Did unnecessary repair. Put distributor in wrong then told unbelievable lie to cover himself.should find himself another line of work. Had to go to another place to get fixed.

ABSOLUTELY would recommend Dave’s.I had a break down at 16:00 on a Sunday evening on the East end of Duluth. Being from Minneapolis and not knowing the ins and outs of Duluth, I was subject to whatever this crew was going to suggest.The short story is I ended up needing a serpentine belt. While we were unloading the van and I was beginning to plan my spur of the moment overnighted, arrangements were made (without ever asking me) to have an off-duty mechanic procure parts for the repair and come directly to the shop to get the work done.I’ve been in retail for more than twenty years. What happened in this instance is exceptional customer service. All of the involved parties when above and beyond. Their efforts saved me a night in Duluth and got me back to Minneapolis without worry.Nobody had to do what they did, but this place went above and beyond...on a summer Sunday evening even!Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

They were great! I brought my car in to get ball joints, tierod ends, exhaust, and an oil change. They had it done by 330. The cost was right in my budget also. The staff was friendly with a great sense of humor. Ill be bringing my car and my wifes vehicle in to them anytime I need work done. Great job!

They have always taken great care of me and my car and have been able to fix most of my automotive needs , this is one of the few shops left in business ( as auto mechanics) where they are honest enough to say it themselves if there is an issue with your car/truck that they are unable to diagnose and fix . They will not just keep running the bill up on you , theyll advise you to see a dealership instead of picking your pocket like most other shops would do ! Its the honesty from Daves Automotive that I find to be priceless .

Daves towing was dispatched by my insurance company to change a flat tire on my RV. There was clear communication to Daves that this was a Recreational Vehicle as it showed on the technicians mobile device. The technician showed up in a passenger vehicle with no jack or tools. He said he could change the tire, but would have to go back to the shop to get a jack, etc. and was not allowed to do so due to other pending work orders. I called the shop and was treated rudely and told I would have to call another service provider (which I did and was OUTSTANDING). I would not recommend based on my experience. As a result of the delay in having to wait for the second provider, I lost over $120 in prepaid event fees.

Driver was nice and very quick. The repairs to my vehicle were not complete and I had to go a 2nd mechanic to actually finish the repair and added to my total bill. I would most definitely not recommend this repair facility to any one.

Stuck on side of road with no heat with two young children in sub freezing temps; after multiple attenpts to contact them, this towing company finally answered and told us it would be 30 min. They knew we had young children in freezing temps but took over 2.5 hours without contacting us about the delay. They did eventually tow our vehicle with no issues and reasonable charge.

Called triple a to get my car home to my designated parking spot. They had room in the alley to turn and get it in. They decided they weren’t going to do it regardless if that was the only spot my car could legally sit. They parked a non operational car on the street, where the car would have to be moved every day and to the opposite side of street every other weekend. I called Dave’s towing to speak to the manager or owner. The guy treated me like some little girl who wasn’t a paying customer. Told me to stop with the “attitude”, when I was upset because they couldn’t deliver on a service they were getting paid to do. Very rude and would not recommend if you need something other than a long flat bed or in general. He told me, a customer, that they had other calls and had no time to help me. They didn’t want to help me and the guy on the phone kept saying to not interrupt him. They weren’t going to call anyone else to come help me and said they wouldn’t do a single thing about it.

They are the most honest and reasonable place to have your car fixed. I would recommend them to anyone. Very pleasant to work with.

They had my truck for over a week, had to call them to find out what the heck was going on, they didn’t call me. Told me they didn’t have the right tools to fix it and that I had to have it towed to a dealership. Then they charged for $50. Big let down. Waste of time and $50. What a joke.

Next time Ill tell my insurance company to go with cars towing always friendly and on time

These people are just amazing. Our van broke down and we managed to limp it in to them. We didnt have them fix it because it would be covered by warranty but they diagnosed the problem, helped keep our toddler entertained as we talked with the dealership to set up arrangements and gave us a loaner vehicle for the night. Like I said these people went out of their way to help us out in our time of stress and need we are very indebted to them.

Daves Automotive has helped me with a few different auto repairs. They get me in quickly, are fair on price, and give honest answers.

Daves towing, they had to come out and get my car. Got the Eta of 45 minutes from the main office. A few minutes later, got a call from the driver saying that he would be there in 10 minutes. He got there in about 10 minutes, just like he said. He confirmed my thoughts that I had broken a cv axel. He even got my car unstuck, and let me try driving the car and thats when I realized that the cv axel was indeed broken. He towed it from their to another place that I had work on my car. I only had a different place work on it because it was my first time going through Daves towing, and I was not familiar with them. The other place I have had work on my car before and was more familiar with. Although, Daves towing definitely did a good job with the tow. The driver was also knowledgeable about the damages, and he knew right away what was broken on my car. I might also add that the other place that worked on my car, they also confirmed that it was the cv axel just like the driver said. 5/5

Daves offers some of the best service Ive ever experienced from an automotive comany. The staff is all friendly and goes out of their way to provide the best deal availible. They will not cheat you on parts or labor. Daves is the best deal in town.

Was supposed to receive service through triple A. I called triple a to call and get an eta and they told triple a 30 minutes, so 45 minutes later I called them directly and they told me any minute, 30 minutes later from that I was told the driver was 20 minutes away, how reliable that time was, I have no clue, but I called him to tell him I was upset and he cancelled my service after wairing over an hour and a half in the cold weather of Minnesota. They are being removed from triple Abas an operator.
