A lady who could have been the manager was super rude to us when we came in with a large Amazon return. Our Amazon return email said no box necessary, just bring to the UPS store and show them your qr code. So we haul our package in there covered in packing material just to be rudely told by her that wed have to buy a box. We dont just give those away for free. We are in the business to make money not give it away. So after realizing we would rather buy a box than haul it back out I asked her how much the box would be. She told me they didnt have a box that big so they couldnt ship it. And that was it. Didnt even try to be nice about it. The only saving grace was a younger guy that worked there who tried to be nice to us and offered to help us get it back out to our car. I dont normally even post reviews but I was pretty shocked by how rude she was. That was the worst customer service Ive had in a really long time.

My experience was less than helpful, my return was completed but not without abject irritation on the associates face. She just stood there and scowled at me. I thought about asking if she was okay but I asked a return related question and she threw her hands in the air, huffed-puffed, and rolled her eyes and acted like I was a complete indisposition. I smiled and greeted her said please and thank you over and over, ya know kill with kindness, and that scowl never left her face. It was just a disappointing experience. I am gathering from other reviews this may be common . Maybe UPS Store should check in and make sure she is okay.

I’ve been to this location twice and both times I have been scolded, talked down to, and cut off while expressing my concerns/asking questions in regards to the items I am shipping out of the elk river UPS. This type of service and behavior is beyond inexcusable, especially coming from a 50+ year old. Your employees are a direct reflection of the company itself- do better.

Had a very good experience. We had multiple packages to ship to multiple addresses. They took the time to help us make sure everything got sent to where they needed to go. They also had the supplies necessary to send a few items that we did not have packaging for. They seemed genuinely happy to have us there and to help us.

I literally have had to mail out my husbands graffic card 7 time and I have came to this ups ever time but today the teller literal refused to mail it out or print the label . Well that weird every other time I was here it was fine to mail it in the box I brought it in . And I was there at 9 am when it wasn’t busy . So rude!not helpful .. I swear customer service is non existent anymore. Sad

Very disappointed with my recent experiences. received a quote one morning, of $75 to ship a speaker, using the guaranteed Pack and Ship. Dimensions and weight were provided to the lady I spoke with. Later that day, I brought the speaker in and then the quote was $167. Not worth it. I also had a 65 inch TV to ship. This time, I brought the TV in for weighing and measuring for an accurate quote. The owner, Shaun, weighed and measured and then told me he could pack it, but I had to take it to the Maple Grove location for shipping - he said the trucks that ship those size packages do not stop at the Elk River store. I agreed to this, as I was moving and wanted to keep my TV. Later that day, I picked up my boxed TV. I drove it to Maple Grove as directed. Nope, they do not ship boxes that size either and they told me they have had this problem before. They suggested I send it UPS freight. UPS freight will not ship it unless the UPS Store that packed it, writes a letter of approval - as the TV is considered a “restricted commodity” So, I called Shawn. He said he would investigate alternatives for me. That was 7 days ago. Crickets. Now, I am stuck with a custom boxed TV ($80), sitting in a friend’s garage in MN - while I executed my move to Arizona. Here’s my experience- They do not know what they are doing at UPS Elk River. Worse than over promise and under deliver. No delivery! Disgusted!!!!EDITED:Just want to let everyone know that the owner did reply to my concerns and provided me with a full refund. Very thankful for his response and action. Thank you!!

RUDE!! So busy talking down to me she didnt actually understand what I was trying to communicate. And she ended my brief transaction with if you have a problem call Amazon not me. Welcome to the not my problem store. Even if it is between me and Amazon, it was a rude way to end the transaction and dismiss me. Ill go to a different location next time.

Rude! I dont know if its the manager, but the lady that works there is super rude. I was waiting in line for my turn and she said she would help me, so I stepped up and put my boxes down and she rudely told me to step back...before I had a chance to even do anything...then I was pulling up my return codes (I had 3 ) and she just walked away and said oh so and so will help you when he done...while just walking away from me. There was nobody else in the store. Why she was so rude to me, I dont know. But the person who helped me was slightly more pleasant. Guess Ill gladly use a different UPS store from now on.

I was told by an employee over the phone last week that the store was open until 6:30PM. But when I arrived yesterday at 6:15, it was closed. Luckily, someone who hadnt left yet opened the door and accepted my two prepared packages. But they could not process an Amazon return I had so Ill be driving another 20 miles round-trip from Big Lake today to conveniently return the package via UPS.

I went to the UPS store to get an 11x17 lake map printed because I didnt have time to wait for Wal-Mart. This was the first time Ive printed at the store. Customer service was great, the woman working even printed a few different maps for me so I could choose which one I liked the best. I would recommend swinging by when in a rush to get a print!

Elk River location: Very disappointed. They close at 3:00 and I arrived very close to closing, 2:57 but the door was locked. When I ran a business we did not lock the door until a few minutes after in case anyone came last minute, but we definitely never locked the doors early. The employee came to the door and unlocked it and said “sorry we’re closed. We already shut down the register”. I said “you closed a few minutes early” and she said “I’m sorry.” No...you really were not sorry. If you were truly customer focused you would not have closed early and then denied someone service even though it was not your closing time yet. If you are open until 3, you should be open until 3...which means you serve anyone coming in before 3:00. And I see this is not the first time this has happened based on a previous review.

Its great having a UPS store in Elk River. Overall, I just think UPS has the best point-to-point system of any delivery business. There was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to use UPS to ship skis and accessories to someone, and the ER store didnt let me down. They were very helpful, explained my options, and got the skis shipped that day. The UPS store in ER also offers other services, like printing.

***WENT TO FEDEX A BLOCK AWAY 6 PAGES PRINTED 81¢, and this place wanted $5 for ONE PAGE??? Do not I repeat do not go to this place. I have been going into UPS stores all across Minnesota Wisconsin Florida everywhere. If I want to get a document printed from my email every other store like this including other UPS stores that I visited my entire life have charged me $0.27 for this service (it may very by 10 cents or so), not this place. I walk into this UPS store to print off a piece of paper from my email and they charge $5??? On top of that ridiculous charge then to get it notarized it was $5?? I can spend $10 here or I could go to any other UPS store or FedEx store and spend $0.27 and I could get a free notary at a bank?? You may do whatever you want , but just know this UPS Store charges over 1500% more then every other place that Ive ever been to simply to get a document printed! I would understand if it were a little more expensive (it is a franchise) like $1.00 or so but almost 2000%??? Really??? Look it up I am telling the truth STAY AWAY!! FedEx down the street is a business also they need to make money also, and they charge not just reasonable prices but NOTHING AS OUTRAGEOUS AS YOUR PLACE WOW!!

Avoid. I did not have a preprinted label. They require you to rent a computer to print a label at their location for $5.00. Price is ridiculous. When I questioned the price, the individual basically told me to take my attitude and leave. Extremely rude. It is fine to have a small fee to print a label. However, they are taking advantage of people. Lost my business and I generally don’t write reviews. Individual was a complete jerk.

He wanted me to pay $10 to tape two boxes together... That seems very expensive for 2 min & a couple pieces of tape... Especially on a return that is supposed to be free shipping..

Slow workers causing lines around the building. Ridiculous rules and annoying blue circles to stand on which they enforce fiercely and wont proceed until you are on said blue circle. Takes forever to get in the building and then forever to get through the line in the building. Took 45mins to drop off a package.

A horrible representation of the UPS brand. This location is terrible, slow and the worst customer service and just plan rude. We drop a couple dozen prepaid packages off a year and I always feel as though were being treated as 2nd class customers due to the fact that were not spending money in the store. Many times I feel like theyre going out of their way to not accept a package that we are shipping. The worst is when my wife was charged $5 to tape a label on. When I think of a shipping store, I think of a place with a friendly atmosphere and all the tools and attitude needed to provide you with all your shipping needs.

Did it again! I took a old picture in to be wrapped and shipped. Picture wasPainted on silk of my parents. I was living in Japan. The Japanese also putIn a custom frame with glass. My sister in Calif was a victim of the fires. Lost everything.So had to get this picture to her. She got it today. Everything is fine. Said it waspacked and wrapped unbelievable. Thank you Dave for helping me out. Did a greatjob! The UPS is the place to go in Elk River. He packed and shipped a sewing machinethat arrived fine to Dallas. Great job!The best of service. My business uses the UPS Store for its mailbox and shipping. We love the notifications by email that we have mail and the ability to go get mail after hours and on weekends. They also recommend shipping rates for Speedee if possible so you get the best deal.

My girlfriend had went to this UPS store to drop off some packages after coming home from school but due to traffic she arrived at the office literally two minutes before the store was supposed to close. When she had walked up to the door she found that it was locked but there were still employees inside working. They saw my girlfriend standing at the door and just quickly looked away not waving her off or letting her in to drop the packages off when the store wasn’t even supposed to close yet. A minute later a lady (who we later find out was the manager) comes out from the back and sees my girlfriend standing at the door but again just ignores her after looking at her. A few moments pass by and a couple show up to the door trying to drop off a package too but this time the manager acknowledges the couple and waves them off that the store is closed. I can understand if the store was closing since it was a couple of minutes beforehand but the fact that the employee and manager saw my girlfriend waiting outside to drop off packages and just ignored her after and proceeded to acknowledge the couple who showed up later is utterly ridiculous. We are extremely disappointed with the service of this location and will not be coming back. We will also be making a phone call to the supervisor of the store to let them know our disappointment.

Ive never seen such slow service everytime Im here . 10 people in line for 15 minutes. After that long of a wait, THEN they tell the line of people if you are just dropping off, you can put them in a pile over here in the floor? 3/4 of us immediately do so. Each of us lost 15 minutes waiting to be told that. Worst thing is, the location where they tell you to drop off is different every time I go so I have to wait until they announce the new spot to leave it. Please get organized with some signs or something. Theyre nice enough I guess, but slow.

This might not be the local stores fault, but if I owned a store, and a customer called that wanted to print a UPS label because their printer was damaged, I would not charge them a $4.95 access fee and 10 cents to print the shipping label for my own company. They never explain to you how to get around the access fee by uploading it and printing it to the store using the online printing option, because they want the $4.95. With this kind of customer service, I will not be using them again. Customer Service is King!

Attempted to ship a package here today. Wont be going back to this location.The depth of my package was measured at 7. When I questioned the girl, she insisted that it was 7. I know that it was 6, but she stated that it didnt matter whether it was 6 or 7 because it didnt change the shipping amount (I dont believe that). Then after she had printed the label, she pushed a sheet of paper at me (a page of very fine print) and told me that I needed to sign the paper, I asked why, and she stated that it was to confirm that I confirmed the shipping address. When I decided to read the paper, the girl became visibly annoyed. READ the paper, you are giving up your RIGHT to take any dispute to court (they are binding you to arbitration, which is much more expensive than litigation, I already pay taxes, so I will use the court system I already pay for via my taxes, and NOT their arbitration). Their form, which is really a contract, is very convoluted. If you need to make a claim, you have to do so with in a certain number of days, but the form doesnt tell you anything about the process or procedure for filing a claim. The contract bounced all over from relieving UPS, then relieving the UPS store, then shifting the blame around and then using some of the UPS rules, but then not.At the very bottom of the form, there is a small paragraph about double checking the shipping address, so I crossed off everything that didnt relate to ensuring the shipping address was correct. Of course, that met with ridicule and the girl asked why I crossed off most of the language in their contract, I told her that she represented to me that the paper was ONLY to ensure that I double checked the shipping address, and since that was the only STATED purpose, I crossed off all other terms. Then her manager stepped in and told her to cancel out the transaction. I attempted to speak to him, but he doesnt know contract law at all. He also had a profuse body odor issue, and I wanted to get away from him and not continue to gag.So, I took my package over to FedEx across the highway. Not only was I able to ship my package without having to sign ALL of my rights away, they also charged me LESS. The lady over there measured my box correct and stated that it was 6 deep (like I already knew). So, I saved money, and retained my RIGHTS by going to FedEx.Wont be going back to UPS! At least NOT this location, nor likely any other retail outlet. If I had to, I would chose to go directly to UPS itself and not a scattered retail outlet.P.S. I think you mean drivel ... learn how to spell!Also, please read the many other negative reviews about Dave et al. As far as representation of the interaction, I recorded it with my cell phone!Some abusive men attack women when they are called out by dismissing their experiences, questioning their sanity (strain the boundaries of reality?!?!), and attacking them for their assertiveness (exaggerated opinion of yourself); classy way to deflect!Yes, I expect topnotch service from those who ship my packages, but nothing more than the UPS standard (which is lacking here). The transaction referenced here happened to be over a personal package (a rare package for me, but it was an xmas gift). My business requires confidentiality and discretion with client information, packages, documents etc. secured by competent carriers. If I cannot trust the clerks at a UPS store to safely carry an xmas gift to a loved one, I am certainly not going to expose my clients confidential information by enlisting any UPS services at this location.

HORRIBLE STAY AWAY!! SEE NOTE BELOWI shipped a package from UPS Elk River, MN store and it arrived damaged. This happens. I opened a damage claim with UPS in Elk River and they said theyd handle it. Three days later, I called and asked about the status. They said it was being handled and no problem and was being inspected. I waited over the weekend till the Tuesday following the Friday call, and the UPS store rep told me that it was in their care and being inspected and should have an answer the next day. Only later that night to find out my customer was irate because the package was delivered to HIS customer in Texas!So I called UPS in Elk River the next day. Talked to the owner. At first, he seemed like things were being handled. But I called Corporate UPS and they gave a different story. When I called back to the UPS store in Elk River, The owner gave me a poor excuse that the employee was new and didnt get it right. THAT EMPLOYEE BLAINTLY LIED! If he would have looked at the tracking number that day (or even days ago) he would have known it was on its way to a different state and WAS NEVER inspected.The owner of the UPS Store in Elk River, MN was RUDE and unwilling to offer solutions for me especially when my customer is irate at me because he has a loss of use from the product and a run around from me that the UPS store is giving me. My customer claims that I should have used a reliable UPS shipper.UPS drivers did damage the delivery, but the UPS store in Elk River could care less, nor will they offer any solutions to the problems they created. The owner just defended the employee who did wrong. When I asked what theyd do to make this right with me and my customer, NO solution. Then he got upset and told me that hed terminate the phone call after I told him that (with no answers), Id have to take them to court. UPS corporate stated they are a Franchise and NO way associated with UPS corporate, just a third party shipper and cant be held responsible. Do you really want to ship with a company that acts this way?NOTE: As of this writing, UPS corporate called today and said they have assigned an investigator that over sees UPS franchises to specifically investigate this store and their conduct! UPS advised me to use an official UPS center, NOT this UPS store.

This review gets more than one star because the clerk was at least friendly and they did tape up my box for me. (Which is more than I can say for USPS)Dropped off a package to return to Amazon. Had a shipping label that needed to be converted from email to paper.Instead of just being able to send them the email, and them printing it out for me, for FREE (like multiple other ups stores have done for me) they charged me $5 to use a computer, have me log in to my own email account, and print it off myself.Its one thing if they charged me to print out a shipping label (as if its 1995 and printing costs dollars and not cents...), I can honestly deal with that but to charge me to use a PC and then make me print it out and stick it in a pouch myself!?Im sorry but this is 2018, if youre going to charge people for menial things just because UPS corporate is screwing you over than at least deliver exceptional customer service. Charge me $5 next time and at least do it all for me. Serious advice.
