be sure you are aware of your options and carefully consider your needs. He is knowledgeable of the features and availability across model years and trim levels. Oscar is also relentless in pulling out any vehicle that meets your needs. He is a master of multi-tasking. Duke Weiss in the service department takes the time to explain any issues with your vehicle and takes the time to be sure you are comfortable with any work to be performed. Rigo (service) has been helpful in making sure my accessories are ordered and installed to my liking. I have dealt with Doug and Kevin in the finance department and they were both very professional and found me great rates for my credit score (matching my credit union or better). You can probably tell why I keep coming back to Encinitas Ford. It really is my hometown dealership!

I bought a 2016 Ford Focus SE Hatchback from Encinitas Ford. I was very particular in the car I wanted. It had to be manual, with the luxury package and a moon roof. There was only one in the whole state of California, Nevada, and Arizona. Not only was I able to negotiate an amazing deal on the car with 0% interest, the car was brought 250 miles down from somewhere up north at no extra cost. Amazing service and I am very very happy.

We are a family of four and one of our cars was on its last leg. We had knots in our stomach because getting a new car could become very costly and the whole process is a pain. I would rate Encinitas Ford 10 stars if I could. My recent experience with them was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. I recommend making an appointment if possible instead of trying to just drop off your vehicle for service. Things I loved: their customer interaction, text notifications, quicky turnaround (again, I had an appointment), great service, knowledgeable staff, and they will price match tires if you can find them at another brick and mortar. The courtesy shuttle is hit or miss, but if you go in knowing that then its not that bad. Loved my experience here! Cant wait to bring my car back. Thank you, Sandy and team!

We got a recall from Ford for our airbags, even though we never had a light come on or any issues we decided to get the recall fixed as some people around the US were getting injured. We called Encinitas Ford and a few others, but they were very polite and helpful over the phone so we decided to go to them. Wish we hadnt. They had the truck for all of a few hours and called to let us know if was done. We go to leave and now our airbag light is on (mind you when that light is on your airbags are not active, and this light has never been on in the 1.5 years we have had the truck). The guy had already walked away and I had my husband go and bring him back. He got oh, that was on when it was brought in so we proceed to tell him no it wasnt. Its funny the light was never on then you do the recall on that specific thing and now there is a light. The guy could tell I was steaming mad but I just cannot take liars (Im also pregnant at the time and riding in a truck with no airbags is dangerous). He said we could PAY to have them look into it. I laughed and left, I had my usual body shop look into it (which they did for free, even though they werent at fault). As it turns out some wires werent properly connected. Just awesome! I will never go back here, I will never recommend it. Quite a bit more was said and done but I dont want to type a longer novel than this! Needless to say, stay safe and go somewhere else!!!

My husband and I are from Arizona and were vacationing in California. The day before we were scheduled to go back home, I inadvertently cut a turn too close and rode over the curb of the island dividing traffic. We were very concerned that I had caused major damage to the underside and there seemed to be an inordinate amount of water dripping from underneath the car. I called the closest Ford dealership and spoke to someone in service. They said they were completely booked and wouldnt be able to help us. We were uneasy about driving through the desert and getting stranded if there was damage, so he said if we wanted, we could come and talk to the Director of Service, Don Taylor, to see if he could do something. All I can say is that Don is an absolute prince!. He could see we were concerned about the safety issue and said he would take care of it. My car was immediately put on a lift and he as well as 2 other mechanics looked everything over very carefully to make sure there was no damage. The underside was scuffed, and the dripping water was simply water condensation from the air conditioner. Don spent about 15-20 minutes looking everything over and even checked the tires to make sure we would have a safe trip home. When they were done checking my car, I asked Don how much we owed him and he said absolutely nothing - that we should just have a good trip back with no worries. What a nice man! I was so impressed that as busy as they were, he made time for us to have peace of mind before we headed back to Arizona. If I lived in Encinitas, I would definitely take my car there for service.

I took my truck here twice for service. The first time I got it detailed as well and was completely dismayed to find they had chipped some paint off the hood and the bed was stained with wax. The second time it was in to have two recalls fixed. I got it back and the rear window was broken, sitting crooked in it’s frame so it wouldn’t close all the way! And both times not one of the staff seemed to care, but more seemed annoyed that I brought it back right away to be fixed. I will never be returning to this dealership and would rate it zero stars if I could.

Had to have a recall service done. The passenger airbag needed to be replaced due to the big airbag scandal from several years ago that affected several carmakers. The process was simple and fast, dropped the car off at 7 am and it was done by 10am. The only negative is that it took several years before there was enough replacement parts...

This dealership was great; very helpful, knowledgeable and kind personnel. I worked with Dave B. and Lindsey they went over and beyond to help me. I highly recommend them and this dealership.

I recommend them highly, like a family business, went there Sunday and bought a C-Max hybrid, cranberry red. I got very good service and a fair deal it was fast and I am satisfied. I have driven it a few days and it is very impressive, hybrid is great. Also they teach you about the new technology and green leaves love the road assistance for years, it came with the package.

My car purchase experience here was much different than any other dealer Ive been to. Salesperson who worked with me was low pressure and conversational. They didnt have the model I wanted but traded for it same day and finance went over and above to get me the best rates they could. Talked to the GM who confirmed the feeling I was having. That they try to act as friends who help you out purchasing the car you want. There was not the whole what do we need to do to make a deal phrase ever spoken(my least favorite sales pressure style, wheel and deal).

Showed up on time for an oil change appointment and there were no other customers in the service drive. I waited for 10-15 minutes while the 3 or 4 service advisors in the drive seemed to just hide in their cubbies. I have a feeling no one wanted to help me because it was just an oil change appointment. I poked my head in one of the offices and got brushed off by a lady saying one of the other 3 guys would help me but no one ever did so I left. I will not purchase or get my vehicles serviced there anymore. Very bad service and experience :(

I went to test drive a car and talk financing. While I was in doing paper work, I gave my keys (to my car that was to be a trade in) to the sales guy who said the manager was going to verify car features with the paper work. We could not come to an agreement on financing, so I decided to revisit my finances and try again later. I come out to find my car parked in a different spot, the seat in the wrong position and 15 miles less on my odometer. I asked specifically what they wanted my keys for and they neglected to mention they were going to test drive it. They lied and/or omitted items. I am not allowed to test drive a car without them copying my drivers license, but Im supposed to unknowingly let some random employee drive my car? They should have specified that if they were going to do that. I would not recommend that dealership at all. I also specified I wanted 60 month loan and they came back with a higher rate and longer term to meet my payment amount. Who wants a higher rate and 6.5 years of payments????

This place is awesome! Our electric car didn’t have enough juice and we asked if we could use theirs. They let us in! Let me be clear. I drove up in my Toyota gas car asking if my friend driving a Chevy electric car could charge there. They gave no flak whatsoever, but were super kind about it.Thank you for saving us that night!!

I went looking for a vehicle and saw online they had what I was looking for. I scheduled an appointment, came in, and wasnt forced into any decision. They worked with me and helped get me what I wanted.

This dealership likes to play nothing but games. Transfer you all over the dealership. They give you prices they wont hold to. Games are no fun when trying to buy a vehicle.

Even over the phone, he was welcoming, outgoing, and allowed to arrive whenever it suited me. He made it truly a no-pressure experience. Truly the definition of a fun, professional who enjoys his job, making people happy.Doug in the finance department was very thorough and transparent in his business practice. He offered great advice and excellent help the entire way through, checking in with me in the days to follow.As a CSR, a Sales Rep, and a business manager simultaneously for over 20 years- the experience was a breath of fresh air. I travelled past 3 other Ford dealerships and 35 mins away to purchase my vehicle here. I have to say that if you do the same, you will not regret it.

I recently purchased a 2010 f150 from Encinitas Ford. I guess I shouldnt be surprised by the amazing customer service I received since this was the 3rd truck Ive bought there. However, this time I had two cars to trade in and I was fairly demanding in my wants/needs for the new truck (price,options...). I came to Encinitas Ford as a last resort; after searching all day for a car I had not found anything I wanted. I remembered seeing a particular vehicle online (2007 Volvo S80) and decided to come check it out, and about four hours later I drove off with it. Oscar (the salesman) proved to be very helpful with getting me in and out with a fair deal. I especially appreciate Doug from the finance department and his effort in keeping the deal together. Based on my experience, I would recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.

EDIT:From what I understand Encinitas Fords service department has a new Sheriff in town.I havent had any experience with the NWO there but based on the fact the new cheese has reached out to me several times in concern about my past experiences with them leads me warm and fuzzy.So 4 stars for the effort by the new guy its theirs now to make or brake.Oh and for what its worth , Marianne in sales rules!No really she was almost good enough to sale me .😆I do like the sales people Ive dealt with!

Getting an appointment at this place is pretty ridiculous just to pick up your car.
