So many issues with our recent visit. Doug suggested a Motorola phone vs. the Samsung Galaxy we intended to purchase. We specially asked if it had wireless charging capabilities--he assured us it did. We even asked a second time before purchasing to confirm. Turns out it does NOT have the wireless charging capability. We left the store and discovered the texting feature wasnt working. We called the store and Doug could not figure out what the problem was so we needed to call Verizon Tech Support. Thankfully we got through the hold time quickly and Verizon determined Doug had not activated the texting feature on the phone. The Verizon Tech fixed this for us. Doug suggested a jetpack for our home since we have poor reception in our rural area. He assured us there was a 14 day trial period in which we could return the device. He did NOT mention there would be a $35 restock fee or that the activation fee would not be refunded if we returned it. We did return it and the younger man who handled the return did not cancel the Verizon service for the device--he just processed the hardware return. Probably wont be going back to this store.

I may have just had a personality difference with the salesman, so don’t want to tarnish the store but want others to know my experience. I also think this may be helpful to the store as feedback.I decided to go to this retailer store due to convenience, I thought I could get through an upgrade of three phones easier and it’s closer to my home. Everything started out fine, I was shown the phone we wanted to upgrade and they had availability in stock. The salesman said they would set up our new phones to mirror our old phones setup and data. He also mentioned they were better than the corporate store since they didn’t do high pressure sales. We agreed and went forward with three new phones and all three old phones had a good trade in value. We were under the impression we would walk out with new phones all setup with data transfer from our old phones, and the trade-in credit of old phones would be taken care.After we agreed to the sale, that’s where things went south. He activated the phones, then said to transfer our data from old phones to the new phones would take about 1 1/2 hours. They have slow internet at the store and backing up and downloading back would take considerable time. We could leave and come back or do it ourselves at home and he encouraged we do this on our own. He also sent us out the door with our old phones without much information on how to trade them for credit towards the promotion. He just said to go to the Verizon website for details. I’ve struggled to figure this out and consider myself tech savvy.He also tried repeatedly to get us to purchase overpriced accessories. He gave heavy pressure to purchase usb wall chargers. He said they were $35 each, but they rang up at $50 each. He didn’t say anything until I questioned the cost he asked for was more than what he quoted.I like to research accessories and don’t like those quick in store decisions, especially with salesman pressure. In hind sight, I should have stated at the start that any pressure to purchase accessories would result in cancelling the phone purchase and I would go elsewhere.I felt once we agreed to the sale and basic activation of the new phones was completed, that we no longer provided value and couldn’t leave soon enough.I’ll be going to the corporate store today to try to figure out my trade-in. Ugh, so much for thinking I was saving time by not going to the corporate store by the mall.Update: Verizon corporate store took my old phones for trade. No mailing in by me. Easy peasy. Should have went here from the start.

Went to return a cord that didnt work out for us. The clerk began very upset. Angry to the point grabbing MY credit card, and slamming it into the customers self service point of sale. Explained to that you dont touch my card as you would a child. He was a clerk hardly a professional. It was explained to him its my money spend it where I wish.

I went in to upgrade / switch phones and talked to Doug Garrett. He told me the budget iPhone SE I wanted to get wasnt sold by Verizon anymore and was pretty much garbage and that it was pointless to go with anything short of the $700 iPhone 8. I wasnt looking for his opinion or getting bullied into buying a more expensive phone as I had already done my research and made a decision on what I wanted. He told me Verizon doesnt sell the SE (or anything before 7) anymore, which is completely false. He said that anything before the iPhone 8 is just pure garbage, which isnt supported by just a cursory review from customer reviews and industry sources (people actually like the 6S better than the 8).We came a week ago and spoke to someone else who was friendly and helpful. However, as well as a $30 activation fee required whenever you add a phone to the network (unavoidable whether you activate it online, over the phone or in the store) the store will charge you $20 to restore your phone. This is really easy to do on your own and I thought it was a free service - apparently not.I ended up buying the phone I wanted and activating online / over the phone. I wont do business with someone who uses bullying sales tactics to try to get me to buy something I dont need. I know not all these guys are as bad as Doug but that along with the hidden fees made me feel like they had zero interest in providing a service and 100% interest in up selling me and taking my money.

Ive never written a review for a place such as this but after numerous amazing experiences at this place this place deserves a great review. They take care of me by getting me into the right phone that fits my needs. Ive went in several times with questions and they are quick, efficiant, and always make me feel important. These guys know their stuff better than any Verizon store Ive been to. It is worth going to this store without any fear they will try to up sell you into product you dont need. Trust them.

Do NOT do business with these people. They are an independent retailer and do NOT follow Verizon policy even when told to do so by Verizon. The staff was friendly and as helpful as the corporate rules would let them be. You can not just buy a pay as you go phone (there brand) and add it to the account. You have to pay full price for and extra fee of $50.00 a month for 6 months. I cancelled the account and moved it to att. They will take a cheap pay and go phone ( a att phone) and add it to your current account no extra fees. Just normal usage fees. Thats way only 2 stars.

HORRIBLE!!!!!! Nothing like having a clerk start the B#### word at you by woman at 12 pm on 8 20 2016. Would not allow to get another phone on my account because didnt have my pin number with me.GO TO THE ONE BY OAKDALE MALL!!! Service and polite. Looked up account and moved on successfully. No pin required. Drivers license was all that was required.

This outlet is staffed with the most incompetent employees. On both occasions I have used them, they have made serious errors with my contract that have cost me hundreds of dollars, and many hours with Verizon customer service. I know Verizon has launched a fraud investigation against this outlet based on one of their ‘mistakes’. Ultimately, I don’t feel they are malign, but they are witless to the point of being dangerous.

I would give them less if I could. I went in because my phones battery was running down quickly after an update. I got a song and dance from Doug about how it was an old phone and it was grabbing all this information, which was pulling the battery down. There was nothing I could do.But wait! Im eligible for an upgrade. I dont really want one. Cant afford one. Doug insists they can find me a phone I can afford. I agree to look.First rule of the snake charmer, dont look in their eyes. Cover your ears.He starts piling up all these accessories on the counter.Whoa whoa whoa. I dont want all that stuff.Its free! It comes with the phone.Are you sure?Positively!I dont really need a car charger. I have four already and no cigarette lighter that works, but it comes with the packages so whatever.I ask about the contract. No contract. Times have changed. Instead of all the set up fees, and miscellaneous other fees and such and the two year contract theres just a down payment and a small monthly payment. No obligation other than to pay off the phone.All right, I guess.He looks at my phone bill and he can save me some money by putting me on another plan. Saving money is good. I can get the phone, more data and a new phone for about what I was paying. Even better.But wait! Theres more! What about a tablet!?Dont need one. Ive got a laptop and a pc.But these are so convenient and its...FREEEEEE!Yes, ladies and gentlemen, for only a $10 line charge you too can have a $389 tablet. What a deal. Of course, you never pay it off. The charge goes on forever and ever and ever and if you cancel before two years...they want your firstborn. Of course not, nothing so mundane. Just a few hundred dollars for a $389 tablet. The same one you can buy on the Verizon website for $249. If you bring it back the next day or any time within the next two weeks they charge you a $70 restocking fee to make sure you dont change your mind.But wait! Theres more!You need a screen protector and cover for your shiny new tablet that you really didnt want in the first place, but let yourself be talked into. Dont look away. If you do that screen protector you said you were going to pass on is getting slapped on that baby anyway. Its only $79. What the heck?So, you get home and it is a nice phone. Its shiny. The tablet sits in the box, like it probably will most of the time.Then you get the email from Verizon. Hi! With the changes to your bill, it will now be nearly double what it was.But Wait! Theres more!Remember all those fees you no longer have to pay because you pay the monthly plan now? Yeah, not so much. Not only is your bill doubled, but theres a host of fees on your first bill.In his defense, Doug did say there would be a couple of small fees the first bill. A couple of small fees is not what youre looking at.You call Verizon the next morning and discuss how unhappy you are with their store. By now youve pored over the pages of paperwork and receipts. You know the free stuff that comes with the phone? Not so much. You didnt pay a down payment. You paid for every...single...piece of crap in that free package including that over-priced car charger you have zero use for.The guy at Verizon is very sweet, but explains A Verizon is not an official Verizon store. He makes adjustments to the bill taking off insurance policies that I never requested and some other things. He does all he can, but I have to deal with the store.I talk to the manager who is very understanding. Right. Bring the stuff back in and well give you a full refund. Hell also make sure Verizon knows the phone has been returned as well as the tablet so Im not charged for them. He does neither. Verizon, bless them, finally got my bill straightened out after I was assured he had taken care of it.I got a partial refund. Corporate was no better.Stick to the official store.
