We hired Marx Entertainment for our wedding in July 2021 and they did not disappoint! Jared was absolutely fantastic! Before the wedding, he went over all of the details, including song picks, and gave super helpful tips to make the night extra fun. On the day of the wedding, Jared made sure everything ran smoothly. He kept everything flowing throughout the day and then encouraged everyone to get out on the dance floor that night with some awesome music. Everyone had a blast! Jared also checked on us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. He was the perfect addition to our wedding!

Marx Entertainment did an exceptional job with our wedding ceremony and reception. They provided a dedicated online portal where we could easily share lists of our song preferences and we were also able to meet both over the phone and in person with our DJ prior to the event to discuss details. Our DJ, Manu, went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a successful event. He was in touch with us via phone and text a few days prior to finalize details, he arrived several (4-5!) hours early to make sure everything was set up correctly and sounding great, and once things got started I don’t think he took even a 5 minute break! The music was great, he was a welcoming and enthusiastic MC, and I can’t think of a single complaint. He even thanked US at the end for such a fun and warm event. We were so happy. We would hire them again in a second!

Mark and MARX Entertainment were so great to work with for an event our company had in Springfield! Not only was the quality of the furniture (white leather couches and coffee tables) incredible, but the drop-off/pick-up service was reliable and seamless as well. MARX entertainment was great to work with from start to finish! We hired Thom Sliney as our wedding DJ on October 21, 2017 We were absolutely ecstatic with how he was at the wedding. We didn’t know what to expect because we hadn’t ever used Marx Entertainment before. However, from start to finish, Thom was perfect. At the meetings we had before the wedding, Thom was easy and fun to work with. He made sure that he understood our vision for the wedding, and accommodated us to make sure it happened.During the wedding, he was the absolute best! He made sure that my husband and I knew when everything was happening, so that we didn’t miss anything. For example, he came and found me to tell me that my favorite song was up next so that I could be on the dance floor while it played. He also checked in with my husband and I to make sure everything was going how we wanted it to, and to keep on schedule. He was so thoughtful and receptive the entire night.The music was fantastic, and Thom as an MC was great (not overly or under involved).I would 100% recommend Thom to couples getting married (in fact, I already have r commended him to three friends who have weddings next year!)!

When searching for a DJ for our wedding, Ill admit, we had some challenging requirements. Chief amongst which, is that our DJ was fluent in Polish and be familiar with certain cultural wedding traditions, as the brides family is largely native Polish speakers. DJ Tommy Sands was our guy.When we first met with DJ Tommy, it was clear he was much different from the other DJs wed met in the past. He had a great sense of timing events surrounding the wedding, and how to make things run smoothly. Ill never forget when he gave us a tip saying that no matter how much he encouraged people to dance, we as the wedding couple needed to lead by example. Boy was he right!! Whenever we danced, the floors filled, and it was hilarious to observe the effect.Throughout the night, DJ Tommy would show to be our guiding light. When times were a bit off from the schedule, he made thoughtful and insightful suggestions on how to shift things around and keep things running smoothly. His calm and positive attitude helped *us* remain calm and positive. He even managed to help us avoid the brides mother who was being particularly difficult at times!

Hiring Marx Entertainment was easily one of the best choices that we made for our wedding. My sister-in-law hired Marx for her wedding, and we were so impressed that we contacted them afterward for our big day. It was immediately clear that they run a warm, professional operation. The communication from Mark and Gladys in the office was always superb- quick responses, accurate answers, and full of understanding. Additionally, their online planning tool was very easy to use and let us know that no detail was going to go forgotten.And the day of? Amazing! Jared was ready and prepared well before our ceremony commenced. He made certain that our ceremony ran smoothly by playing processional/recessional music and giving us the best microphone arrangement. During the reception, Jared was also great at keeping the event rolling. When I asked him to adjust the timing of first dance and cake cutting, he was understanding and on top of it. The playlist that he created using our song picks was incredible. Many of our guests let us know how much they liked his work. I used MARX Entertainment for my DJ and photo booth for my wedding in September and couldnt have been happier with their service! The DJ was amazing and kept the party going all night and the photo booth was such a hit! I just got back from my honeymoon and looked at the great scrap book they made of all the photos - such a great way to capture all the guests and see what a great time they had on our big day. Loved using the portal to customize what songs I really wanted to hear and the staff was so friendly and communicative. Very happy with their services and would definitely highly recommend :)

From start to finish, my experience with MARX entertainment was nothing short of phenomenal. My non-profit organization, Noho Pride (LGBTQIA+ group), was lucky enough to have MARX provide their time and services to help us put on an amazing prom event this fall. Not only was the communication seamless, but everyone that I worked with, from the owner himself (Mark, who was so incredibly kind), to the DJ and photo booth expert (shout out to DJ Chris) were absolutely stellar. Everyone arrived and set up in a timely fashion while still communicating and touching base when necessary throughout the evening. The music was great and DJ Chris did an amazing job reading the crowd and reacting to what type of songs to play to keep the fire lit. The photo booth was easy to use and having a physical photo strip for our guests to log a memory of the night was the perfect cap to a well-rounded night of professional and high quality service!

Ive used MARX Entertainment 3 times and each time our experience was OUTSTANDING! We hired MARX for their photo booth and music for parties at my restaurant - The Kitchen in Longmeadow, MA. We schedule an annual visit from Santa Claus in December where each child gets a photo with Santa while mom and dad have the option to upload the picture to social media. Also, we hosted a sweet 16 party with the photo booth and music. MARX provided props for fun pictures for all! The staff was creative and accommodating throughout the process. The staffs energy was terrific! I highly recommend MARX Entertainment for any gathering! 5 Stars!!

My wedding was this past weekend and our DJ was Jared. Throughout the entire planning process, Jared was easily accessible to answer any questions I had. The online planner MARX sends you to organize music selections is very user-friendly. It is broken out by Must Play songs, ceremony songs, parent dances, bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc. and you can enter songs and any details right in the planner. You go over all of this information with your DJ at a planning meeting to ensure a seamless night. DJ Jared was so personable and helped make our wedding a night we wont forget :) I highly recommend MARX Entertainment for their affordable prices, helpful and friendly staff and overall professionalism!

I was throwing a Holiday Party for my office and I wanted to do something a little different. I thought of a casino theme and hired Marx Entertainment. I wasnt sure what to expect, but we had a blast!!! Everyone in the office said it was the most fun theyve ever had at a Holiday Party! Everyone was so engaged playing the table games, they wouldnt leave to go to the bar to get more drinks, lol! Next time, Ill have to hire cocktail waitresses as well. From beginning to end everyone was amazing to deal with at Marx....setting up the event was easy, the dealers that ran the tables were awesome! I recommend Marx without hesitation!!!!

We used MARX Entertainment for my wedding last week. We hired them for a DJ and Photo Booth. DJ Jared was very attentive throughout the entire night and had no issues playing the music we requested as well as coordinating the activities throughout the night. He utilized three separate sound systems for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and made it all work flawlessly, including the use of uplighting during the reception. MARX Entertainment make it super easy with their website for online processing of payments in addition to our song selections. The photobooth attendants were very friendly and put together a fantastic photo book with all of the Photo Booth pictures and guests messages. We also were given a thumb drive to have a digital copy of all of the booth pictures.

Jared from MARX Entertainment was PHENOMENAL!! Our wedding was in Saugerties, NY and he was willing to drive all the way out for our night! From the moment we reached out to MARX, we knew we were in good hands! Jared was our point of contact leading up to the big day. He provided helpful hints and suggestions to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. One of my favorite parts about MARX services, is the fact that they send you a virtual DJ program where you can add song requests, see song suggestions, plan the timeline, etc. It was a easy way to keep everything organized, and a great way to communicate with the DJ during the planning process.On the day of the wedding, about 2 minutes before the reception began, Jared was flexible and allowed us to make two major changes before we kicked the night off! The dance floor was pretty much filled from 8pm-11pm when the wedding ended! Anyone looking for a quality DJ at a very affordable price -- should look no further than MARX Entertainment!

Jared was our wedding DJ and in addition to being incredible at his job, he was my favorite vendor out of all of the wedding professionals I worked with. This confidence was swelled dramatically when we had our detail meeting with Jared. He went over every small detail so that we could be sure the evening would run smoothly. The night of the wedding Jared was my go-to vendor when dinner ran behind schedule, he checked in periodically to make sure I could plan for the rest of the night to accomplish everything we had in the schedule. I cannot say enough about Jared except that hes a rockstar!

My wedding was in June 2017. I found Marx entertainment via wedding wire when trying to find a DJ for our wedding in Western Massachusetts. I CANNOT speak highly enough of this company. They were absolutely amazing---We worked with Tommy for about a year while planning and throughout the wedding day. From start to finish he was so reassuring, helpful, understanding, and always put my mind at ease despite a rather complicated family dynamic to work with and a bride and groom with very different musical tastes haha. When we started wedding planning, we were not sure we needed to hire a DJ - but we are so glad that we did! While we thought we could hand a playlist over to a friend, we were impressed by the expertise, experience, and skill that DJ Manu (Chris Maleko) brought to our reception.From our first meeting with him, DJ Manu seemed to understand the kind of vibe we wanted and what we were looking for. We told him that we didn’t really want an MC, but just needed him to play some great music. Boy did he deliver!Transitions were smooth, and he honored our requests while making sure there was a mix of songs that kept people of all ages on the dance floor the entire time. We have been to weddings where the couple is trying to get people back onto an empty dance floor - and that was never a problem for us! People had a great time the whole night, from 5-year-olds to my 92-year-old grandmother (and the mostly 20s crowd in between).We also had them play songs for the ceremony processional and recessional, and rented mics and speakers for the ceremony as well. Everything was set up wonderfully. We appreciated meeting with Manu in advance to talk about our preferences and what we wanted, and also appreciated Marx’s very clear online platform to list our song requests. We could easily enter what songs we wanted for the ceremony, what we wanted to play during the cocktail hour and songs we definitely wanted, would prefer, and would not want during dancing. It was helpful to know it was all written down in one place.We are so happy that we hired Marx entertainment to bring their equipment and the skills of DJ Manu to our wedding at the Montague Retreat Center in Montague, MA!

We have used Marx Entertainment for 3 bar/bat mitzvahs and have been thrilled with each party. Marx dancers really make the party! Fun, upbeat and with great music and MCing they keep the energy going. The green screen/photo booth was a hit with adults and kids. They are very experienced with keeping teens engaged and happy. Marx Entertainment exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding at the Log Cabin in Holyoke. We booked the package that included a DJ/MC, uplighting and a photo booth. A couple of words to describe their service: professional, communicative, uncomplicated and personable. Our DJ for the evening was DJ Tommy. He kept the dance floor rockin’ until 1:30AM. We had many European guests in attendance and he played a perfect mix of American, French and German music. All of our guests had nothing but compliments for his performance! In the run-up to the wedding, he was always available for questions, personal meet-ups or anything else we needed. The photo booth was also an amazing value for the cost. It included two attendants who were already completely set up by the time we arrived at the venue. Then when we left, they had prepared a full scrap book (and separate USB drive) containing notes from our guests, as well as all of the photos they had taken. All in all, it would be hard to deliver more than Marx and we highly recommend them to any of our friends and family hosting an event in the future.

MARX Entertainment was amazing! We were only a few weeks away from our event where we wanted to add gaming tables. The second I hopped on the website, a chat popped up and Nick was right there to answer any questions I had. Very quickly, he put together and sent me a proposal that not only sold me on the gaming tables, but also a custom print/background photobooth. Within days we were booked - handling everything online to make it an easy, seamless process. Nick even went so far to to somehow (incredibly) fit 6-7 different logos in a small space on the photobooth printouts and still make it look crisp and professional. Their crew arrived on time, were professional and fun! The tables were clean, nice quality and exactly what we wanted. The photobooth was manned, which was very helpful, and everyone had a great time. We cant wait to use them again!! Thanks MARX!

Jared was very laid back and helped us flush out not only the playlist of the evening, but the overall timeline of our wedding. The day of our event Jared arrived on time and walked me through the events of the day. His calm and clear direction helped me focus on the day and not worry about the minor details.From the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing no one had anything but praise for the music that was played at our wedding. The dance floor was full the entire night and people were sore the next day, so you could say it was a success.Since the wedding we actually had a guest ask for more information on the DJ looking to book him for their upcoming wedding.

Everything except the photobooth (a critical detail to pulling our wedding theme together) was executed perfectly. There was a big screw up with background selections and it wasnt properly handled in my honest opinion.12/28 To thoroughly address Marks note below - I am accurately describing our experience with Mark Ashe at Marx Entertainment, as I have done with EVERY vendor I worked with across review sites. This is not a sabotage on his company, just a formality of a bride and groom after a wedding for any vendor we worked with. His demeanor and accusatory tone in speaking badly of a former bride and groom who really tried to work out this situation BEFORE posting reviews is sickening. He even reported my husbands review (Frank) and mine via WeddingWire which would add even more negative reviews there, leading to us to have to prove to the site that we did do business with him (we didnt mind the extra steps we needed to take to verify our reviews in order to prevent the same thing from happening to another couple). Our reviews will be back up in approximately two weeks.In Marxs responses on these review sites, Marx also didnt mention how we praised our DJ, the uplighting, the actual photobooth operator, etc. and how we were very satisfied with those aspects - they strictly tried to take the focus off of their big photobooth background screw up by claiming a couple is out to get them. Would a couple who has publicly acknowledged really liking everything except what we felt was a big issue try to sabotage and hurt this company? No. Would that same couple also put praise out there if we were out to get them? No. We felt we were more than fair in trying to handle this and fair in our reviews, too. Even after the photobooth screw up, we felt there were many ways that Mark Ashe couldve handled this better and really wish that this couldve happened. Instead, we were left with no choice but to review our experience as we saw it.The photobooth did function, but was missing the ESSENTIAL background to pull our theme together - promised to us before even signing the contract. After a legal issue Marx was having, we told him that if we could not get that background, we DID NOT want the photobooth. He agreed. We thought the issue as worked out until his team showed up that day without it. We were not notified of this, they just showed up without it and opened it up to guests without us seeing it, giving us no opportunity to say No, we do not want this and in our opinion, forced to pay for a photobooth we wouldnt have had otherwise. He chalked it up to confusion on his end and for his employees being human. The first response we got from Mark didnt even really apologize for the screw up, nor did he offer a refund of any sort initially. He wrote: Im sad to hear you were disappointed with the Green Screen after all of the work that was put into it. And that was pretty much it. Because the photobooth shouldve been a big part of our wedding theme, it weighed heavily on our rating decisions.In the end, we were NOT refunded the amount for the photobooth that we wouldnt have used (as Mark knows) - just $100 was randomly refunded and sent over to our PayPal account, never touched by us. We never accepted anything.
