I wish all of the maintenance men and repairmen that come to our house could be like the gentleman that came to do our semi-annual HVAC maintenance. My initial impression was that he was friendly and sincere. When he was done with his work, he came to me with a detailed explanation of what he did and he answered all of my questions CLEARLY. I’ve used ServiceToday for more than a year and could not be happier. They first repaired our heat pump which a prior company tried and failed to do. They have also replaced a spigot outside that had become leaky. They are always easy to schedule, reliable, and will stay until they get the job done right. But today was over the top. The drain plug on our bathtub had become hopelessly stuck. John tried a number of solutions but because the bathtub area is tiled, he could not get to the drain from inside to force it open. So he crawled under the house through the crawlspace (with who knows what watching) and managed to work his way through the joists to the tub, and get the drain open. Total commitment. This whole process took hours, and yet the bill was very reasonable. I will use ServiceToday forever.

James was very polite and efficient. He seemed to be thorough. He explained everything he did and presented written reports. He provided an estimate for thermostat replacement and explained how it would work. Very satisfied.

Technicians Mark and Chris arrived early to remove the old and install a new hot water heater and to relocate it as well. They had to rewire and replumb due to the relocation and did an outstanding job. In removing the old tank they took extra care not to damage the carpeted stairs and were very neat in all aspects. They were very professional in all aspects of their work.

I called for my ac maintenance and zach w was sent out. He called when he was on his way and was very friendly and personable. Zach was fun to talk to while he was working and explained quite a bit too. I tend to ask a lot of questions and he gladly answered every one of them. Very very nice guy!

First they fixed an emergency water main repair in our bathroom and then later replaced our toilet, all great work for a reasonable price. We have a lot of more upgrades and work lined up with them also, and I’m confident it will be top notch and professional. Ask for Chris and Justin for your repairs— these guys are good.

Called Service today on a Friday for Electrical issue. Stated they dont have technicians on call on the weekends. Not sure why they state they do same day service and even have the company named Service Today. We have used them a few times in the past and never had a issue with same day service yet this time now they dont have technicians on call during the weekends. I dont have problem paying there emergency service charges yet they cant even fulfill what they advertise. Last straw for us. No need for a response as Im sure it will be some corporate response from them.

I have used Service Today numerous times in the past. My last service Tech Carson was beyond amazing and took the time to clearly explain what he was doing and how it worked. He gets an A+ and service today should be ecstatic to have him as a part of their team! A part 2 of my review. We had a tech come out that was not good to fix out HVAC unit I will not name him. We had to call to have someone come out a second time. They sent Carson to come out on 6/21 and fixed our issue and again Carson restored my faith in Service Today and went above and beyond my expectations! He made it right and no doubt in my mind why I choose Service Today! Carson deserves a bushel of crabs and a cold case of beer!

Typical contractor...They bill you $49 (dispatch fee) just to stop by and then bill you an additional $125 to tell you that you need an electrician. Thats $175 for a ten minute visit & they accomplished absolutely nothing. Prices are absurd and they will not install customer supplied units because the company buys them directly from the manufacturer and then adds a nice little markup. On top of all that, the technician improperly diagnosed the unit. Within 48 hours I personally had the unit running properly...total cost of repair...$10 bucks for a new thermostat which you can buy at any home improvement store. Dont wait your time or money...

What a wonderful company. Service Today in Easton, MD has the best employees I have ever seen. Our heat pump stopped working on a Saturday evening. Their tech Kevin came out to try and fix it. What a happy, friendly man. Our system was 12 years old; so it was time to replace it. This is their busy season and with some HVAC companies it’s been hard to get equipment due to the COVID19 pandemic. Service Today had my new Trane and was able to put it in on Thursday. Their sales person, Bill, was a delight to talk to. He helped us on the financing by explaining all the options. What a friendly person.I highly recommend their services. Service Today is great to have as your HVAC provider. They come out same day when we call and their technicians are professional and always seem to know what to do. We have their maintenance plan and it has paid for itself time over time.

I had Service Today replace my 2 heat pumps recently. The whole process was handled very professionally, the work was impeccable, and the job was done in a very timely manner. If you like companies that bend over backwards to make you happy, Service Today is the company for you.

Fees are not transparent. $49 is travel fee only, then you have to pay for his/her time-that was not conveyed on the phone. Got charged $99 for nothing, he was there less then 30 minutes, now I have to pay to have the coil door replaced (not under warranty) plus labor. The lady at the office also insinuated I was lying about how the door got bent. She didn’t know she was on speaker phone. Homeowners don’t have a need to open the coil door, we only open the other door to change the filter. Not happy at all.

Worst. Experience. Ever.I have a backed up main drain and essentially paid these guys $89 to drop by, hear the problem, and without looking at anything, tell us that the only treatment they could perform was over $600 and probably wouldn’t work anyway. Really not sure why this couldn’t have been communicated over the phone when I called them four days ago.Oh, but it gets worse. They then offered to take a look to see if they find anything because they were already there and were charging us the $89 diagnostic fee anyway, so they ran two bathubs and a toilet, resulting in (exactly as we told them would happen) a toilet overflowing a half-inch of water from the drain (complete with hair, gunk, and who knows what fungus) all over my bathroom floor, through the kitchen, and just onto the dining room carpet. They then plunged the toilet repeatedly to no avail, sinply splashing more gunk water all over my floor. They then proceeded to track their gunky wet shoes all across my carpet back out to the truck (even though there was a closer exit on only linoleum through the back) so that they could write up the bill for my house’s new hydrotherapy.These guys are essentially useless. I could’ve plunged my own toilet and drowned my own floor for free. Never going to them again. Ever.
