On August 5 I dropped off a yellow card to the East Haven post office to hold our mail from 8/7-8/15 notating I would pick up upon return. The post office worker I handed it to said “You’re all set.” I thanked him. August 16 at 8am I went to the post office to get my mail. The woman checked the shelf and said “it’s still on the truck, come back in the afternoon.”Well, I guess my mail is still riding around the town…. If I asked it to be held, then it should be in the building? Checked the mailbox yesterday and no mail. Called the EH post office number online and you get a muffled recording with overtones of a fax machine. I was able to get the 3 numbers on the recording- called each one with no answer. I also called the 800 number which is “linked” to EH post office with no help at all indicating delays due to CoVid. I was never emailed a confirmation number. I sent an email and received a response from Thomas Sullivan (?) indicating my case was given a number and it’s being looked into. Tomorrow I make yet another trip to the Post Office…..

Worst post office around! The older lady at the desk was trying to pick a fight with me before I even got to the counter! I hadnt even spoke a word to her yet. Spoke with other USPS employees and apparently this level of rudeness is a regular thing at this post office. Stay away even if it costs you 15 extra minutes to go to another post office!

One star is too much for this location, people who work there are SO RUDE and seem proud of it. Used to go to this post office, my town post office, but stopped going there after the last RUDE verbally abusive behavior from two female annoyed postal workers, and that was in 2016. I gladly drive out of my way and further away not to have to be treated like Im an annoyance. Im not looking for an argument, just want to mail my stuff. Go at your own risk.

I wondered how could a USPS office have such a low rating. Its just about mailing things, short-lived businesses, right? But wow. Not even responding to a simple good morning early on a cold Christmas morning? Treating a simple flat envelope as a customs package with a special form to end up changing her mind? An African-american clerk reserving her nice smiles and conversation only for white customers? I left speechless on 12/23/2019.

One star is even too much for the horrible service they provide. The employees are very rude. I called to talk to the supervisor, but no-one answers. While I was searching for the number, I saw the low rating. How can a postal office have such a low review. Does anyone check this?

I visit this post office regularly and find them generally efficient and somewhat friendly depending on who waits on you. I can’t say I have had any bad experiences with the staff.

COD Money order lost in transit, out of $200. They could easily send out a new one as it’s their responsibility for accepting the cash, but have been giving me the run around! It clearly was never delivered!!! Put yourself in the position of the customer, this is really unfortunate!!!!!

No one answers the phone at this location!!! No matter how much time you call or at whatever time you call. It can be first thing as they open, whatever reason they dont answer the phone! Im guess the number is only for making out going calls because nobody there answer the income calls!!!

Worst place ever. Waited 20 minutes for them to cash a USPS money order but they couldnt because their system was down. Waited another 40 minutes to see if it would come back up. Nope. The kicker? They sold 5 money orders while I was there. Smdh.

I took a gamble. Three reviews, averaging 1.7 stars. However, I had a very pleasant experience and felt it important to share. In and out in 2 minutes, thats a win.

In total, I have been expecting four packages over the past month. Only one has gotten to me, despite ALL of these packages having a status of “delivered.” Submitting a form for missing packages doesn’t seem to do much, either, as I still haven’t gotten anything. Where is my money & mail going??

The workers at this branch are poor attitude on 9/10 times you come in the lines can be exceesive n there is only one teller at any given point, one guy stands talking to people he knows while the line builds up behind them and he doesnt care or move any faster despite a line out the door. There is afew newer people at the counter lately and they are much nicer to deal with, but besides one the others seem like they are just there for training

Drivers claimed to have attempted to deliver a package when actually never even tried. Waited 2 days for a package sent for overnight and now i have to wait until Jan 2... which would make it 5 days.. worst post office !!

Im supposed to get a package today and never got it. Where is it????

Slow and rude workers with a push me Im coming attitude.

Average store size good service.

Excessive line. 1 teller. Rude, no desire to assist. Will not be back.
