EVOLVE is an excellent program that thoroughly prepared our daughter for her job search and employment. Robin & Sonia understood so well what was needed to build and refine her skills so she would be successful and confident on the job. There were certainly times when she struggled and had to push herself outside her comfort zone, but she agreed those times were necessary in order to make real progress. Our daughter’s internships arranged through EVOLVE helped her to smoothly transition to employment by providing her with a job coach, continual support, and helpful feedback while maintaining contact with her employers. She was then able to search and apply for work in her areas of interest and now has a full-time job as an office assistant that she thoroughly enjoys. We couldn’t be more pleased and grateful to EVOLVE for making that possible. Thank you so much, Robin & Sonia, for your hard work, for caring as much as you do, and for believing in our daughter.

Sonia and Robin have been consultants for my son Jack for over a decade. I have never met two more dedicated, compassionate or knowledgeable professionals in the autism field who consistently put the needs of the impacted individual first above anything else. They are constantly looking outside the box and are two of the most innovative in their field..My son was in crisis when we met Sonia and we were at wits end. She patiently and expertly worked with him to access him and bring him to his full potential. The program is housed in a contemporary work environment filled with collegial energy that reflects the professionalism and confidence the program instills in its attendees. Sonia and Robin have created a unique place where our daughter can grow and feel safe to make mistakes while implementing newly learned individualized behavioral strategies to overcome challenges. Programs for neurodiverse young adults are lacking- not a news flash- but finding a program and staff of this quality, with care and expertise that run so deep, is one in a million.

I, Adam Applebaum have been one of their most recent clients. When I joined I wasnt entirely sure what kind of work I wanted to do as Id been in such a hurry to get my degrees I forgot to specialize. As such I was left with too many paths forward and no certainty about which one was best for me. Though I struggled a lot with confrontation and found some days more challenging than others, in the end I got an Internship at Auticon US. I am still in that internship and about to become a Quality Assurance Analyst 1.I do not think I would have found them much less got the internship or interview were it not for me learning the soft skills I needed for the workplace. If I could give any advice, go in with an open mind of what you want to do because it may turn out that there are opportunities you never thought of waiting for you. Also make sure your goals are realistic. It is fine to want to be something that requires years of experience in the Industry but you have to be willing to do what it takes to get promoted to that and you cannot always get your first choice position, but that doesnt mean there are not good positions for you in things you havent considered. Robin Shipley has worked with our daughter, Gaby, for almost 15 years. Robin has provided Gaby and our family with invaluable tools to help Gaby achieve personal growth, self advocacy and maturity into adulthood. Robin has been a source of knowledge, strength and support to Gaby and our family. Robin has proven again and again that she has the professional knowledge and skillset to help neurodiverse young adults transition into productive members of the community.

These people are frauds. They take money from the Regional Center promising disabled clients quality internships that can turn into careers. One year later, not only have they wasted my son’s time, they have put him through a lot of stress trying to meet they’re ridiculous requirements, that no matter how much he tried, he just wasn’t good enough, or what the would refer to as ‘not being ready’. They also have this ridiculous policy( that of course they don’t tell you about during the initial meeting) that they don’t communicate with parents. They didn’t even have the common courtesy to return my call to explain this. Sonia and Robin explicitly explained that it would take 6 months of training and soon thereafter a 6 month internship. One year later my son feels frustrated and defeated. Please parents of disabled young adults be aware of these swindlers.
