DO NOT DEAL WITH CAROLYN PARKER. Poor customer service.I am a newbie to the city, I was so excited to select and support a woman of color in Atlanta. I had heard so much about Atlanta being the place for Black professionals. Needless to say, I am disappointed... we gotta get it together ATLANTA. This person (Carolyn Parker) sent one email and never followed up. Never. I uploaded all of my documents, and I called and emailed her several times. I finally sent a message stating I am at a loss here... can you at a minimum file an extension? NO response. I called and spoke to Carolyns supervisor and he tried to make excuses for her. Even HE didnt get back with me. I would not recommend Carolyn, and now having escalated to the branch management with no response I would not recommend dealing with this branch on Ashford Dunwoody Road. My taxes arent complicated, and clearly they arent capable of working with someone who has personal and business taxes. But to be clear, even if the competency level is there, the lack of professionalism follow -through and competency doesnt make up for it.Its not hard to respond. Its not hard to follow up. Or take your name off of the list and say you arent available for new clients. But just like an old raggedy hair salon, they load up on clients and we sit there all day. I have waited over a FULL MONTH and taxes are due in 6 days. Moving on!!

I have used H & R Block for years. This was my first time in this office. Linda Pate filed my taxes for 2019. I knew I would have to pay taxes, but after she entered the data she insisted I would not have to pay. I had her enter the information again and she said I would not have to pay taxes. I requested she talk to the office manager and she came back and said I would not have to pay.... I told her to make sure the IRS understood how she came to that conclusion. I paid and left. In January of 2021 I received a bill from the IRS for $1,585. I did follow up calls to Linda and the office manager Trevor and neither one of them have returned my calls. I can’t get an explanation of how this happened. Their 100% guarantee means nothing. I hope this company is Audited and someone can give me an explanation. ( Linda took my 2019 tax folder with all the paperwork and never returned it to me) I had to drive over to the office to pick up a copy) this place is not recommended....

Linda Pate has been doing my taxes for 3 years. I am extremely happy with her professionalism and efficiency.

I submitted my small business taxes to Charles Watson at the H&R Block at 4768 Ashford Dunwoody Rd at 2p on March 12th, 2021. As of today on June 5th, 2021, he told me over the phone that he hasn’t gotten started on them. The male receptionist that I’d booked with at the outset intentionally withheld useful information that I’d learned about from a different office, and admitted it once I noted the omission.Mr. Watson was unapologetic about discarding my submission and was audibly excited to recommend that I find another accountant. I called to follow up with him on April 22nd and then on May 18th. On the 22nd, he hadn’t started my file. On May 18th, he told me to give him my credit card information for a fee that he was charging for his not having initiated my filings by then. He said he’d need three to four weeks to get it in. I followed up again via phone on June 5th. He said he was going on an 8-week sabbatical in July and wasn’t going to promise that my March 12th documentation would filed by that point, either. His comment was that he didn’t recall what we discussed, that they were understaffed, and that he chose not to prioritize my file.

I filed my taxes with H&R Block last week. Linda Pate assisted me with the filing.1. H&R Block claims to have free consultation but Linda asked me to pay 50$ although I was not happy with the way she filled my details.She did not explain me the tax filing process at all even after I told her that Im a first timer to H&R block.I would not go there again for two reasons. Few of the employees dont seem to be knowledgeable. Second, they dont know how to welcome first timers.

The service was outstanding. Linda Pate, my tax advisor, was very professional and met my preparation needs with outstanding expertise.

My Tax preparer was highly organized clean and efficient and worked pretty darn quick and was great at explaining what the lines that applied to me on my return meant.

Carolyn Parker has done my taxes for the last 12 years shes great.

Try only reason I have rated 5 star to H&R Block is their professionalism, behavior. Honestly I am amazed, I did my first time tax filing from here and they arranged everything.Thank you team.

The reason why gave the score is because quite honestly it was earned. Most people hate filling out surveys because I dont think the level of service and the value that they received is worthy of wasting their time with the summary. But every now and then you get exceptions to the rule and Brian Thompson is a great H&R Block manager. He is even smarter because he placed me in the hands of Gertrude (TRUDY) McGovern a senior CPA at his branch Was without question the smartest and most enjoyable tax representative Ive ever worked with at H&R Block. THANK YOU TRUDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian Thompson was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! He was knowledgeable about my past, present and future taxes!!!! Absolutely fantastic and patient as he explained how to maximize my refunds in the future!

The professional of my tax preparer exceeded my expectations.

So when i first spoke to them yes they were trying to be helpful. But after doing my research they told me i owed 900 plus to the IRS but when talking to them they said i dont owe. So i went ahead and did my own taxes. But today William schuh had the nerve to contact me telling me that i waisted there time and he began to argue with me when i told him that i didnt my own. I never knew such a business allowed their workers to contact the customers to argue. This makes me want to never come back to H and R block. But i will be making a visit down to the office soon we can talk about the rest in person.

The main reason (and only reason) is Trudy McGovern, a true professional.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I was unable to do my taxes with AARP at the Dunwoody Public Library. However, the service at H&R Block was absolutely excellent !!

We really like the way Kim Yung treats us. My daughter and I always come together and Kim serves us both and does a great job. Always, she is able to answer any question we throw at her and is very efficient. Thank you, Kim. Been coming to Kim for years and will in the future - there is noone better in our opinion.

The personal service given by Pete Geraci is the reason I return to him every year. He is wonderful to work with: patient, positive, expert, understanding, and very professional.

Pete was very nice and got me the most money back that he could! He was running late but the receptionist let me know so I just left my materials and went home. I picked them up the same day. Ill be going back next year :)

I just got off the phone with Kim Young and she was so incredible rude. Not only did she call me 45 mins later than our scheduled appointment, but she HUNG UP the phone on me! I am still in shock. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The agent we worked with was not very friendly or socialable. When we returned to meet with the tax agent (Kim Young) at our previously scheduled time, Kim did not greet me with a smile or hand-shake. When she looked at me, she looked as if she had never met me before and did not know why I was there. At this meeting, we were to go over the completed taxes. We brought an IRS document (1099) that we had just recently received and asked Kim to add it to our tax return. Kims response was that since the amount was so small and would only have a minor impact on our taxes, that we shouldnt worry about it. We asked her again to include it and she said the same thing that it wasnt worth adding. She suggested that if we get audited, then we can add it at that time. My wife and I were very uncomfortable with her approach. We felt as paying customers and law abiding citizens that she should have added the document no matter how small the impact or how much additional effort it would have taken

Worst experience ever with Charles Watson, still waiting for 3 missing tax files that he asked for to make a complaint that other from HRBLOCK did not file our 2014 State Tax , he was supposed to fix it in more than a year not doing nothing and here we are paying even interest to the state tax for these negligent people and using even our peace of mind insurance. 🤤😡

I was told my taxes would be done in 1 week and it took me calling 3 times after the 1 week to actually get them done. Little did I know when the agent called me and said they were done and filed they are not. Thank god, I went by there today to pick up my taxes and found out that they actually weren’t filed even though my Cc was on file. By the way, I had an appointment and had to wait 20 minutes because he took a walk in while I was sitting in the waiting room.

It is quick and easy for me to trust H&R Block.

The individual doing the return was incredibly low energy and missed several obvious things (like me being married and filing jointly, that he needed to add both our tax payer pins, etc.). Additionally I received an estimate for $420, which ended missing by over 50%. Never again.

Because the visit was more than my return. The advertisement says 50$. Not 150$.
