Nice store for basics, some things can be expensive but many things are a really great deal. Staff are always super nice & helpful. Can get very busy at unpredictable times. House brand (First Street) is really good on quite a few items & very reasonably priced. Beats Costco on quite a few things I buy regularly.

Nowadays, that can turn the average family size shopper into a new smarter economy shopper. It makes me thinkLittle House on the Prairie days are back in style.This new old way of life & shopping transforms the way we think about how we want to use our prescious time.The smarter shopper may want to prepare bigger batches of the family favorites in order to freeze the main dishes to serve at a later date. A couple of big cooking days a week can allow the rest of the week to be as easy as 10 mins. of heating up the precooked meal. Good location in Elk Grove and lots of varieties of fresh meats and produce. Place are clean but seems a bite cluttered with small aisle. Hard for two peoples with carts past by without careful not hit the others. However, it’s convenient in getting large quantities party items without having to go to Costco. Able to pick up all my items!

This is my favorite Smart & Final in Sacramento County because they carry everything I need as far as groceries, paper products and cleaning supplies. Also, I can always find sugar-free foods and other healthy items.

I wish the aisles were wider. Two people with carts cant easily pass each other. But the staff are friendly, and its usually well stocked. Their produce section is pretty good too, and prices are reasonable.

The cashier was VERY rude. I bought a watermelon & she rolled it onto the big area where they bag your groceries & it hit the side of the counter. If it was FREE I wouldnt say anything, but S_ _ _ Im BUYING IT!!! NOT good customer service if you ask me!!! Wont go back to this location!!

Always like shopping at Smart & Final. There was a huge line today but everything went pretty quickly. Prices are great. Just wish I could find someone to help. Looking for a specific item, maybe I wasnt looking in the right place.

This smart and final location is well run. Cashiers are nice. Store is clean and organized. Bulk items are cheap. They have the best tasting roasted chickens. Store stocking could be better. Several times there have been bare shelves with the items up overhead. Would give 5 stars if stocking was better.

Out of what I came in for.If you are going to put something on sale please make sure you stock up.

Sent son in to get chicken on sale. Came out with wrong brand. Went in after him. They were hesitant to exchange until I explained his handicap. Then manager exchanged the normal policy but understood he needed to learn to shop & made the exchange.

Its a good place, dont visit it much but one recent thing that happened was there was only one cashier every other was closed. This was at night so I get that but it took so way to long for an average scan and pay at the register. 💸 It was an okay grocery store after all the staff were nice. 👍

Well stocked store. Friendly service. They even had plenty of paper products like towels, toilet paper, etc.

Avoid this store. Bought few of these once and they were covered with fungus. Manager was unwilling to work with me as well. They don’t pay attention to there produce. Manager kept on changing the topic. It was ridiculous!!

First time shopping there. Very good selection of items and attentive service.

Some staff (cashier) arent too friendly to be honest and some prices on the isle are sometimes different than the receipt especially the produce.

Smart and Final was almost empty to shop. Got a great deal on a prime rib roast, potatoes and green beans!

I was at Smart & Final on 8787 Elk Grove blvd, Elk Grow, CA 95624 yesterday morning. (August18, 2020). I stood on the sign STAY HERE AND WAIT FOR CASHIERS CALL. The cashier lady kept ordering me to step back to the sign behind this sign and wait for her call. Either she can not read the sign where I stood or she enjoyed ordering customers to follow her rule, ignoring stores rule.Nobody would go to a store with so unfriendly rude cashier !!!

I live in San Francisco I visited this store and was so dam impressed that I had to write a review.Store vary vary clean found everything that I needed it looks like a real super market not like how most smart and final look like in the past.The associates were very courteous and helpful with great attitude towards there work and customers I would definitely recommend this wonderful store and would always shop there as I visit Elk Grove often

Great location for families on a budget. It has everything the higher priced stores have for less.There is a limited selection of personal items including toothpaste and mouthwash.There is a large selection of fresh beef, pork, and chicken as well.An extensive selection of packaged deli meat an cheese.Fresh bakery, dairy products and produce.They also have a huge selection of small business sized paper goods and utensils.The staff is friendly and efficient, they get you through the check stand fairly quickly. The bathrooms and store are always clean.8/11/2018

Nice market to shop, a lot of bulk type items. I like a lot of there freezer type foods like the vegetables, party wings (chicken), lasagnas. One issue i do have is with some of there produce seems to go bad really early. Like bananas, potatoes, brocolli. Overall it is a nice clean place to shop.

If you know your prices you can get some decent sale items. Our observation is customer service can be sparse.The guy in the meat department acted as though he was doing us a favor when asked about a sales item. Tighten up your customer service folks.

This place is going down hill quick. The last three times Ive been there, they have been way under staffed and the lines are ridiculous. Today one of the clerks kept getting on her cell phone between customers. Seriously!! They better squash that quick! Younger Hispanic female with curly blonde hair. This was happening on 06/13 at 6:30pm. Several customers complained.

One of the best Smart & Final stores in Northern California! Its centrally located, in the Elk Grove Community. The produce is the absolute freshest! The staff are extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable! Their prices rival both Sams, and Costco! My most favorite S&F ever!!!!!!

This is my every day store. The staff are very friendly and their prices good. Its a 5 star for me.

Don’t use the app for delivery. It is a 3rd party shopper and they don’t deliver any time close to what you schedule. Over 5 hours after the scheduled delivery time slot. That’s how late they were.

I have to warn others on this: I bought a large pack of kale that said double washed I decided to wash again because it still looked dirty. As I was washing I noticed that what looked like dirt was actually thousands of tiny knats/bugs I tried washing in vinegar 3 times, soaking, straining, the works and still tons of bugs. So I decided to toss. Just want to warn others to look closely at your produce!!

There have been improvements since I was last here. The veggies and fruits are fresher and more plentiful. Better selection of meat.

If you dont ship at smart and final yet you really should. They have great prices on fresh produce and cant be great doing sales. They are part of our weekly shopping list!

Every time I go there before work I get in line and just as I wonder how long it will be someone comes over and opens a register. NEVER a long wait at all. Great job people.

Every time I shop with you, you are out of diet pepsi when its on sale. You have a very nice store great employees very helpful. But its frustrating to go shopping for something and its a common product and you dont ever seem to have it.

Fair prices, but you do need to be careful some items can be purchased at the Big Groceries for less when they are on sale

Always clean, love the variety at the bulk bin area. Excellent choices in frozen and produce. Employees always helpful. The only complaint is the loud music. Please turn it down.

Checkout is exhausting at Elk Grove Smart n Final. Theres so little staff to customer ratio that the lines are bonkers. Otherwise you can catch a decent deal and some cool bulk product.

The store was clean, well stocked with a wide selection of products. The only drawback in my opinion is that the aisles were pretty narrow.

Honestly this store is piece of trash, i onky liked going here cuz its right by my house but not anymore better go to savemart, everytime i go shop here, no more thn 1 register is open and even that register line is slow bcuz of slow and rude cashiers, last time i went to and they opened second register less thn 10 items and i had more thn that but i choose not to waste time in that long as slow line and cashier in less thn 10 items got all rude with me and telling me that she is checking me out this time but next time she wont, i bet she was new and young who didnt know how to do customer service and she did no apology , its not our fault that they dont have more thn 1 register open and whole staff is rude as hell, next time for sure im calling their home office for their bad service.

This location never has enough cashiers, the staff is not very helpfull, and the store is rarely clean. I worked for the company for 10 years through college and this is a sorry excuse. They are lucky I like the company as a whole and the prices or this store would not make me come back.

The supply/stock is limited. Only one loaf of bread, only one box of our ice cream. The day of the week or time of day doesnt make a difference.

My 11 year old daughter was holding a small apple pie & it accidentally slip out of her hands onto the conveyer belt at the register and spilt out of the container. My daughter was almost in tears because she did this. She was embarrassed and up set with her self. The girl working the register was very rude about it. She said, oh thats ok.....in the next breath she knows she did it on purpose! Keep in mind I said Id clean it up my self and apologized several times. This girl kept making comments, oh, ok ... then in the next breath a snide rude comment would come out of her mouth like she was being funny! I will NOT be going back here again! My experience here with the customer service hasnt been all that great, but today was it for me. This customer is no longer a customer. I will be sharing with my other family members and friends here in Elk Grove.
