Finally found an honest auto mechanic and used car dealership shop. My car died recently and I had to get another used car immediately. I had been burnt so badly in the past that I was really not looking forward to the experience. Peter showed me a 2009 Subaru Forester and explained in great detail what he had done to the car to get it ready for market what things had to be replaced etc etc and assured me that it was a very sound car and that I would not have problems with it. Its been a few months now since I purchased the car and I am in love with it it runs like a dream I only had one little thing that I had to have fixed I turned on the air conditioner because I didnt need it beforehand and it didnt start up so I took it back two out of town Auto and they fixed it right away and then told me that there would be no charge whatsoever because I had purchased the car from them recently. I must say I was absolutely shocked that they didnt charge me at least for the labor because the car was there for a couple of hours. They did a great job and the car runs perfectly now I will certainly be using them as my mechanic for anything that comes up oil changes etc in the future not only did they give me a great deal on a used car but they also are very honest about any kind of car repairs etc. To everyone who works there is unbelievably nice. I cannot speak highly enough about out of town Auto I will be doing all my business with them in the future and I highly recommend them especially if you know nothing about cars like me 👍👏🎉

I suddenly lost my brakes and after having dealt with a few other garages in town...that honesty doesnt seem to be their policy I gave Out Of Town a call. Well the office person could not have been any nicer! 20 year old car that they went above and beyond fixing other things besides the brakes! Excellent service from the front desk all the way to the guys out back! This is my garage from now on!Not my car in the pic...but it is in the showroom..wish!

Pete and Rob have the best selection of used Subarus in the State of Maine and the service in eastern Maine. If you have a Subaru or are looking for an honest service shop this is where to go.

Ask for rob! He’s quick and gets the job done! I’ve been coming here for 3-4 years and never have a problem after being fixed.

Took my vehicle in for a 150000 mile check up and they didn’t even do half of the things that they needed to do to perform that kind of service. $1500+In addition I about one month later got a flat tire due to the fact that they never even checked on my tire wear. I had a bad front driver’s side ball joint. And needed new calipers and brake pads! 😡

We had such an enjoyable car buying experience here. Peter is honest and fair and such a friendly and interesting person. After a horrible buying experience at Stanley Subaru last year, it is nice to know that there is a subaru dealer in town who knows how to treat people with respect. His prices are very good and he answered all of our questions. This is the first time that we actually had fun buying a car. We will definitely be going back next time we need a car and will be getting all of our service done here. Thanks Peter!!

Cant say enough good things about this place. From the friendly office staff at the front desk who are a pleasure to deal with to the excellent mechanics who always do the job right and at reasonable cost. Whenever my Subaru needs fixing this is where I go! From headgasket replacement through brake work and routine oil changes Ive always been highly satisfied with the results. When they moved to a new location closer to Ellsworth awhile ago I thought for a minute that theyd gone out of business and it was a Gulp Moment for me! Made my day when I called and discovered that not only were they still up and running theyd moved into a bigger/better building much closer to where I live!

Cant say enough good things about these folks. These are just a bunch of great guys and are like my knights in shinning armor. Pete the owner is a great person and Rob Moon- Petes top head mechanic is just exceptional. Ive known Rob for many years. They get the job done, tell you out straight want is wrong or give their best guess (which is usually right on the ball). I like to think of Rob as a car doctor. Hes been doing this for over 20+years now on all different vehicles and knows his stuff. Makes the job look too easy which shows he has exceptional skill. Ive had my car towed over 100 miles a few times (and will continue to do so) to their garage cause I dont trust anyone one else to touch it. Thats how good they are!

Highly recommended, they do excellent work and they search for deals to prevent the cost from being wallet breaking, they work with you with payment, they even gave me a free rental car for the weekend because they told me my car would be fixed by Friday and they wernt finished yet so they let me use one of theirs so Id have a vehicle for the weekend, no charge. Definitely great customer service hands down. 👏👍
