It took 8 weeks to get our clothes washer repaired. The part came in a week. But they had no one available to come out and install it. Yet the technician that finally did come out told us he had been available and in our area every week...and that others were too. They just dont care about customer service or customer inconvenience.

I would stay away from Sears Home Services . They are incompetent. Had me waiting 3 months waiting for parts that are readily available from many many distributors. Save yourself the aggravation look elsewhere.

This business was sent by my home warranty company (AHS). Turned out the fridge compressor they installed last summer was bad. Said it and other parts had to be ordered; could take 3 to 5 days to arrive. The tech said he would be back on June 4 to complete the work. I told him that was not acceptable. My son is diabetic and I need to keep his insin cold. He did nothing. Contacted AHS and explained the problem. They told me they upgraded my service request due to American emergency and if necessary the work would be done on a weekend or holiday. The parts arrived yesterday afternoon (5/26). I called Sears as AHS had instructed me to do; Sears told me they could move me up one day (to 6/3(! I said that was not acceptable due to the medical emergency. Was told that was the best they could do. Called AHS and explained the problem for the THIRD TIME! The rep put me on hold while he contacted Sears. When he got back on the line with me, he said theyc could be here on the 1st. Again, I stated why that was not acceptable! We have been using ice chests to keep what little food we have left and insulin cold. The insulin is in danger of going bad! Sears has not responded to any of my calls today. I will never let them near my home or appliances again!!!

Sears warranty is a great insurance to have on appliances. The only issue is that it takes between 2 wks to a month for parts and service to arrive.

I called for repair on my dishwasher and had to wait until the following week for an appointment. En route to me the service technician picked up additional parts from his shop anticipating the problem. It helped so much that he had the parts on hand and I didnt have to wait another week after diagnosis. Such forward thinking! My dishwasher was up and running that day with no additional issues. Very satisfied.

I had sears come out to see why they cold water was running so slow into my washer. The technician stated that I needed a new valve. He check his tablet and said that a new valve was not available and charged me $99.00 to essential say that he could not fix this washer problem. This is why I dont want to purchase any warranties from Sears. I have a long standing warranty for all of the major appliances in my home through AHWC (American Home Warranty) I should have contacted them in the first place and not wasted my time or money with Sears. AHWC would have found a part and if a new one was not available, they would have gotten me a new part and if they could not fix the washer problem at all, they would have bought a new washer. I am now going to go ahead and contact AHWC. I was hoping that Sears and improved their service, but I am disappointed to see that Sears is still offering the very same abysmal quality of service. I have a service contract with Sears of my DVD recorder. I took this into the repair shop months and months ago and I have not gotten in back, nor have they sent me a check to refund me for the many years that I paid towards the service contract, not have they sent me a check or cover the replacement for a new DVD Recorder.Very dissatisfied. This is why we no longer have a Sears store in Imperial County or in the Yuma area. Sears managed all of their own to put themselves out of business, but continuing to display poor consumer relations with its customers!

Your repairman did an excellent job, as usual (the same person has worked on my appliances about 3-4 times).HOWEVER, the people I contacted to set up the appointment need some remedial training! They got both my name and my address WRONG! Im surprised the repairman could find me. Luckily, before he gave up the search, he called me for verification. Whoever took my phone call should be fired!

Able to schedule service on my non-working refrigerator in 2 days. Service was completed in one appointment & refrigerator is working again!!The technician called when he was headed to my home. The work was completed within 10 minutes (installation of a microwave door)! Great job!!

Repairman man was wonderful. Very informative. I had no idea that one should have regular mantenance on dryers. There was lint throughout the inside that could have caused a fire. There was a lack of communication betweeen dispatch and the repairman. I would give dispatch 3 stars they seem very disconnected and robotic. I was told to expect him between 10 and 2 and that he would call prior to arrival but he arrived at 9 with no phone call. He had no idea those arrangements had been made. It was a good thing someone was there to meet him. Overall, my experience was excellent. I say better early than late!

Took 10 weeks to get the part and then they left without checking if the washer washes then gave us another 2 week out appointment just to find out if we need more parts after which we have no idea when the parts we be delivered and then 2 weeks to another appointment to install. Its our fault we falsely believed the service agreement was a good buy! Go figure#!$%

We had purchased a 50 inch flat screen RCA TV a few years ago and signed up for the protection plan. A few months ago the TV starting shutting off on its own and not wanting to turn back on. We called the Sears protection plan office to set up a visit. The negatives were that it took over three weeks to see us the first time. The repair person came three different times ruling out different possible causes for our problems. Finally on the third visit and about six weeks since we first called he told us that they would be replacing out TV. We received a credit and are very happy with our new 65 inch LG TV. We have also kept our warranty going with this new television. The three stars is for the tardiness in coming to a solution.

Had over oven microwave repaired. Tech was lazy and dismissive. Expected owner to do half the work - disconnecting and reconnecting exhaust vent from microwave was beneath him - expected 85 year old senior citizen to do it.He took wild guess as to the problem and was wrong. Has taken 5 month and still not back together right. Discount coupons were not applied.Fix it yourself or buy new... Sears A&E service is terrible..

No hassle using our Sears Warranty. Would have rated service higher but it took FOUR weeks from the time I called to complete my repair. Your repair cannot be an emergency or you cannot be in a hurry!!!

The person i work for who is confined to bed made an appointment with sears appliance repair el centro to fix his washing machine. It took 2 weeks for a technician to make it out to look at it. The technician was here doing whatever with the washer for about a half hour after which he pronounced the washer fixed. He charged my boss 99 dollars for a service call got a check and left. I went out to use washer it did not work same problem. Called sears they said he couldnt fix it. Told me he would be back here within 30 mins. Its been over an hour no word. I went out and checked washer both inlet water solenoids are bad. Do not let these people near your appliances

I wish the appointments for repair were not so long. Also, the technician when I was diagnosing the washer uncovered the drain pump filter and charged me 100 dlls in addition to the 100 dlls that Sears charges for sending a technician. I value the work and the experience of the people but excuse me, I think it was an abuse.
