Brought my mower in, paid $55 to have them look at it; no one calls for 2 weeks, finally go back to the store and learn they want $180 for repairs I didn’t authorize and then refused to give me back my mower. They actually wanted me to pay 230 dollars for a push mower I paid $200 for 6 years ago. I left my mower with them; not worth the hassle. I’m sure they will sell a mower that i paid them to take. Store employees were rude and degrading. I do not recommend this business for anyone. Very shady.

My brand new generator with less than 20hrs suddenly stopped working after I dropped it off here for a recall issue fix. Before I dropped off the generator I had just run a monthly check on it to exercise the motor. I always shut off the fuel and run it dry before I put it away to make sure that there’s no residual fuel that varnish’s because it left idle. Also we have the same model at my job and I know that there’s an issue with the cylinder, where if you don’t run it dry the residual fuel leaks into the crankcase and fouls the oil. So it’s an ingrained habit to run the fuel out of it before shut down. When I picked it up and brought it home it would not start. I have worked on small engines my whole adult life and understand how each part works and goes together. I trouble shot it to a fuel issue and called the shop to see if the recall issue could affect the running. The mechanic said bring it back and he’ll take a look. He works on it for a few minutes and calls me back to look at what he “drained out” of the fuel bowl. It was probably three times the amount of fuel bowls capacity and smelled nothing like fuel, oddly it smelled And looked like pickle juice. He said that it was old gas causing the problem and that it’ll take him about 30 minutes to “clean everything out”. He wouldn’t quote a cost for the “cleaning” but I’m sure it would have been the shop minimum for an hour plus diagnostic fee (about $150), mind you I can purchase a factory OEM carburetor for about $26. I told him I would clean it myself and took it home. Long story short, when I started to take the carburetor apart there was no varnishing anywhere in the bowl, body, needles. Just a small rubbery mass in the main jet that I have never seen the likes of in the 25+ years of rebuilding countless small engine carburetors. It would have taken less than 5 minutes for someone who knows what they are doing to unscrew and foul the jet and replace the parts, so that the engine wouldn’t start. I’m not saying that the shop purposely fouled the jet, but it’s very suspicious. I cleaned the gunk out of the jet and miraculously the generator was purring again. Use this shop at your own risk.

Horrible communication, they just wont call you back. The owner works a couple hours a day only and dodges customers when there is an issue. Quoted one price and invoiced another. They added miscellaneous charges on top of shop fees plus hourly rate plus charges for anything else they can think of. Unethical billing practices plus horrible communication. Do not use.

Great Place! Went in to buy a new Honda HRX mower, they had the mower I wanted and didnt try to upsell! I would definitely comeback, its getting really hard to find a good local mower shop. Thanks for the great experience!

Happily bought my Honda lawnmower from them vs a big box store. Same price but much better service and the reassurance of helping keep a small local independent dealer in business.

While my power washer came out of this shop running better than before, it came at a cost that was way too high. First off they sold me a new carburetor without first contacting me to ask me if I wanted the added cost. Second, they charged 3 times the going costs on every part they put on the machine. Going in I was quoted 120 to 130 bucks. As it was it turned out to be 200. They charged me 18 bucks just for two gaskets for the carb that should have been like 3 bucks. Plus, the gaskets for the new carb always come with it. So why the charge? They replaced a perfectly good air filter charging me 18 bucks for that. And 9 bucks for a half a quart of oil. Verbally over the phone I was told the carb cost 80 bucks. So being a fair guy because I didnt authorize it in the first place I offered to meet them half way and put up half the cost. Once paid for the bill showed a cost of 56 bucks for the carb. So I felt cheated as I paid the majority of cost for the carb. All in all Id recommend taking you equipment to another shop. It takes all of about 1 hour to perform the work that was done on my machine. So I even feel being charged over 80 bucks for labor at 40 bucks an hour was excessive..

I had a simple problem with the pullstart on a minibike (the same as anyother pullstart) and just needed the new pullstart installed or just a tip on where to start and the guy on the phone said he wouldnt even touch it. He was worried about parts even though i had the brand new part in hand. He couldnt get med off the phone fast enough. Wouldnt recommend them to my enemy.
