CPU Store 1 in Douglasville on Hwy 92 (2062 Fairburn Rd.) is a great location to get computer help and advice. My husband used them and recommended this location to me when I recently had problems with my laptop. I highly recommend them to others because of their honest advice and great service. Vincent is extremely helpful and gave me good information on how to prevent my problem from reoccurring. This is the best place to go for computer issues. Im very glad theyre in our area.

I went in to pick up my hard drive with all my pictures over the years that were irreplacable to only find out they had recycled the hard drive without given me a courtesy call first, and now Ive lost all my pictures over the years. To make things worse they have no clue where any paperwork is on it. I would avoid this computer store because they simply dont care about peoples property.

I took my computer in to get my power adapter replaced in my laptop because it would no longer charge the battery. They fixed that problem (after having my computer for a week!), but when my computer was returned to me my hard drive was corrupted and CPU was able to fix it. They accused me of having a virus before I brought the computer in. When I dropped my computer off, I did not have have software or hard drive issues I tried to explain this to the computer technician. The manager, Ms. Diaz, is very disrespectful and does not have good customer service skills. When I explained to her that I have an new issue with my laptop she continue to blame me, asked me to leave the store and called the police. She had no reason to call the police. I didnt raise my voice or even threaten her. I was just an unhappy customer. I see in previous reviews she has asked customers to leave the store before. She just does not know how to handle an unsatisfied customer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. I was trying to support small business in my community but I should have went to Best Buy.

OH NO YOU DIDNT !! At first Rosa impressed me as a smart business person with knowledge and a sense of customer service, so I left my device for a minor fix on Friday. No small thing for me to leave my computer and all its content with strangers over night.Rosa said she needed 2 days and would call me on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the latest. She didnt call, so I went there. Rosa didnt even remember me and swore she WOULD NEVER give anyone a specific time of day to expect her call. So basically, she called me a liar.To make a very ugly story short, no one had looked at my computer and I felt exactly like I have in the past when dropping my car off with a crooked mechanic.I asked her when she would look at my computer and at first she had no idea, so I pressed. Then she said maybe tomorrow.But here is the REAL deal with CPU on Hwy 5: Rosa told me personally that ALL OF HER CUSTOMERS want their computers back and ALL OF HER CUSTOMERS just have to wait, and so would I.She made it very clear that NONE of her customers are priorities. Theyre all waiting for a call from her and I am no different. Im just like anyone else. My issue is no more important .I told Rosa to not lump me in with everyone else. Rosa is a piece of work. She doesnt inspire a sense of trust and doesnt seem to have any sense of urgency about making her customers happy.Bottom Line, Rosa is a LIAR and I wouldnt let her fix my lawnmower, much less my computer. Very good price for virus removal. they fixed a fake virus that was asking for $250 money pack. i took it to them and they took care of it for very reasonable price. Now they gained a life long customer.

Overall disrespectful, and unresponsive.When needing to replace a power cord for my laptop I went to CPU as the closest location that was not a large box store. The tech took my laptop and powered the device down without asking or making any statement of what he was doing.When I realized what he was doing and asked him to stop and explain why he did this I was asked to leave the store. In an effort to keep the business local I went to the other CPU location and was able to pick up the cord without issue.After resolving my laptop issue I then emailed the owner/manager to make them aware of what had happen. There was no response given. At this time I must recommend that anyone looking for computer support in the Douglasville area to look towards any other local store.

The hard disk drive on my HP TouchSmart 600 desktop failed. I called Computers Parts and Upgrades LLC (CPU) and spoke to Tan. We discussed what needed doing and agreed to replace the drive with a solid state one (SSD). He recommended Samsung and offered to install a drive with capacity of my choice if I preferred to buy and bring one in. The service charge was reasonable, so I decided also to replace the drive in my old Toshiba Satellite. After buying the SSDs on-line, I brought in the computers, drives and a caddy tray. I dealt with Rosa who undertook the work. She was pleasant, competent, efficient, and cooperative. We were in contact by phone during the course of the work. She salvaged my files, restored the operating system and provided helpful supplementary applications. I was very satisfied with the service, results and price. The computers have been functioning for over six months without problem. I would recommend CPU, Rosa and Tan, and use them again.

I had a strange problem in my computer. it was loosing internet signal in and out. i took it to them and they found that it was virus problem. They cleaned my computer, did tune up and its been running better than when i bought this computer new. Great jobs. Fair price.

I had a couple of problems with my laptop (case damage and A/C plugin broken) and also couldnt access my personal files on my external hard drive (very old). Rosa took it in, diagnosed it (confirming what I already knew although I didnt let on) and priced it (very reasonable). She took a long time repairing it although not her fault (shipper damaged the new case requiring another be ordered) and I had also stated to her that I had a 2nd laptop and therefore was not pressed to have it back. She did an excellent job repairing my laptop. She also did an excellent job on recovering my personal files and transferring them to a new external hard drive that I had provided her. In the end, she gave me a discount because of the time it took for them to repair my laptop although it was not necessary. Overall, an excellent job. If I have any future problems, I would certainly consider CPU again.

I had a nasty virus that locked all my files and was asking for $250. I took it to them and they got it fixed. They only charged me $98 which i think was very fair, they were very nice to me too. Excellent job.

This is the 2nd laptop I have took to them. They charged me a arm and a leg on replacing power jack. The first one was wrong so they had to re do it. The computer has been slow as molasses every since so I quit using it. I took my good HP there this week. They charged me 50.00 to tell me the hard drive is bad. I get home and look at how to check the computer system. I found the same thing for free that they charged me 50 bucks for. The only reason I gave it to them because the lady told me they could get my documents off it. Well the long hair dude says I got get your ducoments out of it, well then why did I come here. I told the lady I need my documents even if the computer cant be fixed she assured me they could.

Im very grateful with Vicente with his excellent work, every time I come here he help us out right away, so we are happy, If we come here in the near future and we dont find Vicente we are not coming back. thank you for all the help.

(Putting the date because I didnt get the guys name 6/30 2015 and some time in the morning ) Not sure about their repair services, but I can say the person who was there definitely needed to work on how he handled customers. It was my first time there and I wanted to see if they had any sata cables. They did, but unfortunately I didnt notice the purchase of $20 minimum sign for use of debit or credit cards to which his first response was to say Really? and point at the sign, then to add a comment about what he gets charged. Didnt need to hear all that. Had he notified me about it politely I would have simply walked over to Kroger and gotten the cash to pay for it as well as checked out what else they had in case it was the type of place Id want to come to again. Thats going to be a definite no. Even politely notified him it was my first time there but after he said what he had to say he didnt speak a word afterwards. Even I was polite enough to open the door for him on his way following me out and couldnt even get a thanks or even a passive nod. He may get more service if he learns how to talk to people, you never know if you actually may have gotten a repeat costumer and one who would have informed others about him.

When my Dell desktop started running really slow I ran a virus scan which detected a few issues but still was really slow. I called CPU computer repair place in publix shopping center and they told me to bring my computer to them. It turned out it was only some programs running in the background that were causing the problem. They uninstalled those, now its running great.

I accidentally broke my wifes computer by clicking on a popup rendering it absolutely useless.The repair took 2 days, a day longer then the manager quoted because it was more seriously infected than they had realized at first.
