We traveled to KIA of Duluth to help our niece buy a good reliable car. Caleb, the salesman, helped her use his computer to get her financial information necessary for the loan process and how much she would be able to spend on a car. Caleb was a great help. He brought up a KIA Forte to take for a test drive. Our niece loved it. It gets great gas mileage which was important because she is a single mother of 2 little girls. It took a few hours to get everything done. The financial officer helped find a bank to finance the purchase. He was very good at his job and a friendly man to deal with. The dealership had just taken it in on trade and hadnt had time to detail it. While that was being taken care of, Caleb promised he would take care of her and keep her safe until it was ready so we could make the 90 mile drive back home.The dealership had a small fridge with bottles of water, snacks and coffee as well as vending machines. They had clean restrooms and a sofa, love seat, and television in a lounge.It was a hot day and there was no air conditioning. That was the only downer.

So, took in vehicle (40K miles) with knock in chassis, they said the shocks were bad, charged $70 for that opinion, offered to replace them for almost $1300- a $500 job elsewhere. Turned out it was just a bad sway bar link. So at $130 hour for estimates, KIA couldnt even diagnose the most basic components in a vehicle. After we had another shop do the work based on KIAs advice, and they said the old shocks still looked fine after they removed them, KIA said because we already did it elsewhere there was nothing they could do and we should have had them diagnose it again. How do you know when you should pay them another $70 to give you more bad information and pay them $1000s to repair parts that arent broken? Exactly. One of the hardest lessons to learn in the world of auto repair is just because a company charges a lot for estimates/service, doesnt mean they know what theyre doing. To their credit they admitted they were short staffed and would work on doing better. Thanks Kia.

Best place to go if you want the stereotypical greasy car salesman dealing with you and your money. Caught them in multiple lies right to my face. If you have a low credit score beware because they will treat you like you don’t deserve to even be looking for a new vehicle. Never have I experienced such disrespect from people who would normally be happy that I chose them first to sell me a car. DO NOT trust Kia of Duluth!!

Got my engine replaced due to a manufacturer error, gave me loaner no problem very pleased with initial experience, picked up my car air stopped working after 30 seconds of running it. They gave me some bull about the engine having to relearn how to use it and said to bring it back over the weekend of it didn’t start working. Called them after the weekend and they told that wasn’t a thing and that since it worked for 5 seconds when I picked it up it’s not there fault. Said if it didn’t work at all when I picked it up would be a different story. They said they could look at it but I would have to set an apt, and the loaner car I have a couple days ago and all the res now have several weeks wait time. So basically they got me out of their shop when I picked up the car so they could just get rid of their problems. They were accommodating at all once we paid them money. If you don’t have to, don’t go here.

Worst service I have ever seen. I have been here twice and both have been bad.On my recent visit I had ordered a part needed for my vehicle on a Thursday and was told it would come in 3-5 days. After 3 days I gave them a call to see when it would come in to make sure I could get an appointment on the books. I was told the parts employees were on lunch and they took my name and number. After not hearing back from them I called back the next day and left a voicemail. After not hearing back at 5 days I gave two more calls where my name and number were taken. After 6 days I drove to Kia of Duluth and was told THE PART WAS NEVER ORDERED. I guess they couldn’t have told me this when I called any of the 5 times.I then ordered the piece for expedited shipping to arrive in 1-2 days since I needed it. The guy made a point of taking my name and number on a post it note and he seemed nice but I was angry.After not hearing from them the next day I drove down to make sure the part was ordered. Apparently it has arrived that morning but no one even bothered to call me… again.I took the part and had Abra install it. I hope to never have to visit this place in the future and will no longer be buying Kia cars.

Jayden in the service department was so nice and accommodating. I needed a completely new engine and I was a couple hundred miles over my bumper to bumper warranty. My warranty claim to fix my car was denied at first but Jayden kept trying to push it through and after a week and a half I was approved to have the engine replaced for free of charge. This saved me lots of stress and thousands of dollars. I highly recommend this place to have your Kia serviced.

If at all possible, get Devon to be the sales associate you work with. Very helpful and friendly, and seems to have an integrity that most used car salesmen dont have. I never had the impression of him trying to deceive or upsell me on something, and he was very understanding of my situation. Got me the car I needed very quickly!

I am a first time loaner through Kia and was basically sold a vehicle that wasnt even suppose to leave the lot. ( One of their own mechanics even told me so ). I thought I was getting a good deal and from a trusted dealer but everything from the truck to the CONSTANT repair issues ( of which was 90% out of pocket and NOT included in the warranty, happening after leaving the lot ) has been nothing but a shady hustle. A shady hustle by a dealer taken advantage of a first time buyer. After I pay this loan off, I will NEVER shop with Kia again and hope that the next first time buyer does a little more research then I did as well as bring an experienced person in loaning vehicles with them. I can show ALL the repair cost if ANYBODY out there would like to see for themselves that I am not lying.

I prequalified for financing and was able to get the vehicle I wanted. Caleb made the entire sales process easy. I went in for a test drive and ended up leaving with my new to me Jeep in just a couple of hours. The additional peace of mind having a short term full warrantee in case something is not as expected and a 3 year drive train warrantee is a definite plus.

I brought my 2017 Kia Soul to the dealership for an oil change. During the inspection it was found my front brakes were not in the best condition. The service team was able to just extend my appointment and make the necessary fix right then. The staff is efficient, professional and friendly. I will be back for all my future maintenance needs. I used to have a 5 star rating for Kia until the pandemic. They did nothing to help when I lost my job to closings. I have a lease vehicle so i did not qualify for any deferment. Now that my lease is ending and I am still unemployed, they will not help me in anyway. They just want me to turn in my vehicle and move on. I wont be going back through them.

Dont buy a used vehicle from KIA...!!!... They jack up the original asking price when you offer a trade in for the same $ amount. They offer a warranty but, the same night of my Girfriend buying a 2018 GMC Canyon - the transmission shudders/studders at ALL speeds / all gears - VERY UNSAFE !!!!!! They claim to have had it inspected but no records of it. They claim to have service technicians but the people they have working there are not certified.... Impulse buy without anyone to accompany her because she wanted to surprise everyone & have a happy ment.... Now shes worried about catastrophic failure and causing & shes got to pay an accident but KIA wont take it back because sales are final ...... Way to go KIA - took advantage of yet another woman because they dont know any better. At least give her trade in back because you didnt take any $ off the original price for it but, youre already selling it for over double of what you gave her for it..... That makes sense.

We went to trade in our 2015 Kia Sorento that we bought from this dealership. Out of about 5 different dealerships, Kia offered us way below what the others offered. It says a lot about what they think the resale value of their cars is. We will not be back.

Being able to purchase with bad credit was a huge plus. It’s a nice car and I was super excited about having a reliable vehicle finally. But, I purchased the car and within 500 miles had the worst knocking sound coming from the suspension/wheels area. Took it in for a service, paid $90, ($65 just to have them look) and my problem wasn’t fixed at all. It’s actually just getting worse. They “couldn’t find anything”, so fixed random things like tightened the exhaust. “Oil was leaking” but didn’t bother to mention that or fix it. Nothing was covered under the warranty they offered with used vehicles (even though the packet they give you for warranty services lists everything under the sun practically) super bummed I’m out $90 for my problem to get worse. More bummed I have to find someone else to actually fix it.

Railroaded me into putting down a down payment on a vehicle I couldnt even get financed for then told me I could not get my money back and had to purchase through them. Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. I felt like I was taken advantage of and the vehicle I did buy started leaking coolant 1 day later.

Total waste of our time! Kia of duluth is advertising that they will buy your car for top dollar and its quick and easy. All i can say is they offered us below bottom dollar and spent most of the time we were there trying to sell us a kia even tho we were obviously and vocally not interested. Not impressed and now will never buy a KIA.

Experience was really great. Right from from when I walked in the door. Sales were very helpful to find the right match, In my price range and found adequate financing for my credit level. They made sure I knew the ins and outs of my new vehicle before I left. They were fair with my trade in. The paperwork at the end was very well organized and didnt take long at all to complete.

The visit began by telling me that the service I requested on the website was no longer available; the service available would cost an additional $200 (or I did have the option to leave).In addition to that 60,000 mile service, I was told I could pay for a break resurfacing, which might not last, and I would be back in for another service if it failed, or I could pay another hundred dollars for a full brake service. (I take care of my car as best I can, and I opted for the full brake service.)I needed to return to the shop twice after that service, because every time I hit the brakes at speeds over 40, the front end shook so badly, my windshield rattled. The technician undid the tire rotation, thinking that was the problem, but it wasnt, so I came back again. I think the solution was to replace the rotors again, but I wasnt told that.No one has explained to me what went wrong. (Hector, the technician who went for a ride with me to diagnose on my second trip in, was kind and brainstormed as we drove -- he is the closest person to someone to handled this exchange well and should be applauded for at least trying.)I dont know what caused the vibration or what was done to fix it because, when I came back, there was no documentation of the two subsequent services for my records. (Was my tire rotation redone? The rotation wasnt the problem, and I paid for a tire rotation. What was done?)There was no person to talk to, just my key sitting on the counter, which a passing employee handed to me, noting that I could wait for someone to talk to, otherwise my car was outside.A verbal apology from anyone for whatever error was made in the brake service, or even just an apology for the hours of my life lost on Wednesday and Thursday for a service that should have been done on Tuesday, would have meant a lot. It would have meant at least two more stars on this form.Let me say that again. Im sorry. We strive for a standard of service higher than the one you experienced, and Im sorry we didnt meet that standard this time would have meant at least two more stars and a customer who would not feel like writing letters.The stars I am giving on #1 and #3, I am giving entirely because Hector seemed to exceed the standard of customer service offered by the general staff. He seemed to care about the quality of work and good customer service.The half-star on scheduling & convenience (#2) reflects that the shuttle drivers who gave me a lift were kind and professional and regretted that this service took three days.The rest was frustration and disappointment.Edited after from reply from owner below: I cant tell whether the reply posted by the owner below indicates that they didnt read the review, or they did read the review and just arent interested in addressing what happened.Notably, two weeks ago, I completed a review internal to the organization and clicked the box indicating that Id like the manager to respond and have heard nothing.In any case, I cant agree that the organization provides great service given my experience here. Its possible that individuals try, as noted above, though the contrast with the organizational culture that doesnt seem to try is sharp.

I wouldn’t buy water from them if I were dying of thirst!!! My wife went in for a p0018 code on my 2016 Kia Sorento and was sent home without a diagnosis or a follow up appointment to complete the diagnosis. Called to find out way it wasn’t done or a follow up scheduled and was told it would be a day and $260-$480 to diagnose and may not be covered by warranty.The tech didn’t want to even type up what was done while my wife was there. The car was pulled up front and she was told she was done.I live 1.5 hours from the dealer and can not readily go to and from the dealer. Not to mention I am around 93000 miles and nearing the end of what is covered. There was no regard for mine or my wife’s time. And they claim “no way she was sent away”. I will drive the extra hour to go to St. Cloud for my needs!

I got a recall notice last spring, called for an appointment and was told there was no fix. I received another recall notice, called for an appointment and made one for the following week. I dropped the van at the service center, gave my keys to staff, made sure they could contact me and left. About an hour later I was called and told that the needed parts werent in stock and the work would have to be rescheduled. I went back to the service center, spoke to 3 people in order to hunt down my keys and was told I would get a call as soon as the parts were in. They estimated the parts would be available in 3 to 5 days. That was 9 days ago and I have heard nothing.

Have had a few issues with my brand new car i bought in 2017. I have had it towed to kia 3 times now. I understand that things go wrong. They have fixed the car. My issue is with custumer service in the service department. Each time i have been in there they have been very rude and short with me. They do not seem to want to take a extra min to explain something to you and get short with you when you ask. (Like stompng your finger on the paper is helpful)

Took my car in to get fixed and they kept me updated. It was a bigger job than they expected so it took longer. I received a courtesy car while they worked on mine. When my car was ready, they helped me put my newborns car seat in and were really helpful with any other questions I had.

A first rate miserable experience. I bought a 2009 Toyota Matrix online from Kia of Duluth and had it delivered to my house, a 250 mile trip. When the car arrived I noticed several problems with it. The car was dirty and had dog hair in it. The glove compartment had the left overs from a bag of popcorn. In the back storage compartment there was a mouse nest with a pair of chewed up gloves and about a quarter pound of mouse droppings and sunflower seed shells. Three of the tires were underinflated by 10-15 pounds. I checked the oil and it was over filled by over a quart. The car had 2 sets of keys and they sent one. I had a plate to transfer and they applied for a new one. The car stank of cigarette smoke. I tried for a week to get a remedy for the problems and they offered me a partial payment for a car detail. I would not recommend this car dealership.

Very rude and disrespectful and I wouldnt suggest any one to buy anything from them. 3 of my friends and family have gotten screwed over on servicing a new kia optiom on oil change my parents transmission went out over charged and oil pump went out on new van and my self bought a jetta and they screed up paper work never received a bill in over 1.5 years and they were calling car in stolen worst dealership in the whole USA.

This was a much better experience than the one I had a couple years ago. Then I got call by the dealership saying they needed trade-ins, when I went to Kia of Duluth they gave me a low ball offer for my 2015 Sportage, no deal on the current Sportages and only offered to extend the loan period. Left feeling really mislead.This time I got a good offer for my trade in, which I also got five years ago. Also go a good finance package from the dealership and dealer discount. Phillip and Stephen were good to work with and they brought my trust level up for Kia of Duluth.

Kia is a very busy Auto sales and repairs business. It is in a very tight section of Duluth and parking is tighter. Inside there is a comfortable waiting room while your vehicle is being worked on. I was only there to wait on my son to go on his lunch break.

KIA of Duluth has the worst customer service.we bought a 2016 sorrento (biggest mistake ever)we had to take it back 2 days after we got it due to breaks sticking and numerous other things that needed to be fixed or replaced. When we asked about it we got nothing but attitudes and no call backs followed by a hang up when asked how long we would be without our 2 day old car it ended up being almost a week.. this all should have been done before the car ever even left the lot.. now our car is back in and they say the motor needs to be replaced we havent even had the car 2 years...when we call to discuss what is going on all we are ever told is we will call when we know more-never call.. I called this morning to ask about a loaner vehicle and was told they did not have any. At one point in the conversation the gentleman asked me if I was really going to argue with him about it.on the site it offers pickup and delivery when we asked about it we were told that they did not offer it I told them on their website says they do (due to covid-19)it the changed to within 20 miles of them. I was also told that I would receive a call back but I dont understand how you can call somebody back without asking their name and or phone number..

I took time on Saturday to come in to Kia- I thought despite what I had heard I would give it a chance. When my family and I arrived, we were not greeted, we did not get any sense of comfort. We looked around the lot and a man came up asking what he could help with.. I told him the vehicle I was interested in and he went in and grabbed some paper work. He then asked me my name and I said what my name was- He replied Oh, you have an appt with Caleb. At that point we were pushed in the door before I was able even to look at the vehicle I was interested in.He brought us to Calebs desk, We walked by the receptionist not so much as a word of greeting or a smile.Caleb didnt seem interested in me and what I wanted. He was not giving me any indication of what he was doing and kept walking back and forth without saying a word.Finally my mom asked him what was going on and the finance person said This isnt a five minute process in a snarky voice. We werent assuming it was a quick process although I will say we would have liked to have been treated with much more respect.I left there frustrated and unhappy. I will not be returning and will not refer anyone to this dealership!

I bought a car from Kia of Duluth in 2017, but after getting a new car, and having an amazing experience with a different dealership, and looking through my old car buying documents, I have realized that this dealership is incredibly shady in selling cars as well as customer service, and definitely not for inexperienced car buyers who are looking for a first car. I was unsure in car buying, and I knew negotiation was key, but I was hopeful to have a salesman who would not take advantage of my inexperience. Unfortunately that was not the case. I type this review now because I have dealt with what should have been a lemon car, but I feel I was inexperienced and taken advantage of.Here are a few things that have happened during the car buying process that would be red flags to me now.*The car I decided to get was the first car I was shown, a 2005 Ford Escape. I took a test drive and during the ride I noticed a squeaky sound coming from the rear passenger side, I brought it up to the salesman in which he replied, the car just needed to be driven to loosen it up. I believed him because I believed him to be more experienced in cars than I was.*I bought the car for 22.99% APR and had to put down a down payment of 1700, again I should have known better, but I was 20 inexperienced. I was told my credit was beginning credit and I would be rejected from most dealerships because of it, and because I was worried I would, I believed them.Stupid.*I was asked after picking out the car, and while it was getting inspected if I could kick another 500 to the down payment.*After a VERY long inspection of the car, about an hour and a half, I drove home a noticed the squeaking would not stop, it wasnt loud but noticeable. I took the car in prior to my 30 days. and they replaced an axle, but said the car was fine otherwise.*after only a few months of driving the car, I noticed loud banging as i drove around, I peeked at the rear well and noticed large rusting, and could see my shocks. Every time I drove my car, the shocks would almost move away from the frame(called rear well rust) and would require a new mount.*I was not happy about this, and took the car in, although it was a few months after purchasing the vehicle, I believed this massive amount of rusting should have been noticed. I believed the inspectors to do their job and did not do an inspection on my own past looking inside and minimally outside-I had no idea what I was looking for.*at the appointment, I was only told that I could have done that amount of damage to the vehicle, and that I signed a contract, the service was not friendly, and was very pointing to it being my fault to have bought the car when we asked to speak to a manager above the Kevin, the financial person(the salesman who sold us the car didnt see us at all) we were only told that he is busy and wont see us, and wont help us.*I had to end up paying 1500 out of pocket to get my vehicle fixed at a local mechanics*The car had many other problems that didnt seem to appear until a month or two later such as the ABS was constantly on, and the 4x4 light was always blinking, not working. The back window was supposed to separate from the door, and that broke almost immediately, they fixed that with the axle only to break again a couple weeks later. Ridiculous.KIA of Duluth is not a good dealership for new buyers and definitely not for the inexperienced young student who just needs a car to get to school and home. I will never buy another car from there again. I should not have to be on high alert every minute when buying a car a expect to try and be taken advantage of, but unfortunately this was the case with KIA. I hope this review reaches the right people. I feel dumb to have even made an appointment.

Lost my business and Ive been going there nearly 8 years. Told yall to check n change my clutch. To have you call me and tell me I need a fuel line flush essentially at $250... and tell me my clutch was fine. I questioned you guys about at and assured me the clutch was fine. Then call me the next day and tell me another one of your mechanics took it for a test ride.... and indeed the clutch is going out like I told you in the first place (and Im no mechanic) then tell me it will be an additional $1,100+ so basically the flush was b.s. and only affected my gas mileage slightly then I couldnt afford the clutch. You lost a customer of nearing a decade. And to top it off the door latch I asked you guys to fix... you didnt even put all the screws in it only put in 2 out of 3 of them... come on... I thought you guys were professionals. Im taking my $$$ elsewhere.

Today we looked at a few cars here. We usually don’t like to go to dealerships because of all the fake news, and scams they do. But today we worked with Sam M and he was very honest with everything! He took the time to know each one of us, and for a man just starting he knew all the questions we had! Most salesman are pushy, dishonest, or don’t take you seriously if you’re not ready to buy. But Sam was non of those! Out of all the times having a salesman, Sam is the only one I would definitely recommend, and we will be purchasing from here is something we see comes up!

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Not for large repairs, an oil change, or to tighten their tires. I called this facility on 10/4 and made an appointment for 7:30am on 10/7. I was ensured they had the proper part to fix my vehicle. On 10/7 I had called to check the status of my vehicle. I was told at 2pm (my appointment was at 7:30 AM) that the part would need to be ordered and it will be completed the morning of 10/8. I didnt hear anything from them until I had called on the late afternoon of 10/8 that the part wouldnt actually be in until 10/9. I was assured it would be completed right away in the morning on 10/9. At 12pm on 10/9 I called to check the status. I was told it was done, they needed to do the paperwork, and would call me back. An hour goes by, no word so I call again. They stated I could then pick up my vehicle. I get there to pick it up AND THEY LOST MY KEY!!!! My part could have been ordered on 10/4 when I called and was TOLD they had the proper part, I did not receive a single phone call FROM them I had to call each time, staff was very unorganized and unprofessional. Choose a different shop. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.

Calls this dealer about a Telluride that they have on the line when I gets there the deal wasn’t completely done. That wasnt to Bad though, Steve (finance manager) was jumping through hoops to get me out of there that day with it. I walks out and looks at the car again, there was a scratch along the door and I was told it’ll buff out and not to worry about it. I walks around more and noticed the back passenger door had a dent in it along with a bit of plastic molding that needed replaced. They tells me before you pick it up it’ll be fixed. Now to me that’s no longer a new car when it has newer pieces on it anyway but then after steve gets a deal for me at the original price the GM tells him to sell it to me 4000 over sticker in all I can think of is a way to make the money back on getting it fixed. Telling me to insure the cars value Blah blah blah clear coat and undercoat or something and it has to be done if I want to buy the car. No one else returns your calls I have the salesman (don’t know his name) cell phone number and he won’t even answer a text most of the time. With the exception of steve I wouldn’t bother even calling this dealer.

I had to bring my car in on May 11th because I lived outside of the pickup and delivery area. Everything I read and saw online made it seem as though KIA was taking appropriate measures to ensure my safety. NOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!When I arrived a service attendant approached my car unmasked and ungloved and was not at all respectful of social distancing. He then sat in my car and touched numerous things with bare hands!!!!!When I returned to pick it up (which was almost twice as long as the time I was initially told) there were two service attendants hanging out in front of the counter. Neither wore any PPE and they wouldnt move until I made it clear that I wouldnt approach. Then the attendant who was ringing me up behind a tiny shield started eating chips. He wore no gloves and was touching my paperwork repeatedly!!!!!I wanted nothing more than to get the hell out of there so I only looked at the bill to confirm that I wasnt being charged more than I was initially told. I had to sanitize my car and noticed that it hadnt been washed as was part of the package Id paid for. I have no idea if the leak in one of my snowtires was fixed or just removed and swapped out for my summer tires because my invoice doesnt list anything properly.I had had previous reservations about using KIA because last May when I brought it in to swap out the snow tires the technician said that they couldnt do it because the tires were no good. I was conned into buying four new tires only to learn later from another mechanic that my tires were indeed fine and they were because we put them on another vehicle.I reached out via email twice to KIA using the links they provided and havent received ANY response.Shame on KIA for being so DEPLORABLE, DESPICABLE and DISHONEST!!!

Weve been to several different car dealers in the area over the pass few years. . . . trying to get approved. Never did we receive the level of excellent customer service as we did recently at Kia of Duluth!Even after after seeing our less than perfect credit, they treated us with the utmost respect and bent over backwards getting us into a vehicle. . . the same day!I was feeling under the weather and Petra & Calvin even went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable.Petra, our sales rep, was very sweet and knowledgeable in vehicles & Calvin was excellent in working out the financing.Thank you! If I could give zero stars I would! I was approved online and they told me to come on down to finish up some stuff. When I got there I was excited to get a new car, then the salesman was completely rude and not compassionate. I told him on the phone I had no money down and I told him my credit score and they even approved me online credit application. Yet when I drove 30 mins to get there they had said I only had a choice of one car and needed $700 to get it!! What a joke! They claim bad credit and no down, tons of bull!

This place is wonderful. We were in the area on vacation when we discovered a nail in our tire. We have tires that use nitrous not air and this limits our choices for fixing our leak. After calling many locations within the area another dealership told me this particular dealership had nitrous so I gave them a call. I told them our problem and they told us to bring it on in. Once we arrived the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We made ourselves comfortable in the lounge. We were expecting to spend a lengthy amount of time. We were so happy and thankful they got us in and back on our vacation in about 40 min. Thank you so much!

Worst service department ive ever used..wife brought in a 12 optima sx with acceleration issues for diagnosis...the advisor told her that the turbo 2.0t was shot and proceeded to recommend replacing it for roughly $3500...they told her it was not drivable and that she should trade it in..they offered $1000 trade in on it because it needed so much work...she didnt take the trade in offer and ended up buying a used buick encore there which was a mistake...i brought the kia elsewhere to fix it..and turns out the turbo is fine and it only needed a $300 dollar waste gate actuator...i called and spoke to both advisor and the service manager and they claim it was just a guess and a preliminary diagnosis..like really???worst dealer and customer service ever.

I was recently shopping for a new car. Kia was pretty good, they even let me take the car home for the weekend to test it out. But then the car didnt start the next morning and I had a terrible time getting a hold of anyone to help. When I finally got a hold of someone, they didnt seem particularly concerned or apologetic. That kind of soured me on the experience. I would def still recommend them though.
