Took me 20 minutes at the showroom to pick the correct car. Andres handled all the paperwork for me and delivered the car the next day without any issues. The smoothest buying experience I ever have.Free oil change the first time and free car washes too. Hope that my experiences will still be positive when I bring the car over for maintenance and washing.

Wow. Place has changed. Bought car here awhile ago and had good experience. Just stopped in because I’m having some errors appear on dash. Girl at service desk was very rude. Acted like they were too busy for something like this and said it would be at $80 just to look at it if they could even get it in.

Had yet another fantastic experience with Jesse at Pugi Mazda. Jesse facilitated the entire transaction over the phone, reserved the vehicle I selected, and had my paperwork ready for signing upon my arrival. I was in and out within 30 mins. Jesse was equally as impressive with this purchase as my last 2 with him. I had a great experience working with Randy at Pugi Mazda! He gave me the best price out of all the dealerships I contacted, and although Pugi didn’t have the exact car I wanted, Randy was able to bring it in from another dealership. The car arrived quickly, and on the day of purchase, Randy arranged for the service department to take a look at the car, and I was able to talk to them directly so they could answer my remaining questions. Randy was attentive, and great with following up, but I never felt pressured, which I really appreciated. I had a pretty bad experience with another dealership, especially when it came down to negotiating and getting close to the final steps. Every step of the process at Pugi was a positive experience for me, and I truly felt that Pugi valued my business. That’s why I ultimately chose to purchase from them. I bought my Mazda from a different dealership and had to come here for a tire warranty. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The technician offered to stay late to help, which was very kind. Unfortunately I needed a brand new tire, but they got it in the next day and was able to squeeze me in and get it fixed within an hour. Came back here for my oil change since I felt like everyone was helpful and I trust them. They only recommend things necessary and don’t pressure to make a decision. Very thankful for the staff as I have other friends that have been taken advantage of at car dealerships and accrued unexplained expenses.

I visited a lot of dealers in the last month! Some, you walk in and you feel like walking right out without the time of day if you know what I mean. Felt right at home at Pugi Mazda. No pressure. Offered water and use of facilities as we waked in, met Jesse quickly with appointment and sent off on a test drive by ourselves in a used Mazda CX5. A Shout out to Jesse in sales and Katie in finance for a smooth transaction all the way through. Over and beyond service from both friends!My daughter now happy I returned little over a week later and purchased a new car. Texted ahead, took for test drive and settled! Both Jesse and Katie (knowing we picked busy days) really showed they cared, took their time with us and wanted to meet our needs in any way they were able. Usually good however extremely long wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for just an oil change with an appointment. Also, recommended service that was done a few months ago so not sure if they are checking or not. No explanation or apology for the long wait. Not sure if will return to their service department.

My car unfortunately got totaled during one of the winter storms in February. During my car search, I checked out Pugi Mazda and worked with Andres, and he was nothing but awesome from the start. He kept in touch and checked in with me without being pushy whatsoever. I looked at a few other dealerships and SUVs, but I ended up coming back to Pugi Mazda a week later and buying the 2021 CX-5 and absolutely LOVE it!! The entire team at Pugi was amazing and very straight forward throughout my car buying experience. Top notch customer service. 10/10 would recommend going to Pugi for your next car!

Hassle free car purchase through Costco program. Even before using Costcos program we went in for a test drive. No hassles, they explained what we wanted to know and let us take the drive out on the highway. A few weeks later found the Costco program and well now we have a new suv. Friendly staff, clean facility, both of sales and finance took time to explain things and make the process as easy as possible.

Worst car negotiating experience possible. The sales managers were both extremely aggressive, rude, unprofessional, threatening, and downright abusive. One (Billy) made me cry and then said, Jesus! under his breath as he walked away when I asked for space. To make it worse, when we confronted him about the way he was acting, he denied his behavior, denied his anger management issues, denied my experience as a customer, and denied he was in any way at fault for how the negotiating process went down. No apology whatsoever. When we asked for his business card to report his behavior to corporate, he refused to give it to us. To top things off, the other manager rudely kicked us out immediately at closing time when she figured out we were going to walk.We did walk. Continental Mazda got the SAME EXACT PRICE we negotiated at Pugi for the SAME EXACT CAR, only they treated us with respect and care throughout the whole process. What a difference good customer service makes! I was happy to give Continental my business! Dont waste your time with the stereotypically snakey car salespeople at Pugi. Go over to Continental - get the deal you want, the respect EVERY customer deserves, and give your hard-earned money to people who deserve it.By the way, Pugi, knowing it was me who wanted to buy the car, refused to release the car so that Continental could sell it to me. These children cant play nice in the sandbox. Luckily, Continental has dedicated salespeople who found the car I wanted at another dealership and personally ported the car for me. If Pugi has the car you want, spare yourself - go to another dealership and ask them to port the car from Pugi to their dealership so you can have a GOOD car-buying experience.Summary: Pugi lost a sale to Continental purely because of their sales managers behavior and attitudes.

I am a healthcare worker and went in for the essential car care program. At first trying to schedule it to get an oil change was a hassle cause they were first telling me it was only covered up to 40 dollars. I said I don’t remember seeing that. Then they asked “you aren’t getting synthetic are you?” And I said that’s what my car is supposed to get. They said just bring it in. Whatever, I figure it’s new so everyone is learning. I brought it in and everything seemed okay. I asked if they could look at my key fob cause the spring that shoots up the key gets stuck and I have to dig it out of the fob. They said no problem. It was done in about an hour like they said. They told me my key cannot be fixed and to cut and program one it was going to be 175 dollars. (Did they even look at it?). I said no thank you. To top everything off, when I left and signed the paper work I didn’t even know there was a check list stapled the wrong way when I signed the invoice (which I didn’t have to pay so that was good). When I got home, I got the wrong check list! Another customers information (phone number, name, VIN number, tag number and email) was stapled to my invoice! I usually don’t write reviews but this experience was kind of a downer. When it’s time for a new car I might look elsewhereEDIT: I updated my review because Gary called me personally after this and said he would take care of me himself. He apologized for how everything went down and to call him back to set him a time for me to come so he could fix it for me. Now it’s just finding a time to go, but I’m very appreciative about the follow up!

Buying a car for the first time during a pandemic is stressful, but my wife and I were very glad we found Pugi Mazda. A special thank you to Jose and Jesus for the service.We had visited 2 other Mazda dealers, both were difficult to work with and unwilling to negotiate at all. When we came to Pugi Mazda, we didn’t have a specific car to check out and it was an hour before closing, but Jose worked with us, heard what we were looking for, and showed us what he had in stock that met our needs. We put out an offer on a used 2017 CX-5 we liked, and Jesus (the sales manager) worked with us and negotiated a price we were comfortable with. When we discovered a small chip in the windshield the same day after driving off the lot, Jose continued to work with us to schedule service to get it fixed.All around really positive experience. We felt comfortable the whole time, no real pressure at all, and pricing was clear and transparent. Would recommend.

Needing an oil change I inquired and immediately received a response from the dealership located down the street from me. I spoke with Karolina N and she was extremely nice and accommodating during the whole experience. I was able to get the service done fairly quick and for free which is always nice. Karolina explained everything in detail to me and even though I do not own a Mazda, due to this experience I am more than likely to return when preparing to purchase another car.

I purchased a new Mazda 3 yesterday. I worked with Anthony and it was a great experience. The dealership was very comfortable. Unlike other dealerships where the sales people are hovering around the front door, sometimes even outside, Pugi was very relaxed. Their prices were lower than other local dealerships. The financing process was extremely quick and painless. Katy did a great job and was even able to beat the rate I had from my own bank. I walked out with the exact car I wanted, at a price lower than I was willing to pay, and at a rate lower than I expected to get. I highly recommend Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!I was interested in a CX-5 that I wanted to see and buy. I reached out to the dealership on Tuesday night to schedule a test drive the next day (Wednesday). Amanda responded to me saying that the car is available and waiting on me.On Wednesday, after an hour drive that was full in anticipation we arrive at the dealership only to be told the car sold LAST Saturday and their inventory wasnt updated!!!! but we have a few other cars that might interest you... they told me.No, I was interested in the car I wanted and inquired about apparently 3 days after it was sold and was told that it was still available.

Yesterday I went with my car Mazda RX8 2004 for check engine light on around 5:10. They told me they were going to check it and the service cost is 80 dollars and it would take 45 minutes, after 5 minutes they return with my keys and They tell me that the service manager said that a mechanic had an emergency and couldnt check my car about check engine on, they apologized and they returned my keys at 5:17, so they no have service after 5 available beacuse dont have mechanics, and just say come back tomorrow after 9 ... bad services.

I went to the dealership today to test drive a car. Although the CX- 5 and CX-9 were at the top of my list, I would never buy a car without a test drive first. With mask on I entered the showroom and was approached by a man with his mask under his nose and so loose I could see his lips. I was surprised as I thought most businesses were working hard on making it safe to do business with them. When I asked him to please put his mask over his nose as I was older with health concerns he asked very rudely, Then why are you here?! I was completely taken aback and replied because I want to buy a car! Not only was I told to go elsewhere, he stood in the window and pointed at me and laughed as I got in my car. I highly suggest you car shop where you are appreciated.

I don’t know that I can adequately explain how grateful I am for the amazing service Pugi Mazda provides. I had an unbelievably horrific experience with an independent auto shop in the city. Once I rescued my poor car I took it straight to Pugi (which is where I should have gone in the first place.) My service advisor, Karolina, was incredibly kind and understanding. She did an incredible job of keeping me updated and explaining the details of what exactly was being done and what I was being charged for. I had a lot of questions and concerns, all of which were addressed in detail by the technician and printed on my invoice. It’s amazing how much safer your car feels when you can understand everything that was done during your service and clearly the staff at Pugi gets that. Fast and inclusive service, friendly and understanding staff all for LESS THAN 1/3 of what the other guys quoted! I will never ever ever take my car anywhere other than Pugi. THANK YOU!!!!!

Upon initial experience the dealership was great and the salesman were very helpful. We got the car we wanted for a reasonable price and were happily out the door. However we had a few things we wanted to change and needed to contact the dealership again and they were virtually gone. We sent emails and made phone calls for weeks without anyone getting back to us. When we finally got through to someone they said they would need to check on a few things and call back and then never called back. This went on for a few months and finally we told them we were going to be coming back into town and would stop by to get all this taken care of. They responded almost immediately and got us the paperwork to sign. Then they disappeared again saying they would keep us updated (they havent).Update [10.31.2018]: They still hadnt gotten back to us a week after posting the initial review despite numerous calls and talking to Chad who I believe was the manager. Called numerous times and left messages with multiple salesmen and no one ever called me back. Then we finally had it and contacted the general manager through email (as we could never get him on the phone - always went to voicemail) and it got taken care of in a few days. Still cant believe how ridiculous it was that the manager on the floor or any salesman would never call me back.

It is a relaxed atmosphere that transcends the typical negative feelings one gets when attempting to navigate the dealer system. Rude salesman, kept calling me after I informed them that I did not want to buy a car, I visited their dealership and had a bad experience with the salesman, did not introduce himself or even ask for my name, gave me a poor quote that was inconsistent with what other salesmen had given me earlier, seemed like they were not trying to sell cars, called the sale manager to voice my complaints and was brushed off like shoulder dandruff. Jesse did a great job making the car buying experience as pleasant as can be expected. I scheduled to test drive a new CX-5, and the car was already running and heated when I arrived, which was a nice touch. I have to knock one star from an otherwise 5-star review because of an error in the financing paperwork. I called the next day and had the mistake corrected and a refund check issued, but if not for my double checking that would have been money out of my pocket.

I just had a great used car buying experience at Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove, IL. I made an appointment for a test drive and met with Jesus (Jesse) Sánchez. He toured me around the lot and we discussed what I was looking for. He came back with keys for a couple cars to test, brought me a bottle of cold water, and we went for a drive.It was great. I wanted the car, but not immediately. Jesse explained that he couldn’t hold it, but he had similar cars arriving soon. (Absolutely no pressure to upsell, make a deposit, or make a decision.)Later in the day, I called for more information and again no pressure, and he gave complete answers. I decided that evening to buy the car, and texted him to let him know. Jesse set up an appointment for the next day and we figured the out the door price. He offered me several add-ons but didn’t pressure when I declined.The trade in pricing was generous, and the closing process was very transparent, and well explained. All in all a pleasant experience for buying a used car. I left the dealership with a great car, and feeling that I received an excellent deal from people I can trust. Mr. Jesse Sanchez is an example of how a sales consultant works well with a customer and makes the dealership look good!

Fantastic service. The Mazda dealer closer to me said I could not stop by and had to make an appointment. I called Pugi, they said come anytime. Neither of my key fobs were working even though I had a battery replaced in one days ago. (The gentleman that generously offered to replace the battery for me me at Walgreens forgot to remove the sticker. ) I was greeted cheerfully, both batteries replaced in both fobs, my car was washed, in and out within 15 minutes. I had a great experience in the Mazda service department in Pugi Mazda. The service manager Chris helped me a lot. My transmission had a really loud humming sound and they were able to fix it. They have a superb customer service and will be coming back again for my regular oil change and car maintenance. Thank you so much Pugi Mazda!!! Highly Recommended!

I went in and was greeted by Dennis, who was attentive and polite despite being busy. I test drove a Mazda3 and 6 but ultimately decided that I wasnt a good fit for either. Dennis was very straightforward with pricing and gave me a no-BS out-the-door price to consider since the car would have been at the top of my price range. No undercoating, surprise charges or high pressure tactics to get me to make a snap decision.

Amazing is the word. These guys take Mazda’s slogan very seriously; “Zoom Zoom”. Everything is clear. They help you real fast. They are so patient and calm. No BS. No cheating. No lying. I recommend this Pugi Mazda dealership to everyone. Ask for Anthony in Sales! He was extremely professional, answered all of our questions, and did everything he could to give us the best deal possible. We bought the 2019 CX5 Touring, and couldnt be happier!!!! Buying a car generally isnt a fun time for anybody. With that being said, Quinton made getting my CX-5 Grand Touring a lot of fun! Him and Chad also managed to get me out of my Ford lease early right there and purchase the CX-5 the same day, which didnt look easy! I was pleasantly surprised with the low pressure buying process for my Mazda 6 Grand Touring on January 26, 2019. Rudy of internet sales was very straightforward in giving me the full price breakdown. Other dealers didnt reply when I asked for additional pricing details. Dennis in the showroom was an expert on the Mazda 6 and answered all my questions. Bill was great in terms of agreeing on a fair price in a low pressure environment. Katy in financing was also great. I was never asked to buy paint sealant or window etching etc. I highly recommend this dealer!

EXTREMELY SKETCHY DEALERSHIP! If I could give negative stars, I would! Contacted them about a specific car that I had been looking for for a while now. They contacted me back right away and were very nice at first. Rudy was the salesman that had been calling and emailing me throughout the process. All of a sudden, I get a call last Friday from an entire different salesman saying that he will be taking over for the rest of the car financing/paperwork and whatnot. I specifically told him that I wanted the White Volkswagen Passat with Tan leather seats, which is what I applied for. He was nice on the phone and told me that he would contact me Saturday morning about the application and approval. I start receiving emails of my credit getting ran tons of times. I woke up Saturday morning to a text saying that I had been approved for a car and to “Go on their website and see if that works for me”. I go on their website to discover that I had been approved for a COMPLETELY different car that I had never seen or inquired about! A different color, completely different interior, and entirely different car than the one that I applied and asked for! They never contacted me at all to make me aware that they were going to run my credit for a car that I didn’t want or any other car other than what I had applied for! On top of that, the car that they had approved me for was DOUBLE the price of the one that I was interested in! I texted Rudy back and made him aware that that was NOT the car that I wanted at all! He didn’t get back to me until 7-8 hours later and just said “Okay we will try to get you in a Passat”, and then never contacted me again. Then the next morning I receive an email from a different salesman asking me if I had any questions about the car that I had been approved for and inquired about, which was the WRONG CAR! I never inquired about the car they approved me for! They ran my credit for something I did not want and got me approved for a car I never asked for! SUPER UNORGANIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL, and SKETCHY DEALERSHIP!! I have never dealt with this in my life when purchasing a car! I still have all of the emails, texts, and voicemails from the salesmen. I WILL be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!

Went in to look at a mazda. Jesse greater us right when we walked in and was extremely helpful. They were busy and he was very nice, showing me the car I was interested in. Went on a test drive and came back to talk numbers. Bill was the one we talked numbers with. He was super nice as well. Was not pushy or assertive. Got a good deal and put a deposit down since I did not want to buy that day. I asked if I could come back in a few weeks and actually ended coming back the following weekend to purchase. Jesse, the original salesman was not available the day I wanted to come in so Matt ended up helping us. Even though it wasnt his sale, Matt was extremely nice as well. Worked with me for my trade in. And Jesse stayed in contact with me the whole time. Everyone we spoke to was super friendly. Never once felt pressured or pushed into anything. Overall, great experience. Love my new car and got a fair price. Thanks again!

This place has the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with and my Mazda is a 2017, the ac doesn’t work properly and CHRIS the service manager tells me it’s fine. I’m now without a car or a loner until I find a place that will actually fix the problem oh and the SERVICE MANAGER CHRIS hung up on me! Great customer service guys!

What an experience! Had narrowed my vehicle to a Toyota Highlander or Subaru Ascent, and stopped at Pugi to test-drive the CX9 to humor my colleague. A few hours later, I was driving off the lot with a beautiful fully loaded CX-9 for literally $10K below that of the others. My salesman Erick patiently answered my questions and worked with me on getting the price I need, but then was blown away by the care and attention of Katy who helped me through all the financing and making sure all my questions were answered. First time owner of a Mazda, but definitely not the last time I purchase!

I came from Indiana to downers grove of Pugi Mazda. I started working with Lizzy and she worked the price down to where I had to be. Then when I came in she introduced me to Andres Alvarez. He had the car clean and went over everything with me. The he walked me into Katies office for the fiancé part and she had everything done for me. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get there and it took me 1 hour from start to finish to leave. This what service is all about. Dont miss working with these 3 people, as they will get you the best deal along with great customer satisfaction and out the door in no time. This is what CUSOMER SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT!!!

Went there to purchase a Jeep, talked on the phone a few times before the 3 hour drive up there, agreed on price before I drove up there, when arrived had a different salesman named (Alexis) which was a horrible salesman and he said he couldn’t take any money off, well explained that I’ve already agree to lesser price with the other salesman. He finally comes back with the right price and then try’s to hide commission in tax, title portion of the sale. Asked him to show me how my money is broken down, finally he agreed and magically he came up with a new lesser price. During this whole process he told me he doesn’t care if he gets my business, because he will have someone in tomorrow that would pay more. Also before I was suppose to arrive, the Jeep was supposed to be clean and ready to drive off lot. It wasn’t, it was completely filthy. Needed vacuumed and full detail. Had to wait two hours for them to clean it, then once was done, you can tell it was rushed and no effort was put into it. One of the worst experiences I’ve had at any dealership. I would NOT recommend Pugi. Or the salesman ALEXIS.
