Our contact, Dave, was responsive, personable, knowledgeable and worked hard to make sure we got the work we needed with the budget we had for the project. He was also on site both days that crews were at our house. The tree and stump removal crews worked hard all day to make sure the project got completed on time. Crews were friendly and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. We got quotes from 3 other services and Joseph was the most competitive and by far the best experience. Highly recommend for anyone in the area needing tree work!

Outstanding performance. Many dead branches removed form mature, tall trees, some hard-to-reach. And a diseased and dying red oak was cleanly removed. The crew does a great clean up, maneuvered into a tight to reach area, and they use great equipment that facilitates their excellent work. Good communicators. This company is awesome! We had Joseph Tree Service come out to prune some trees in early spring before anything had actually begun to bloom. They arrived on time, were efficient with their work, and cleaned up wherever they had cut branches. I had many questions and they were polite, and took time to speak with me. I was very pleased with their work.Today they returned to trim some branches that originally had some buds on them, but did not make it through the winter. Again, they arrived promptly, completed the work, and cleaned up the area afterwards.This is the first year we have used this company, and we will definitely be using them them in the future. We have used Joseph Tree Service in the past for a large project. A couple of weeks ago we called them back to remove a large black walnut tree that was hard to access due to it pressing against the house, and hanging over our neighbors roof.They went over and above to be careful removing this problem tree. Leading up to the appointment they made sure to communicate with us about what to expect, and worked with us to not interfere with our neighbors property as much as possible.The day of service they were careful and efficient. Joseph Tree removed a few dead trees that were partially fallen on my property. They were quick to come out to take look and a quote was sent to us that night. The quote was fair in my opinion. The trees were tall and it looked to me like a challenging job by the way they were leaning. I’ll definitely go with them again.

We had a 70 foot pine tree that started leaning toward our house and needed taken down but it was in a tight space where its removal could possibly damage other trees and our playset. The crew at Joseph Tree was amazing. They came in, talked to us about the procedure and worked meticulously and safely to get the tree taken down with no damage to the surrounding trees or the playset. They were in and out in about an hour and a half, cleaned the yard as they progressed, and I requested they leave a few feet of the trunk that I could split for future firewood and they even cut it up into manageable sections for me to split later and even stacked it for me on the other side of the lawn by our wood pile, which wasnt expected of them. We asked for the stump to be ground up as well and instead of rushing through the project and damaging our wet yard with the grinder in the process, they agreed to reschedule the grinding for a later date when the ground dried up a bit and the machine wouldnt cause as much damage. They met all of our needs and were definitely fairly priced. Thanks for your professionalism and excellent crew.

Had a large pine tree taken down by them this past Fall that was immediately next to the front our house. They took it down easily and several other large bushes in our front flower beds. They did an amazing job of grinding up the stump and removing all root systems of the bushes. They also did a great job with clean up leaving my front lawn spotless! Amazing!!!! I cannot say enough about this tree company and ALL its employees. They moved my partially damaged tree to the top of their list to ease my fears of this very large tree falling on my house! I was educated by Nate about the tree`s issues and he helped calm my fears of impending doom!! The Hero that climbed a 125 foot tree and the amazing hero`s controlling the ropes to ensure the tree would not damaged anything on my house or yard was unbelievable. I presented Dave and Michael with quite the challenge. I had a dead ash with a 5-prong stump hanging over my house which was only accessible via the neighbors yard. Challenge accepted and challenge conquered! I wasnt home for the job and I was initially concerned that the neighbors yard would be damaged by the weight of their large crane. I must first say that I am hard to please...and I was extremely pleased with the service from Josephs. I requested an estimate and David responded pretty much immediately. He said he would be able to stop out later in the week to give us a quote. I said we were in a rush as we planned on putting our house up for sale. He said he would try to stop out sooner if he could. I got a call about 415pm later that same day that he could squeeze us in. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a good price. He said their schedule was pretty full for the next few weeks but might be able to fit us in Wed or Friday...Tuesday AM (next day) we got a call that they could fit us in that AM and they were onsite in no time at all. The job they did exceeded my expectations and you could honestly not tell that anyone was even there. No debris left. Tree looked great and the workers were extremely nice and kind to my 3 year old who was so interested in what they were doing that he must have asked a 1000 questions. After the experience weve had with other companies doing work at our house in the past it was a refreshing to know that there are still companies out there that take pride in a job well done. I would and will recommend Josephs to anyone that needs work done.

I had three trees that needed servicing. My big maple in the front yard is quite old and did not have many good branches left on it (so I thought) and I was wanting to cut that down. I also had two smaller trees in the back yard that needed trimmed (in laymans terms). I received estimates from 2 companies in addition to Josephs Tree Service. Josephs Tree Service was two-thirds the price of the other two companies, and, before giving me a written estimate, they called me to ask why I wanted to cut the big tree down, I explained that I didnt think it had much life left. After speaking with Zack on and off for several days, as he schooled me in not only the professional terms and meanings along with his thoughts on keeping the tree, we decided to save the big Maple tree, which again cut my costs. Josephs Tree Service pruned and crown cleaned the Maple and we will now fertilize it once this year and probably once next year. They advised that they will come out again next spring to see how the tree is doing but they were confident that the tree still had a good base and just needed some fertilization. No other company gave me options or explained the process prior to giving me estimates. This company is so professional and at no time did I hesitate to contact them via email or phone to ask more questions. They put the customer first and made sure that I was happy with their work. I would not hesitate to contact them again for any future work and I will be happy to give their name out. They were a pleasure to work with and I look forward to our continuing work on my Maple. Joseph Tree Service came out this week to remove three large trees from our backyard. The best contractor experience weve ever had. Requesting a free quote online was very easy. They emailed us a very detailed quote, and the price was among the lowest we found. When I called to approve the work, we were able to schedule an exact day that fit with my schedule, with assurances that if they should need to reschedule, they would call me first (another company wanted us to sign off on them coming over anytime/day that worked for them). They arrived on the agreed day at 8:15, rang the doorbell and spoke to us first, and got to work. The work required some tricky maneuvering around some power lines, but they made it look easy. They left my yard just as they found it - no sticks, no huge piles of mulch, and no ruts. Highly recommended!

I consistently experienced professionalism, care and intentionality with their approach. Our project took about three days and I received a call daily on progess. Before grinding a small stump next to some spring flowers, a team member even stopped to brush away mulch and asked me if I wanted to dig up the flowers first. They came on time, cut the tree down, removed the stump and roots, covered the hole, cleaned up. Looks like nothing was there. They did an excellent job. Highly professional and courteous.

We had an ash, plum and two Alberta spruce trees removed from our front yard and a white oak tree pruned in the backyard. I saw all the great reviews online so it was a no brainer to request a free estimate. They came out within two days and emailed us an online estimate. We had asked for them to prune three trees in the backyard, but they said two of them were healthy and didn’t need anything at this time. The estimate was thorough and even had all the trees identified and marked on a Google Map. We followed up with a few questions with Nate via email. He was very responsive and educated us on the signs of Emerald Ash Borer. They scheduled our tree removal two days later and did an awesome job, including grinding the stumps. I’ve been telling everyone how Joseph Tree Service is thorough, professional, honest and quality tree removal in Columbus!

I had two overgrown Bradford pears removed from my side and back yard. From the initial consultation to the scheduling, everything was thorough and professional. I wasnt home for the removal and stump grinding, but my neighbors still comment on the scope of the operation. Large crane over the house held the top of the trees as they took them down so they wouldnt fall on house or my neighbors fence. Mowed the yard about three days later and there were only a handful of small twigs to pick up. Showed up when they said they would, completed the job effectively, highly recommended.

Dont hire this company. They showed up and cut down a tree without my approval, charged way more than anyone else, then got a lawyer to sue me for $700 for one tree. Never again. Please dont hire them.

We had a difficult situation with a neighbor over a heavily damaged, rotting tree on a shared property line. We dealt with many tree services in an attempt to remove the tree. Joseph was by far the most professional and attentive to our questions and concerns. They completed a risk assessment which included a recommendation to remove the tree. This conclusion was consistent with the other tree services; however when the neighbor refused to allow removal, Joseph continued to provide additional options and recommendations. Their rates were very comparable with the other services, but their customer service and knowledge was significantly better. We ended up cabling the tree through Joseph to mitigate its risk and their whole team was professional. We have recommended them to friends who have had similar positive reviews.
