Adam and Shari at Star Auto Works were fantastic to work with. I found the car online and bought it from a state away. They organized the sale, talked to my bank, and I signed everything electronically from the comfort of my couch. The car arrived as advertised and my daughter is out enjoying it as we speak. It’s only been a few days, so I’m still waiting for the title, but have no doubt it will arrive shortly.

Terrible experience. First off, I had called ahead to make an appointment and make sure I could be treated with the adequate attention and not catch them during a busy time. Upon arriving I was not even greeted. No hand handshake, no warm welcome. Just a lousy “Ill help you after I finish”. We began talking and I asked pretty basic questions about the car like “what are the approximate servicing fees etc and the sales representative was clueless. Could not give me an approximate answer on some question and on others he had to google the questions. I gave him to okay to run my credit to see what the approximate financing details would be. Going in I had already reviewed my credit and had a good idea of where I stood which is why I even agreed to the credit pull. Upon running my credit they did not want to provide the quote details unless I verbally agreed to putting a downpayment on the car. They tried to feed me some BS saying that in order to get the financing details they would need to personally call the lender and to do that I had to agree to essentially buy the car without even knowing the details of the payment. All in all it was a complete and utter waste of my time, would not recommend it to anyone unless you want to agree to buying a car with being provided the details first.

My interaction with Star Auto Works was nothing short of fantastic! To begin with Dominic was very responsive and helpful over email (as well as later on when I was there). When I initially got there Adam helped me and showed me the car I eventually bought. He answered any and all questions I had. Overall it was a great experience that was worth the 45+ minute drive out there.

At first i dreaded having to go to the dealer cause it’s always a long process when buying a new car but the process was easy, smooth and i have to say it was fairly quick. I had the pleasure of working with Adam and Shadi and they were both a delight! They were very helpful and informative, straight to the point, no hassle, no gimmicks. Recently purchased a vehicle. So far so good, however i am here to rate the purchasing experience and not the car. Sales associate Adam is great as a lot of people have already commented here, when you get to the purchasing part and have to deal with other people is when it gets ugly. There is a lack of human touch, no sense of customer service whatsoever, their thirst for the money comes out of their eyes and don’t even explain you things when signing anything. Guy in there which i don’t even recall his name is so pushy and rude, i had a hard time trusting this guy. I liked the car and it ended up buying but i was not happy with the way they handle business there. Now, i don’t doubt they have good quality inventory there but the customer service aspect needs a lot of work. Very few times you spend 15k on something and get treated like you are asking for a favor. Hope this is taking for what it is, a constructive criticism and feedback.

I dread the purchase process from a used car dealer, or any car dealer for that fact. I approached them a bit hostile you know. Yet the more I learned about the car I ended up purchasing and the more I learned I found they are straight forward. No BS. No hidden BS on the car or the deals. Bought a BMW M6 from them. It is exactly as advertised if not better and I got it for a very fair price. I would deal with them again and recommend them.

Finance manager or whoever he is ended up hanging up on me. Huge red flag!!!! Definitely wont be doing business with this place especially during a pandemic. Will take my many thousands of dollars elsewhere, I suggest you do the same. Run away from this place!Never got to the point of seeing the carfax, but my guess is that the car I wanted had been in an accident... lots of these lots work this way.Insanely unprofessional!!!! Who hangs up on a customer? The shady car salesman that knows hes dealing with a person if intelligence... thats who!

Absolutely terrible company which has left me with a sick feeling for anyone who chooses to do business with this joke of a car dealership. I was sold a Mini Cooper which stopped running within 24 hours of purchase. After going back to the dealership to put the 500 mile return clause into action, I was scammed by the crooks who had sold the car. I was only given a portion of the money back even though I had done everything right. I am saddened to see someone take advantage of others like this and I would truly recommend that nobody even considers making a purchase from this from this dealership.

Worst experience. I have previously purchased 2 vehicles (not at this dealer) and I attempted to purchase my 3rd here as I no longer have any pending loans. I was told on 4/29 I was approved and could go test drive and sign the contract. I did that 4/30 test drive , signed AND provided the down payment, only to be sent home to “wait” finally on 5/4 i was contacted by the finance center (Capital One) and was asked for copy of proof residency such as gas bill or light bill , I provided early in the morning . Next day no update. On 5/5 I get a call from the dealer asking AGAIN for the proof of residency and I provided it AGAIN. On 5/6 and 5/7 STILL no update. 5/8 I get a call from the dealer telling me I must call capital one and say I have possession of the vehicle (I did NOT have possession of vehicle) by end of day I get a text message from dealership telling me I need to provide my Green card !! This was beyond frustrating . I have never had this type of problem , I provided DL, social card , paystubs proof of residency and here we are over a week later STILL no car, I call capital One and they say I’m approved nothing is pending and they are just waiting for me to take possession so that they can pay the dealership.! This is a joke. I now have canceled continuing this transactionOh and let’s not forget the day I went to sign the contract , the person assisting was very serious, none informative and seemed to get frustrated when I asked questions regarding the warranty of the car. The only person here with good customer service was the sales man Adam very kind and answered all questions I had about the vehicle. . 5/11 still no update on my refund. I called and was tolled they would look into it and call back.. nothing no call back. This is ridiculous.UPDATE 6/6/2020 in response to your below reply. please note if you are insinuating that it was now my credit ..that was the issue witch it wasnt than that would also show how unorganized you are to have me do an application say im approved let me drive 1 hour to you, leave my deposit and wait over a week to say i cant get the car. the issue in my post was not about me not walking out with a car. as i mentioned i have many cars already. the issue here was your lack of response , customer service and when I was the one calling for update No one seem to know what was going on and kept asking for the same thing over and over again as if you lost my documents and lets not mention asking me to lie to capital one and tell them i had possession of the car when I DIDNT . yes thank you for refunding my down payment 1 week after requesting , i only got a call being threaten with my down payment release until i removed my post. i was also being threaten with legal action if i didnt remove. you must have forgot i work in Mortgage lending. Im not an uneducated person that doesnt know her rights. this has been weeks now i dont see why you are still fighting this instead of just apologizing for the worst service i received.

Our original meeting with the general sales manager was very nice very helpful with things going on with this car test drive was very smooth. Nash was very helpful and polite. We bought the car and a couple days later the issues started. Purchased this vehicle 14 days ago when I test drove vehicle felt fine, drove well. 4 days after purchasing the vehicle it started projecting bluish grey smoke out of the exhaust pipes and was consuming a lot of oil. We also started hearing a very slight knocking noise we didnt think to much on. Called the dealership and let them know about the smoke and they then referred us to the BMW dealership. Went to dealership they had a campaign for this particular problem and it would be covered minus a diagnostic fee of $185.00 we would have to pay out of pocket. We then got the car back a week later and the knocking now, was very loud. We were also informed by BMW that our bank 1&2 turbo lines were leaking. So we reached out to the dealer again and told them the BMW dealership said the lines were leaking and we were hearing a loud knocking. The dealership asked us to bring the car back so we did to be told we now would have to pay $800 because both rear shocks were broken. Tried to reason with them they were only willing to take another $100 off the $800. We asked for the full inspection report they couldnt provide us with one we were told they have to look through there files. We told them we would be contacting BBB and attorney general and they asked us to leave there property. (DAY 2 after posting this review!!) So when I thought my experience couldn’t get any worse today. I received a call from the dealership today. The call was to see how they could resolve our issue due to posting a negative review. We listened to what they had to say. We tried to come to a reasonable resolution without having to come up with an expense of $800 on top of the $185 we had already spent on the first repair. After listening to the representative we tried to voice our opinion and how we felt. We were constantly cut off not even given the chance to speak. We then had advised them we had a family member who works for a dealership and could get us the parts for a cheaper price. we also had a family member who was a licensed mechanic and would be performing the repairs for us. They’re response was “I’m so glad you have gotten it taken care of by yourself so it seems that you have got it handled”. We were then asked to remove our bad review and we refused as we were not satisfied with there customer service we had experienced. We did handle the situation ourselves left with no real choice. We feel more comfortable not having any more contact with this dealer. Adding in the experience we had the day prior. When we refused to remove the review we were then yet again insulted. We were told that if we would like to use “ a boofoo company” as they said. That is of our own choice. Being insulted like this is personal, for this so called “boofoo company” is our families helping us. We then told them we would no longer be contacting them for any issues with the vehicle or doing business with them. They only seemed concerned with getting us to remove our negative review not resolving the issue. Very disappointed. IF YOU WOULD NOT LIKE TO BE PERSONALLY ATTACKED OR JUDGED DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!

I like the car very much. However, the experience was the most difficult car buying experience Ive ever had. I was looking for a very specific car that is 12 years old with low miles on it. Ive been looking for the past 3 years actually. They rarely come up, so I stuck out the process with this dealer, otherwise I would have just walked out.Star Auto tired to sell me a car that had a steering wheel wobble due to a bent wheel. Additionally, all four tires had tread that was just slightly above the wear bar. In the end I got the car Id been searching for, but what a hassle - 3 visits, 3 test drives and 7 hours! BTW, the loaner car they gave me (long story) had several problems too. I would not trust their mechanical inspection and recommend you go to a third party for an inspection. If they cant detect a car that wobbles going down the road, what else could they miss?UPDATE 1:Im posting this review on Google after originally posting it on CarGurus website where I found Star Auto Works. Im lowering by 1 star because the sales person called me and tried to buy a review change on CarGurus after seeing that I only gave them two stars there. Buyer beware, these guys are shaddy.UPDATE 2I tried to be as truthful as I could without getting into the nitty gritty details, but since youve decided to argue with me here goes.The reason you had to change the tires on my car is because you tried to sell me a car with bald tires and a bent wheel. And youre insinuating I should be thankful that you used the tires from my car. Gee thanks. Oh, BTW the rental car, which was one of your lot cars for sale, also had a steering wheel wobble. Clearly, you didnt just miss this issue in my car. Its an indication thst you will stiff your customers however you can to save a few bucks, despite this being a safety issue.Technically, I called the idea that we could test drive a car at 50 miles an hour on a Friday evening in a snow storm stupid. I stsnd behind thst statement. Your manager had me drive 30 min to your shop so I can test drive the car a second time with MY TIRES on it this time. If you knew it was going to take 2 hours just to swap tires, which I cant really understand, why did you have me drive out there, and then think it would be worthwhile taking a test drive in the snow at 5 p.m. on a Friday? Sorry, I do find that stupid.Lastly, I decided to respond to your response today after so much time because when I went to go replace the rear brakes today, which lasted 4 k miles from the time you sold me the car, I realized there was no key to the lug nut lock. We both know you had it, since you did in fact change the tires on the car for me.Also, on the test drive I mentioned to your sales manager that I could hear road noise more clearly in this new car then in my same make and model car that I was trading in. He said he didnt hear it. A few weeks later at high speeds on the highway, I was certain that this car was louder. I took it to a local body shop, and they confirmed that the car had been in an accident and the door was not adjusted correctly. They fixed it for me in 10 minutes.I dont disagree that you guys find some nice cars. I just found my experience with you very distasteful.
