I had an initial appointment there to get a plan set for upcoming dental work and everyone I spoke to was very nice. Tanya the hygienist was super nice and gentle and Dr. Boles was also super friendly and answered all my questions.Both explained what they were doing and all future work that had to be done thoroughly. Cant say Im looking forward to all my dental work ;) but at least itll be with nice and caring staff!

Having difficulty getting my x-rays from the practice. Coast is claiming systems problems lasting several days. Not a good sign.

Worst Dental office. I scheduled an appointment around a month ago and one day prior to my appointment I get a call saying that I don’t have an appointment scheduled.While I’ve been getting emails reminding me of my upcoming appointment to confirm. And I even confirmed it twice. I spoke to two people one of them told me I’m not even in their schedule at all. And then the second person i spoke to told me there was actually no available dentist that’s why my appointment got canceled. Seriously how can you cancel an appointment without prior notice the day before!.This is very inconvenient and unacceptable. I have Braces and I had to coordinate and arrange between my schedule to be able to remove my wires to get my cleaning done. And now I got no cleaning and I had been without my wires for about a week which really interrupts my Ortho treatment! Thanks alot.

Honestly Im not one for the dentist, been having issues with my teeth, I was referred by a friend to try Coast Dental, I made the appointment with the dentist.I arrived at the office was made completely comfortable by receptionist, then took me back for X-rays then brought to to a exam room, I meet the Dr. Boles she introduced herself to me. She went on to explain my procedure. I was relaxed through out my procedureI would recommend Coast Dental to everyone I knowI give Dr. Boles and staff a THUMBS UP

The staff are super nice. Communication with their call center is horrible. When you call the number to the office you go to, but never get the actual office, it should be policy for them to tell you that they are in a call center, not the actual office you called. Extremely frustrating to call and speak with someone who has no idea what your talking about.UPDATE: if you do get the call center and you didnt get the help you need, can dial zero and it will send the call to the office you intended to call in the first place.

Called to make an appointment, received one two weeks out, as expected for a new patient. Appointment was set for Mon the 19th. Received a call at 4 pm on Friday the 16th stating the office my appointment is assigned to does not have a dentist and that the office I needed to be at needed insurance approval.Same company, different office why the insurance approval??? Called my husbands insurance, obviously last minute. Thank goodness I had a awesome representative. Had everything switched and office was still not able to get the paperwork in time. WHO WAITS UNTIL 4pm ON A FRIDAY to call about these issues when the appointment is that Monday?? Its the practice responsibility to update with the insurance companies what office has a dentist or not. Why take patients or have a office listed if there is no Dr thats at a particular office??? If it’s the same company why am I dealing with the insurance company?? Then the man tells my husband,” oh well thats what happens sometimes.” WHAT???!!!!Totally unprofessional and rude. Don’t bother with Coastal Dental. I wouldn’t of given a star at all but I had to to write the review. With the amount of money people have to pay to even get dental services (even with insurance) wasting my time is not a list when choosing a provider. Dentist may be great but their team is loosing them patience by their incompetence.

Unlike many of the reviewers here, my experience wasnt as good. I think it is worthwhile to post mine so readers can get the benefit of a contrary point of view.Due to the pandemic and other issues, money has been tight for me over the last several years and I have delayed going to the dentist for a cleaning. Generally, I have been very good, both in my at home dental hygine and in getting my teeth cleaned regularly. I know I need a cleaning but my teeth are fine. I have no pain. My gums arent bleeding. I lost a tooth several years ago and I know I need an implant BUT IM FINE.Finally, I made an appointment with this office. The last time I had a cleaning, the dentist did full x-rays, an exam in addition to the cleaning and the bill came to around $90. Today, with time between cleanings about the same, this office proposed I spend almost $400 for just this visit and almost $160 on another treatment plan, which I didnt quite understand.I know my teeth arent perfect but this seemed crazy to me and was much more than I had planned to spend -- more than I had available to spend. I said, Not today. Lets just do a regular cleaning.And they REFUSED. If I wouldnt do what they wanted they wouldnt do anything at all. And so a good part of my day was wasted and I still must find a dentist who will actually clean my teeth. Im sure they have some rationale for this policy but it seems insane to me. Clean my teeth!Unfortunately, dentistry, over the years, has become more like aluminum siding sales than medical care. It seems every dentist has a whole routine we must go though before we can get out the door where they attempt to sell and resell us more and more procedures. Fair enough, I guess, although I keep expecting them to ask if I also want new windows.$560, take it or leave it? For a CLEANING?And this will somehow help me stay healthy? Sending me away without any treatment?No. Not me.

This place is the most wonderful place to have dental work she makes it so affordable everyone that works there makes you feel like family the dentist told me she doesnt care how many times I had to come back she said as many times till I am 100% Happy and she got it perfect the first time I have never been so happy in a my to life to have my perfect smile just be in time for my birthday I highly recommend this dentist and staff you wont find a better one I promise you

It was my first visit and I didn’t even get through the door when the two ladies in the front office barked at me that I couldn’t have a child in there. I said good morning and the two ladies were extremely rude. My son was wearing his mask, he didn’t even move from my side, they didn’t even ask if I wanted to reschedule, I notified that he was going to be with me during that appointment, I wasn’t told I couldn’t bring him. I left because I was so upset, I called the office to report this incident and María lady hung up on my call. I’ve never been treated this way. They don’t deserve not even half a star.It was an emergency appointment because I’m in pain on my left side, thank you so much! Now I have to wait for another appointment at another location in pain because everything is fully booked!

Ive never gone to a chain dental clinic, but this was on my insurance plan & around the corner from where I live. They were fantastic...everyone in the practice was pleasant, kind, professional. I was really nervous about my procedure & the doctor was patient & just great! Im really glad I tried them out. Ill definitely return & now I feel berry comfortable taking my kids there as well.

I went to get my bi yearly teethe cleaning that my insurance pays for. They did not clean my teethe. They said it would cost more. They gave me a bill for over 600.00. They are over charging.

I first contacted this place because they were on my providers list from my insurance. After getting there they told me I didnt have dental, okay. They offered me a coupon which was really nice and I appreciate that. I had my second visit for an exam/x-rays. I go there, sign in and begin waiting as the receptionist told me it would be a few minutes. 30 minutes later I asked when I was expected to go in and they told me they cant help me and I need to reschedule. I wasted over an hour of my day off to be up here for absolutely nothing. Unacceptable, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary.

Great place! They make you feel comfortable and work to assist with payment options and recommending the proper services needed. I feel they truly care about you getting all the help you need. The people in the office are great. I will continue to come here for my dental needs. I strongly recommend.

Be prepared for the upsell and extra out of pocket charges.I am very disappointed by my first visit to Coast Dental in Dunedin. My wife went last week for her visit, and was upsold treatment. That was the 1st red flag.When I was brought back, I was told there were extra charges ($10 for PPE and $23 for X-ray) not covered under insurance.The dentist was not able to explain why $10 for PPE other than it is a Corporate Pandemic Charge because they have to wear masks. Really? My previous dentist and hygienist always wore masks - pre-pandemic.When I asked if I could skip the extra X-ray, and just do the one that my insurance covers they told me no, they could not do that. The extra X-ray shows the bone and other stuff the dentist needs to see. She could not perform the exam without the extra.This place is a scam and will milk you for more. I cant speak to the service, but the ethics are completely driven by $. Not sure if this is true of all Coast Dental businesses, but this one is unabashedly after as much money as they can get out of each patient. It is not the money that bothers me, it is the principals of their practice and inability to offer what they should to their patients without extra non-insured fees.Check reviews on yelp.I called the customer/quality support line and no one answers. I left a message and no call back. My insurance company is now opening a formal complaint on my behalf for deceptive practices.

I brought my Dad today for his initial appointment and Im truly without words as I witness the unprofessionalism at the front desk of this office. The receptionist is not only rude she says things like Jesus Christ when hanging up the phone and heckling other patients as they leave the facility! As a former administrator of a large medical practice Im flabbergasted that this would be acceptable. I just hope and pray the staff handling my Dads dental care supersedes my expectations!

The staff are always very friendly, kind, and flexible when it comes to scheduling. They seek to know you on a personal level, they have quality dental care, and affordable insurance prices. I have been coming to the Coast Dental Caladesi location for over 10 years. Some staff have come and gone but the standard of care, professionalism, and the friendliness have always held a high pedestal.

Have been using this Coast Dental practice for several years now and continue to be very pleased with all aspects of their services from scheduling, billing and of course, the dental services Ive received. Christina is a terrific and very talented hygienist who makes my visits really comfortable.

They were super accommodating and fit me in for things that weren’t even scheduled. Customer service was amazing too. They went above and beyond to make sure that I could get my new retainer before leaving the state in a couple weeks. Definitely recommend.

Barbara, my hygienist, was meticulous and did not rush through my cleaning. It felt like she went above and beyond, but wouldn’t be shocked if she treated everyone in such a manner. Jennifer the office manager is always such a pleasure as well! I am very happy with the service I received today!

She was gentle, quick, informative, and thorough. Lucy as her side kick was also great. Jen, Office Manager has always been aces high in my book. Ive had mixed experiences with Dental Offices since coming to Florida in 2011. Today, by far was my best experience.Congrats Coast Dental on having a great team!

After moving here from Fort Lauderdale, and my daughter did not like the dentist due to previous dentist. I made a call to coast dental with Dr. Boles and from there very first visit my daughter will not see any other dentist. I made them aware before I made the appointment and the staff knew exactly what to do. I would definitely recommend her. Then she moved to the Dunedin office and now we drive to her. Christina is a huge help when you call the office.

Was emergency visit. Got me in quick and on super short notice. Which was great. Had an appointment 30 min after calling with no prior appointment. Would recommend it as a good place to go if you have a dental emergency and safe guard insurance.

I havent had an experience like this ever before by a dentist. No question left unanswered, no worry gone unsolved. Everything is perfect by far. The team is nice and friendly and I feel like I am actually a customer and not just a living dollar like by others.UPDATE (4/21/21) Have had braces repair done by them in 2020, now they broke and they are stating they dont do braces. Cant get other orthodontists to do anything either because it was not their work. Dont remember the head dentists name who repaired my braces in 2020, but remember what she looks like. She still works there as of writing.

This office is great! I just moved here and was looking for a new dentist office and spoke with Kalie the receptionist and she was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I was able to get in right away and had a very welcoming feeling.

Dr. Boles, Christina and Samantha were all amazing. Went in for a cleaning and to have them look at an injured tooth. Eased my anxiety about the procedures I needed and got everything taken care of very quickly. Never waited longer than 5 minutes each time in the waiting room as well.

I had a cleaning with hygienist Ali P who was very nice and professional. He took his time to explain his treatment and answered any questions I had. Ali made sure to avoid a sensitive area in my tooth that had root exposure, saving me from experiencing a lot of pain. The cleaning was pain free which is not the usual when getting my teeth cleaned by other hygienists. Im looking forward to my next cleaning in 6 months.

Great Dental office! Ive had great experiences here at Coast Dental in Dunedin. I really appreciate the friendliness of the desk staff. Jennifer has been so sweet and informative every time I go. I have not been to the dentist in over 8 years, so I needed a lot of work. They were so incredibly patient with my nervous self and very gentle! I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. I thank them so much for helping me get over my fears.

Over the 2.5 years Ive lived in this area, I visited 3 dentist offices. Coast Dental of Dunedin is the only one Id recommend. Their staff and technicians are so attentive and knowledgeable and highly skilled in assessing dental needs. Also, their prices tend to be lower after insurance, where another office charged me almost double for an identical procedure--after insurance. The group at Coast Dental Dunedin is trustworthy and fair and they welcome you like a good neighbor!

The front staff was extremely nice when I walked in and very helpful but my main reason for the 5 stars was Barbara the dental hygienist she is AMAZING!!! I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a good caring place. Plus my teeth feel amazing.

The team at Coast Dental has been absolutely amazing through the process of providing my handicapped father in law with new dentures. They have been extremely accommodating with the scheduling to fit our needs as my wife and I both work full time and he lives in a nursing home in a different city, they really put in the extra effort to make it work. Also, with him being in a wheelchair and on oxygen it has added an extra degree of difficulty to the process, but they have made it seamless and put a huge emphasis on his comfort level throughout the process. Thanks again for treating us like family, we highly recommend your office and staff- Andy, Lucy, Amy & Dr Sophia you guys are the best.

My first visit to Coast Dental was great. The staff got me in right on schedule and comfortably got me through all the phases with very little delay (even though they seemed full that day.) Carly was very gentle and sincere during and after my procedures. She clearly explained things and was very professional. The hygienist and doctor were also very friendly and got me through without a lot of unnecessary waiting. Ill go back for sure.

Been following Dr. Boles for 3 years. She moved from Port Richey to Dunedin, and I have no qualms traveling to see her. She does great work and I trust her completely. The staff is very friendly and helpful!

My worst dental experience ever! After a dentist recommended two crown in the opposite sides of the mouth, the nightmares began. First, he reduced one of the teeth so much that it became impossible to put a crown on it. Next, the temporary crowns were not properly leveled and my whole jaw started hurting. The short tooth temp crown kept falling off and I was in constant pain. Another dentist stepped in to fix the damage without success. In a matter of a couple weeks I added needing a tooth elongation surgery and three tooth canals. I developed anxiety attacks with heart attack symptoms - need up in ER for it. The crown on the short tooth fell and I swallowed it; a replacement was never put in although I paid for two crowns. I have been trying to gem my money back with no luck. The office doesn’t reply and is ignorant about the pain, suffering they caused and the money I had to spent to fix the damage they created. They seems to recommend crowns a lot so please get a second opinion if have the misfortune to be treated by this office.

I had an amazing experience! They opened the doors early for me to accommodate my time! Best dental office.

I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and needed to get a tooth pulled before treatment. I came to have that done and signed an agreement to pay a total of $353 if my insurance did not cover any of my procedure. Signing this shows that we both agree of the charges owed. Then I get a bill in the mail stating the total of the procedure was $390. In which my insurance did not cover everything. I was willing to pay the difference of the amount on my sheet vs. the amount my insurance paid but the additional $37 was ridiculous. I spoke with Jennifer the office manager and she was rude and uncaring. Its a shame to lose a customer over $37 considering I have spent over $5000 in dental work out of pocket over the last year and a half.

I have sensitive teeth and did not have the usual silent tears rolling down my face during the cleaning (hahaha). They are very patient and answered all of my 8 thousand questions.

Coast Dental has been my dental practice for ten years. They accept lots of insurance and discount plans, and have always been able to meet my dental needs. Dr. Boles and Patient Coordinator Samantha are amazing! I asked them NEVER to leave Coast Dental since my experience with them has always been so positive.
