Clinton showed up on a Sunday night and immediately identified the issue with our upstairs unit. There was standing water in the drainage pan which meant there was a clog in the line and perhaps a leak in the unit. He cleaned the line, and found the leak, which unfortunately is in the evaporator coils. So, well have to be getting an estimate for a new unit upstairs, but he was of great service. The installer came by to check out a couple of problems and provided a very professional and quote and explanation about what needs to be done. McCarthy Air Conditioning Cooling Company saved me! They were great at working on installing my HVAC system. They were efficient, clean, prompt and very approachable. I definitely recommend this group of guys. They live up to their reputation!

I called McCarthy and set up an appointment acknowledging there would be a $120 service fee. When the repairmen showed up they were wearing shirts for The Right Sevice A/C Installation and repair. The reason I select McCarthy was because of their reviews and theyre local. I informed the repairmen that the drain needed to be cleared. They looked at the unit and agreed and the told me it would be $299. I felt stuck since I had $120 already invested. The work took less than 30 minutes. Then I was told if I paid by credit card I would be charged tax. Ive never heard of such on repairs and service. Again felt stuck and wrote a check. I feel that when you call a compamy they should tell you in advance that they are sending another company out to fo the work. Also let client know you prefer checks, and that there are additional fees for credit cards. Also, drain cleaning serms pretty straightforward and the charge for that seems very high to me. I have nothing negative to say about the repairmen. I just felt stuck and that I over paid for a simple service.
