Mmmmmmm, pepper sticks! Homemade ham salad is just divine! Ive been visiting Groffs since I was a child. Always friendly and helpful and such delicious products!

They have the freshest meats and cheeses. They also have some homemade salads such as chicken salad which they make its delishes !They will cut your meat and steaks , chicken how you like it.They also have grocery and frozen items as well. You must stop in and check them out...always get great fresh steaks ..they butcher themselves.

I really do love Groffs, meats.. but I got a few things today , was very disappointed that I had to go back because she forgot to put some of my items in the bag after I paid for them. The same thing happened to a customer on Monday , please , just check your bag before you leave the store, just in case they forgot something, .

They are the best! I buy their meats at the Amish Country Store down in Largo, FL. Their Hickory Smoked Bacon is fantastic, as well as their Sausages, and Sweet Baloney Sticks. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the products. Groffs is the best!

Groffs Meats was extremely busy, I really like their prices, it was the first time I was ever there, got a ham for Easter and some ring bologna, a chicken pie ,chorizo, will have to try everything before I make a decision if I go back there, but was impressed with all the people that were there to get something so hopefully everything I got will be good😊

Over 100 years in the same location for a reason. They process the meat literally next door, you cant get much fresher than that. Ive met several people from around the country that stop in when in the area. Best quality in the area and some of the freshest.

Groffs is the place to go if you want good real meats. When you walk in you are welcomed with a smell that you may not be use to but should be thankful for. This is a real meat place not a place that has it shipped in and displays it really pretty. These people work so hard to bring the best pieces of meat and at the best price. This review only addresses Groffs ability (failure rather) to process venison in a reasonable timeframe. I dropped my boneless venison off at Groffs for deer sticks the week after Christmas 2018 and have yet to receive a phone call for pick up. I have called several times to verify they actually are processing only to be told its not done yet. First it was October, then November and still nothing on the 23rd of December 2019. I will say that Groffs makes the best deer bologna and sticks around, if you care to wait a year for it. Take your venison someplace else if not.

Not a huge fan of their deli salads (potato, mac) but they have a great selection of beef cuts and I stop by usually once a week for our weekly beef fix. Great Strip steaks, soooo good just pan fry with some salt, pepper and butter.

Far away my favorite for butcher shop with a huge high quality selection! I always encounter a knowledgeable, friendly and patient staff! They carry a wide variety of Pennsylvania Dutch preserves, sauces, noodles, even Shoe Fly pie mix and more!

Butcher plus small store. Good place to get meat to stock up on. We ordered 1/2 hog which gives 90 to 100 lbs of meat. You tell them how you want it, roasts, chops, sausage.... Comes wrapped & frozen ready for your freezer.

Without a doubt the best bacon around. Have yet to purchase anything from Groffs that wasn’t delicious. Don’t forget to try their cheeses.

Best place for fresh meat

Phenomenal meats at great prices! Their pork is fresh and is perfect for the smoker when having summer bbqs. Do not sleep on the beef sticks.....they are also delicious and a great snack while waiting for your dinner too cook!

The bees knees in the area for fresh beef and pork. They also carry hippie hot dogs. Call ahead for special/large orders, it can get very crowded.

Unfortunately I have to give Groff’s a low rating.I should have turned around at the first red flag- dirty floor, dirty shelves. But, I ordered anyway and it didn’t get better. It’s standard to handle raw meat with bare hands in shops like Groff’s. I’m ok with that actually. What I am not ok with is that after touching the raw meat, there was no hand washing or glove usage when using the register, when opening doors, when handling my bag,and worst of all when handling my credit card. AND (for the sake of cross contamination into prepared foods), there was a customer behind me who had an order of prepared food (wings and deli meat). The employee who waited on him used the same register and bags that my employee did. I know a bit about food safety code and regs and this is just No. No, no, no, no. If you’re going to handle raw meat with out gloves, then execute a proper hand washing regimen prior touching other items- especially the customer’s property. To me this goes beyond rules and regulations of food safety- it’s respect in its simplest form. I was not afforded this respect. The customer service was also just as bad as their food safety. No smiles, barely a greeting (“who’s next?!”), not even a thank you. Should have gone to giant. Sorry Groff’s. I will not be back.

Old fashioned butcher shop with very good meats and cheese plus a tiny grocery section for locals who can walk to the store for the basics. Dont expect organic, grass fed, etc - its been a family run place for many many years and hasnt changed.I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because as many others have noted, the assistance is hit or miss and if you dont know their system of getting a number you will be overlooked if its busy. They are also iffy on how much help they can give you about how to prepare cuts etc so I ask the person to ask someone else if they dont know. Good prices, great meats in a traditional butcher shop. If you expect more, youll be disappointed. Hands down the best bacon weve ever eaten.

Especially since the charcuterie place moved out of town, its nice to have a place with quality meats. That said, I have asked a couple of times about the source of their meat, if they would carry grass fed or finished meat, etc and they just dont seem to have answers to questions like that.

This place has the meats, and it has continued to have the meats since I was like 5 years old back in the 1980s. Quality of just about everything here is excellent (hamloaf!!! Pig stomach!!!).

I agree with the comment below. My wife and I stood at the cash register for about 15 minutes. The staff walked around me, by me, looked in my face and walked away. My wife and I put back the arm full of stuff we both had and walked out. Staff never even acknowledged us at all. I see from the review below that you need a ticket or something? How about the staff just speaking to us like people and let us know how the work in there.In any case we left there and went to another meat store on the other side of town. The owner of this store reopened his store as we just caught him at closing. He was nice, helpful, and appreciated our business.

Groffs meats has the best and very fresh meats. I only buy all my meats through them. They are very clean and everything is very very fresh and the people are very nice and helpful.

They have a great variety of meats they have the best sweet Bologna and they have everything from smoked Cajun sausage to the most wonderful steaks to doggie bones. And that nice deli area with salads and puddings in all kinds of yummies.

A friend raised five pigs as a hobby, and sold them as halfs or whole to friends and family. Took orders and commissioned Groffs to do butcher the pigs. Groffs was terrible. Made a mess of the order. No attention to what customers requested. Said he would vacuum seal the meat, did not.I recieved a frozen fifteen pond pork belly uncut. When I stopped by to ask why they didnt cut it, I was told it dulled their blades and they wouldnt do it. I offered to pay the cost of the sharpening, I was berated.3/4 of my order was processed wrong. Their attitude and professionalism leaves much to be desired.

I went in and there was a wait for the deli line at least 15 people which was ok I figured with 2 kids and long wait time Id be better off getting the bacon later which was no biggie at all, I grabbed out of the refrigerated case were hot dogs two men were in front of me checking out. The cashier then left so I waited, an older lady had a turkey and the women cashed her out looked right at me with my hot dogs sitting on counter turned and called the next number. Guy behind me says you need a ticket just like everyone else. They sell soda, buns, ect so if you go in to get buns your expected to wait for all other people waiting on meats?? Very rude business practice and you should remember that bad news travels 10 times faster then good news. You should have had courtesy to tell me I needed number or just cashed me out which would have been less then one minute. Let me remind you have lost a customer and maybe more if you have people read this. Maybe train your staff that all customers matter no matter what. I will go to another butcher shop even though its out of my way its all about principal
