I recently moved to the area alone, and my car suddenly broke down. All other servicers wouldnt work me in for almost two weeks. I was recommended Monteiths by a coworker, called them, and they were willing to work me into their schedule that same day due to my situation--and I know for a fact they had a full schedule that day. I needed a tire repaired and set an appointment online. When I didn’t get a confirmation I called and spoke with Austin. He apologized and said to just come in on the day I made the appointment for and he would make sure my tire was taken care of. Not only did he do that, he also didn’t charge me. He went above and beyond and truly made my day! He had no idea that my husband was in the hospital and I was headed there after I left. The gentleman who repaired my tire was also very kind and polite. You don’t find too many businesses like that anymore and I highly recommend them!

I go to Montieth on Beardsley Ave in Elkhart Indiana. They do great work. They recently picked out a mid grade tire for me Im very happy with them. They do all the work on my vehicle and get me in and out in a timely manner.

While traveling home to Nebraska from New York our car had the misfortune of picking up a screw in a tire somewhere in Ohio. It became a problem in Indiana. We got lunch at Jimmy Johns and asked if anyone knew of a good tire place nearby and Monteiths was suggested. We drove there and explained our situation. They were very friendly and got us in as soon as they could. They were able to patch our tire, saving the day, and we made the remaining 9 hours of our drive safely! We really appreciated how accommodating Monteiths was for us out-of-towners during our time of need.

Diagnostic machine was $66 for security light, abs, & tracking system lights.

They were a bit busy but did a supper job on my rims putting my old tires on them

Was a great place to get tires or have a repair done, we have used them solely for years. However, was greatly disappointed when I needed a tire repaired last month. They no longer honor their free flat repair. Its not all their fault, I guess I shouldve clarified before having it done, but after doing the flat repair & being hit with a 45.00 repair bill?😳 given my husbands been off work for over 6wks. that hit hard.🥺

My overall experience is always positive. There was an issue that came up with the installation of our struts. They were installed and a constant rattle occurred, so it was taken back. I was charged an additional amount, this was not an inexpensive repair, to fix the rattle. It did not fix the problem. It went back again and it was found that the previous diagnosis was incorrect. The strut was loose from the initial install. Then the wrong part came in, so four times to get the install correct.Having said that, the people are always friendly and they did work to get it corrected. So although I felt the additional incorrect diagnosis cost me more money that it should have not, I feel the staff worked to resolve the problem and remained friendly and professional. The issue was what it was and you’ll have that on occasion.

Nice break from the huge tire shops, which seem to be a bit chaotic at times. This place is sitting in a quiet place in town and really laid back. Employees are nice and knowledgeable. Been a customer of this company for quite a while, but first time at this location. Will be my go to spot from this point forward!Great job guys!

Having problems with my older van and they came out and towed the vehicle to their location in Elkhart. Everything was explained to me up front with what they were dealing with and the van has been running great since. Really enjoy doing business with them.

Had to replace a tire after only 20k miles on my car. I chose the dealer closest to where I work. Boy did I find a gem. They were quick to get me in. It seems my tire had cords showing and it wasn’t safe to drive.They lent me a used tire over night just to get home. Who does that now days???Reid was VERY. Attentive and took GREAT care of me and my car. I decided to have a full synthetic oil change and got a great price on that! $11 less than I normally pay. They have earned my business now and in the future!! Thanks for a great job! Reid makes you shine!!

We have used this location several times for tires, brakes, etc. Helpful staff, responsive to needs for quick repairs. The new waiting area is nice enough, coffee, water and wifi.

Staff is great. I get my tires swapped out from winter to summer each season with them. Prices are great but they do switch all the time on what I am quoted. They are always able to get it done in a timely manner which is why I use them.I have only ever had one issue, but they always take care it no charge. I always get a tire pressure sensor warning after they switch out the tires(every single time) but they have always fixed it when I ask.They know what they are talking about and I would recommend they work on your car.

I bought 6 new tires for my 2017 Ram Dually here. IWas extremely satisfied with the price for the tiresWith install. I showed up First thing Monday morningand was waited on immediately and tires were installed pretty quick with no waiting time at all. I wasTreated very professionally & will definitely return forFuture needs.

This is the second time I have used this shop. They got my car done in a timely manner. Its also been much cheaper than originally predicted. Ive had oil change, tune up, shocks, etc. done here and Ill be back when necessary.

Edited: This was at the Elkhart North: Three times I have taken my car there to get tires or fixed nails in them because my tires were under warranty with them. All 3 times my lug nuts have become dangerously loose. I called the 2nd time it happened and they said on the paper it says to tighten after 70 miles. Ok, but my mechanic who rotates my tires never seems to have this issue. I went back there this third time for a nail repair and told the person I want to make sure they hand tighten. He assured me that 2 different people had hand tightened them. Well, all lug nuts were loose again, and glad I was close enough to home to get it there safely.

Today was my first visit to Monteith’s. I came in to get my tire fixed, and the service was really great. I expected about a 45 minute visit, but it ended up being a little over an hour. When my car was finished, I went to pay and the guys sent me away with no charge. It absolutely made my day. Will definitely be back in the future!

First time i went there it was 3 hours to change 3 tires. Second time i went, they didnt even change the tire. Had to spell it out for them. I was looking for a new mechanic and they arent it.

Lots of additional charges added to the oil change. Had a coupon for a $19.99 full synthetic oil change that ended up being around $35 after paying for extra oil and my oil filter and disposal and shop fees. To me thats not a $19.99 oil change!! Very disappointed. The fine print only said some exclusion apply. That a lot of exclusions if you ask me! Grrrr....

First time at the location. Very nice, clean and the staff was friendly. They took my car in for an oil change and they took it back right away, problem is they ran out of oil and didnt tell me. I spent 2 hours there for a routine oil change. Stuff happens, they were apologetic however, a discount would have been appreciated for their error.

The people at Monteith were very helpful. We were on the way to Wisconsin when we got a flat tire entering Indiana. They put a new tire on within 30 minutes and we were out the door. When the tire pressure came on again after driving, we stopped by a different location and they checked right away. Good chain with good people

Quite courteous and thorough in their inspections. Monteith has worked on our used minivan from the very beginning. To include new tires, oil changes and other necessary repairs. While other mechanics may be cheaper, Monteith always had immediate availability and completed the work in a timely manner. I will always use them on every vehicle I own.

Have used monteith tire before, but this time they went way beyond the norm! They made sure I had a good set of tires, told me I needed 2 new trims , fixed my sensor light that was on my dash, changed my oil, and my cabin filter, and aligned my wheels and all at a reasonable price! I needed new tires on my 2013 GMC Sierra I went in spoke to one of the guys at the counter as soon as I walked in. I was thinking about just the 2 rear to help improve traction in this wintery weather but he offered me a great deal on all four. I went in to get head light changed they qouted 49 labor i was like hell yeah dealer qouted 169! They came out charged me 21 I was shocked who does this ! Great crew there!

Not sure why it took so long to get 4 tires put on after the truck was brought in. I was there for 3 hours and almost 1 1/2 hours to put on tires. The front tire doesnt seem balanced and none of the tires have valve covers. The $100 to dismount and put on the tires wasnt too bad of a price.

Service is great! Only thing I would like to see is a vacuum of the car when the oil is being change and serviced. They get you in an out and they are well on Apts also.

I went to another place and they didnt have my size, they called monteith for me and they said they had a tire for me. Got there and they have my car back and after awhile they come out and say the tire they had for my car has a hole in the side and they cant use it, but they have a tire that will fit my car and work and it was less than the other tire was going to be. It took a little bit long cause of the problem, but their waiting room was very clean and comfy.
