I am a regular at the Elk River Post Office. I go there regularly to ship and have always had great customer service.Today it was AMAZING customer service! I had four items to ship that required a larger size box. The clerks have always been great to do business with. Always going the extra mile.Today, they went above and beyond anything I have ever experienced.The boxes I had were too big and would have cost upward of $30-40 each!! Even though the item inside the box was less than a pound. They suggested to use one of their boxes that was smaller but still big enough to fit what I needed.They saved me almost a third of what I would have had to pay.Really tremendous employees

This USPS office is very horrible, very racist, very disrespectful. They will not answer questions. Hung up the phone on me, when I pointed out that, they are lying like a child, who got caught. Do Not do business here! Your hard earning income should not support the ignorant!!

My mailman Ray is awesome. Always smiling and goes out of the way to insure I get all my packages. There is another gentleman that works at the actual post office that is always very helpful and he is nice to my children as well.

I was there to send in a bill and I had asked one of the employees if I could just have 2 little peices of tape to tape down the corner of the envelope and she responded very Rudely we dont just give out tape you have to buy it, and I said all I need is 2 small peices to make sure my coins dont come out of the envelope and she said nope you need to buy tape if you want to use it. Very poor response to a customer who just had a simple small task/ question there was no need to be that rude so if my coins come out of the envelope I guess I know where to come if my bill comes up short since they couldnt be considerate and not rude about things. This will be the last time I come here for anything.

The lady we usually get on the weekdays is amazing. Very friendly and is careful with packages. The people we get on weekends or other random days are absolutely terrible. Leaving packages by the mailbox on the ground at the street so they are soaked in water or covered in snow. Another one was placed in front of my garage door in the corner, so I had no idea it was there. So I open the garage door and drive right over it with my car. On top of that, if it’s a larger package, whoever the guy is on the weekends will just mark “could not access door”. Won’t even drop it off out of laziness because he doesn’t feel like delivering it, this was on a nice sunny day in the summer. I’m changing my postal service to... Ooh right, I can’t. Lucky them.

The lady at the deck was very helpful and friendly. I asked about the ratings of 2.0 and they said those people are no longer with them. I said great! Keep up the good work postal workers!!!

USPS is atrocious. Package says delivered on or in mailbox in elk river, 55330 well... where is my package? Nowhere to be found. It didnt come to my house or mailbox as my camera is set to record any motion there. How can it be delivered if nobody ever came to deliver it??

The staff there is very rude...

Feeling frustrated at the level of accountability and service provided by post office and delivery personnel. Had a package that was identified as not deliverable due to nobody home ¬ wanting to leave the package. Not only was I home at the attempted delivery but so were other members of the family. Called and they looked into it; was told they would make sure it would be delivered to me the next day. The next day comes and goes and the mail man actually drives by me as I was standing in the drive way talking to the neighbor. No stop; no package. Called again, received a different individual who was short on the phone and snarky and asked if the drive way was clear of snow; yes the drive way was clear of snow both days. No reason for the package not to be brought to the door as the size would never fit in any mail box. Told they would look into it- no call back. Not only did the delivery person lie by saying attempted delivery and nobody home; but lied to about it being delivered the next day, and lied to it being looked into. If someone doesnt want to do the duties of their job; they should be looking for a new job. The post office should not contract with amazon and other carriers to deliver packages if they cant handle the delivery portion of the job.

I so appreciate the people that work at this post office. No matter how long the line may be or how hectic their day may have been, theyve never been anything but professional and courteous. They always take time to explain my mailing options when Im unsure. Id also like to thank them personally for helping me find my lost phone. I live equal distance to two post offices, but I opt to go to this one whenever possible. (When I dont have business near the other one)

Ive been home all day and received an email saying that my packages were not deliverable due to them not wanting to leave them unattended. I walked to the mail box to see if I had a slip from them, no slip. My driveway is clear, my steps are clear, my sidewalk is clear, mail box is empty, my lights are on, and my package did not require a signature. Pretty sure there isnt a reason I havent heard as to why my package cant be delivered. They were NOT here. Im trying to be patient but this happens ALL the time!!

They said delivery was attempted, but my video doorbell says otherwise.The email sent said Sorry we missed you. USPS tried to deliver your package today but didnt want to leave it unattended.We were home. No responsibility or consequences at this post office.They are probably mad at me because I stopped re-delivering all of my neighbors mail that shows up in my mailbox...Update: Item was left in my mail box shortly after, unattended. Proves my initial theory that delivery was never attempted the first time.

I called about three weeks ago to inquire on a price for a lock for The place that I am renting because I was having issues with the lock, I said verbatim I am calling inquiring on what it would cost if I were to change my lock. The postmaster (Cassie) stated it would be $40. I told her I needed to verify with my landlord prior to getting it switched if that is what he wanted to do. She said call back and let us know so that we can order the lock if you choose to go that route. Next thing I know 10 days later I get a voicemail saying that I owe the post office $40 and my lock on my mailbox has now been changed, I called them and told them that I did not authorize this to anybody nor did I sign anything/pay for anything and I was told well the lock is changed and too bad you will have to pay for it if you want to get your mail. (Those exact words from the supervisor! Then this weekend I had military duty and on Friday I called and tried speaking to them to get a resolution because I needed my mail and have drill. I was told in multiple ways I don’t care if you have drill this weekend that’s not our problem and you can figure what ur gonna do but YOU WILL PAY THE 40 bucks. I said “your supposed to have great customer service to all Customers” and the supervisor said “pay the 40 and I am done talking to you, and hung up”. I said today when I called how did you know that it was somebody that actually lived at the location that was calling when you decided to just go ahead with what you thought and change the lock… I could’ve called in and said change box for and you didn’t even verify that I lived at that place before changing the lock that I never requested. She also stated she would have all my mail sent returned to sender if I don’t pay them the 40 for the lock even though I didn’t authorize it. The postmaster and supervisor at this location are rude and disrespectful. At one point of conversation post master said “she didn’t care about the military” either. This is who we trust with our mail?!?! I already have been in touch with legal avenues to make sure nobody else has to go through this also. GOOGLE MADE ME GIVE ONE STAR BUT IF IT COULD HAVE BEEN 0/5 star it would have been!

Walked in with toddler in one hand and package in another to just send out a prepaid return Amazon package. Asked for a receipt. Older lady at the counter said - not an option, no tracking on package. I insisted that I needed a proof that package was actually sent out. She had me fill out proof of sending form (while I was holding fussy toddler with cold). When I finished, she said It will be $1.45 .. It would be really helpful to know that beforehand, since I didnt expect to pay for a receipt and filling out those silly forms with child on hands! You usually get receipts for free at any UPS/FedEx etc. No wander they get poor reviews.. Never again will I use USPS in Elk River!

Waited by the mailbox this morning to make sure we could get our package. Mail carrier Never showed, but we did get a message that they couldnt access the mailbox. Pretty sure its still a crime to tamper with the mail!!

So were to start. The people at this branch are the most careless people ever. They truly do not care about anyone. They are rude unhappy people. I called to complain about the driver who peeled out of my driveway and left skid Marks in my driveway thru my grass and in the street. The rude lady brushed it off and hung up on me

This might be the friendliest post office staff I’ve ever met in all my years of going to post offices everywhere in America! Not a joke. If anyone gives less than a 4 Star review here, it cannot be because of the staff—perhaps it’s because customers can be rude, unprepared, ask for things which postal employees cannot do, or just woke up grumpy. Next time, all ya bad reviewers, try putting a little honey on your approach. These folks shine like the sun in a world dimmed by the bureaucratic mess for which the USPS has unfortunately been known. EXCELLENT JOB!

Once again its 530 and they are late with the mail. So late that they just drove past our mail and neighbors fast to get their work done without dropping our mail off. Im getting sick of this

Short on staff most of the time there is one worker at the counter and a line of customers almost out the door...other then that we have never had a problem staff is very friendly very helpful always smiling, its a very clean post office.

I work from home and my dog barks. I went to see why my dog was barking and I saw a Post Office truck outside my house. It sat there for approximately 5 minutes, which turns out to be enough time to fill out a sorry we missed you slip but sadly not enough time to walk to my door and get the required signature. Glad the sender is resending through UPS, not confident Ill ever get it from USPS.

Please SLOW DOWN. Just because its a dirt road, SLOW DOWN. The residence on the road pay to repair it. Please be respectful!

Our mail carrier is VERY lazy. I am constantly getting my neighbors mail ... not a piece here and there but sometimes its there entire days mail and its every week. She will also stuff packages in the box and rip the packaging because she doesnt want to drive up the driveway.

Yet another fail to deliver the package. Saying they couldnt gain access. Its a house...yes you can. No one attempted to deliver.

Mail carrier is incredibly lazy. I had a package to be delivered, but since we recently had our driveway re-paved, they couldnt drive up to the house. They did not bother to walk up to the door with the package. They did not even leave a notice in the mailbox that they attempted to deliver. Pathetic lack of care or service! USPS needs to go bankrupt and be shut down - let private industry take over.

Held my mail for 10 days because mailbox was full even though I check it every day. Never left a note of any kind but claimed I didnt look hard enough for it. Returned all my mail to the senders without telling me. Terrible workers.

Any time my package is larger than what would fit in mailbox it is marked as a failed attempt and I am forced to pick up my package myself... This happened today as I was sitting on my porch watching the mail car drive by. Shortly after passing my home I was notified of a failed attempt at delivery.

Why does a small town post office like this one NEVER have adequate counter help??? There is always a long line of folks waiting for service.
