Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews on here. The staff is nice, the building is really cool, old historic place. Ive never had an issue here.

Its’ really unfortunate, but this post office is actually a beautiful building and most of the staff (that I have met) have been polite… except for one exceptionally rude woman (whose photo has actually been posted below in another review). This isn’t my first encounter with this lady, and had there not been a second one that extended continuously throughout my time being there (had a lot of packages), I would have done the best I could to avoid any situation at all. With continuous snide remarks, and evident blatant disrespect, it lead me no choice but to voice my opinion very abruptly. Needless to say, she got the message, that I was not the one! I wish there were someone I could report this unprofessionalism to, because it sounds to me as I am not the only customer that she is actively scaring away with the nasty behavior. If anyone can provide me with a contact email, or something, I would love to further pursue this issue…I guess basic respect is too much to ask for!

East providence needs to do better,rebuild this place one person working,and customers are walking out complaining about the wait,i dont know,but all the good reviews seem to be about passports through scheduled appointments

Friendly staff, very helpful with submitting my passport application.

I watched a couple of journalists quietly and respectfully taking some photographs in the post office, when one of the employees caused a scene, saying she didnt want her picture taken. She ended up causing a disturbance, which delayed people from getting their mail. If you dont want your picture taken, then take a job in the private sector... simple.

The sign on the wall stated that passport services were available from on Saturday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. We waited in line for twenty minutes before it was our turn. Theyre not doing passports today, the postal employee told us. I told her it might be a good idea to put up a sign to let people know that, so they wont waste their time waiting. Theyre not doing passports today, she said again.Yes, I get that... Then she told us the main post office was doing passports until 6:00 pm on Saturdays. No, theyre not -- theyre doing them until 2:00 pm. Great customer service. Ugh.

I mail my packages off at this location. Every visit has been a pleasant one with Victor. He is always professional, kind & helpful.

Not impressed at all by this location. If you have to drive a bit further in order to get to another USPS location, then it will most likely be well worth it. There are a few good employees at this location, but most are lazy, rude and unhelpful. A recent problem that occurred a couple of visits ago is when an employee told me that I was required to put a return address on my letter that I was shopping when they are in fact optional. Overall I would recommend that you avoid this particular USPS location unless you truly have to.

I had great, respectful, and relatively fast service. One of the workers took some time to help me create a self-addressed envelope and answered my questions.

Literally the slowest functioning outdated post office in rhode island. couldnt get my passport because the passport employee was on lunch break even though I called ahead of time to see if was ok. when dropping off mail theres long lines because the employees are slow and talk instead of get the job done. theres only one person working at times.

Worst customer service ever. Slow and ignorant people working there.

If they had a sloth working the cashier, things would move faster.
