I find Wignall to be a very good basic pet care clinic and hospital. The big thing for me is that they are full service and care about my dogs. They are also not afraid to refer you elsewhere when the care requires specialization. If I had one complaint, it is the cost of simple services. I do not however find the costs to be outrageous, just a bit more than others. Boarding services are awesome, vets and staff are caring, and I find them to go out of their way when helping with information.

I am very grateful that Wignall was willing to take my pet on as a new patient with short notice, particularly since many neighboring animal hospitals are operating at capacity with no openings for new patients. My pet needed urgent treatment and Wignall reached out to extend both comprehensive and compassionate care, immediately. I found the pet treatment plan offered, fostered partnering between pet owner and attending veterinarian (Dr Cringan), keeping up the likelihood of a positive outcome.

We recently had to bring Buddy in for a final visit to Wignalls Animal Hospital. Although we knew that the condition that he had would ultimately be his last, the staff and Dr Thompson were awesome. They helped us through the difficult diagnosis and process. The treatment that he was given during this trying time was second to none. They were extraordinary in the means to prolong his life as long as was humanely possible. In the end the care and love they showed for Buddy will never be forgotten! See you around pal!!

Terrible care. Brought my dog in to be checked for an issue, she came out limping. When pressed for information we were given inconsistent information and that she somehow fell off the exam table. So you’re leaving an animal on a tall surface alone?? When my dog was dying from terminal cancer and was trying to ensure she wasn’t in too much pain they made me jump through hoops. They cared more about her liver levels, not even important at that stage in her illness, they were passive aggressive/rude because I went to an emergency vet, basically accused me of abusing pain medications for myDog. My family has gone to this vet for a long time, will be switching all of their care from this. It is really disappointing to see the decline in quality veterinary care.

DO NOT USE THIS AS YOU ANIMAL HOSPITAL, we had been taking our dog there since she as born ( shes is 8 now) and slowly the service started to worsen. Recently scheduled a standard nail trim and rabbis shot. When I went it with the doctor I was then attacked with other things she needed and was not prepared to spend almost $1,000 that they had not informed me about. IN addition they tricked me into buying a $150 pill for my perfectly healthy dog which she did not need. Worst part is that we left keeping in mind we came in for a simple nail trim AND THEY DIDNT EVEN TRIM THER NAILS! never going back horrible service, clearly no communication between the staff.

The service was great. The doctors are awesome. When your pets are in their care, rest assure that they are being totally attended to and cared for. They are always constantly keeping you informed and up to date with what is going on with your pet. They will call you and check up on your pet. What I like most about Wignall Animal Hospital is the fact that you get to speak directly to the doctor. This is the BEST place for your pet to receive care👍👍

I recently moved to the area and my dog became very sick. He was vomiting and very lethargic. My friend told me to call here as she uses them for daycare and I am so happy I did. The receptionist that took my call was so helpful, booked me for the same day and then helped me submit my invoice to the pet insurance complany. Dr. Demarco was amazing, answered all my questions and made me feel at ease, even though I couldnt be in the facility with my baby. Thank you Wignall.

Initially switched to Wignall for convivence since we live in Dracut. One of our pets has skin allergies/seizures and has been quite a lot of work to keep up with over the years. One of the Vet’s at the hospital has been excellent, but that’s where it stops. On another recent visit with another vet, it felt more like bringing a car into an oil change and being upsold for services. The vet went through a litany of services that could be done, all of which had already been done. She continually asked about his medical history all which Wignall has and should have been reviewed before the visit. Left a very bad feeling after the visit. Also, the Vet made a unilateral decision to take him off his seizure medicine without informing us. Why would a vet risk a pets life without talking to the owners. With the last visit, the vet was a bit nicer but didn’t address the issue with the dog. The Vet indicated that dog has an ear infection but didn’t offer any treatment. Three days later the dog was tilting his head and his eye where twitching. After calling Wignall, they indicated to bring him into an emergency facility if we felt he needed to be. We are not Vets, which is the reason why we call one for advice. Eventually brought the dog to another emergency Vet who was excellent and informed us of several issues going on which the initial vet didn’t catch. Wignall one point did call and leave a message and stated that the dog might be suffering from his disease and to go to an emergency room. What disease? They never told me he had a disease. Bottom line spent $1000 for two emergency visits that could have been done in one with Wignall. The vet in practice makes you feel like they are there just for money and not because of the love of a pet. There are much better options out there. Stay away and find another vet.

I love this vet hospital so much for my four legged friend! I recently switched from one of their sister hospitals (yikes) and I’m so happy to be here! This is a great place with great people! My dog can be a little nervous coming to a vet and I feel so confident with the people at Wignall to care for my boy!Even starting with the front desk staff, they were so amazing and kind and helpful. I wanted information on boarding and they were able to help with everything! The tech and doctor were also amazing and I am so happy with their services! They could see my boy was nervous and they helped him out and made him feel comfortable with the situation. It was only an annual appointment with a few shots and they were so good with him!I’m extremely confident in the staff at Wignall and am glad I made the switch! I am so happy to be bringing my dog here!

We had the misfortune of having our six-month-old Weimaraner swallow a 2 rock while having Thanksgiving at our sons house. The intestinal obstruction could have killed him. Of course, we didnt know what was wrong at the the time and our vet told us to seek treatment immediately. Its always scary to try to find someone in a strange place but we are so happy we went to Wignall. They had us come in immediately and worked us in as soon as possible. He was in for surgery a couple hours later. The staff was exceptional in their care and concern for our pup and Dr. Thomas did a great job on the surgery. We have some recovery to do back home but we are very thankful Wignall was there for us.

They have gone way down hill. We used to love it here. Now they are all about the $$$. They seem to care way more about dogs than cats. Every time we would go it was more and more money. Needed to get x-rays for cat and was told we couldnt just make an appointment on a weekend or night for that. They said we needed to drop him off and leave him. Weird but fine. I asked if we would need to pay more or a boarding fee because of leaving him as it was their requirement. I was assured no over the phone but then when time for appointment came was told otherwise. This happened more than once. When explaining this we were told that that was not told to us. BS! So my wife and myself both confirmed it on two different calls and now we are being told we are lying! We had enough with them and have moved on to Lowell Road Vet Center and are very happy.

My dog was a patient at Wignall since he was a puppy. Never really needed any serious care until he developed a limp in his right side hind leg. My wife bought him in for an exam and they scheduled an x-ray. After paying for an x-ray with anesthesia he was diagnosed with left side hip dysplasia. I was confused because he was limping on his right leg. After a while the limp got worse so I bought him back complaining about his right leg and the doctor said Yes, I can see the muscle degradation. After another exam I he was prescribed over $500 in pain and hip medications. The pain continued to get worse to the point where he could not even use the leg. I decided to bring him to another vet and just by walking him down the hall they said they didnt think it was his hip at all but his knee. An x-ray confirmed he had two torn ligaments in his right knee. I feel I, and even worse my dog was mistreated by Wignall. I was left feeling all they care about is money. I have not and will never return there again. I urge you not to go there if you care about your pet.

It pains me to write a bad review, but I just want to save others the agony that we have gone through. First and foremost, I would like to say not one staff member has been rude or treated my pet unfairly. We are new to the area and took our doggo in for a sick visit. We were asked if we wanted to sign up for the wellness membership, which we agreed to since it would save us money on vaccines as well as vet visits. I also asked for flee/tick and heart gaurd. At the the end of the visit we were instructed to come back in a few weeks for a follow-up vaccine and paid the amount due.A week later we received a bill in the mail for the balance, which came as a shock because we were under the impression we paid the full amount while at the office. We did not receive an invoice at checkout though, and noticed on the bill sent via mail, we had been charged for everything, visit and vaccines, but had not been added for the wellness membership. When returning back, I brought it up to the staff, and they responded its because your dog came in for a sick visit and not a wellness check up so that visit would not have been applicable for the wellness membership. The staff agreed to have a manager call us to review the bill and changes and we would hold off paying for her current vaccination round until we had an answer.Never received a call, but we did receive another bill with interest applied. I called and this time and had to voice my concerns around how the situation was handled. The person who answered the phone very politely advised me that a manager would call us today. We still have yet to receive a phone call.Unfortunately, this will be my last attempt to get this settled and just pay the bill. But we will not be returning to Wignall.

The office visit here and the tests cost more then they do in Andover... it’s not just about the money but I felt because they were 20 more on everything it adds up to an extra $100 a visit very quickly. Also my dogs a rescue who is very scared but sweet. When I went to their sister Vet the techs were much better with him. They were so weary of him here that they muzzled him and he sensed their fears and flipped out. At Clark’s their sister Vet they were able to get a cone on him no problem without a muzzle...these girls couldn’t even do it. The Dr left the room and seemed stressed long before that even happened because it seemed she felt we were taking up too much time. The techs were very sweet but they honestly didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing and had to keep going to ask the Dr my questions when she had left. I have yet to find a Vet I feel has good techs and a good Dr...I am going to try the one on River Rd in Andover I hear they’re more affordable and very experienced. My dog has never acted up that way before he was so upset. The last vet we went to even squeezed his wound and they didn’t muzzle him. I just didn’t “feel the love” so to speak here and I really wouldn’t suggest people that have a trauma rescue like mine to go here.

Its hard to grade Wignall because theres good and bad things about it. The vets are usually good with the dogs and theyre pretty straight forward, so I am happy with that but I do find that sometimes they push certain things at the pet parents to make money. The last few years it has been the medication. Big pharma is paying them (or maybe just the vets) big bucks to push products and brands that with a little research you find arent even good. The customer service has also started to lack. Hard to find appt times and just not well treated when trying to ask questions or figure things out. They have always been pricey but its definitely getting worse. As a consumer, having my dogs as patients, I would rather have honest care than someone with an agenda so I am currently on the fence with them. I wouldnt not recommend them, but I will say to beware if you do go there! For more specialized things and emergency please seek out Mass Vet in Woburn and for exotic pets definitely look for a vet that specializes on those.

I am absolutely livid and I beg anybody who is thinking of taking their small animals here to go elsewhere (I personally highly recommend Northside Animal Hospital in Manchester, they have 2 very friendly, bright, experienced exotic vets who err on the side of caution). Doctor, if you read this, never forget that you are solely responsible for Harolds death, and maybe soon my other boy Chives because hes extremely depressed without his best friend. I wouldnt trust these people with my babys care more than I would Donald Trump. Worst exotic vet Ive ever been to. Certainly will never be back.

I found out why I pay to have my dog put to sleep to be groomed and he is never done well. They give their groomers too many pets to do in a day. This is why groomers do not last long at Wignalls. They are money hungry and do not care about your pets. I pay about $200 for him to be put to sleep and then woken up, not including the groom. My dog is a rescue dog from the humane society and he was abused so he does not like grooming. He is maltese and jack russel terrer. He has hair instead of fur so it grows. One time my dog still smelled terrible. They did not even wash his face. He never got a bath. I brought him to another groomer who worked at wignalls, she bathed him. I am done with wignalls and all the money it costs to give him every shot because he is being groomed. It costs me with shots and grooming over $400 and then he is not groomed properly. I do not blame the groomers anymore. Shame on you Wignalls!!

I brought my dog into wignall in 2014 because he was having eye problems. Over the course of two years I brought my dog in multiple times and the vets prescribed my dog antibiotics and other types of medicines without doing any kind of exams whatsoever. Finally after 2 years of bringing my dog to wignall same exact eye problem over and over again I notice that he had somewhat of a film over his eye and that his eye looked enlarged. brought him back into wignall. The vet finally decides after over two years of seeing him that shes going to perform an eye pressure test. my dog has now been diagnosed with glaucoma. I believe that the glaucoma could have been caught sooner if the vet would have performed some kind of testing on my dog rather than just looking at him and misdiagnosing him. In total Ive been bringing my dog to wingall for four and a half years and i feel like all i have to show for it is thousands of dollars spent and a dog that has been suffering needlessly for too long.
