I really feel like the dentists and hygienists care about the patients. Excellent “white glove” customer care. The dentist actually called me personally-very impressed! Highly recommend if you want a dentist office that cares about you and goes above and beyond to make sure you are getting the proper treatment.

Katie was awesome! She did a fantastic job! I feel she went the extra mile to make sure my teeth were top notch! She did not rush and made sure I was comfortable. Would recommend!

I am so impressed with my experience with Dental Works of Elgin. Everything from the girls in the office area to my dental assistant and then to the dentist were all amazing ! Dental works was able to schedule my appointment quickly! It was easy ! The work done on the tooth I was worried about is perfect ! It looks beautiful , feels smooth and comfortable and I can be in peace knowing that I don’t need a root canal . I have already recommended this facility to everyone. I am sad that I am moving out of the area because I love this place ! Thank you to all of you ! 💕😁

Dental works office staff are incredible helpful, I give 5 stars for them, but the Dentist does a very poor job. My husband been there 4 times to fix the same problem with his new crown. I am very disappointed at her because it was not cheap and to my husband had to go back there 4 times because the crown wasn’t properly glued to his tooth not once, but 4 times. It is more than we can handle. If you want a great hygienist there is a place to go, but if you want a good dentist better off look for another place. I’m very disappointed.

Everyone one in the office is very knowledgeable and nice. I have been going to Dr. Davis for years and I am very happy with her and her staff.

We visited the Elgin Dentalworks because our dentist was unavailable. We were treated wonderful and given attention. It felt like we have been going there for a long time. Thanks for the great care!

Every time I go to this office the hygienist acts like she knows more than the dentist. She is always pushing for me to buy sonic toothbrushes or a waterpik for a 10 or 11 year old, as if she gets commissioned bonuses from Philips. Today was the last straw she forced my husband to by a prescription toothpaste for my daughter with braces not considering the fact I had mentioned to her there are other things surrounding the stains under her braces and that they haven’t replaced their office orthodontist yet and the last two appointments my daughter had with their office they canceled because they cannot staff the orthodontia patients correctly since they have a borrowed temp doctor. If I haven’t paid for the braces in full I would be done with them. I would rather pay a small town dentist more out of pocket than to deal with this hassle. My daughter still by the way has a broken bracket that will not be fixed for another week but that’s ok for the hygienist.

Very rude and misinformed employees. Called once and they got my information to give a call back because they were busy at the time. 2 weeks later try again finely got hold of somebody explain Im looking to make an appointment for my daughter for braces they get all my info for 5 minutes after saying they cant accept new patients. Waste time as they website said open for new patients.

Very thorough examination, explained everything that was going to be done. Staff was friendly and courteous. An obvious difference from my previous dentist, which is the reason why I switched to DentalWorks.

My second visit with Dorothy was even better than the first I feel she genuinely cares about providing the best service possible and my teeth are a testament to her excellent service. It was nice to meet Fadala and Dr. Davis as well although it could have been under better circumstances. They made me feel more comfortable about an uncomfortable situation.

Always a great experience! Katie the Hygienist is wonderful and always goes above and beyond. Dr. Davis is always pleasant and truly listens to your concerns and is always ready to work with you. Dr Davis made me a bridge, as I needed teeth pulled and it has been fabulous. So, so, glad I found Dr Davis and her team.

Dr.Davis and her dental assistant Filda were so sweet and super funny, I highly recommend them. I thought it was just a come in for a visit and leave , but this was not the case. I felt like they actually cared and made me feel so welcomed and answered all my questions! Especially the dental hygienist Dorothy as well, she was just a miracle worker, she made my cleaning so much fun and taught me how to better take care of my smile. Thank you ladies!

Although the staff were very nice, they were also very pushy. I went in for a routine cleaning which was fully covered by my insurance and they told me I didn’t qualify and that I had to have a special cleaning that cost $160!!! I agreed only because they wouldn’t do any cleaning for me unless I did agree to pay and have that deeper cleaning. I am very dissatisfied in the amount of time it took for them to enter my medical history (and they wanted a COMPLETE medical history including medications) and then to take x-rays. I went at 10:30am for an appt and left at 1pm. So I spent two and a half hours going for my bi-annual visit. This was my first and will most likely be my last visit. VERY DISSATISFIED with their service. Once again, nice people, bad business ethics!!!

Very friendly staff in every position, and gave a great tips for brushing & flossing with kids! I also visited for a teeth cleaning myself and was impressed with hygienist Dorothy’s knowledge and friendly education she provided me about maintaining my teeth and small improvements to be healthier.

Dr. Davis and the entire staff are awesome. I have been looking for a dentist for myself and my wife and son for about a year and this is the place! It is clean, it is new, the people are friendly and upfront with the prices so what more could you want? Yes they charge for PPE but everybody does so get over it! They got me in the day after I called. Thank you guys at Dentalworks Elgin!

I have been going to Dental Works for years. Dr Davis is the best. I love her staff, they are all friendly. I espc love Katy she is super sweet and very accommodating to my needs. When they moved to Elgin I wasn’t sure if I am going to see them. Husband has told me to go to Crystal Lake Dental Works. I think I can drive 30 min away because it’s all worth it. They are the best!

Dorothy is the best dental hygienist ever!She made my deep cleaning feel like a spa treatment! She has so much experience and is gentle. Dorothy is very patient and knowledgeable with your questions and requests.Dr. Ahmed is very knowledgeable and I was very pleased that he didnt think I needed a scaling (surgical procedure), I had the option of a deep cleaning. This was great news since my previous dentist said she could not clean my teeth otherwise.

I am done with this place. Every time I have been there it is one thing after another they try up-selling. Today was the last straw. They refused to do a simply cleaning! “Your gingivitis is too far gone” 😤Ridiculous! My wife and kids refuse to go to this place, it’s a scam!

I hate going to the dentist. Going to DentalWorks was not your typical trip to the dentist. The staff was kind and did their best to put me at ease. They were also clear about pricing, which is always so elusive in the medical / dental field. I would recommend DentalWorks to anyone.

Dr. Loretta Davis was so nasty and rude, I would never recommend anyone to see her. She didnt want to listen to anything I had to say and just got short and nasty when I tried to talk to her. I have never been treated so bad by a dentist. When I left there, I was in tears. Also my insurance called the office to make sure that they still accepted my insurance, they told him they did. When I got there the staff took my insurance information and said they took my plan. But the dentist told me that they no longer take my insurance and that she didnt think she would be able to see me again, even though there isnt enough money you could pay me to go back there. I have an HMO insurance and it was obvious that she did not want to see me because of the insurance I had. I will say the staff was very nice.

I will not be returning because the staff was rude and pushy. The first person to smile at me was the doctor. Which made me stay longer, hoping the service would recuperate. The dental assistant yelled everything to me. At one point I leaned closer to her wishing she would lower her voice. My energy was low when I left this place. Yes, the toxic environment drained my energy levels. I did however enjoy the tidiness and lovely Chicago art on the walls. Great job on the personable appearance. Hopefully this feedback provides improvement.

OMG, the place was great. This was my first visit for my daughter and the staff was so full of life and humor, we were making jokes, I left like I was socially having fun with friends I’ve known for years all while they were still working and serving incoming patients.The Dr himself was also amazing with his treatment and my daughter was so impressed this time based on previous bad experience with prior orthodontist.Great atmosphere, Great staff, Great Dr.....P.S... if you visit don’t forgot to visit the restroom that’s filled with cute funny sayings that’s worth the chuckle

New to the area, I searched online for a dentist, one with experience and good patient reviews for a caring and gentle dentist. Dr Loretta Davis’ name popped up. I made an appointment and found Dr Davis to be an excellent match. The dental hygienist was thorough and took time to explain the procedures, encouraged and answered any and all questions, and was very gentle. The initial cleaning procedure was pain free. Dr Davis followed up with a review and was very kind. The office staff followed up my appointment with a phone call and text message to make certain all was well and encouraged a call back if I had any concerns or questions. Great service!

As much as I am terrified of going to the dentist, I have to say that my recent emergency visit at the DentalWorks in Elgin was a very good experience. The staff was welcoming and the dentist was very good in first listening to me as I described the pain I was experiencing. He took extra precaution and had me take an extra x-ray outside of the usual to get a real clear picture of what was causing my pain. He took the time not only to explain what was the cause but also that I understood exactly what my options were. For me, that really made the whole experience a comfortable one.

I went in for my first visit for a regular cleaning and checkup. I was told I had severe bone loss as well as periodontal disease. I have been going to the dentist twice a year for my entire life and had not ever been told either of these things. I was told I needed a mouthguard and an expensive toothbrush, which they tried to sell me from the office. They were very severe in their warnings about my dental health and told me I needed thousands of dollars of care that is not covered by my insurance. They also refused to do a regular cleaning at the time of my visit because they said my teeth were in such bad shape. I am guessing they charged my insurance company for a cleaning. I got a second opinion and was told there are no signs of periodontal disease or bone loss. The second opinion told me that my teeth were in great shape and they saw no reason have any concerns. It seems to me that dental works was only trying to make a profit from me. I feel this was malpractice.

Dr. Davis has been my dentist for many years. She is very good, caring, and professional. Katie, my hygienist is thorough and fast. Vern, at desk friendly always knows me. The ladies who get it all started have been there many years have every thing set up promptly. Take good care off my teeth.

A very horrible place with no good customer service, rude people. They are all about money...they dont care about you and wont explain things to you before coming up with outrageous bills. They are 10x more expensive than any other place...DentalWorks was going to charge me $1200 for cleaning and polishing but i got same at Suburban Dental Medicine in elgin for $280 with extra service of Filing for free.

My husband recommended this place when I cracked a tooth. Its to the point where a chunk of my tooth is wiggling out, and sharp against my tongue.Upon entering, they told me they could not help me, because the only doctor was leaving for the day at noon. No recommendations, nothing, no help.

Had an appointment for a 6 month cleaning and check up. 2 minutes after my appointment time I was escorted back for some x-rays and Katie came in to start the cleaning process....enjoyed some conversation with Katie and Dr. Davis. Waiting for an estimate for some work to be done in the future. Would definitely refer family and friends to DentalWorks.

Have been with Dr Davis and staff for years. I wasnt sure about the move from Sears at Spring Hill mall to the new Elgin location. The extra distance is definitely worth it, beautiful new office! The staff is always courteous and very accommodating. Katie is the best hygienist ever!!! Highly recommended all around..

So bad it was ridiculous. I went in as a new patient for a simple cleaning. Ive been going to dentists every six months for the past 5 years and never needed anything other than a cleaning and an occasional filling. After an hour and a half at this place I was told before they could give me a cleaning, I needed $1,000 worth of work (rooting, planning, laser periodontal cleaning and what all) and then would need to follow up every four months at $185 per visit! And all this WITH insurance. I had just been to the dentist a year before and there is no possible way I suddenly needed thousands of dollars worth of work on my teeth that no other dentist caught. Total scam. Left without the cleaning and tossed the paperwork in the trash on the way home.

Everyone was very pleasant and we really enjoyed our visit. Unfortunately, our dental cleaning is not covered by our insurance, so we werent able to proceed. It would be nice to offer laser and traditional cleanings.

Great first visit. Staff was friendly. Procedures and breakdown of what my problems areas were thorough. Resolution and pricing was good to know ahead of anything being done. Looking forward to my next visit.

I wouldnt tell my worst enemy to go here! Went in for a first time cleaning and was told I need four molars scaled before I can receive a cleaning! I have never been told that or have been denied a cleaning! WHAT A SCAM! $533 OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES BEFORE THEY WOULD THINK OF CLEANING MY TEETH!! I COULDNT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING!! They do 18 teeth x-rays and when I asked why they take an excessive amount of xrays, I was told thats what insurance pays for! THEY LADY BLATANTLY TOLD ME THEY SCAM INSURANCE!! When I walked out after telling them to stop what they were doing and wanted a second opinion I recieved nothing but scowls from the staff. STOP SUPPORTING SHADY BUSINESSES!!

Easy appointment times, not much wait time. Friendly dental assistants and the dentist wasnt happy with the way my appliance was made, so she sent it back at no charge to be sure it would be made correctly. Highly recommend.

Im sure its not all dentists that work there but I had the worst experience there my second time around made me uncomfortable and was mad at me when she couldnt get it done right when she was done just gets up and walks out and I wast a difficult person I had my front tooth fixed so you would think she would show me how it looked when done I am so unhappy about my experience I had to write a review proly only my second review in my life I just wouldnt want someone to go threw the same thing teeth are important

It’s worth it to us to drive a few extra miles to DentalWorks Elgin because of Katie, their Hygienist, who is the best we’ve ever experienced.

My family all just switched to this office about a year ago and I have visited the office 3 times for my regular 6-month cleanings (Dec ’17, June ’18, Dec ’18). We switched because they opened up this office near my house. Prior to switching to this office, I had been going to my other dentist (Was a Sears Dental and then became a Dental Works) for 15-20 years. In the time with my other dentist I regularly received praise on how clean my teeth are. Additionally, I’ve never had to pay a dime for any services when it comes to 6-month cleanings, I don’t even have a co-pay on my insurance. Well that all changed with this office. In the last three visits my family has been ‘up-sold’ the following:‘Sealant’ on my daughter’s teeth, laser treatment on my teeth, suggested fluoride on my teeth (2 times), suggested mouth cancer screening on me, suggested fluoride on my wife’s teeth (3 times), suggested laser treatment on my wife’s teeth, ‘sealant’ on my other daughter’s teeth, and I’m sure I’m missing something. When my wife declined the fluoride and laser treatment she was met with the following threat, “Well, we will have to do one of these treatments next time because if not, we’ll (the dentist) be negligent in cleaning your teeth and we can’t do that”. For the record, my wife’s teeth are also in fantastic condition – that is, until she started coming to this office, apparently.Finally, come the charges. I’ve been charged co-pays when I have no co-pay on my insurance. When I called about it they said they did verify with my insurance that we have a co-pay and when I asked “who” verified it, they could not tell me. I then called my insurance and they confirmed that I do not have a co-pay and they were also able to confirm that this Dental Works office NEVER called them to verify anything. I called the Dental Works back and they sheepishly removed the co-pay charge and credited us back. At my last visit, I noticed two $14.00 charges described as “Insurance Adjustment Increase”. When I asked about those charges I was told that they under charged us for the cleaning and those were the additional charges. BUT, those charges were never sent to the insurance company! They just expected me to pay it.I will not be going back to this office. It is my opinion that they are either practicing deceptive business techniques or they simply don’t know what they are doing and all these issues are just a bunch of mistakes. I lean toward the former. I feel like they know exactly what they are doing and it’s a shame that they have moved into the neighborhood. Be careful if you decide to give them your business.

I have experience with Dorothy, the Hygienist, and Dr. Ahmed, the dentist. Both were very professional and very thorough. They communicated in detail throughout the procedures and their work was superb.

Beware of this place. They lie about prices and the services you need. They are what most people call. Build a patient. My friend also went there and they cracked one of her tooth. Then blamed her. She had her x-rays from another dentist office that she went to 3 weeks prior with no broken tooth. I would not recommend this place to No One not even my enemy. Dr. Davis is very condescending and unprofessional. She gets very upset when you call her out on the bad customer service and work that they do there. This place needs to be closed down and severely investigated

You know how everyone seems to cringe when they have to go to the dentist.well, I went to dental works in South elgin.I needed a crown, my tooth had chipped.everyone there were so nice and personable!! They made you feel so comfortable.totally organized and professional.I enjoyed going to the dentist!!!

Very bad experience. Their staff is not knowledgeable on anything I set up an appointment a month before and I was told that they accepted my plan and the day of the procedure came and it wasn’t accepted than.What a waste of time to wait. I would recommend recording and documenting everything because they will change everything on you.

So incredibly attentive and friendly, informative and in layman’s terms so I wasn’t sitting there questioning. Friendly atmosphere also.

The people are nice and it’s a clean place but they are always behind. When I pulled up there were no cars in the parking lot. Not one customer in the office and the was not sat in the chair until 15 minutes past my appointment time.I’m at my daughters appointment and same thing. 15-18 minutes waiting time after we get there we’ll befire our appointment time to be on time ourselves.

Went in and seen the doctor told me things I need done and sent me to someone else to talk about everything and prices and all the kept doing was trying to do was push me to get a care credit card to pay for everything nothing else... wasnt very helpful for anything else...** update, so after getting everything figured out the guy thats the finance manager kept telling me my insurance didnt cover a scaling and rooting and I talked to my insurance and they did. They were trying to make me pay full price then charge my insurance. As for the prices they are insane. $3,600 out of pocket with insurance. So I go to Aspen dental for a 2nd opinion and they are $1600 cheaper and my insurance covered most of it. Dont trust this place.

I went to Dental Works for a wisdom teeth consult. They asked me if I would consider doing it that day. I had never been here before, nor was I NPO (not eating or drinking) prior which is the safest way to prepare for any surgery. I felt like a business transaction to these individuals rather than a patient.The receptionist asked me if I had a referral, and I told her that I did, but it was not for their practice, it was for a private practice elsewhere, when she said back to me “yeah.. they never are for us.” Red flags. As a student in health care, the only thing I can thank Dental Works for is setting an example of how to NOT treat my patients.

Called to get an appointment for a cracked tooth. Needless to say, I was a little uneasy about what would be involved and how it would turn out. I had zero pain the entire time. For someone who will put going to the dentist off, it really felt effortless and stress free. They were calm, friendly, and I felt like each of them gave me their full attention.No matter what kind of business I may call or go to, the level of customer service a business provides tells me who they are and what matters to them. DentalWorks Elgin has geniunely showed me that I am what matters to them.

My husband and I must have called 20 dentists this morning for my horrible toothache. Everyone of them said 2 weeks and hung up....everyone but this place. The gentleman that answered the phones was understanding, sympathetic, and quick to get me a same day appointment. They provided me with help for the day until my surgery tomorrow. I hope this next step goes just as well. Maybe I wont be so afraid to go to the dentist going forward. Thank you to the gentleman who answered the phone....keep being awesome!

Worst experience EVER! Don’t go to this place. They are unprofessional and the front desk girl She doesn’t know anything She will tell you your insurance covers something and later you will find out it doesn’t !I had to call in few times to double check with appointments and procedures and she was so rude and not helpful at all.

Always an easy process for my annual cleanings, xrays, etc... but i was surprised as to the level of comfort my 3 year old daughter had on her very fist dental visit. They were very patient and accomodating with her as they know this could be a nervous or scary process for kids.She was excited and motivated at the end of her visit,... she actually said she wants to go again on the way home in the car. 😎I definitely recommend if you want to take your lil one to get in the habit of a healthy smile.

The worst experience Ive ever had with any company. I was given an initial quote of $400 for some work I needed done. When I went to pay, it went up to $500. I asked them to call the insurance company to verify. The guy up front assured me that not only did he call, but there $500 was the correct amount. I paid, got the work done and recieved a bill for an additional $400+. When I calledto find out why, they told me to call my insurance company. I did that and found out the guy never called the insurance company.Next instance, my wife couldnt make her appointment so I called to get my daughter, who had an appointment the next day, to fill her spot. They told me it didnt matter and we would still be assessed the cancellation fee.Next instance, my daughter came by herself last year for her cleaning and also comes regularly to her orthodontist appointments but herself. Well, today I was told I needed to be here with her for her cleaning. Strike 3 youre out.

Bad place I wouldn’t recommend it. The girl answering the phone was mean and had an attitude with me over the phone cause I was asking a lot of questions. Also when I showed up one day there was no cars and doors were closed and online it shows open it would be nice to let customers know you are closed for the day or update your online to show closed.

They are scammers!! They will charge you for services that were not provided. This is absolutely the WORSE DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER. HOPE YOU GUYS GET SHUT DOWN. I will report you to the BBB.

Absolutely horrible dental practice! All they care about is adding on services to pad the bill. Services that my insurance pays 100% for are suddenly over $300. Lesson learned. Oh...and HEAVEN FORBID you need to have tooth extracted. You can be forced to wait 2 or more weeks...cause ya know....only certain dentists in that office are capable of extracting a tooth. I even told my de talk insurance about the shenanigans and they were not please either.

Very welcoming office and staff. Had a great experience and would highly recommend!
