These guys/gals are the best in town. They helped us get bikes during a pandemic and have fixed my son’s bike on multiple occasions(he rides hard)…prices are fair, service is outstanding, if you wanna just get some advice(they know and will drop what they are doing to help) mechanics are knowledgeable. They are the cream of the crop, the best of the best. Highly recommend! I won’t go anywhere else.

Great bike store. Just bought a Kona from them. Okay we rode different sizes and found the perfect size. They have a ton of accessories. Chose the add ons for the Kona, they put it all together and boom, I had a bike. Well another bike. I have alot of bikes, some say its a problem. Love my Kona, and they made the whole sales experience awesome. Stop by and get a bike!

Almost all our business for mountain biking and nordic skiing (four of us = a LOT of business) goes to this place... by choice. The people who work here are honest, personable, and chill. They take the time to get to know their customers and sell high quality stuff only. Weve never been to another bike/ski shop that comes even remotely close to Continental. Though its switched hands in the last couple years, the new owner is just as fantastic as the last. This place is definitely a favorite for us!

I started choosing Continental because it was closer to my house than other shops when my son and I started riding more often. I am giving a them 5 stars, though, because of the staff. Each time I’ve come in, every person I’ve encountered has been helpful and most importantly, patient. If you’ve ever spent time in bike shops…you know this is rarely a quality in staff members. Appropriate pricing, timely service, and a pleasant/knowledgeable staff makes this my shop from now on.

I just brought home a Giant Lafree this weekend, and I cannot stress enough how happy I am. We worked with Kraig, and he was so helpful and understanding when I explained what I havent liked about bikes in the past. He put me right on this, and for the first time in a very long time I was able to RIDE. I have put just over 40 miles on it in 2.5 days. Go see them. I plan to return and get some new ski boots so I can finally rejoin my family skiing.

My wife and I just had an amazing experience at the store. Craig got us outfitted for our ski sets with the right gear and then took the time to not only answer the many questions we had, but also explained step by step, for example, ski binding and boot adjustment for the cross country skis. Thank you and we look forward shopping here again soon.

My first experience was a very difficult repair and warranty situation and I couldnt stress enough how great they did. Pete in particular, came in on his vacation day (he surely did not have to) and called the manufacturer and spent an extensive time on the phone walking through the issue just to get me back on my bike. The effort he put in was amazing and I couldnt appreciate it more. You dont get that kind of service everywhere. On top of that, the price was fair for switching my parts over and they even fixed items I didnt know needing fixing.A little cherry on top, I went to pick it up during hours they were closed (should of looked up the schedule, they are closed on Mondays) and a couple of workers still helped me out and got me riding again.Highly recommend. Hard to find a place that will show that kind of care and go to battle for you with a big company!

This needs to be your bike shop!I was getting strange squeak from my favorite road bike. I brought it in and picked it up. After riding for just a bit, it came back. I brought it back and they were super apologetic. They did a TON of work and tweaking to isolate it and get it fixed. No extra charge. I was impressed to say the least. You will never get that kind of service from a big box store.Kudos to the wrench crew at Continental. You guys are top notch.

Ive always had good experiences shopping at Continental. Last year we got my wife cross country skis and the sales rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. Ive had bent bicycle wheels trued a couple times and the mechanic did a fantastic job on one I would have called a complete loss. I do a lot of my own bike repairs and the repair techs have always been helpful and willing to share their knowledge. Continental Ski and Bike will always be my first stop for anything ski and bike related.

I recently took my young son here to shop for some alpine ski equipment for him. They had a great price (equal to online price) on a boot, and a nice selection of gently used kids skis to chose from. Felicia assisted us and was fantastic with my son, knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful. They put our new gear through the technical set-up and tested the bindings on the spot. I rented a hybrid bike for riding to spectate during Grandma’s Marathon. Even though I wasn’t running this year, I wanted to see some friends running and wanted to make sure I got to the right mile marker to catch them at that point in the race. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They gave me directions on how to get to where I wanted to start. They took the time to work with me about making sure I could fit it into my car (ha). It was an excellent experience for me. I appreciated the kindness and time they took to help a runner who isn’t exactly as knowledgeable about biking. I learned a bit too! I can’t wait to come back to Duluth when I have more time so I can stop by and chat/rent another bike. Thank you!

I had already ordered my bike from another bike shop. Good guys, nothing bad to say about them. Went to Continental with my wife looking at bikes for her. We worked with Ryan and he was unbelievably helpful and patient, not to mention knowledgeable. When we couldnt find the right size for her, Nikolai offered to put together a different frame size for and we could come back and try it in a couple hours which we did. While we were there, I tried out one of the bikes my wife was looking at and it was pretty awesome. I had to eat a restocking charge at the other shop but the service was so amazing it was worth every penny. Were going back soon to get my wife her bike as well. I highly recommend this place. They are EXTREMELY helpful and EXTREMELY patient. I will be going back for nordic skis for my daughter this winter!

This bike shop was awesome. I needed to rent a bike for the Half Heck of the North Gravel Ride and Ryan set me up with the Cujo 27plus. It was a blast to ride. Amidst a great selection of bikes and equipment is a knowledgeable and friendly staff. John stopped what he was doing and patiently (!) helped me load the bike up while showing me all the features of the bike. After a long day of riding returning the bike was relaxed and easy. This shop is so accommodating and informative. My experience was so good that I left with the hope to return back next year ( I live in Missouri) and actually buy a bike from them.

I called them on Saturday afternoon after having just broken my handlebars in an event and was 1100mi from home and needed my bike for training the rest of my vacation. In addition, we were 60 miles away in Ashland. I dropped it off on Sunday morning early and they had it back to me by early afternoon the same day. I couldnt be more grateful- we had only one day in Duluth scheduled on our family vacation so we couldnt wait days to get it back. Service was terrible. Walked into the store and saw four store associates speaking with each other at the front desk and wasnt greeted. Eventually, an associate asked us what my friend and I were looking for and sent us downstairs. There were three more associates downstairs and while we looked at bikes for over 10 minutes we were not approached or helped by a single of the seven store associates that were currently working. Im not sure how to say this, but I simply cant believe the previous reviewer and I visited the same bike shop.My family spends time in Jackson Hole, WY area and New Hampshire with several top notch bike shops all working hard to earn our business. Well, just one visit to Continental for a rental while in Duluth, turned into a purchase of a $3,900 Full Suspension Mtn Bike.Andre couldnt have done a better job discussing bikes with us and providing alternative rental options to meet our needs. But when it came down to it, I felt strongly that the bike we purchased here while on vacation in Duluth would be enjoyable to ride on this vacation, and would also serve our needs in Wyoming. It comes down to selection, service, knowledgable staff, fair pricing and support.Well pick up a Thule rack and a few other items before we depart Duluth and head East to New Hampshire. In the future, its good to know weve got a great go-to bike shop each time we visit our extended family in Duluth. Thanks to Continental, its been a fun experience and we look forward to doing more business in the future.

Prices are reduced from $2,000 to $1,850 (aproximatley). The lower grade shimano r501 wheelset is worth $130 while the manufacturer specd mavik asksyrium run about $250. (Prices off internet on 9-23-17)Know what you are buying before you go in there or you will upgrade parts later on which will cost you more in the long run.If you are happy with the low end wheels it may be a better deal.

This was my go to shop before I moved out west. I bought my first lefty and fat bike with these guys. (Now I ride an intense m16 and a sb4.5c and travel around the county to ride) but, Now I come back for a visit and to do some riding and the guys treated me like crap, my price changed on the part I ordered, and the guys just act rude. I went to their bike swap and after almost 30 minutes of looking at bikes with a buddy we found a nice 56cm salsa cyclocross bike with an extra set of carbon wheels for 1600 so, we brought it to the lady to pay and she says sorry we are not doing any early showings you will have to come back later. unforchanatly we could not come back later and they lost the sale and the bike ended up on craigslist. Lastly, Im one to keep things local with an up and coming bike community like this but when things like this happen it sure makes it hard. You hear about these trails all the way from New Jersey to Cali and people will be coming in looking for good shops so I hope they can turn their stuff around
