Alpharetta, GA- Saw a sign for Brow Henna, went right in and made an appointment for a couple hours later. I was in town for laser hair removal, so this eyebrow treatment was a service that appealed to me. I was told it would last 6-8 weeks if I didnt use a scrub or oil-based product to wash my face, but only lasted 5 days. I didnt touch my eyebrows, and washed around them when I wore foundation the couple times I did my makeup.I had never heard of this before that day, and left completely ecstatic after the treatment. My mother and I both got it done, all the staff were very friendly and we told them how thrilled we were we wouldnt have to fill in our brows every day. Now that Ive done research, I see that the hairs may hold the henna for 6-8 weeks but not the skin. I even asked how it lasted that long, and details about the face wash products that I listed above were explained. We both have very dark hair, so the color is not the issue...our hair growth is sparse, and the shape is what we were looking for. We both said many times how excited were about that and how cheap it was to last so long. We even told them we looked up other locations so we could go back after to have it done again.The distinction should have been clarified about the skin/shape timeframe and hair color by the receptionist when I asked her about the service...and the two aestheticians that did the treatment since we talked about different treatments throughout the entire visit. Since mine only lasted 5 days out of the 2 weeks, I wouldnt pay to have it done every 5 days, of course.

I go to Bailey for my brazilin. She is so sweet and funny. She makes me feel very comfortable for a service that would be considered awkward. She is very professional but also adds in a few small jokes to lighten the mood. I will only go to her for waxing. Waxing the city is very clean with their rooms as well. They have great products and the girls at the front desk are always help when I have questions.

I came in for my first Brazilian wax yesterday and was highly disappointed. I do not think my waxer knew what she was doing. It took a full hour when the typical time is 30 minutes. I was left with a ton of hair still down there and terrible red dots everywhere, this never even happens even when I shave. I was hoping for a good experience but unfortunately I will not be back here. I tried to call yesterday to see if they would make things right but they just gave me excuses. I still have red dots and irritation everywhere down there and will never go there again. If you are looking to get a nice quality wax I recommend you go somewhere else. I am not one to ever write reviews on places but I am still in pain from my wax yesterday and do not want anyone to make the same mistake as me with going to this place.

I had gotten a wax yesterday and I had gotten one before this time it was awful. There are several of patches where I still have hair. For a fifty dollar wax I’d expect better. It was very rushed job, I don’t think I’ll come back.UPDATE: I have to say I’m glad they contacted me and fixed the issue. I got contacted within a day. I truly appreciated the concern of my happiness with the service. I’d like to say that I love Jennifer. She is great and very thorough with the process of waxing. She explained to me also why i still had hair leftover, this really helped me understand. So I wasn’t upset at the fact if there was any hair left over.

Great experience. This was my very first wax so I was nervous and thought I would be very uncomfortable. But Bailey was amazing and talked me through the whole thing. She also kept me talking about random things to keep my mind off of it and help me relax. I actually was as uncomfortable as I thought I would be so it was a plus. I needed a place to get a wax ASAP. I wasnt able to get one before I left at my normal estheician. On a Sunday Morning I was able to make an appt for that afternoon. Their website was super easy to navigate. I was greeted with a smile and offered a water. While in the room Adrianna was extremely professional and courteous. She was very good at what she does. I would strongly recommend her for anybody that needs a wax. Thank you and Ill definitely be visiting again when I come back.

Came here for a Brazilian wax and underarm wax. Was hesitant because I was used to getting sugared. But Alex made me feel really comfy and the pain level was a 3 out of a 10! I even signed up with the contract to get the 20% off all services and products.

I was in town visiting a friend and desperately needed my brows done. I called and they got me right in. I love the environment and Danielles personality was perfect for the experience I was expecting. She not only shaped my brows perfectly, but she filled them in and my brows never looked better! Cant wait to go back!

This place is amazing. We just moved here from Florida and I didnt really have a place to get my waxes yet, well my husband thought it would be a GREAT idea to surprise me by coming home early... not a good surprise husbands! Unless you tell your wife, dont try to surprise them! But Lisa was able to squeeze me in. I literally called 3 other places, but they understood here. My wax was awesome too, super fast, painless, and just over all great!

While looking for somewhere to get a Brazilian wax, I came across Waxing the City. I was baffled at the low prices and was worried it meant they were not good. After looking at reviews online on Facebook and Google I decided Ill give it a shot. Especially since there was the 50% special for new clients. I saw Jennifer mentioned in several reviews about how good she was and decided to book with her. I was not let down. It was only my second Brazilian ever and it had been 2 years since the last. So I was nervous like it was my first time. She kept me talking and distracted. She prepared me for the ones that would hurt worse than others. She was friendly and professional. BUT my favorite part about her services was how I felt educated on how to take care of my skin afterwards. Going online, its hard to find much other than EXFOLIATE before and after and dont put lotion on before. Blah blah blah. She went into detail about many things and now I feel confident that I will be able to take care of my skin pre and post waxing AND parts of my skin my skin that does not get waxed. The atmosphere of the entire place was nice and relaxing. I was taken back without waiting but a moment. The service was SUPER fast. I WILL be returning!

And I have reviewed exactly 3 waxing places, 1 was a good experience and I had one other waxing the city type experience. (dont try waxing from Groupon, ppl!) So they imply Im what... Dishonest? I also had a great experience at Plush, thank you for the reminder to leave a review for them. They fixed your botched job the next day.I let my hair grow out for weeks, as instructed. I went for a Brazilian, but they use that as seen on tv kind of wax that you paint on, but dont use a strip. The wax hardens and then she had to pull up an edge to get a grip. It was horribly painful, I was in tears. Ive been waxed before, and I asked her why this is so much more painful. She said I mustve become more sensitive. But I know the difference between high and low quality wax. And it makes a big difference in the amount of pain and trauma to the skin. I told her she could do the knees down, because its a less sensitive area. It was still quite painful (normally that area hardly makes me flinch). Then she said Id have some stubble because of some BS about hair growth. I never have stubble after waxing. Plus she had to spend so much time with tweezers after, to get all the hair the wax missed. But the woman doesnt know how to tweeze hairs without stabbing with the pointy tweezers. When I got home I still have tons of wax left that my pants stuck to, and lots of broken hairs. The next day I went to Plush and got the Brazilian without a problem, Im not more sensitive. but they didnt have an appointment for my thighs, so Im stuck shaving my legs, since half the hair was left on my lower legs. Avoid this place like the plague, theyre cheaper for a reason. Because it hurts a lot more and does a lousy job, to boot.

Yall this place was amazing. The rooms are a little intimidating but I think thats because they cant decorate due to sterilization. I had Xo as my esthetician. She was so professional and kept the conversation going. I will be back.

Getting waxed is a breeze when you go to Waxing the City! Ive never met nicer people.

I had my eyebrows touched up here a few weeks after they opened. The waxer was nice but the front desk was so rude. My main complaint was the environment. i walked in and there was a kid running down the hall, i learned it was the managers kids when the child opened the door to the room i was in when getting waxed. Im glad i wasnt getting something more intimate waxed, i wouldve liked more privacy. My eyebrows were waxed neatly and the girl seemed to know what she was doing so overall ok experience but the pricing is outrageous for how you are treated.

Love it! Friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. I see them once a month and its more like visiting friends than going to an appointment.
