The employees are super knowledgeable and extremely friendly and I would recommend this hardware store 10 out of 10. Ive been going to them for years and they always have the answer! And if not they point me in the proper direction! Plus they are extremely friendly! Very nice conversations!

One of the last of the old time hardware stores. If you need it they probably have it. If they dont have it theyll either get it or tell you where to find it. Glass and screen repair, lawn mower and snowblower maintenance, and a wealth of knowledge is available here.

I love this place. The customer service is phenomenal. The staff are ALWAYS very helpful and they are always willing to find ways to help you make your project easier. They sell things that the bigger stores dont carry (Lowes, Home depot). They have repaired lamps and other such items for me which larger stores dont. They are just so personable. I cant say enough good things about this place. Ive been going here for years and years and I would recommend DeRonne Hardware to anyone.

I wish there were negative stars . I went in for a screen repair which was gonna run about $60 and was told i had to pay for service in advance, I have never in my lifetime paid any screen repair service in advance at any store, It is not my problem if customers leave their screens and never pick them up. Provide faster service and they will be picked up. I understand the store policy however $60 is a lot of money these days and your business can take a deposit of 25% or so in the event of the customer not picking the product up. There are ways to recoup the cost without upsetting a customer who lives right down the road and always comes there for items at least once a month or more, your claim ticket even states that items left over 45 days may be sold to recoup expenses, Also there is nothing in writing stating that this repair must be payed in advance as well. Tony could of meet me halfway instead he would rather see me take my business elsewhere. The customer is always right is a phrase that still exists today. I did spend $15 there today as well for other items so I do want this worked out . If not I will never ever step foot in this store again and drive further from my home to give my business and hard earned money to a better business that wants my business.

Prices are sometimes a bit higher than the bigger stores, however they are only a few minutes away from me, and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable!

The mechanic said he never seen a snowblower disintegrate like this thank goodness it didnt cost me a fortune all fixed and ready to run just have to wait for some more snow love this place

Went to buy somethings from the local hardware store today. Put all my purchases back and will be going to Ace from now on even though it’s further. Three employees walking around the store, not one of them wearing a mask during a state mandated requirement in a global pandemic that has already killed hundreds of thousands of people. Several customers in the store with masks, some elderly. This company should be ashamed.

Got everything needed and employes were kind and useful. Took off a star because they werent wearing masks fully and some just didnt have a mask on at all.

Love this place. Any time i need a missing part to something they have it or a very great replacement of it. They literally take over and find it for you. Which is good for me because i dont have much knowledge with bolts, screws, and ect. Their customer service is definitely always friendly. They are fast and quick. I recommend when you need something in the hardware department come here.

Before I moved across town, I used to shop Deronne regularly. Ive bought water heaters, rented tools, had welding done. My family has bought thousands of gallons of paint from this store. They have a great stock of products and a helpful service department.I went in today and was sad to see that the management has chosen to disregard Covid mask protocols. None- and I mean none- of the staff were wearing masks. I have such a hard time reconciling all of the super help and friendly gabbing Ive enjoyed through the years with todays display of disregard for paying customers.I know this review wont change any opinions of Deronne management, or anyone else for that matter. At least I can warn people prior to their approaching this store. I have not found a hardware store in the tricounty area that matches Deronne, but I will not return based on my experience today.

No doubt about this deronne Hardware I came in with a spark plug that was a foreign spark plug made in Japan or China they went the extra mile to try to find the spark plug as you know they did not have it stock. I dont remember the young kids name but he came over and he went the extra mile he tried so hard to find a plug that would match they did not have one but him taking the time out to help me I was totally amazed I told him go help somebody else Im doing fine dont worry about it Ill go and find it somewhere he goes thats okay let me try anyways he tried and he tried and you tried you want on computer but they did not have it at all told me to take a ride down go to AutoZone call them first and see if they have a plug I called them they said they had one and when I went to AutoZone I bought the plug I went home and it didnt even match at all the old plug now thats made me very upset but besides that were talking about D Ronnies Hardware theyre totally awesome and their help is great

Easily one of the best if not the very best hardware store in the area. Id recommend just going straight here instead of messing with the low-IQ individuals at a Lowes or Home Depot. If they dont have what you need its possible that no one does.

I have always loved this place since moving to this area 5 years ago. People like to claim theyre overpriced, but I see no problem paying a little extra to support a small, local business. Theyre always friendly, helpful, and I must say that Im impressed with their handling of the new normal given the pandemic; all staff wore masks, and the cashiers had gloves as well, and disinfected every surface i touched at the counter. Kudos, DeRonnes!

Spent a lot of money here in the past. Bought 3 pairs of Carhartt boots, carhartt shirts, Carhartt sweaters, Carhartt jackets, tools, fasteners, etc.. As a construction business owner I will absolutely never ever make another purchase here, especially the 9 mile store. I hope my employees never treat a customer that way.RESPONSE TO OWNER: There is absolutely no way that coat could have been in newer condition than it was the day I brought it in for return. The day I bought the coat it stayed in the bag until I got home from work, once I was home I tried the coat on and realized that it was not a good fit in multiple areas, I folded the coat, put it back in the bag and tied the bag closed, then the coat was brought to your store. The day I brought the coat to your store “still in the same bag” I put the coat in the bag on the counter, gave your employee the receipt and asked her if I could return the coat. Before she even opened the bag to look at the coat the first thing she said was NO. I looked at her confused and puzzled and she grabbed the walkie-talkie and called for Carhartt assistance, she then opened the bag, grabbed the coat out and started looking at it. Another employee came over “the Carhartt employee”, grabbed the coat, DIDN’T EVEN LOOK AT IT, put it to her nose, said it smells like smoke and started walking away until I said what/wait. Then the first employee said oh I didn’t smell smoke because I smoke. Your Carhartt employee was smelling the “smoke” on you cashier employee not the coat. The coat was sealed in the bag until your employee “that smokes” took it out. Your employee told me NO before she even knew what I had in the bag, before she even looked at it and before your other employee even came over. So they are either trained to not take returns or they just didn’t feel like dealing with it. Honestly it’s not about the $109.00 the coat cost. It’s not about the coat at all. It’s about the way your employees made me feel, it’s about how I was treated. I would never return something I bought unless I absolutely knew for sure that it was able to be resold as a new item. I have never ever posted about a business on here or any other platform good or bad.

Terrible. Wish I could give a zero. We dropped our broken window off WEEKS ago paid for it in full. Every time we call to see when it will be done the Manager has no clue to when that will be. No estimate, nothing. But they sure did take our money in full before telling us that. Now weeks later we still have no window and they said they cant even tell us when they can get to it. Horrible customer service. Dont take a broken window here ever expecting to get it fixed.

Great hardware store that is old school with service and product. I have lived in the area for 30 years and it is not conveniently located for me. I was driving by and decided to stop in. I would have rated it a 5 and would go out of my way to shop there. However, on July 15th on my first visit only one of their employees was wearing mask and two of their customers were not. SELFISH!

I visited the Eastpointe location on Friday, October 9th. 3 out of the 4 employees that I encountered were not wearing a mask. It was not incorrectly on their chin or even in their hand...it was nowhere to be seen. One of the employees was working the front register and the other 2 were in the service area. Not only is this illegal but there is a sign on the door that states that masks must be worn. This is clearly not enforced since even employees are not made to wear them. This was not an isolated incident either because I have seen several negative comments on social media about masks not being worn at this location. I take this pandemic and the instructions from our governor very seriously to keep myself as well as my family safe. I will not be returning to the Eastpointe location for my hardware needs if the employees are not concerned about the safety of the customers.

I have been shooping at Deronne for over 15 years. Today I went in to purchase some different screws for a headboard. The first set was to long and I returned them for the correct size. The sales clerk was extremely rude after I told her I would Iike to exchange them. I told her the price was the same and she said that cant be. She was going to call to confirm when said I dont care and threw the screws I was exchanging into a box behind the counter. I told her that was rude and inconsiderate to me as a customer. Subsequently, she retrieved the ones I wanted to exchange and gave them to me. More than likely she was having a bad day. However, I will probably take my business elsewhere.

They are ready to assist and have been part of my home and auto needs since 2007. I really like that they are close for a qick in and out.

Their prices are higher than your Home Depot or Lowes would be. Service is usually good.

Not helpful at all. They need to upgrade their service crew. They use to be good but went there on 02.08.2020 around 5 pm and their service was horrible.

Dont take your snow blower here. Didnt listen to instructions, misdiagnosed the engine and told me it was shot with a compression problem. Totally wrong. Finally did a simple carb adjustment to fix, but then didnt do the tune-up I asked for.
