They charge $2 for card this must be illegal right? Their work is 3/5 but priced good. Just that random $2. Who do you report that to?

I hate my nails . Uneven ,clunky and she rushed . Mind you these were done by the owner of the shop . I had to keep correcting her and even still instead of listening to me she kept going . She I’ll fix it and nothing is fixed . I’ll never come here again especially because another woman did the same thing to another nail tech when I came in

Went to make my nails. We concluded the price, after the rude man put glue and nails on my ten fingers, he insisted I must add extra $5. I showed him the nails I wanted prior to negotiating price. I just had to let go. I cried because I feel robbed. He waited until he glued my nails before adding money. Even the customer service was against him bcos she was there from the beginning. This is the worst place to get your nails. Dont let that old man extort you.

I went to this nail salon cause the one usually go to is out of commission right now. But this is the 1st and last time going here. My nails look terrible. I came for a fill in and I had tell the man how to do his job. He didn’t cut the part of the nails that’s lifting. He made them thick and then tried to add 3 coats of nail polish. And might I add he don’t know how to paint nails. Now I have to soak these off and get a full set.I’m not speaking for everyone in the salon but the older man in the 3rd chair ain’t it!

I got a pedicure and i wanted them to take my nailsOff. When they realized that i didn’t want a fill in they told me they did not have enough time to take my nails off. My current nails would require a them to pull all of the rhinestones off of them. I felt as if they realized that the service requested as cheaper than they initially planned they came up with an excuse. I don’t recommend this place to anyone please go somewhere else

I am sitting here at the salon and the woman just said she could do my nails but now she is saying she cant do m nails at all when I came into the nail salon and asked her what she said because I couldnt understand what she said she refused to service me and sent me out of the nail shop to go somewhere else .

The worst place todo your nails if you not doing fake nails. They don’t even know how to properly hold the nail polish. This photo was from 1/2 an hour after I dis them.

The older man here is beyond rude and cannot do nails. I complained to him multiple times and Im sure he starting talking about me in his language. He even stopped to go outside to smoke a cigarette. There was a younger girl there with a baby who did a good job.

I usually go here to get my nails done . The service is great and friendly , however I’ve noticed my nails do not last long whenever I get them done here . You legit have to get a refill at or before 2 weeks or else your acrylics will fall out one by one . Lol . I started going somewhere else , and my nails last about 3 weeks , sometimes longer before I have to get a fill in .

Great quality. The person that helped me assured me that I would love the finished product and I ABSOLUTELY did!!! I do feel like they are a bit understaffed though but this can be fixed.

Got my nails done yesterday, Im not going back. the lady that had did my pedi had me waiting so she can get her nails done b4 she started my pedi. Then she cut me by the cuticle on my toe. Next I got a full set and I told this Asian guy I wanted pointy tips, he made them soo uneven and crooked and I kept telling him hes like no its fine and he was getting upset when I kept telling him to fix it. He filed my nail too much and couldnt even fix it cause the nail was too skinny. Then cut me while he was filing my nails not one finger but a few. I told him to be gentle and hes like oh its his nails 😑 he was being rough. Another thing is while he was using the machine to smooth out the nails he ran over it with my skin and then looked at me talking about why you moving and I said you cut me and his response was no you okay. I think his name is Joe or something. But hes the skinny Asian dude that smokes I think he the owner. But anyways Im not going back especially not letting those 2 do my nails since they wana be cutting peoples skin off and not be gentle with it!

Do not let the older guy do your nails. Several times I’ve tried him and it’s the worst. Nails are not fully painted, breaking and looking old by the end of the week. Prices have gone up but the service is terrible.Pedicures are pretty good though.

Not sure why the techs always rush your nails especially when there is never a crowd in there. I never seen more than 3 customers at a time there. What are the requirements to be the “techs” ? ... Cutting people all in their cuticles while doing a rush job. Are there any good nail shops in/ near East Orange, NJ that doesn’t require bandages after?

Nails are very over priced for the job done. Its rushed and my nail shape never comes out neat. One nail is either smaller than the other or thinner. I was told the old owners Jay and and his wife left. They were the best nail techs there. I never had a problem with them. Recently the other older man that worked with them did my nails. Dude smelled of cigarettes, he rushed my nails. Two of my nails popped off with in 2 days. Terrible job. Will never come again unless Jay and his wife returners

They’re alright! I only go there for my feet getting done. Nails are alright but they can’t do the fancy hip things you see on insta. Very basic nails. They stay open late which is good

This little gem is the best spot in the area! Ive been coming to ritzy for about 8 months now and I wont GO anywhere else no matter what. I normally see jay or Kelly and Ive sort of found myself building a relationship with them. They remember my name and always treat my time wisely as I do theres. Its really hard to fine professionalism and great talent in one place. They keep up with new styles and designs as well to always take a risk with a good picture. The music is always great and conversations are never dull. THIS IS THE PLACE IF YOU WANT AMAZING NAILS!!!!!!!

So Ive been going there for over a year to get my nails done and after today I wont be going back. First I walk in and was looking for Jay and his wife and was told they were on vacation which is actually meant they relocated and didnt tell anyone not even the staff. Secondly I got a pedicure and received the gel at the bottom of my feel for callus (its been a while since I had a chance to get my feet done LOL) so normally when the workers but this on your they use gloves because they know how strong the chemical is. I have sensitive skin on my legs, so the lady doing my pedicure touched a little patch on my left leg and it began to burn. So it didnt really bother me. So she begins on the other foot and she had this chemical on her gloves and almost wrapped her had around my lower right leg and I told her that it burn, and told her it was not big deal. So after I proceeded to get my nails done I noticed that I had visible BURNS on my legs. When I told the lady who did my feet she told me I was lying!!! Like why would I lie about my skin being burned!!! Please be cautious of where you go and its sad because places like this with workers like that are all through out our community. They lost a loyal customer today!

They used to do a great job and then the owners just got up and left one day without saying anything. The people that do pedicures are great but nails... Not so much.

New go to nail salon. Its really nice and clean inside and I love that they take their time doing your nails. I hope that as they grow in popularity they continue give good customer service. UPDATE 6/19/18 This place has really gone downhill.

I was a happy customer until recently. Ive been going to them since they opened and all was well in the beginning, but as time went on the staff grew less enthusiastic and showed less concern about working. They showed up late and were often absent, leaving 2 nail techs in the salon at a time. The work also got sloppy, I continued to come here because I liked how neat they were. The last few times I left disappointed in either the shape or application. Ritzy may have lost a customer.

This is my third time going and the prices are very reasonable, especially for pink powder. However, when you go ask for Jay! He does wonders and he is very thorough when he does your fill in and designs!

They completly ruined my nails and refused to acknowledge the horrible job and apologize. The man did my tip set in 20 minutes. It was so rushed! I was asked to wash my hands ONCE at the end!!! The finished nail job looks like a 3 week old nail job. After complaining about it, the guy who did it decided to soak them off. Him and his wife (I believe they are the owners) couldnt fix it. DO NOT GO HERE. Ill add pictures of the bad nail job he did, and then what my nails looked like after he cut the acrylic off (unevenly) and soaked it in acetone.

This place is a money grab. They do not do nails properly and they dont care about that. Do not go here. The employees rush yhrough your service, the paint job sloppy and then the employees will act like they cant see how they messed up. Luckily I took pictures. Save your money and your time. This salon is a waste and very careless with their customers.

My experience at this place was horrible.They were extremely rude. The older gentlemen almost made me cry. Ive never thought I would get this type of treatment from a nail salon rated so high. Yes they do good nails but is it worth being mistreated? If you decide to go there after reading this review, just ask yourself were you treated with respect.

The place is brand new clean and quite nice inside. The gentleman who did my nails was very friendly and took his time doing my nails and feet. What turned me off was the woman Kelly who was visibly annoyed I got nail polish instead of gel on my toes she said I thought you were getting gel I said no its a little to expensive and she aggressively asked well how much you pay where you go? ...i was automatically turned off her response was as if I didnt have a right to change my mind. I suggest that they speak to Kelly for she is the reason I will not go back. She even started answering the questions I was asking my nail tech!On a more positive note if you go to Ritz go with the guy he is a great nail tech! My nails came out cute and neat

Its clean and organised. However the chinese lady who did my nails jusy did a rush job, she also wouldnt do coffin style because according to her my nails are short (done nails in a lot of places and neva heard this) she also practically forced me to do short nails cos again my nails are short 🙄, she was too insistent like i ddnt know what i wanted. She just did everything in such a hurry and you could tell it was a rushes job. If i have to go again, will prolly do nails with some1 else

The lady in there gave me terrible brows. I dont know why they advertized something that they could deliver on now Im left with thin and uneven brows because of them and the manicure was nothing special. I recommend the place a little further down better service

Very sloppy job I will not go back. I asked them to clean up the cuticles and they did not. The design they did came off the same day. The nail polish has bubbles. It’s not worth what it cost.

They don’t paint thoroughly. bubble appears on the nail polish. they don’t shape your toes straight. lazy service. they act so scary, don’t want to do what needs to be done for your nails and toes. but they’d do a half a** job.

I will never go back.The place is nice but I was disappointed.The lady that did my eyebrows didnt do a good job.she didnt do the shape I asked for and she left one eyebrow smaller than the other!!?? She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder.Also the guy that did my nails(although he was very nice) did a sloppy job with shaping my nail and didnt do a thorough pedi like getting under your nail and hitting the bottom of your feet.came here because the other salon I go to in orange was closed.Will not be coming back here.I always get compliments on my nails where I go but this place had me disappointed. 😢

I went in and I was being told one price and my card swiped and then I was told that, I needed to pay 5$more for something else. Which I dont understand why until after , which I think they should have told me before doing something and let me know I was being charged for it.

Customer service is really poor! Rush job, wants to do what they want and not what the customer requests, been going there since they opened, but last time will be my last tim . There is one lady in particular who really needs to take a customer service class.

I have been coming to this salon since it opened. I was lured in by its cleanliness and good atmosphere. The owners Kelly and Jay are very nice. However, as time has passed this salon has slacked on providing great customer service and quality of work. As someone mentioned, not everyone shows up on time or some people just dont show up at all leaving two people in the shop at a time. And please do not let one of them be Joe. I CANNOT stand that old man. Instead of helping customers get out, Joe is very boujee and wont do things such as a manicure, he wants to take those doing full sets instead, ALTHOUGH he is not the only boujee one. Which is the second biggest turn off about this place! I once waited for Miriam (great nail tech) to take care of four people before I got my manicure on a Sunday. Meanwhile, Joe walked back and forth doing absolutely NOTHING. I have let him do my full sets a few times in the past and it pisses me off that he ALWAYS need a cigarette break which is why Im over giving him chances. I had to tell him one time not to do it because I dont like the way he smells afterwards. And still he went outside and did it! The quality of his work just about matches his bullshit. If he messes something up he tries to brush it off like its okay. At this point the only reason I come here is due to cleanliness. I rather go back to NY. Until then, I am searching elsewhere.

I made this place my spot after shopping around. Then one day i needed a brief service. The man who fixed my nail was rude as heck! He did not want me to look at his work. He was impatient. I tried to reason with him but no results. Rude. He is the youngest man there he has thinning hair and he cost them $$$$$. Nails are a treat. Dont give me fever!

A friend brought me here and Ive been in love ever since, but for the past few weeks Ive been tryna get my nails done and to my surprise no luck ! #1. I love JAY AND KELLY (husband and wife) so cool and both do great nails. However, the popularity is crazy ! I go to get my nails done yesterday by Kelly because thats who has always done them and I sat there for 2 hrs and still left without getting my nails done. I was sooo upset, but however tomorrow is another day . So today I go and once again to my surprise I had no idea their not open on Sundays ANYMORE. If I would not have called my friend, I would of been standing in front for who knows how long. Theres no hours on the door ! And the business cards still say Sunday 10:00am - 4:00pm 😩 I cnt win ! Not sure if I need her cell number or if thats for special clients , because apparently some clients get the number and some dont ! Some have special appts , nd some dont ! 🤷🏾‍♀️
