The staff was nice. Place was clean. Thought it was Food Stamp Night, but realized that trash brings 2 adults and a bunch of rowdy, awful kids running everywhere! Do kids eat FREE? Its a madhouse. I worked in less rowdy prisons and psych hospitals. $86 ? Never again!!!!

We arrived about 11:15 am. . Cashier took too long to give me my change like she was waiting for me to walk to table so she could pocket my money. Overpriced for sad looking food. Food should be fresh not left overs from the previous week. Pot roast was dry and over cooked broccoli was cold. Ribs were dry over cooked. Baked chicken dry over cooked. The only good thing about the dining experience in addition to leaving. Was the server. Very nice taking plates and giving beverages. Fish was very good. Not too salty or dry.

Family outing. Of course lots of choices. Everything is ready. Fried chicken is delicious. Pot roast meat is very tender. Chocolate covered strawberries were a hit at our table.

I dont know what is going on but things are definitely not the same and have gotten, Im not exaggerating when I say, very low in quality. There were few items that I would get there because they were my favorite but now the only thing I found good enough for me to eat to the last bit was the bread pudding. I wanted to try my chances at the other desserts but my partner has been sitting there afraid to keep trying their chance at different foods with the result of repulsion. The pizza sauce tasted like strawberries and was cold. The Mac and cheese was starchy and tasted cheap. The nachos ground beef tasted like it needs the name mystery meat because it tasted bad but couldnt pinpoint why that was. The bourbon street chicken was the only thing that he found tolerable. With no appetite and feeling all around insulted by the price of the experience, we couldnt stay any longer. I would definitely not recommend unless someone gets a handle on things because I am saddened that I recall times when the experience was worth the money and the wait. It was a great place to gather with family and now I cant even fathom going myself. Im no longer going to any golden corral until further notice.

I like the one on Gary rd in Bloomingdale, just drive there instead its worth the drive and the gas money!! P.s. the ice cream machine doesnt work.

Im not one to complain but I asked for a refund for the first time in my life. The food was cold and hadnt been stirred in quite a while and it was all over the counters even though there were only 4 tables with customers, the soup was empty and caked over with bacteria, half the buffet wasnt even set up, the desserts were hard and dry, and when I tried speaking with management he wanted to defend himself and walked away to go check the tempuratures of the food. This is the most disgusting golden corral Ive been to. The only saving grace was the kind waiter we had who felt bad that they ran out of tea with such a low customer count. Shame.

Excellent place , good assortment of food ., great servers . Love the pot roast , the fish is fresh and not salty . Coffee is the best in this whole area . Hot and flavorful . I go there 3 times a week better than cooking at home and no dishes to wash , or pots and pans to clean . Kids love the food and the sweets are well made . Wish they were opened more days a week .

Food was ok but the service was horrible. The people serving food was fine and the cashier was really nice, but we had no silverware (not sure if people steal the silverware or they have other issues, but you can no longer grab them yourself) and I had to walk half way across the restaurant to grab them. No one asked to refill our drinks, and napkins and silverware I had to fend for myself and kids. For the amount I paid, we could have gone to a real restaurant (43 bucks for 3 of us, and I had water). Guarantee I wont be back ever again at this location. Sorry the pictures arent great, too many people around to take pictures inside.

Friendly staff, good food and management. This store is not like the stores that they have opened up in Arlington Heights and Bloomingdale where they have hard seats and a hospital cafeteria style atmosphere this is why I love this place, it is homie and we bring our own tablecloth to set the mood. So heres to all the wonderful people we have met there that make our experience worthwhile.

Good and frendly service clasic buffet

Not the best in terms of quality but consistent and budget friendly. Due to the current conditions they now serve the food to you which I prefer. No more about nosed kids handling the spoons etc to fish themselves or them grabbing the food with their bare hands. Always a decent variety of choices. The prime rib was in the dry side but thats also to be expected. I have my expectations and it was up to par for a place like this. Friendly and attentive staff.

I have been going to Golden Corral for many years and have been to several locations. I have to share that my most recent experience at the Elgin location by far has been one of the best! To be welcomed and treated like a VIP from the moment I walked through the door with the team at the buffet to the Manager Rene.You can tell that he values instilling a culture to treat everyone as a guest and not a customer. I will definitely be back and look forward to my return visit. I hope the corporate Offices realize what an asset they have.

I often take my friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I visit this place often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is delicious and the stuff is generous and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we have a delightful evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

Great selection to choose from. The food was good but a little too salty for my taste. The service was good and the restaurant was clean.

The food wasnt very good it was near the end of the evening 7pm I should have view the food first. Steak was the best option nothing else was appetizing the taco shells were all broken and taste less the meat looked dried out. The tempura fish just feel apart when I tried to put it on my plate the baked potato was hard...nothing looked desirable...not worth the $50 I paid, I could have had a much better dinner for the 3 of us...for me and my family we wont invest in a meal there again, totally disappointed.

I’m indifferent but my dad loves this place more than probably any other restaurant. I love that they label if there are certain ingredients like pork in the food. Makes the buffet experience a lot less stressful. Removing a star because they need to properly clean their silverware and have it readily available. If you can’t manage that, just get plastic lol

Its Golden Corral, so you cant expect the food to be top notch. Its fine for the price. The server/ attendant Faddima seemed short handed. She kept putting dirty plates etc., on a table up at the front, presumably to take to the back all at once later. However, this served to make the restaurant look dirty and unappealing. The remainder of the restaurant was clean, neat and tidy. It was not busy. The carving station worker was really nice and very competent.

For those who enjoy traditional American food like fried chicken or other yummy comfort food, I highly recommend Golden Corral, this buffet has something for the whole family! I grew up eating at Old Country Buffet, if any of you remember that chain of restaurants, this place is just like that. I mean for $10-$12, you can go to town so come hungry as its a lot of food for the money! They offer some healthy food options as well!

Very friendly and good staff, lots of meat and fish. There were not as many desserts as at other locations. The place was very big, had a funny smell on one side of the building like a backed up toilet or a soiled carpet. My first glass of fountain drink tasted like it was poisoned, very bitter and burning.. replacement was fine though. My 3 year old loved the chocolate fountain.

The food here was really good and it was fresh , I didnt notice anything that has been sitting around for an extended. Of time ,Our server Abby was very kind considerate and thoughtful , always stopping by to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything else and we did not even have to ask her for refills of are drinks , when she noticed they were low she automatically brought us some more .also I had mentioned to her that it was very very warm in here she said she would go and talk to the manager and the next thing I knew I felt the cool air conditioning.Thank you baby for being a tentative ,And thank U Golden corral for the fresh food.

The food and service were beyond my expectations. We surely liked the ambience of this restaurant. First-rate place to take my family out for lunch.

Staff is very attentive. Food is usually fresh...It really depends on what time you go though. Good value for what you get here. Bathrooms are clean, which is always a big plus! If the bathroom is dirty, I wont be back!

Great price. It had been years since I visited because I found it less than clean and I shouldnt be eating that much anyway :) I was pleasantly surprised to see it was clean and staff was friendly. Although I had to rifle through a couple of plates that were not completely clean it was a minor inconvenience. The variety and quality of food was good.

People very nice. Beware the remodeling they did, low clearance for anyone 6 foot tall. Short sighted construction (ha ha).

I like having multiple choices to pick from. This visit was a good visit. Everything looked clean and everything was stocked. But some visits have not been this good. On other visits the dunning area looked dirty and the buffet was very messy and some food options were not stocked(had to keep asking them to replenish things). Todays visit was a good one though. It wasnt as busy so id say that probably had something to do with it. The food tasted good and was fresh. So try to go on slower days or times you will enjoy it more.

Place was clean and well maintained. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I wish the waitress was more attentive. There were only 6 tables she was waiting and she couldnt even come over and refill our drinks. Other than that, it was a very nice visit.

The food has great taste, servings are alright., but the people serving should have a more cheerful attitude....customer service should be one of their priorities. My family and I felt we we were like a burden when asking for a slice of meat, the lady has some kind of attitude responding in a rude way. And even if we asked for well done she would give us medium-rare. A smile and better response wouldnt hurt anyone.

The food is good here. However, every time I visit its a little more expensive than before hidden by the seperate drink cost. It seems they are trying to create jobs by forcing a host to assist your table with drinks and cleanup. I would like to fill my own drink at a buffet. The dessert section could use a little spicing up. How about some cheesecake, muffins, brownies, banana split ingredients, caramel and strawberry toppings?

Went there in hopes of having a good meal and ended up with great disappointment and dissatisfaction. The entry service was unfriendly. The girl had so much attitude. Like, really? Why? They pay you to be at the least, decent at greeting people. The food is a whole different story. Just WOW! Disgusting, no flavor, nothing. I should have just threw the money I used to pay in the trash. The only good thing was our server.

This was the first time we had ever been to your restaurant and we absolutely LOVED IT. it was delicious food. had never seen that much breakfast food in one room before. so much to choose from. even our now picky daughter was able to find something to eat. we will definitely come back. ready to try lunch or dinner now. thanks again.

Came at 3:00 pm. Roast chicken bone dry. No burgers. Pot roast double stacked and dry like shoe leather. Asked for a chicken breast and cook said that was his only pan of chicken. If you arent going to have lunch till 4 then do away with it. We didnt come for dinner. Hot fudge empty, not one ch chip cookie, no cheesecake. Nothing good at all.

Great place to get unlimited steak. Mashed potatoes or fries with cheese sauce! Desserts counter is bound to have something you want or crave. Recommended

I dont eat here often, but the service was good and they obviously have a variety of items that are well prepared. The buffet concept is great because you can try things and decide what you like.

This place is called Golden Corral. However, there was absolutely no corral present. All I saw were a bunch of humans eating as much as they possibly could for a fixed price. Im only giving this place 4 stars because they did provide as much steak as one could eat for a fixed price. Perhaps the corral is in back, and after the animals are slaughtered, they serve them as steak. If that is the case, then I am very impressed because that means the steak is very fresh. Furthermore, if that is the case, I would ask that the manager contact me forthwith so I can raise my rating to 5 stars.

My boyfriend loves the Golden Coral. It has what I need to make a taco salad or fajitas so Im happy but I go there for him. He loves to try everything. This location was very friendly and clean.

Actually exceeded my expectations, but I dont trust the quality. I stuck with the fried chicken and also some other chicken dish that was a little spicy..I forget the name. Manager really friendly. Mac and Cheese looks good, but didnt like it. Kids loved the chocolate fountain. I ate too much. But, for the price, we could have gone somewhere a bit nicer.

People were letting their 6 or 9 year old children to go up and play in the chocolate sauce and all the items to use in the chocolate sauce. Also touching the whipped cream on top of jello and chocolate pudding too.The pot roast was under cooked and the potatoes in with the pot roast was almost as hard as just taking the potatoes out of the bag.Very Disappointed With This Visit.

I really didnt get a chance to write a review Id only put the stars. But I want to ride it now. Me and my grandkids came in there an hour left before you closed. And the food was still fresh. We still got steak at 5 minutes to closing time. Veronica was our server she was on point. She was always there to take care of the dishes always there to make sure we had enough drinks. My grandkids love Golden Corral anywhere we go. My company time-definite / specialized services are all from Madeline Lane so its easy for me just to drop my trailer and bobtail over to your restaurant. So then again I thank you for your service. Everything was delicious.

The buffet line is poorly stocked, more than half the food items were empty. It would be fine if they didnt take so long to restock. This last visit I had to ask for my money back when I saw the patties cooking on the griddle, each patty was a mix of old brown looking meat with fresh meat..I dont want to get sick. Ive given this place multiple tries but Im done coming to this location.

One time I wanted cotton candy before I left and there wasnt any and a manager saw me looking for it. So she personally made me 3 bags of cotton candy to take home.
