Beautiful facility and Amy is a great manager!

Just signed up for 3 months. Nice gym but will stick to mornings as evening is packed. There was about 30-40 members and not one person was masked. Everyone had 2 shots, yeah right. Some burros present as well, wearing tank tops just dripping on machines without any care of wiping them down. Glad I didnt prepay for a year.

Security people act like bad people. Pretty expensive

The Center of Elgin is a good family place and the staff are so nice..

Love this place and they offer classes for almost anything I recently had my kids enrolled in the swim classes and they loved them, sometimes too much lol :)

I visited this location (1st time) because they were offering a pop up 1day only Covid-19 vaccination site. This site is part of the Elgin park district. They did a great job transitioning it from basketball court to a place to receive your vaccine. I had been dealing with the states website at least 8 weeks with no action/results. I already have my 2nd scheduled. What a relief. Thank you Prism.

The covid shot event was so organized and the people were very friendly.

We have been here for pottery classes and the homeschool gym & swim program. Highly satisfied with both and with the facility and staff overall. The building and restrooms are very well maintained. My kids love to use the elevators in the parking garage and the lobby. All staff we’ve interacted with have been friendly and helpful. And the programs are great! Keep up the good work!

We had my sons birthday party at the pool during the ice storm the lifeguards were amazing. We had the best time. Even setting the event up was super easy, will definitely be doing his party there again. Thanks for making my sons party the best ever!

I like coming here for the free walking/running track! Sometimes it gets crowded depending on the time.

The gym was a nice place to workout and I enjoyed coming here for years but the membership cancellation process has been a nightmare. I havent been to this gym since November 19 and I cancelled it before I moved but here we are on July 20 and Im still being charged.

I LOVE the Centre! The Fitness Center is clean and spacious. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I appreciate the variety of programs they offer young children, too, including the childcare services. The new pool renovations are great, too! This is hands-down the BEST gym!

Great facility with newer, clean weight machines, as well as a nice indoor walking track, swimming pool, and a rock climbing wall. All of the staff in the fitness center are kind, patient, and friendly. They are accommodating and flexible, I would recommend this gym.

It has everything you could really want out of a fitness centre. The rock climbing wall is a personal favorite of mine. The staff there is really chill and laid back and want to help you improve your climbing. The pool is also nice. Its fairly clean (for a public pool) and they also offer swimming classes for those who need it. Their memberships are affordable. I personally paid only $130.00 for a 1 year platinum membership. That is all inclusive. They have short term child care, a work out gym, an indoor track, four basketball courts and they offer many fitness classes as well as a random ceramics class. It is a great facility. Two thumbs up.

I have been a teacher and the preschool coordinator for over 5 years in this program and I can tell you its a great place to work but, more importantly, it is a great place for kids. Before I was a teacher here, I was a parent. My son loved all of the classroom activities and I loved the great foundation he was given. I really liked that his teachers let him learn through play. He would always come home excited to tell me about his day-the games, stories and, of course, snack time. I loved that his teachers took time for him and made him feel special. As a parent, I felt fortunate to have this be his preschool experience!

Great facility - plenty of basketball courts (ask about childrens league, if children - good times)! Huge workout space and small track; swimming poo, racketball courts & classes. Plenty of parking. Safe area, police dept across the street. If youre hungry or just hanging, pub & pizza also across the street. Enjoy!!!

Had my kids registered there for Sports camp for summer of 2019. Had to pull them out because the staff doesn’t check to see who is picking them up, they just let people come in and walk out with the kids. They don’t check id’s or have you sign them out even tho when registering it said they would. I brought this to attention of the camp director several times and nothing changed. Hope this helps.

My granddaughter plays basketball there, but they also offer a lot of other things to do there.

Love it. I use the therapy pool. My granddaughter enjoys Adventure Island. Prices for single use are inexpensive. Entire facility is very clean.

Ive been coming to this place since 2011 and I love it! It is super convenient for a parent to work out while kids are at a preschool at the same building! They also offer a babysitting, tons of classes for the whole family, climbing wall, indoor pool/waterpark, free track .....My kids love this place and so do I.

I had a god time here the Centre of Elgin. The instructor was friendly and knowledgeable. I like to be fit here. Lots of equipment to use and affordable. Thanks. Ill surely be back here again.

Im not a Centre member but I like the fact that their indoor track is open to the public and its free. Im normally outside running in all kinds of weather but during the winter I sometimes prefer an indoor run on the Centre track. Nice facility!

Excellent work out classes offered at many times throughout the day to accommodate everyones schedule. Ron Anderson is a great fitness director. He listens to his students/customers.

I go here for physical therapy at the sight of Sherman Hospital. It is so very convenient and I have worked with the same therapist for almost 10 years, she is absolutely the best. It is a wonderful environment.

The centre is one of those places that pretty much has all the programs for kids and grown ups. I like Specially the swimming classes

Diversified rec center that always has something for everyone! Whether it be working out, taking a swim lesson, play racketball or even taking a walk on the indoor track, the Centre has activities for all ages! Have been going here as a patron since I was a kid and now i work as a lifeguard. great service, great people, great times.

Been going here since i was little and the facility is pretty good, its difficult to rent a court of any sort because whenever i call the main desks it says that all represetatives are busy. I TRY AN D CALL ALL THE TIME ! IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIST YOUR MAIN DESK NUMBER PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY ACTUALLY ANSWER THE CALLS!! I just want to play volleyball with my friends and rent a court but its near impossible

Its a decent facility, but the weight room is too small. The pool is okay but you have to work around the kids, if you swim laps. The worst part is Its not easy to get to.

The preschool is awesome! Pools are clean and reasonably priced. Swim lessons are also reasonably priced but be sure to pay for semi private (4-1 ratio) instead of the regular class (8-1 ratio). The indoor walking track is free to residents and is located above the basketball court.

We only go mainly for inside swimming when outside pools closed. Great price for great exercise for the kids 👍😎

Good luck cancelling the membership. When membership was being renewed they upped the monthly payment without any notification and charged us for the whole year at once instead of monthly billing like it was set up. Woke up to over $700 being charged to my account. It took couple days to resolve that after which I decided to cancel membership because it was not used much and was not worth the increased rate. Month later I woke up to another $85 charged from Elgin rec center even though I cancelled the membership and placed a stop payment from merchant in my bank. They got smart and used a different name to get my money. Now I am filing a dispute with a bank and will have to close my account since that might he the only way to get them to stop charging me for my cancelled membership.

I go only for the track. The whole facility is taken care of hourly so its never dirty. Friendly people everywhere. Everyone has a good time and walks out accomplished.

By far the best gym near Elgin. I very rarely have to wait for cardio equipment. They provide lockers with keys so you don’t have to bring a lock. The pool is nice but always busy. The rock climbing wall is what you would expect for a smaller gym. The pricing is fair but the pricing structure is weird. The weight lifting area is small and there is almost always a long wait for equipment. I have tried going in the morning, the afternoon, and at night and there is almost always a wait no matter what time. This is why I gave three starts.

I joined to use the adult therapy pool but they were always teaching private kids lessons so splashing my glasses and all the screaming made me drop my membership. When I was a kid I learn to swim in a regular temp. pool not a special heated one for adults with some aches and pains.

This is one of the best places in Elgin to visit especially with your family.

I really like getting my physical therapy here however they need to do something about updating it since we have so many artists in the community. And they need to lower the prices so that more people can become members without having to go to the physical therapist other than that the staff is great the lifeguards are on point and Sherman Rehabilitation is fantastic

Awesome location in downtown Elgin if you want to go for a run or walk indoors - they have a track that can be used without being member. They also have basketball courts, a couple looks, and workout center that can be accessed if you are a member. There is also a great banquet hall in this building to host parties. This entire builsing is usually bustling with diversity and activity througj the week. It really brightens my mood to stop by here.

The center of Elgin is a good walk in through water park but theres not as much things to do but theres is good place has diving board has everything its a good indoor park its not dirty but when I was swimming as the years go on and on and on I got a little bit dirty but yeah you know the lifeguards are good no ones needed it over to her and thats good

My daughter likes to go there with her classmates for swimming and basketball. Nice safe place for them to get together and not have to worry about any violence.
