If you value your time and money, STAY AWAY. I made a big mistake reading positive reviews and hiring mr Steve Whitworth.  first appointment was great. Lots of promises and as soon as you make that deposit and he wants you to pay the whole sum right away, you are out of luck. Communication is NON EXISTENT, you will chase and beg him for an updates about your case and in the best case scenario you will receive a text “ ALL IS WELL.” The most important thing in a lawyer is COMMUNICATION with the client, which is non existent with this lawyer, if you are looking for more stress and loose a lot of money, then go ahead, my recommendation is to find a different lawyer.

I do NOT recommend him. The initial meeting was good but that was just to get your business. Once you have paid the $8,000 dollars for the retainer he doesnt follow up with you about the case. Things he promised he doesnt follow through with, contact becomes limited and you end up dealing with his paralegal assistant. He said I could put money into a trust and he would load money on my prison canteen account. Went 4 months with no money and no reply to my 3 letters. Had to get the State Bar involved in order to get him ( his paralegal) to respond and resume putting money on my books. Hell I should have just went with the public defender and saved $$$. They could have done the same plea deal.

After having done some research, I have decided to give this law firm a shot, and Im so happy I did the right choice. Without Mr. Steve explaining and leading me through the legal system, the outcome of my case would have been 100% different. He got my case totally dismissed and even had the officer who treated me unfairly admonished by the court. A bunch of thanks!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Promises me he would take care of a case out of town and failed to show up, sent me an email stating he could not be at the court date at 8pm the night before so basically no notice at all, then 2 days before my next court date he sends me an email saying hes dropping me as a client and will not be showing up, I have already went to families out of town for thanksgiving holiday and he doesnt have the decency to even let me know my court dates til its too late!I paid this guy way more money than other attorneys wanted because he made it sound like he would take care of everything for me, now I have a bench warrant after giving him THOUSANDS!DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY ON THIS CROOK!
