Been a member of La fitness since 2015. They now have cut hours (closing at 9pm) and overpopulated the gyms so that it’s impossible to come during normal times without it being so crowded you can’t use anything without waiting. Maybe it’s a great gym if you can work out at like 10am or something but for a working adult keep searching. Cutting the rate has gotten so many newcomers with no added equipment, it’s an obvious cash grab with no support for the additional influx of customers. Now to cancel my membership I have to mail certified correspondence to a corporate office.

Ive been a member of this gym for a couple years. Love the atmosphere and dont feel overwhelmed by the equipment. The staff is friendly and are willing to help. I also do personal training twice a week. This has been very beneficial. I actually like going to this gym and Im not considered a gym rat!

Everyone is pleasant. They say they clean equipment every two hours. Ive only seen them clean once in the several years that I go there. They do provide spray bottles of solution to be used before & after you workout.

I dont go to the gym often, but when I do, its to use the treadmill. Love it.

Maybe 40% of people at any given time even carry around masks let alone wear them. If you are comfortable working out with maskless people this is the gym for you. I felt unsafe in this environment as they do not enforce their own mask rules.

Sometimes slow to repair equipment but the staff is friendly and they keep the place clean! Usually not to busy compared to other locations.

Very unprofessional. tried cancelling membership 4x, kept telling me it was taken care of. then they charged my account again. kept getting the run around and had to go out of my way several times to the location to deal with this. 0/10 recommend

Its one of the smaller locations but they are doing outstanding work to fight covid. Drinking fountains are wrapped up except for bottle fillers and I saw the manager himself wiping down machines. If it wasnt so far from me Id go more often.

Beware of this fitness facility! Terrible service!Had to cancel my fitness due to coronavirus and being at high risk.Called numerous times to corporate membership, on hold for over 90 minutes and never reached anyone.The district VP Michael Washington finally called me on 6/8 after a month and told me he would cancel it and that someone would contact me. Never heard from anyone.They billed my credit card again on 6/15 after saying there would be no more billing.Still not resolved!! Beware of this company!John Sams

This is my favorite LA fitness location. The gym itself is amazing and is great for any type of workout program. The staff is the greatest group I have encountered at any gym. Josh and Tim were so helpful with getting my membership setup and talking me though all my options. The entire personal training team is fantastic as well and have been so encouraging and helpful with me to reach my goals!

I had such a lovely experience with LA fitness so far! I actually joined this summer, but at a different location and started coming to the Dublin location. On my first night in, I was introduced to Luke, the GM. He was absolutely wonderful and spent a lot of time with me explaining what my options were for training and working out. I understand that he is a new transfer and I hope hes at this location for a while! Awesome guy and extremely helpful! I am lucky to have met him! The gym also has a very unique layout and is really geared towards personal training. Tons of equipment, weights and space. Rarely ever crowded. Even in the evenings after work, Ive found plenty of space and equipment to get my work outs done! Thanks LA Fitness!

Great place to work out. Friendly staff that also are very professional. I especially am impressed with the Operations Manager, Jackson Katz. Location is always clean and well run and organized. Highly recommend!!

Great gym. Typically not crazy busy. Clean very helpful and friendly staff. I wish they had more stair stepper or the ones with the controls on the handle. But I really dont have any complaints about this gym.

The Britton Road LA Fitness got a new General Manager a few weeks ago. His name is Luke. Ive noticed a big difference for the positive since his arrival. The club seems more upbeat and positive. My son came home from college for winter break and Luke gave him a one month pass which was awesome since my son is a college lacrosse player and needs a gym to go to and complete the mandatory workouts that are required by his coach over winter break. Thanks Luke! You are the best.

Nice place with friendly staff.Has nice equipments and conducts many sessions such as yoga, salsa etc.Only concern is your complaints can take their own sweet time to get resolved . I had applied for all club membership but got enrolled for single club. To get this simple issue rectified took me 2 months and plenty of follow ups . Also I was charged 5$ extra at it’s Hilliard facility in error but it has been 6 months but that hasn’t been refunded .Other than this love the club as it is centrally located and has ample parking.

Former employee of the LA Fitness located on Britton Parkway. Employed at this gym for a little over a year, the gym went through top to bottom staff changes frequently. The environment of the gym is good, and the staff is nice as well. However, the membership team at LA Fitness is always trying to pull something. If youre looking to get a membership at this location, never allow the membership team to right your deal on paper. Meaning dont write down your credit card information on a piece of a paper so they can run it on a later date. They will not protect your card information, the membership team will just throw the deal in their bags and not an a safe. Also, very frequently the membership team will lie about the type of membership your getting to make it more appealing and in hopes getting you to sign up for something that youre not actually getting. Be cautious when signing up and make sure you ask for a copy of your agreement so you know exactly what they are charging you for. Other than the membership team, the gym is ran very well and is a good place to workout!

The cleanest of local clubs. They have a wide variety of elliptical trainers and other aerobic equipment.

This is by far the best LA fitness location! Excellent customer service, especially from the general manger Tim! I love how the gym isn’t crowded and it’s very clean as well. Definitely recommend this gym if you are looking for a place to workout!

Been a member for a while. Remodel done not long ago, really messed up the layout. Took some time to work with new layout. Staff is a revolving door and hit or miss on being worth their weight. During the week the front desk is some quality folks. Weekends a different story. No knowledge of operations or care to answer any questions. Facility is generally clean and hardly crowded. This particular facility is unlike any other la fitness I have been to. Turf strip open layout provided a unique opportunity.Personal trainer goes by Nick is good to go. Wifi is weak.

This gym is always crowded in the evening. No swimming pool or basketball court. Wifi service is present but not good. Apart from that gym has all the equipment you need and it is a pretty good gym to workout and get inspired.

Although this location is a little smaller than some of the others, it is my favorite because it is never too crowded and still has everything you need! This location also has the cardio theater that many of the other locations have done away with-- watching movies makes the workout fly by and they always have an interesting choice playing. This location is always spotless and the staff are all friendly and helpful- Giovanni is one of their salesmen and is willing to go the extra mile for his members. Highly recommend!

If you want to get robbed by strangers that they routinely let into the gym then go here. They hand out passes like its nothing then the people steal your wallets and go around to the mall and other places and rob you. Its happened multiple times and they didnt do anything to stop it. No more passes! Check every person!

Came in from out of town and they really helped me out. Blake and Luke are great dudes. They are really nice guys. I would visit here again. If youre looking for a great gym with friendly staff come here.

This is a hard review to make, Im going to be delicate. The gym itself is very nice, good equipment, a nice selection, always clean, no complaints on that front. As a side note, the Hilliard location is my preferred club strictly from the equipment standpoint. It will make sense shortly why Im saying this. Theres about double of everything in Hilliard, 2 floors vs 1 and great big windows for nice lighting. Now, as for the reason I gave this a 2/5. If Im honest, it deserves a 1/5 for the way I was treated. The nice equipment is the only reason it gets a 2. Long story short, I went in to look at the gym, met with the manager, and he kept trying to sell me after I was visibly uncomfortable. I run my own business, I know the sales tactics. He should have picked up on my physical discomfort (and that of my friend who came with me), or just looked at me and said Hey this guy clearly lifts, lets show him the weights. He looks like he knows what hes doing so if he likes it, hell come here. So, I decided to go to, sign up with and make the Hilliard location my primary gym. I received a call from the Dublin manager a day or two later (not going to say the name, this isnt meant as a personal attack simply informative) asking if I was interested in signing up there. I said No thank you, I signed up elsewhere. I was then hung up on. I called back, asked to speak to him, and tried asking what was the issue and why I was just hung up on. After a few sentenceswere exchanged (polite on both sides to his credit) I was left with I just dont think you understand and was hung up on a second time. I tried calling back a few times, nothing but dial tone. The next day, I went to the gym to workout since despite liking Hilliard more, the Dublin club is closer. Spoke with the manager, greeted him with a big ol smile and a handshake, asked to talk to him to which he replied theres nothing to talk about. We sat in his office, chatted for a few, he was less than happy to see me. I just wanted to see what the beef was, Ill come here from time to time and dont want bad blood. The conversation went for a few minutes with him trying to defend hanging up on me twice, insulting me saying You millennials obviously run on a different code of ethics than I do. Im in my 30s and my generation runs on a code of integrity. I ended the conversation after that statement by just letting him know that if there are any hard feelings, theyre not on my end. Ill be here from time to time and dont want there to be any bad blood between us. Heres where I stop and say Im sure hes a great guy, genuinely. His interactions with the staff looked really pleasant. Its sad mine was this way. And look, I understand theres a commission on memberships. Ive worked commission and run my own business now. But, 1) As a customer, we dont OWE you, the business owner/manager, anything, and 2) If I treated my customers the way he treated me, I wouldnt have a business anymore. Throwing a tantrum because you didnt get your way is no way to run a business. Simple as that.So in short, the gym itself is nice. Your interaction with the manager will probably be fine, just be prepared for every sales tactic in the book to be used on you. Like I said, hes probably a swell guy, I have to share this story since my experience was so obviously not great.

Best gym in Hilliard

Long story short, I felt disrespected and wont go back. Manager has racism issues towards me and my husband. I read a lot of other reviews and they have also been disrespected there for one reason or another.

The gym is well equipped but the price seems to be little high. The staffs are good and well behaved. However the fact that it is not open for 24 hours like other gyms is something to be considered.

The hours of operation are only good for those who dont work. Why would a gym close at 6 on a Saturday? Good luck canceling your membership when you have time. Only the operation manager apparently has that power and you are at their mercy to cancel. Absolute trash policy ran by trash managers and a trash front desk.

I have been a member at LA Fitness for years. I travel a lot and its nice that they have so many locations. About 15 months ago, I switched my home gym from Florida to this one in Columbus because the contract and rates for me were better. I signed up and paid for 2 years up front as a ‘new member,’ which I was fine with. On 6/25/19 I was in town and wanted to EXTEND or RENEW MY CURRENT MEMBERSHIP. I wanted to pay for another 3 years up front (almost 900$) I asked Giovanni Henry time and time again to confirm that I was not starting a new membership and he assured me that’s what he was doing. HE LOOKED ME IN THE FACE AND LIED TO ME OVER AND OVER. After going back today, I got the contract off his desk and took the time to read it closely and it was so disappointing to find out how he lied to me so blatantly. What kind of person can do that? How can you take advantage of someone like that? Not only is Giovanni Henry an incompetent employee, but an absolutely horrible human bean. The level of dis-trust I have for LA Fitness after my experience with Giovanni Henry is such a terrible feeling. I’m not sure I want to stick with LA after my current membership expires in about 9 months. But now I get to call corporate and explain all this to them so they cancel my ‘new’ 3-year membership and try to get them to explain to me how this could have possibly happened in the first place. Just absolutely unbelievable.Aside from Giovanni Henry being a manipulative liar who will say whatever you want to hear to get your money and do the opposite of what he says. But that’s OK because there’s a special place for people like him in hell. But the gym has nice and clean equipment. And as far as LA’s go, they are all consistently pretty decent across the country.

My husband and I moved recently and are no longer near any LA Fitness locations. We have tried multiple times to cancel our membership at this facility and each time we were given an excuse as to why they would not be able to. The first time, the employee said that there is only one member who can cancel and he only works week days from 9-5. The second time we tried canceling the employee was new and had not a clue about the cancellation process. Our overall impression of this location was just ok- They have a decent amount of equipment but not really much to offer as far as amenities go. Because the cancellation process is such a nightmare, I would warn anyone looking to sign up for a gym membership to be wary of this.

The front desk people are nice, the gym is clean. The only problem I have is they do not clean/mop the locker room DAILY., I intentionally left a penny on the floor in the stall by the sauna, 3 days that penny stayed on the floor. Not good a little more mopping and you will get 5 stars.

My rating is based off of an encounter with one of the staff members. The gym itself is pretty nice. However, Giovanni seemed too determined to get me to sign up after I told him several times I did not want to make a financial decision that day and that I only came there for a tour. He was passive aggressive at best. He made comments like why would you not sign up today...everythings lined up; what are you gonna do go home and think about nothing?; sounds to me like youre coming up with an excuse; if you just cant afford it just say it... I have 7 minutes of audio recording to back my claim (should anyone from their staff dispute it). And that was just 7 minutes out of an experience Ill describe as an ordeal. The whole conversation lasted for about 20 minutes!Also, dont badmouth other gyms just for the sake of competition. Its classless.

VERY BAD. THEY CHEATED WITH ME. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.I have been going to this location for almost 2 years.I enrolled for my Personal Training Program on 07/11/2019. However, I gave the notice to cancel this program since I am moving from this location (new location is >25 miles away).I gave this cancellation notice on 07/14/2019 as per the policy. Now I should get the full amount credited to my account since I followed the policy and I provided my proof of change of address to the local club and to Vice President of the Club. However, I am not getting any information about credit the amount back to my account.I submitted the cancellation form to the given location and got email from them saying they will charge for my initial term.I was told that, They will credit the full amount of training program if I give cancellation notice in 3-7 Days. The weird thing is they had controlled on everything while enrolling me in the program and for cancellation they asked me to talk to CORPORATE People to whom I do not even know and they are not even providing me the way to contact them. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO CONTACT TO CORPORATE PEOPLE ??????????NOW, NO ONE IS HELPING ME HERE AT LOCAL CLUB FOR THE CLARIFICATION. I am paying the money for NOTHING here.

The timing is only for people who stay home or 65+ retired folks. Also once you sign up you are like honey trapped for eternity and most of all the Dublin LA fitness doesnt have a Swimming Pool or Racquet ball. Mediocre at best. Snap fitness a mile away is open 24 hrs , moving there!!!

I joined this gym because I was told I could enter with my bike. Despite this promise, however, management refused the entry of my bike later on. I was mislead to believe that this was the right gym for me based on my needs. This is a scam that was done to secure the funds of my entry fee. Please avoid this gym as they will lie to get you to sign and then go back on their promises.

I agree with Denise! The ladies locker room is absolutely disgusting! There is trash in the shower stalls that have been there for over a month proving that even weekly cleaning isnt happening! I cancelled my membership because I need to use the showers in the morning but am afraid Im going to catch something :( Id avoid this club if you can.

I had been going to the Britton Pkwy LA Fitness for almost a year. It was always clean, never too crowded after work (5pm), and everyone was always so nice. I just recently cancelled my membership because the closest LA Fitness after I move will be Goodale and it is terrible. Every time I have went, it is way too overcrowded and theres not enough parking. Cancelling my membership was as easy as going into the Britton Pkwy location between 8a-6p, giving them my ID, and they sent me a confirmation email. So simple. I will miss you LA Fitness!

Very bad management. Would not recommend this place to anybody. They say very big things while signing us up and make cancellation a ridiculous process as if its a rocket science. Better to write up every thing on paper, and not on words.

Awful experience. Moved into town this past weekend and my girlfriend and I were shopping gyms in the area. LA was super close and convenient so we thought we would try it out and see if we could get a workout in before making any commitment. Not only were we refused a workout, but Giovanni repeatedly PUSHED us to join right then and there. He had no charisma and came off as an obnoxious pushy salesman. I had to tell him several times we were not interested in signing up today and minutes later he had the nerve to ask, “So how will we be taking care of the bill? MasterCard, Visa, Discover?” Can’t make it up. We ended up driving down the road to Snap Fitness and their new location at 6246 Corporate Center Dr right off Avery Rd and signed up with after a great experience with Randy, the owner and a great workout free of charge with no initiation fee. By the looks of reviews, I’m not the only one who had issues with Giovanni and LA Fitness.

Good gym for the price, but terrible hours. Me and several others I know have switched gyms to a 24 hour gym in the area. When you close at 6 on the weekends and 10 on the weekdays, its tough to keep customers. Its supposed to be a gym not a post office.

Since Urban Active was acquired by LA Fitness, the closing time has continued to get earlier. Its to the point where the operating hours are disruptive. Unfortunately, I have nothing to say about the actual upkeep of the club until they rectify their operating hours.

Half of your workout will be spent unracking weights because all the men that attend this gym are tools and have a God like superiority and leave their weights for the next person to deal with. The staff is unfriendly as well and the soap and paper towels are never stocked.

Though I never interested in posting reviews but my recent experience making me do so. I signed up in Hillary location for multi club, but for some reason it was shown as single club, after one day I went to Dublin club. Here I was been called by the front desk people when I was in middle of work outs, asked me about my membership details, I explained them I signed up for multi club. The general manager and others there insisted me to cancel my membership at Hillary and start a new application afresh, they didnt even given me time to think and talk to them and they started explaining about the membership prices. They admitted themselves that they take sales as competition with other clubs and told me that other clubs give discounts only to increase the sales. They told me they will charge 5$ if I dont cancel my membership, I was okay for that charge as well, and they told me they cannot change or override my membership. Overall I have very bad experience there, only interested in sales but not on the customer support. I asked them I will go and talk to Hillary club and then take decision by the time I reached Hillary club. Looks like the manager hate Indians..

Plenty of equipment and clean. Right off the highway so easy access.

The bad reviewers never went to the Clifton, NJ location to understand how good they have it. This one is way cleaner, no where near as crowded, and has some things that the NJ sites dont have like trx and the movestrong monkey bar thing. Every time Im in the area, I make time to come here specifically to use that. I wish there was a shake bar though.

Request: can you please install hand railings in the showers and make the floors less slippery? otherwise i really love this place. i had to use the shower at the end since that had railings and an area for me to change clothes. also, need closet hooks in shower to hang up my towel/clothes/backpack....please upgrade showers with improvements, they were unusable except for last one.

These guys are pests. I cancelled the membership and they keep charging my credit card after so many visits to the location. Once the manager was signalling behind my back to not cancel it and just act like it got cancelled my friend saw it from a distance, poor people they thought i came alone. The manager is a short guy around height 56 and in late 40s is the one who was doing it. STOP cheating people.

You got to stay fit. Only thing lacks is more bench and more lifting equipment.

Probably a great place to work out and the worst staff to work with. They mislead me into a 2 year contract when I specifically mentioned that I will be working out only for 4 months. Now they ask me to pay the buy-out fee. Similar incident happened with my brother-in-law, who was mislead into the contract by saying we are doing it for few months as you mentioned but they end up trapping you into a long term one so that you will be bound to pay them. And they try to create some haste and fuss when ur doing it so that you dont get time to read all of it. I would recommend go somewhere else and not come here! save your money! save yourself some stress of being trapped!

LA Fitness is spacious, clean, and provides many convenient amenities like a indoor basketball court, wide array of specialized equipment, sauna and personal TVs mounted on some cardio machines. The membership fees arent bad but Id have to say the most disappointing factor is that such a modern state of the art fitness center doesnt provide its customers with the simple service of wireless internet. Overall Id have to say Im satisfied with my experience, Id just like to see at least one rowing machine, public WI-FI and more personal interaction between trainers and members.

Before LA Fitness bought out Urban Active, the locker rooms were cleaned EVERYDAY. The showers were clean, the sinks were clean, the floors were swepted and mopped and NOW.....it is the most disgusting place I have ever been in. The shower stalls havent been cleaned in MONTHS. The floors are just filthy. Who knows what kind of bacteria is growing in the shower stalls. One of the shower stalls has a drain that is clogged and hair is all floating around, it is just gross!! The clock in the locker room is broken and doesnt work, the light bulbs are never replaced. The cleaning solution bottle in their theatre doesnt work, so you cant even clean your machine properly when you are done working out. I wonder what the health department would say if they came in for an inspection? Have I complained? OH yes I have. Have they done anything? They cleaned the sink area and pushed some powder that was on the floor around but never mopped, or cleaned the shower stalls. Now, ask me how I know they havent cleaned?? I purposely left a tag from a new shirt I bought in the corner of a shower stall. It is still there...OH yes it is and has been for at least 6 weeks!!

Hours of operation are so poor for night folks. Even though I can go around 9pm weekdays thats out of the question for weekends (closes at 6pm). Plus they blocked off the PT section with a passive-aggressive sticker which part of me gets, but that removed one of two cable machines. I wont be staying long now.

The cancellation policy is the worst and the business model they have is the worst,the club has very good facilities but has bad managers who manipulate you with fake promises regarding the contract.the training is $50 per session which is too expensive and the training is a 1 year contract and we can’t break the contract which is ridiculous I can’t understand why there is a contract even for training.if a contract is kept with membership it’s understandable.the manager manipulated me with fake promise that I can cancel the training contract with out fees and then lied later which is unethical and fraudulent
