One of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. We live in Georgia, not far from this dealership (not the closest either) but chose to buy here because of just one conversation with Matthew.Was an easy decision with how detailed and confident I knew Matthew was. We did the entire translation from trade to purchase over the phone with the only face to face being the pick up activities. Because of our experience with the staff here, all of our service work and future needs will be conducted at Subaru of Gwinnett.Excellent work Matthew!

Employees at this location are friendly and professional. There has been a couple of times where communication could have been improved but overall Im pleased with the service. My biggest complaint over the last 2 years can be found below.I had a stud replaced that was damaged during a routine brake service. It was replaced at no cost as it should have been, but my lug nut wasnt replaced. I had just spent almost $1500.00 and didnt even get a complimentary lug nut.Could be a lot worse. Overall my experience has been satisfactory.

I had an amazing experience this past week with my scheduled maintenance! I arrived 10 minutes early and was instantly greeted and helped, the staff there was incredibly kind and helpful. The people who were working on my car clearly enjoyed their job and took great care with it. Bonus points for the free car wash I received (not expecting that at all!)It also slipped my mind to thank the car salesman who helped me to buy my first car here! Matthew Buckles was amazing and clearly knows his stuff, answering all of my questions. I dislike most car salesmen, but the people here clearly care about their job and are not out to get a quick buck!

The service is wonderful here. The ad that got me to make the appointment however was very disingenuous. It implied I would get what I needed for 70 dollars but it really cost 500. I would have come anyway but would have been a lot more prepared for the cost.I would return easily to get service here.

We needed work done in the Service Department. Our experience was outstanding. We were greeted with a smile the moment we pulled in, we were kept up-to-date with the status of our car, and the service performed was excellent. They even washed our car when they were finished! The facilities are nice and clean, and we were pleased with the overall quality of service we received. We will definitely be back!

Great service. Kyle keep us informed on the status of the warranty work and made suggestions on tires that well need in a few months. We love our little Forester!Met with Richard this time. Bought new tires for out 2017 Forester. Great price and service. Richard discussed some items to keep a watch on, but no pressure to fix right now. The entire purchase to delivery process was excellent. The dealership secured the vehicle we wanted to test drive on a Friday afternoon. Our sales rep Jim, was patient as we test drove this vehicle and several other competing makes and models. When we decided on the Subaru, Jim allowed us to put a deposit on the car to hold the vehicle we wanted, while we worked out the financing and other details. We reserved a time a few days later and it was simple to sign the financial docs and have the car turned over to us. The dealership gave us a very fair trade in value for our existing vehicle. The whole process was seamless and smooth.

I’ve had ongoing issues with service for over a year now. At one point my car was there almost 2 months with no communication unless I called to get updates. I have NO faith in their service abilities and feel unsafe in a “supposedly” extremely safe Outback. I’ve had to inconvenience my job and life multiple times to get my car looked at for an oil consumption issue. Car runs poorly and no one cares. If it wasn’t for my service writer I would’ve traded this car in last year and NEVER bought a Subaru again. I’ve even left messages for management and have never received a call back. I would give zero stars but had to choose one to write this… on going stress that no one should have to deal with from their supposed reliable car.

I requested schedule detailing and tire purchase for the following week and was told someone would arrange it, arrange picking up my car, and I would be notified.That never happened. The Service Department is excellent. I had to have my car towed to the dealership on Sunday due to a dead battery still under warranty. They called me first thing Monday morning to tell me my car was ready with a new battery. Special thanks to Richard Kulcsar who answered his phone on Sunday to reassure me that the battery was under warranty and it would be ok to have the car towed there on a Sunday. Luckily I still had his card from when I had some service done on my car a week earlier.

Visited for routine service on my Forester. Overall good experience. The pros: friendly and courteous staff, loaner car availability, clear explanations of things, easy to get to. The opportunities: questionable 30k service item(cleaning throttle body not really listed on Subarus list, should be inspection first) and having to repeat all of my info upon arrival even though I scheduled an appt by phone a week prior. Note: this place does seem to be fairly busy but operated fairly smoothly given the demand. I was in and out in about 25 min with a loaner car.. which is more time than I would have hoped but not bad in general. Would I return? Most likely.. with a key eye on what I really need serviced.

Great shopping experience. Matthew was my salesperson, and he was knowledgeable and helpful without pressuring me. The service department is great and the service reps are knowledgeable. The waiting areas are comfortable and coffee, water, and snacks are available. Loaner cars are available for lengthy repairs. I was particularly pleased with my last visit that included some major engine work. I appreciated my service rep, Juan Urrego, who arranged a loaner car, kept me informed throughout the process and found me some significant savings. He also followed up to ensure I was happy with the work that was performed demonstrating his commitment to service.

I initially brought my new car (less than 300 miles) for a potential balancing problem and specifically requested to Jeff, the service representative to not to wash the car since I had a ceramic coating professionally applied not too long ago. This dealership was good enough to provide a loaner car since they were going to perform a diagnosis and balance the tires so I give them a star for that.After the balancing is where they messed up big time. By the time I received the car back it was washed, thus taking off the ceramic coating that I paid a lot of money for.I dont know why the world they would not follow a simple request, but to comp me for my loss they offered to work something out with a detailer outside of their shop, but I declined since I couldnt trust them. A few oil changes and tire rotations comps were offered since I figured they cant mess up on that.In summary, the service rep did his work correctly, but for some reason the rest of the team did not communicate. I dont think I will go to this dealership for future maintenance.

Terrible experience at Subaru of Gwinnett. I went and test drove a car right before 6pm close I was told to come back the next morning to purchase the car. Dealer assured me the car would be held and had the keys in her desk possession. Someone went into her desk to get the keys. I came back the next morning while someone was test driving the car. I was ready to pay cash in full. I was told because he arrived first he could purchase the car. I explained all of this to the manager Jason who did not care at all they sold the car right under me even though I was promise to get the vehicle. Do not purchase a vehicle from this location. I took my business elsewhere.

My wife and I went to several dealerships in search of the right car. However this particular dealership stood out with regard to excellent customer service and professionalism. We were treated very well by our salesperson Mike Q who took us through each step of the process and went above and beyond to make sure things ran smoothly. Jason in finance was friendly and made us feel that we were in good hands. He did a great job going over warranty options. My only concern was that he did not verbally go over the Starlink security as an option that we could either choose or decline. He said that it was part of the purchase of the vehicle. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR SUBARU HERE TO GET WORK DONE!!!! They will over charge you for the work and ruin your car by taking short cuts leading to other things breaking. Had them replace a clutch only to have other parts in my transmission fail short time later. They wouldn’t even acknowledge the fact they just worked on that area of the car glossing over any questions or comments. They grew ever more defensive with condescending tone. But I had them replace those parts along with a coolant hose buried in the engine. I found bolts under car either missing or cross threaded to where they were not in all the way. Top side I found a missing engine cover, damage to my alternator, a bolt missing from the a/c compressor, and my serpentine belt, conveniently snapped while driving this morning. I also found another bolt to which I have yet to locate where it goes. Who knows what else they did wrong inside my transmission where I can’t see. This is sloppy work you expect from, well no where, especially a place your paying top dollar. What a joke.

I found it a little insult for I came there with the intention to buy a new Forester but it was suggested to me to consider a used car instead. It seems the sales staffs believe I might not be able to afford a new car. The finance person instead of making a deal, he asked how much monthly payment I can make and suggested that I should consider lease option as the monthly payment would be lower while knowing my age and employment status. I made an offer for the car I wanted to buy but did not get any counter offer or follow up call. I sent an email to the General Sales Manager expressed to her about my experience but I did not get any replied. I believe folks there do not want to sale cars to the Asians here.Your business would also benefit by customers words of mouths. I have several friends who are also looking to buy new cars. They would want for me to experience the Subaru first as none of us ever owned one previously. Additionally, my friends and I are having children who are at the college age which we would consider future purchases of Subaru if we had great experiences with your sales force and the vehicles. When I walked out of your dealership without buying a car, you lost more than a sale. Your commercial advertises may not always bring customers to your dealership as well as the customers may not make the purchases if they had the same experience as I did.I would not dare to suggest for how you and your sales staffs may deal with customers. This simply is just my feedback for the experience I had at your dealership.

This was a scheduled service for an inspection, oil change, and software update. It was my cars first trip back to the dealer since purchase.Shaun, the Service Advisor was fast, friendly, and efficient.My car was serviced, washed, and ready to go and I was back out the door with everything completed correctly the first time (notable because this was not my experience with the two local Mercedes dealerships Id dealt with with my previous car).I will definitely be returning for my Legacys maintenance.

Promised a price by the salesperson Mathew. Only later to find out that in the end it was over $400. To top it off they appraised my car online and when I got to the dealership they offered almost $5000 less than their initial quote due to “$2500” repair…. It is actually less than $1,000 on the front bumper.Overall bad sales peopleThe front desk lady with the puppy was nice though.Edit***This all happened June 7, and they returned my original trade in car on June 8, because the other car was not at the dealership when I had originally gone.They told me I didn’t have to do anything else, and was good to go.Later on that week, I received an e-mail for the new loan of the car that I never received.Then a few days after that, the bank from my actual car that was supposed to be traded in told me the car just got paid off…I have called the dealership several times to see why they did not properly cancel a contract that they messed up, and then “ok-Ed” the cancelation and no I have to deal with these financial problems because of them.Just a headache from the second you walk in, to even a week after they try to screw you over.

Unfortunately my experience wasn’t as great as some others. After closely inspecting a used car (only one on the market in the color I wanted) I found a good bit of damage. They refused to negotiate, saying they bought cars at auction and priced fairly for their personal market. They talked me into it because the car was certified pre owned (suggesting this was why the price was higher than many other models with similar mileage on the market) and promised the damage would be repaired. I was without a car, they had no loaners available, so I needed it fixed ASAP. Two stars are for how fast they “fixed” the issues and for the low interest rate. Everything else was pretty bad. Detail job was AWFUL, damage is still visible and shoddily repaired in every area of the car that needed fixing (and they claimed they did the best they could-although I was promised it would be fixed entirely), and I just discovered this morning that one of my fog lights (that I’ve never even used) isn’t turning on/is out. Better yet, the car was on a lease before-it wasn’t even an auction car. I’m overall feeling VERY cheated and disappointed in this dealership and will avoid it at all costs in the future.Update: My front emblem fell off today. I will be calling tomorrow.

I was never inclined to leave any review and their staff/service/overall experience left much to be desired.We recently purchased a quarantine Subaru. From the sales aspect, finance, and pickup of vehicle, We were blown away at the service at Gwinnett Subaru!! Robert was our salesperson. Fast forward 5 months to the first service. Still, a wonderful experience in a clean, modern, waiting room. The service tech was very friendly, invited me inside, showed me where to have coffee and a snack, and the service was very quick.I might actually look forward to getting an oil change from now on. I was super excited because it was a car I got to choose from colors to details of what the car came with.My first purchase was a happy moment until some details & promises fell through the cracks in miscommunication. For the first few months of owning my 2021 Subaru Forester, I had issues with customer service, the car, lack of communication from the dealership, I ended up writing an emotional review, which I normally do not do but I was exhausted & I felt lost, unheard & just disappointed.Thats when Mr. Kendrick reached out & did his absolute BEST to make sure I was happy. I felt heard, I was nervous at first because of my first experience but Subaru of Gwinnett showed me EXACTLY why they have a 5 star rating. I am SO happy I picked SOG. Classic Subaru on Roswell is closer but I heard so many great things about Subaru of Gwinnett. Honda & Toyota wouldnt have gone the extra mile for my happiness like Subaru, Mr. Kendrick & Gary Sikes did.I had a previous review where I did not recommend them however, they have changed my mind completely. They didnt ask me to update my review, they didnt ask for anything except did we make it right? & are you happy? because my happiness does matter. Your happiness does matter to them. Subaru of Gwinnett will always be my recommendation. I will continue to recommend them to friends & family.I just want to thank Mr. Kendrick & Gary Sikes for their hospitality, for keeping their promises & for showing me that I do matter, my voice does matter to Subaru of Gwinnett.

I have had two excellent buying experiences at Subaru of Gwinnett. A couple of years ago, I bought a certified pre-owned Impreza hatchback. It was the perfect car at the perfect time, and the team at Subaru of Gwinnett worked hard to get me into that car at a price I could afford. They even gave me a little more for my trade-in (which had over $200k miles on it) than I expected. Yesterday, I traded the Impreza for a brand new Forester Premium. I couldnt be happier with the vehicle, or with the buying experience. Its was a no-pressure, no-upselling buying experience. The salespeople at Subaru are paid the same commission amount regardless of how much you spend. This factor alone means there is no incentive for them to show you a car you cant afford, or try to talk you into something you dont really need. I truly felt that Matthews only goal was to get me into a car that I loved, at a price I was comfortable with. The negotiation portion of the sales experience was straight-forward and brief. Matthew Buckles spent a lot of time with me, answering all my questions truthfully, and not bombarding me with sales-talk or information I dont really care about. Jason in finance was thorough, patient, and really helpful. He thoroughly explained every single thing I signed. I love my new Subaru. And Ill be seeing the folks at Subaru of Gwinnett again when I get ready to trade it for another one, whether its in 2 years, or 20.

No one has acknowledged me as I stand and wait in the parts department with only one guy behind the counter. I have been here for 20 minutes now for something I ordered over the phone. He has not even looked this way... what a waste of time! Go to Subaru of Athens or just stick with ordering online!

Jim Cox of Subaru of Gwinnett made the car shopping experience easy and quick. This was my first car purchase, and Jim was very knowledgeable, responsive, respectful and friendly. After calling many dealerships, this dealership clearly had the best quality of service and staff. Jim was able to get me the best price for my new Crosstrek. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is interested in a Subaru. Diana Vona in finance was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

I took my car in for an oil change and the guy told me I needed almost 4,000 dollars worth of repairs, some critical, to be done. One of the critical things was an oil pan to be replaced at 1,000. I took the car to a mechanic for a second opinion and he said the oil pan was spotless. The honest mechanic did all the necessary repairs and charged me only 400.00. What a rip off this dealership is. Beware and get a second opinion! Better yet don’t let these people touch your car!

Appointment scheduled to fix a known problem with car and for maintenance (alignment, excellent price for a 4-wheel alignment). Problem with rear hatch exhibited itself right away and tech knew solution pretty quickly and presented cost and time estimate. Completed relatively quickly and at a reasonable price. Service tech was friendly, as they have been previously at the dealer.
