Ive been using Greenway for John Deere and Honda Generator purchases for over 15 years. My 3005 tractor is from them as well as all my implements. I recently ordered a new rear blade from them. I didnt want to wait so I discussed it with the mid coast folks. They didnt know what they were talking about so I finally submitted the order with Greenway. Helpful sales. Helpful parts desk.

My husband and I just bought a John Deere tractor and Gator. Before we made the purchase, everyone we spoke to suggested going to the Hammond Tractor dealership in Union instead of Greenway. Now, I regret this decision and hope anyone reading this goes to Hammond instead. Their sales team was way more knowledgeable than Greenways. Im only giving two stars instead of one because the delivery guy, Dean, is very nice and helpful. The salesperson we worked with at Greenway is completely incompetent and kept changing things without running it by us first (i.e. removing equipment from the quote without changing the overall price, changing the amount of my down payment, etc.). He also wasnt wearing a mask in his office when I went in to drop off my check and couldnt get my name right, despite multiple corrections. I would not buy from them again, but I hear the service department is decent.

Ellsworth store needs customer service training so customers dont have to repeat the same thing to three different people and then expect customers to know that youve handed them off to someone else without telling the customer. Seemed very dis-interested in helping. Chris, the last guy who helped was great.

Great service on two instances. Lawn tractor had a punctured tire, I took the tire to their shop and they fixed it immediately. Then after they performed annual service, the belt broke while I was mowing (it is an older unit.) They sent a service man out the next day to replace the broken belt. Its a pleasure to work with a company that provides prompt and reliable service.

I took my snowblower in for service because it was idling rough and would no longer go into gear. A couple weeks after dropping it off, it was ready for pickup. The first snowfall came just days later. The blower started up fine, but two feet after I placed it into gear, the machine stopped moving. I was a bit pissed that I just shelled out $179 to have a smooth running but inoperable snowblower.I called up the shop and explained the situation. I figured when I dropped off the machine, the company would, in all good consciousness, attend to it immediately and fix their mistake for free. Nope. Three days later and $28 later, the machine was ready for pickup.The next snowfall came, and after just snowplowing half the driveway, the same thing happened. Determined not to waste anymore money, I turned the machine onto its side to see what was going on. I immediately noted that three of the four screws holding the cover plate were not tightened down. Inside, the belt had slipped off a pulley because the guides that keep the belt on the pulley had not been adjusted correctly.It appears that this company has lost its moral compass. I would not recommend them for repairs.
