Thank you for your response.Allow me to thank the gentleman at the riverside and the gentleman who drove us to the river.Having said that kindly allow me to respond to your comment which I believe you stated a good portion of the truth! However, your statement about my phone call is not founded and is not close to any truth!I wish instead of taking all the time to make false and fake conversations and excuses about my size!!! To just go and train your staff and fix the kayaks.I leave it to the people to make their wise judgments. Also I wish to add to the people that this river and the park is fabulous and deserve to be explored. YET, I do NOT recommend your business at all.——— ——- ——-Be carful! This company do not service their kayaks! We requested twin kayaks for the 6 miles trip. We reached the launch area and found our kayak number 274 is not adjustable to our size. We waited for another 10 min for them to bring another kayak. Big car with about 10 kayaks came. The second kayak they offer us was number 27 and had the same problem, yet they kept asking us to take it and it is fine to go out with such a problem in it! We refused. The 3 rd kayak number 100 blue collar looked ok and we accept it. To our surprise after 5 min into the river the kayaks’ seats started to move front and back! We could not hook them to anything to keep them steady. We looked back to see if they are there of course they were gone! We continue the 6 miles in the river in this manner. This company is horrible. When we came back I spoke to the lady how answered the phone I told her my feedback, she said OK! She did not show and compassion or empathy! In fact she acted as my feedback was not new to her. I told her I am not asking for refund I just want the company to fix the issue so no other person would go through what we experienced with them. Still she did not even said thank you! Wow.

A very nice company that provides canoes, kayaks and rafts for rent. They will deliver your rental watercraft(s) to a selected location and pick you along with it in a location downstream. Good price for a great experience! Just make sure to pace yourself to arrive by 6pm to avoid late fees. We did a 6 mile canoe trip in a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Enjoyed every moment of it. Similar to other water sports businesses. It is not too far from route 80 on Delaware Water Gap and easy to find. Front desk people are nice and eagle to help. Right now, they use Kittatinny Visitors Center as customer pick up and boat drop off site. You still need to go to their office first for registration and get a number for boating. The time between two shuttle buses is around 50 minutes.

What a great experience! My fiance, dog and I went to adventure sports early one Friday morning. First, you go to the office, located at this address to check in. Here, the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and happy to greet you. Then you get directed to your finishing point (for us it was Smithfield beach). After paying $10 to park in the public park, a shuttle from Adventure Sports takes you in a shuttle (pets welcome) to your starting point (Dingmans Ferry for us). Our shuttle driver was very nice and did a good job with a quick safety briefing and overview of our paddle. We did a 10 mile paddle and it took us 5 hours at a relaxing pace, with 2 stops to swim, and eat lunch. Once we made it back to Smithfield beach, shuttle drivers were there retrieving other customers boats and welcoming us back. The river was really calm, and surprisingly deep in some parts (definitely over 10). There were also not a lot of people out on the river, probably because it was a Friday. The weekends get very busy here in the summer, so if a weekday trip is possible, it will be a lot more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning.

Horrible, was originally told to use a raft for my 3 kids myself and my wife but when we purchased the employees argued with all this experience that we should use all five.on a single canoe instead, absolutely horrible, we were beginners, first timers and told them so but no one ever mentioned a crash course about keeping canoe straight or even how to use it, so when we got out there we helicoptered down the river barley missing a few islands, the river bank and a few trees, we were rescued by park ranger from new Jersey whom thankfully helped us to shore and get the canoe to safety. Then the company picked us up and kept us In whole the van and we had to wait for two hours, and when asked for refund they said everything was all our fault. Horrible for beginners would recommend other companies on area. The employees were annoyed with us and more concerned about the canoe then our childrens safety. Also they left the communication radio on and left it on loudly in the van which was terribly unprofessional. I wouldnt have been upset if they just offered us a free trip to get our money back or what we paid for. We got 20 min out of a 3 hour or a half mile or so out of a 6 mile trip. Sales lesson customer is always right.

It was an absolute nightmare last time we used you. A pattern developing of late.. No convenient parking. Had to wait at the NJ 1 for a spot to open up. we got there at 9, didnt get on water till nearly 1pm. No time to enjoy what they are promising.this operation got too greedy last couple years. They dont reward anyone for patronage or for smaller groups. Just longer and longer wait times, nearly impossible state hopping parking. Our last trip looked like this. Register in office at 9am. drive to NJ. Pray for an open spot. Wait an hour till one opens up. Park. Wait for the 3rd or 4th van to swing down to pick everyone up. Drive all the way to Bushkill. take a half hour instructional. Paddle like nuts to not be late., or they hit u with a late fee. then wait at Smithfield Beach to take us back to NJ to get our cars .We spent more time finding and getting to and from our car than actually on the water. Getting there early doesnt help one bit.Wasted half of a great day due to your operational inadequacies and lack of logistics to accommodate any real influx of business. The adventure was back and forth on Route 80 between NJ and PA most of day. Horrible how this place became.

My friends and I went to Adventure sports 3 times in one week. Each time we brought more friends which means we were bringing more business and more money to this establishment. The first two trips were pretty good. After our third trip I will not be returning. My boyfriend had called to reserve the third trip the day of.Then the woman proceeded to state they do not take reservations the same day of the trip over the phone, even though this is how we reserved both times prior. Then she went to talk to her colleague (without placing the phone of mute) and mimicked my boyfriend. They ended up taking our reservation. We got to the facility and there were AT LEAST 100+ people in the parking lot and there were no employees that promoted social distancing. We ended up waiting close to two hours to get to our drop off point (which at this point we could not make our 16 mile trip because it was already 1 when we got to the actual building at 10:30). Literally the only reasoning as to why I am not rating this experience as a one is because the shuttle drivers are amazing at what they do. Oh by the way, when we requested a discount for the woman mimicking my boyfriend. They applied a smaller discount than the weekend discount SO WE ENDED UP SPENDING MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE (weekend discount applied 10% off, the discount that was applied on our purchase was 5%). Terrible experience. I do not recommend this place.

We did the 10 mile kayak trip. Its self guided, so you can go at your own pace. Plenty of places to stop and picnic or swim.Everything went smoothly and every interaction I had with the staff was pleasant. Seriously, these people were all super nice and super helpful, I was impressed. For 50 bucks a head, the price is hard to beat. You park at the end point, and they take you by van to your launch point. This way, after your trip, you just pull your kayaks to the shore and then drive on your way.The trip itself can be a little physically intense, but that also depends on the water level and how fast you want to go.Overall it was a great time and I will be going again.

The experience itself is not bad. The 6 mile trip is long and very time consuming. The river is extremely placid and takes ALOT of energy to paddle. You can basically walk faster than the raft is moving. If you can, use a canoe or kayak. The raft moves extremely slow on the river. We had a very strong headwind against us for 80% of the trip. It was so strong, that if you stopped paddling, you would litterally go backwards. We arrived 30 min late to the final pick up location. The staff was not happy and very unprofessional due to our late arrival. We tried to explain to them that we did not have any rest or stops because we were paddling for 4 hours straight to try to make it on time. We would probably not do this trip again.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had at an adventure sport. They’re rude and they’re staff seems to be dissatisfied with their jobs or something. Given the situation of the pandemic, when we objected to overload the van with capacity the driver told us that the state regulates them to carry the maximum number of passengers and refused to make a double trip to split the passengers. Overall, I’d give it a 0 star. They’’re lucky they operate in a scenic area. A warning out there for everyone who try out this business, the service is absolutely bad and they don’t care! As their name suggests it’s ‘ADVENTURE’ sports so you’re on your own.

My gf and I had a lot of fun today Kyaking. We chose to do the 10 mile trip and I just want to say it is not for the faint of heart! There are some spots where huge rocks cover the entire river floor and you have to navigate rapids in water a few inches deep at mile 4 of 10 miles in. Would be 5 stars but when a place continually explains how easy the trip is and how no prior experience is needed I expect the river or directions to avoid rocky shallows to be clearly stated. We had prior experience and are in fairly good shape and had difficulty. We will definitely go again although next time we will do the 6 mile trip.

We’ve been enjoying water rafting for years, and this was our first year time going with Adventure Sports, and we were very unsatisfied with the customer service and experience. We booked for around 20 people and when we called in we asked if we could bring our dogs (they’re small dogs), they said that if the dogs got wet then they would not drive us back (even though they advertised as being “dog friendly”. We felt the employees that we talked to were very rude and acted like they did not want to be working there. When we were returning our rafts and canoes the guy shouted out “Adventure sports if you stop by the mud we will not take you back” in a aggressive tone. We constantly felt unwelcome and uncomfortable whenever we had to talk to an employee. For the COVID concerns, when we had to go back to the parking lot after finishing our excursion, they stuffed our group with other people into ONE bus. We felt that this was a safety concern as we were already a big group and we had to be in a enclosed space with others, if they really cared they would have let us have one bus to ourselves. Regardless if they did this prior to COVID or not, we wish them the best and hope they use this criticism in order to better their company.

We hired a canoe and paddled from Bushkill to Delaware Water Gap - 16 miles in one day. Very much worthwhile! After checking in at their base we were instructed to drive to the finishing point where a shuttle met us. The shuttle took us to the start point via the ten mile mark to give clear instructions at what time we would need to reach this in order to finish the whole journey. The paddle itself was very scenic, and we saw herons, eagles, ducks and a bobcat. There were some rapids and some shallow bits but nothing too treacherous. The 16 miles took us 6 hours, with a half-ish hour lunch break.Points for improvement would be to just give a map address for us to drive to from the check in point, as we were provided with a not-to-scale map which needed some interpretation, we should perhaps have been sized for the paddles, and in view of a lot of information being given this might have been better done in writing. These are otherwise very small points in a very pleasant experience. Thanks!

On my birthday this year I was going to use Adventure Sports for the second time, the first time they were very rude so I opted to use a different company in town. The company in town was much nicer and even gave me a veterans discount of 10%. Despite my first experience with Adventure Sports I decided to try them again for my birthday, mostly to save time rather than drive all way back into town. While at Sophies diner next to Adventure Sports a man had a heart attack, I helped him get an ambulance, I parked his car for him, I got him his cell phone, I made sure his passengers had their luggage, I helped put the gurney in the ambulance, I even held the mans hand and comforted him. When I got to Adventure Sports I told them what happened, I told them it was my birthday, I told them I was a veteran, they could care less. Lisa and Ilene said I missed the cut off for 10 mile trip we had come to do. It was bizarre, they were totally unsympathetic and callous. I found out later that I was actually there 10 minutes before the cut off which is normally 2pm, I was there at 1:50pm, I heard also they let people go on the 10 mile trip as late as 3:45 many days. This wasnt just a bad experience these are bad people. Their attitude was you helped a man with heart attack its your problem, you snooze you loose. Birthday who cares? Veteran who cares? I urge you not go to these people, they are the most expensive service in town and the other places I have been are actually human.

Im not sure why anyone would give these guys as much money as they ask to use a public waterway and public boat launches, and the campsites, inside a state park... We paid for those things with our taxes. Not only that, but they act like they own the properties they operate on, maybe they have an agreement with the park, but it doesnt excuse them blocking traffic on boat ramps with their trailers and vans for extended periods of time. They are extremely inconsiderate. I, for one, would never give them a dime.

Weve been coming to the Poconos and canoeing down the Delaware for over 15 years and this was by far our worst experience.1. The price is much higher than any of the other local rental shops2. They make you drive your personal vehicle to the launching spot and charge you $10 per car to park3. After paying the $10, you are asked to walk with your belongings a long way before reaching the boat area. It took over 10 minutes to find where our boats were and walk there because there was no one from the company there to help guide us or signs. The directions they gave us told us to wait but when the van arrived, he just told us we had to walk.4. After getting to the end and returning the boat, it took 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive to bring us back to our car5. Largely, the staff was unfriendly and unhelpfulSpend your money elsewhere.Update: Our reservation was booked under Max Z. and we were a party of 5. We caused no problems during our stay and arrived on time. You must have us confused with another unhappy customer. The attitude in your response further shows the type of service you can expect from this place.

Easy, convenient, and friendly! What more could you ask for? We showed up - 2 people - and got two individual kayaks essentially on the spot. Friendly, helpful staff, great course (on the calmer side,) can only recommend!
