Bad experience here. Called to check availability of item. Took forever to get customer service on the line. They couldnt answer question(go figure) tried to connect me with dept. Got cutoff after holding over 10 mins. Would not repeat. Lowes is going downhill.

The customer service there is amazing. We had to ask a few people where things were located, and everyone was so grateful to help. Scott even walked me to where the WD-40 was. Then Brandon at the self-checkout area was able to work with everyone quickly with quality service.

Duane and Ben are outstanding employees, who go above and beyond for Store 2244s customers. The store is well stocked and clean.HOWEVER, Leslie (cashier/customer service) has got to go. So rude and condescending. Flat out mean to customers and acts like she cannot be bothered and is above all.

Ive tried to call several times to change the name of the pick up person for my online order but the phone rings and rings and they answer and slam the phone down. Ive called in different parts of the day too. I will not be doing business with this Lowes if this is the level of customer service that is acceptable to them.

The customer service is horrible in this location. I went there to get a dead perennial plant refunded. The woman in the desk said that they can’t refund because the plant is not in the original pot. I told her that Only the receipt and the dead plant is required to get refunded. I also told her to search herself to find out what is right. She just kept saying she can’t process further because the dead plant is not in the original pot. We argued and somebody near her came and told me the dead plant I brought is not perennial. What the….! I don’t think they even know what perennial means. Then, the guy asked me how much the dead plant I paid. I pointed out in the receipt. It was $7.49. Then, the guy told her to refund because it isn’t much. I got refunded, then came home and searched myself. The lowes policy is like this. “The lowes warranty to give the credit for the replacement of the perennial and shrub for the whole one year if customers bring their receipt and the plant back. No original pot required”. Obviously, none of them in the customer service didn’t know any of this and didn’t want to learn. Shame on you!!!

Be sure to bring your own bag, not even offered at self checkout like ever other store. No one to be found to help with a bag, yet you grab one to carry your items then finally out of nowhere someone speaks up and demands money for the bag. Ever other store has included this in their self checkout process.

I always prefer Lowes over Home Depot but this location leaves me disappointed every single time I have an online pick up order. Every single time, without exception, Im left waiting 20 minutes while they try and locate my order. Its NEVER where its supposed to be. This is such a simple fix, which points to how poorly managed this location is.

Overall the store itself was the way any other Lowes is. Clean well stocked and good prices. It wasnt until we got to the main purpose of our visit (shopping for cabinets) that caused me to give the 2 stars. We simply wanted some basic information and advice about renovating our kitchen when we were overwhelmed by an associate named Karen. I only name dropped Karen because I dont want the other associate(from whom we never got a name) who had a more calm and helpful disposition to get in trouble. We felt more like being accosted by a used car salesmen on a 2 bit car lot when asking the most basic of questions we got overly animated bullet points of what we needed instead of actual information. I say bullet points because after 10 minutes of aggressively energetic bullet points Karen would just abruptly turn and walk away. She did this several times and it just came off as rude. Needless to say we wont be returning to this Lowes for cabinetry help to avoid Karen. otherwise its a decent store.

Just left this place and I will say this much. Weird experience. Maybe just me, but worth sharing for whoever is bored and cares enough to READ about a hardware review (lol I don’t, but my review numbers do)I came in for an item that I saw online which I asked a worker who seemed to be also inconvenienced by me asking for a clamp light. He didn’t know what it was, so he asked me what it was for. I gave him examples to which he then told me it might be in electrical then walked away, but before doing so, he adds that he doubts they have them. So I without being directed of where electrical was, just continued about my search and wound up finding more than what I was looking for minus a few things.Their staff could learn a thing or two about customer service.The fun continued at terminal 11 19:33 8/15 it’s what was on my paper receipt that I didn’t want lol.I tried to ask her a question and she was to busy yelling across the registers to ask what time she could leave. I understand wanting to get out of work, not a big deal. But what annoyed me is that upon payment I went to send my receipt via email, which I typically do, and she just printed it without even letting me choose an option offered on the credit card reader. Honestly I’m laughing that I’m writing this because I feel it’s silly, but please pay attention to who is in front of you and let the buyer complete their transaction including which method to receive their receipt.no bag offered, I didn’t ask because I didn’t want to interrupt her conversation lol

EDIT: Second delivery date was also a no call no show from Lowes.Calling this place is awful, most of the time your call just goes unanswered. Customer service is a toss up. There was an extremely rude lady, whom i believe is actually a lead or manager, would snap at myself and my father for absolutely no reason. This lady alone is worth the 1 star review.Their updates are equally bad. I spent $6000 on flooring materials with this establishment, had delivery scheduled for May 14th, was told I would receive a call if the date would not be met, and had contractors painting and ready to install the flooring this weekend.No call, everything is stuck in limbo because they couldnt coordinate delivery Getting a hold of anyone in regards to the matter was an issue in itself.Stay away. Go to Home Depot or something.

Environment was clean and friendly. Self checkout was a headache. 2 of them were closed and out of 2 working, one can not scan item through scanner as it was down too. So technically it was one and a half self check iout which was working. This created lines to pile up. Rest was fine.

Go to the other box store down the road. Window and Door section in particular are really hard to coordinate with and they seem to have one person on without a replacement during breaks. We were there 40 minutes, saw 3 people give up, and someone call over the intercomm for help twice with no response. This all happened at 530 which seems like a usually busy time.Other random issue was there was one customer service agent and a line with more than 10 people.One star for a clean store.

We were looking for 2 specific items, looked them up on the app to see which aisle & bay they were located, neither was correct. It was a bit frustrating because then we had to find someone working in those areas to help us..

I appreciate having a local store however they do NOT answer the phone. I had an issue recently with curbside pickup. I called for someone to assist. No one ever answered the line. I called several times. Whats the point of curbside if no one is available to come outside when you arrive? Someone finally came out. Unfortunately part of my order was missing. I called back to get a hold of customer service, again no answer. I had to call the 1800 customer care line to finally have someone assist. Even when calling the store for other questions for installation services, the line rings then eventually disconnects. Very frustrating to know if you need help, you may not receive it. If you shop here you must go inside the store for any inquires you have.

On this day, and at this particular lowes, I was fortunate to meet an employee who knew exactly where the three items I was looking for were she stopped what she was doing and patiently explained this item is on that aisle at this point and this over here and that over there and by joe, she was right on all three cases. Well done and good representation of the company. I got what I needed and the prices were good too. Plus, it was close and getting these things got me out of a little jam. Definitely worth the trip.

Terrible customer service. This location consistently has shelves that are a mess. Product is 20 in the air on shelves. You cant find an associate to help you wich is weird be ause this location dosent seem that busy. I waited at the counter as three employees ignored me. I go out of my way to avoid home depott but whats the use I dont waste your time at this store the other one is 5 minutes away.

Thought Id share my experience with Lowes Home Improvement in Elkridge, MD (store #2244). We ordered a front door on April 7th. The contractor was scheduled an appointment to come out and measure but instead came unannounced another day and time. After not hearing back from Lowes on next steps to order the door, I called several times and nobody picked up the phone. I went to the store and met with an associate who didnt quite understand everything about the process and left feeling VERY apprehensive. We were told the custom door should be ready by May 4th. When I didnt hear from anyone by May 12th, I called Lowes to check status and was told there was a delay and should be done by May 19th ... but still no word. Then I called again and was told that the contractor will be calling me shortly to schedule. Finally, they did schedule an install for June 24th. When the installers arrived, the door measurements were obviously wrong and installers told me to call Lowes to discuss next steps. I immediately called Lowes and was told that a supervisor in Millworks would call me back to schedule a new measurement. 4 days later and I have been unable to reach anyone...literally ANYONE on the phone. I have been hung up on 3x this morning. (Id give zero or even negative stars if I could)

Wish I would have read the reviews before I traveled to this location! Unfortunately, they were the only location that listed having my stove in stock but once I got there they did not. I still was able to order the stove. While being there the staff looks as if they are avoiding eye contact knowing you need help. My stove came without the griddle, even though I was told it would have it, but that’s not the real issue...customer service at this store is terrible! They DO NOT answer the phones and the rare time that someone did, I was passed around and hung up on twice. Called for Management and they said they were in a meeting. At that point the lady who I finally got through to helped me out the best she could because nobody picks up in the delivery shop or any other department for any matter. Now here I am trying to report the missing griddle but at 7pm NOBODY is picking up the phone at all. I don’t live close to here but I am so over it. Not sure if they are understaffed but they need to make changes. Also, let’s not talk about the $300 installation fee I was offered to install a gas stove which is crazy but regardless to that they need to improve in their customer service. I won’t be back, unless it’s to pick up my part to my stove.

I was at the Lowes in Elkridge and needed assistance. I came acrossed Kevin and he stopped what he was doing and went to look for the product I inquired about. He was so kind and professional. He wasnt able to locate the product so we walked together out to the garden center where he asked another store associate if she knew where we could find the product. Well she was very short and abrupt with Kevin. I was taken back by her attitude with a coworker, in front of a customer. Kevin was very cool about it and we walked away. Needless to say I didnt leave with any more info than I came with. I did go to the self check out with some other products and was greeted by such a friendly young man named Eric. He offered to ring my items up and did so with such politeness.Kudos to Kevin and Eric for being so kind and helpful.

Usually has everything I need. Although the lawn and garden areas seem to always be in disarray. Let’s see how it looks in the summer but I know last summer it was not a typical Lowe’s lawn and garden center.Other than that it’s clean and staff are 50/50 friendly. One of the best managed Lowes in Maryland, and I would say in the entire nation! I had trouble finding the right fitting, and the manager came over with a friendly attitude and got his best associate to help me. The store gets busy, but even in the late hours they helped me get the difficult to find part. Top notch service and Im grateful for their excellent customer service!

An Unpleasant Purchase/ Customer Service ExperienceI’ve bought a electric stove from Lowe’s 3 years ago with a 5 year warranty. A few days ago the stove eye wasn’t working so I had to call the company’s customer service for help. The whole experience of calling the customer service took multiple 20 minute wait and multiple transferring to different departments and asked for many documents all of which is understandable. When we finally got the first appointment scheduled 12-5 but the person who was supposed to coming texted me before 2 that he is on the way and I have to text in 15 mins after the text or else he’ll cancel the appointment, and unfortunately I was driving and couldn’t reply to his message at the moment so the second appointment was scheduled at 8-12 two day later to see what’s going on with the stove after waiting 50 minutes, at 7:50 the person who was supposed to come called and reschedule the appointment at 12-4. And when he finally got here at 3:30 and he told that the stove wasn’t working due to crock roaches were found inside, and this is not included in the warranty. The whole process took me around 10 days. The whole experience was dreadful and unpleasant. I sincerely hope that the company takes this experience into consideration in making a change in their customer service.

I would like to thank Ebony who works in Windows and Door department in the Lowes store number 2244 (8281 Gateway Overlook Dr, Elkridge, MD) for her exceptional service. I was replacing my patio door. She sent out a Lowes’s contractor to provide me an estimate of replacing the patio door. When the contractor’s proposed price came back. I was ready to move forward with the project. She said the contractor proposal is too high. And she would send another contractor to provide another proposal. She was right the new proposal was much more reasonable than the proposal by the other contractor. She, also, was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in making recommendations about the best type of patio door for my application.

Literally the WORST customer service i have EVER experienced. We ordered items online, they delivered items that were damaged. Its been a MONTH and they still havent scheduled a time to come pick up their damaged items and refund our money!Ive been calling every single day for a month now and no one picks up the phone in Deliveries. Excellent selection of products and knowledgeable staff. However, when it comes to contracting through Lowes for home installations, the convoluted process of paying Lowes, then getting passed to their contractors for scheduling, then back to Lowes for follow-up work like returns of excess materials and kitchen disconnection/reconnection or other intermediate steps, is like pulling teeth. Expect delays, miscommunication, and even missed appointments. The quality of work has been uniformly great, and otherwise were fans, but the multi-step home installation process has not gone well for us. Also, if you have to get in touch with Lowes staff about any installation over the phone ... dont. Youll repeatedly be disconnected or put on hold ad nauseam.

I had a terrible experience today at Columbia’s Lowes.While I was shopping for mulch, I was injured by the rusty nail on the pallet. One of the wood parts of the pallet under the mulch stock was misplaced, and rusty nails were exposed. I asked for help and assistance and informed the crew members about taking care of the exposed nails for other’s safety but no luck.My wife went into the store to find bandaids and alcohol wipes. After her first treatment, we went to CVS to take a TDAP shot.I hope Lowes management takes immediate action to ensure that the store is safe for the public.

Great store, wide selection of items. They have good quality paint and Ive had great service there. They always have let me return for credit even when I dont have my receipt for the items. Easy parking and location is close to several major roads (95, 175, 100). Many other good stores and restaurants nearby.

This is my second experience with Lowes on April 21st. After a previously explained poor experience at Lowes Catonsville, I called Lowes in Columbia while still at the Catonsville store to make sure that I could get Premium Black Mulch at their store. I didnt want to waste more time and gasoline. I called their Garden Center and got no answer, went to fast busy ring after 10 or so rings. Hung up, called back to the Garden Center again and again no answer, 10 rings or so and back to fast busy ring.Called back again, 3rd time and asked for curbside pickup. They ANSWERED and I asked them to let me know if they had the Black Mulch in stock. Gentleman took about 15 minutes to go out and check stock, assured me they had the product in stock.I drove to Columbia Lowes, stood in line at Garden Center for 10 minutes and asked to order 20 bags of Black Mulch. Guess what, none in stock. Explained my previous actions and said I wanted a Rain Check. I was told they wouldnt provide me a rain check. Asked for the store manager.I was told I had to go inside to find a manager. Went to Customer Service and asked for Store Manager. Waited again for about to 6-7 minutes and Store Assistant Manager showed up. Explained my days experience to the manager. Again asked for a rain check. Manager said they do not give rain checks BECAUSE THE MULCH IS A SEASONAL PRODUCT and he didnt know if they would get any more black mulch in. ABSOLUTE B.S. The season is just starting, they will probably get the product restocked several times this YEAR.I explained that I thought this was POOR customer service. The manager just gave me a blank stare and said that what I was told is their policy.Buyer be warned. It will be a while.....

I was extremely impressed and grateful for the two team members who helped me during my visit this Saturday. I underestimated how heavy it would be to haul 6 bags of mulch into my cart. Thankfully I did not have to do it alone as Rob saw me struggling probably and offered to help place the mulch into my cart. Upon leaving the store another team member Christopher came and helped to push my cart to the car, loaded the mulch into my van, and returned my cart to the store! The team went far beyond my expectations and I was deeply moved by their thoughtfulness and kindness towards me. Thank you so much for your wonderful service Rob and Christopher! You are what’s good in this world.

Nice clean organized store with a good selection of products. Unfortunately getting any sort of help here is extremely difficult. Ive been here numerous times and almost every time the aisles are empty of employees working and available to help you. Just during my visit today I needed help with kitchen cabinets and there was nobody working in the cabinet department I needed help with appliances and there was nobody in the appliance department. I am completely remodelling my kitchen and need new everything cabinets, appliances, etc... This would have easily been a $15k-$20k sale for them but the store was a complete ghost town. Nobody was there to help me so I just walked out the door. Guess Ill have to get my kitchen elsewhere. Why even have a store of there are no employees to assist customers?

I typically dont leave reviews unless a place is unmistakably great or unmistakably terrible. For the past 10 years I have been a Lowes stockholder and a loyal patron of the Columbia Lowes. On my visit today I had all I could take. The visits in the past 6 months have all had issues, and NO these are absolutely NOT COVID-19 ISSUES. These are the by-product of the store leadership and employees. They routinely change the location of things in the store but never seem to move the aisle markers so their customers know where to find things(employees and leadership issue). Thier stock selection is somewhat dwindled in certain departments (purchasing and department heads issue). Well today I went into this Lowes and proceeded to the electrical department. There was a customer there along with me astonished to see such a dis-kept department and partially bare shelves (purchasing and dept head). The other shopper called someone from the department to help him locate an item. This commonly kept item could not be found and when the gentleman said he will just go to HD, the store person looked at me and said I just work here I am not an electrician, I dont know what he needed.. then walked away. On the other side of the aisle where I needed to purchase a desperately needed Old Work J box, there were none... 0.. but cases upon cases of New Work J boxes.. My frustration boiled over and I proceeded to ask for a manager. After 3 calls and about 10 minutes... I saw one, not coming to me but rather to seemingly go to his office. I approached him and asked are you the manager who was called for 3 times, his response was I am A manager.. the assistant manager by his name tag.. I didnt hear the pages, how can I help you. I proceeded to let him know the status of his store, departments, and stock supply. His responses were all excuses. He took no ownership of the issue at all. I proceeded to inform him that if Lowes wishes to keep pace with HD he needs to be more aware of his store and take responsibility when customers inform him of the weaknesses of his store. Then I joined the other gentleman on the trek to HD who had everything I needed and was honestly, a more organized department. I think its time I not only consider where I shop but also who I should purchase stock in.

The sign that said Now Hiring is an understatement. I walked around looking for some for 15 mins. I did find someone who was sitting behind a customer service desk who helped me to pick and cut some wood. Needless to say he cut it short. The was after he took another 10 mins trying to figure out how the cutting machine works.Moving on... I needed something else, he sent me in the general direction. I spent another 1hr looking and asking the few visible staff I saw where the item was and everyone pointed me to the back of the store in that direction, lol, thinking about it now this is funny.In the end I gave up, checked out my poorly cut short pieces of wood a few other household items but definitely not what I went there for. I gave 2 stars because he really tied his best to do a good job and cut the wood.

Ordered shutters that were supposed to arrive November 23rd, after a week of me calling since they never call back like they said they would was told Dec. 27th. Get email to pick up and drive to store. They cant find them, tell me they will call me. Two days after no phone call I call them. Still cant find and say they will call me back. Wait a day and since yet again they dont call me I drive back to store. At the site I am told they will have to cancel the order and I need to go home and reorder them. No discount no nothing just sorry go home and reorder. Zero chance I ever step foot in this store again.

Its a fine experience and probably exactly what youd expect a big box store to be. However the parking lot/reaching the store is nightmarish. The only entrance is completely opposite from Lowes and requires navigating a ton of traffic and many stores to reach it. I prefer this store to the orange one, but many times the annoyance of GETTING to the store ends up with me going to the orange guys. (not Trump, Home Depot)

I call ahead most times to see if what I need to is in stock. I spoke to the flower dept and every time there is a issue!They either hang up on me, seem irritated that Im calling with questions, or transfer me to another dept bacause they cant help me. All they have to do is look and tell me if what I want is in stock.Its very far for me to travel to this location. We are in a pandemic and Im a Cancer Survivor and always call ahead so I dont waste a trip. Curbside doesnt give me the opinion to purchase from the florist department.Im disappointed in this Lowes!

I had a terrible experience with the general customer service of the store. I entered the store around 2:15 pm Saturday, 6/26/2021. I went in to purchase patio furniture, and the associate in that section let me know that since the item I wanted was on clearance, I would have to buy it and take the item with me. No issues. The issue came when I followed his instructions to take the sign with me to the front of the store to pay for it, and another associate came over and told me that I could not purchase the furniture until July. I let him know what the other associate told me, and as I was telling him, I was interrupted for him to say to me, well, it requires manager approval. Clearly, he was not having a good day, so I walk away and head to the customer service desk to ask for a manager and get approval to purchase the item. Upon calling for a manager, that same associate shows back up, takes the sign from me, and tells me that HE will ask the manager. The manager arrives at the front, avoids me, and speaks with the associate I just had a less than desirable experience with. So I decided to leave rather than deal with whatever was going on because I was frustrated.I called the store today, 7/1, at 11:32 to get to customer service, and the phone rang for 8 minutes before it disconnected the line. I called back at 11:41 to a different department to get someone. I was routed back to customer service and was transferred to the managers line for the phone to disconnect itself again. So, I will not be returning to this store to go through this again, most likely. However, I have never had this experience before, so I am somewhat surprised at this level of poor customer service even from their management.
