Went here today believing I was going to a retail location that might have a sewing machine my wife had been considering buying in stock. What my wife and I found was a whole lot more.We met Angela, who spent more than an hour with my wife going over different types of hardware(sewing and embroidery machines) and taking the time to show us how they work. She was extremely knowledgeable about her craft, and extremely patient in answering every question we had including offering one one one lessons for any machine they provide.Thank you so much for a great overall experience!

First time buying an embroidery machine and Miss Becky made me feel confident with my purchase. Take your machine home, work with it and come back with all your questions for a personal one-on-one lesson. They will also service your machine afterwards. This was a feel-good experience, and if you are considering a sewing machine - this is the place to go.

I have purchased two Husqvarna Vikings from Discover Sewing within the past 10 years and got a great deal on Both of them. And received Training! They have fair pricing on their accessories and most always have sales on their merchandise. Go check them out!

I love this place the people are top notch. I love my new Pfaff. My only wish is that they were able to be flexible with Saturday or evening classes for those of us who work full time-particularly the quilt of the month club.

I’ve bought my embroidery machine here and was very happy with how Linda listened to what I wanted, no awful sales pitch! I love my Jade35 and on the long run I’ll upgrade to a bigger machine. I’ve enjoyed several classes and events and like how Bonnie and her team care about their customers, no matter if you buy a new machine every year or not! They are also very helpful answering questions.

I have been doing business with Discover Sewing for 11 years and have been very happy with their products and service. All the ladies who work there are very knowledgeable about their machines and if they dont have the answer they get it for you. They will work with you, your needs and your budget to get you just the right machine. When my adult daughter purchased her first machine from them they helped her choose an entry level machine and explained what features came with each price level. They did the same for my good friend who is an accomplished sewist. They let them try the machines so they could judge for themselves what they wanted. They have a great variety of demo machines which is amazing in todays order it online world. That combined with their friendly, personalized and knowledgeable service made them my go to sewing machine store.I have had my machines serviced and repaired through them and have been happy with the with the work. It does take time but its done right.

When my 30-year-old Viking stopped working in the middle of a Christmas gift I was making, I made my way to Discover Sewing located in Sandy Springs, which I never knew was there. My machine was DOA and couldnt be revived, as parts are no longer available, so the staff guided me in my purchase of a new Viking Topaz, and serger! Since then, I have participated in four classes on the machines and sample projects. I highly recommend these folks!

Really wonderful place to shop for all your sewing, embroidery, quilting, scan n cut needs. Awesome place to purchase machines. I know firsthand because I have bought a couple there. They offer new owner classes for machines you purchase as well as many other classes and events from Floriani, Aintagoods , Pickle Pie to name a few. If you have a problem or question the associates are more than willing to help you. All are very knowledgeable about the products they carry. They are far more than sales associates at a store, they are family.

Discover Sewing is my go to Sewing/Embroidery shop. The staff is incredibly friendly. All of them are so nice and actually follow my projects online and take an interest in what I am up to. Every time I come up they compliment me on what I’ve completed lately and that is just an added effort that speaks volumes about the people that run this place. Linda is like my 2nd mom. Such a warm and welcoming person. Not to mention Linda and everyone else has a vast wealth of knowledge on anything and everything you could want to know about sewing and embroidery. They know so much because they aren’t just hourly employees trying to get through the day. They are professional embroiderers and sewers and they’ve been doing it for years and years, so if you’ve got a question, they can answer it. Believe that. This place also has the best equipment in town. Forget Joann’s. Yeah....they’ve got their place, but Discover Sewing is really a step above. They have the best sewing machines, the best embroidery designs, and the best accessories and thread in town. Period. So anyway, don’t hesitate to go check them out. I promise you wont be disappointed. I am incredibly lucky to have such an awesome shop so close to home. Oh and don’t forget to check out their classes. They give free classes if you buy a machine from them, and trust me when I say that with the wealth of experience and knowledge....they could be charging a pretty penny for these classes. Excellent people, the best products, such a friendly atmosphere. Go give them a visit.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!I dropped off my PE770 and waited for over a week with no updates. After I called several times I was told that their tech has not yet looked at it. Then on Monday I called again and was told that its ready for pickup. When I went to get it, I asked what they did to it and was told again that their tech has left no note and that I need to call tomorrow to see if there is any update. Excited to get back to embroidery, I get the machine all hooked up only to discover that it still does not work! They havent even looked at it yet alone tried to fix it! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! Customer service is a joke! Reporting this SCAM company to Brother, they should not be in business of repairing their brand equipment.

Welp, this is a review that I had hoped I wouldnt have to write... Things started off so well and I was very, very much looking forward to a long, fruitful relationship with Discover Sewing. As a Brother authorized service center I felt confident in taking my machine in for service and repair. 3 months later the endeavor has ended with me requiring a liaison from Brother to even procure information about the status of my repair.Let me shove my disappointment aside momentarily to share the details. On APRIL 19 I dropped my machine off for service. I highly suspected it needed repair, as well, and the clerk assured me I would be contacted promptly with details. I had just recently purchased the machine (used) and I was prepared to put some cash into it to restore it to proper working order.Several WEEKS passed and I never heard a peep. Finally I call the shop to be told that my machine did, as I suspected, need repairs but the part was on backorder. Okey dokey... was anyone going to call and tell me? I was asked to authorize an additional charge (on top of the $150 service fee) for the repair, which I immediately authorized. I was assured by the tech that the part would be in soon and I would be contacted.Several MORE WEEKS passed and still not a peep. I call the shop again, part still on backorder, no idea when itll be in. The tech assures me hes on top of this and that hes contacting Brother right now and will call me back immediately. Im still waiting on that call by the way.Now it is JUNE and still no word from the shop. Attempts to call are thwarted by a constant busy signal, getting the answering machine and the tech being on vacation. So I call Brother to see if they can assist me in getting a status. Lo and behold they are able to contact the shop and get the info that were apparently still in a holding pattern. My case has now been escalated and Brother has assigned a liaison to me in embarrassment over the situation with one of their authorized service centers. In the meantime it is almost JULY and my machine has been at Discover Sewing for almost THREE months so I called Brother myself to find out what the heck the hold up is. Brother informs me that the part is in stock and they are sending it to the shop right away. Huh? What? Ok, just send the damn thing so I can get my machine back.Fast forward to JULY 6, the part has already been delivered to the shop (another hour on the phone with Brother to confirm this). NO ONE has contacted me to let me know it arrived or give me any eta on my machine so I call Discover Sewing for an update. I tried from 11:36 am -1:40pm to get someone on the phone but finally gave up and called the Sandy Springs location to see if maybe they were closed. The person who answered the phone in Sandy Springs (on the first try) said the Duluth store was, in fact, open. I asked the young lady if I could speak to the General Manager of the two stores and explained that they were on the verge of having a very unhappy customer and that I would like to speak with someone urgently. This was Friday, she told me that the GM may call me Saturday or may call me Monday. Okey dokey, she didnt understand urgent very well but whatever.Any call with Brother is an hour wasted, mostly on hold so I hesitate to keep calling them to intervene but I will be sending this review to my liaison for their records. It is now TUESDAY, no call from any GM or anyone at either shop. No idea when or if my machine will be repaired or when this will end. My machine has been at Discover Sewing for exactly 9 days short of THREE MONTHS. My options now appear to be going and picking the machine up and taking it elsewhere (thereby wasting THREE MONTHS and $150) or just waiting to see if they actually repair it one day. I havent yet decided which route Im taking but I will update this review if the situation is ever resolved, something Im not real hopeful about at this moment.
