Well I’m not usually one to leave a bad review but I recently had exhaust put on my truck not even a month ago and I had to take it back once for a broken hanger. No big deal , but now I just discovered another one’s broke again.. even though they just looked at it and supposedly fixed it but now it’s broke again.. I don’t live close enough to have to keep coming back every single time it breaks especially when I just had it done it shouldn’t be breaking at all actually. Wouldn’t recommend unless you want to go back-and-forth all the time to fix it...

Rick is very good!! I have been trying to get my vehicle in for sometime now but they are busy!! I am tired of working on my vehicle and would trust RICK with this four wheel drive stuff since I have never owned a 4×4 until now and would rather him look at it since he knows all about them!!

I called a week ago to get a quote for a muffler delete. Today, I had that delete done exactly to the specifications I wanted. I highly recommend them for your custom exhaust work!

After the tech said hed be right back, I waited 20min, made 4 phone calls and ate 2 cheese burgers uninterrupted by anyone helping me. So I left. If you want to waste my time up front, I can only imagine what youll do once you have my car torn apart. So no, you certainly wont find my name on any record except this one.

It is hard to find an honest mechanic and I can tell these guys are the real deal. Rick, Dwight, and the rest are always helpful, honest and have always stood by their work! Got my vehicle worked on. Poor inexperience-like welding, craked one of the brand new mufflers I supplied trying to expand the joint. After a second visit exhaust still leaking through a badly welded spot. Not worth the money and time waisted. Most likely I will have to order new parts, finď another shop and start over. $130.00 set back + damage part.

My experience with ricks has been excellent I have taken my 2009 dodge caravan. To Dwight and team on many occasions and I am well pleased, also I took my daughters 2001 VW beetle there and they work on it with no problem even though it was a foreign car I will continue to recommend anyone I know to Ricks Priemium Automotive Services.

This review was written 2 years ago.Problem with the brakes on 2005 Buick LeSabre and looking for a brake shop or garage. Missed a left turn on Ross Clark Circle due to heavy traffic in turn lane. Stayed on S. Oates, saw the sign for Ricks Automotive and pulled in. Explained the problem with my brakes; they repaired my brake line, and were courteous throughout. Although Im sure this is normal for them, their patience must have surely worn thin. Brake lines (and other parts, too) for older cars are hard to find so they spent a lot of time talking to auto supply stores. But they kept at it, my brakes are fixed, the cost was very reasonable, and Ricks Automotive has acquired new customers for life.New review 27JAN2021.Toyota Avalon with either dead ECU or alternator. Car died. Towed to R.A.C.E. Alternator replaced. Excellent service. Courteous owner and personnel. Thank you all, Rick. 10 out of 10 with 10 being the best.

Customers beware-Arrived Jan 8 to have a Bassani catted x/pipe system installed on my 2001 Mustang.My car was inspected and I was told they were capable of installing this system while my car was on the rack. I was told the nuts looked great and told the cost would be $120 and I gave the go ahead to proceed. The service tech began working as I watched through the glass door. He was using a high powered air wrench and then changed sockets and began beating with a hammer. I then knew something was wrong. Ricky then inspected the vehicle with the service tech. The man working the counter stated sarcastically they could not keep the car on the rack all day long. He told me they rounded off two exhaust nuts. I asked, what are you going to do? He said I would have to bring the car in and leave it for 3 or more days and they would work on it a little along and I would be charged $200-$300 more depending on the time. I know this was their mistake since no exhaust work has ever been done to this car with only 40,000 miles. I have owned the car since 2004. They didnt apologize and they were very rude to me about their mistake.Customers beware!

Beware of the derogative practices by Ricks Automotive! This directed to the owner. Do not reply and try to make an excuse for your deceptive practices. Do not trust this place. Their goal is maximize their profit margin while lying and making excuses for not fixing the issue(s) and blaming the customer when he claims to be a mechanic! Ive been to this shop several times before and had several items fixed. On one occasion Rick tried to charge me an additional fee which I corrected him on and on a another occasion, while replacing a part(s) they broke another function part, however did not inform me until I came to pick up the car. The part they broke while replacing another, did charge me for their mistake which explains why they didnt call me to explain what they have done and chose to tell me when I came to pay. Today, I got a mouth full from Rick in front of his employees. I have in the past several times was allowed next to my car to explain what the issue(s) was going on. I told Rick about the problem when I had arrived today of the current problem and an additional sound issue, but another personnel pulled my car into the bay. When I was explaining to him what was going on, Rick, the owner, walked up to me and began his rant of telling/yelling me I was trying to run his shop and clarified that he was talking to me. This is not what a so-called professional does in this situation, he should have approached me and we could have discussed what was going on and not being an idiot. I was doing what Ive had done many times before, including with Rick himself. With this being said, Ive let the deceptions from work done before slide, the cost to my wallet was a small factor at the time, but what he did today was non professional, trying to hide his mistakes and the insults to the customer. Out of courtesy, I tried to talk with him outside, not in front of several other customers, but he insisted on lying and deception. However, he did apologize, but I clarified that I did not appreciate him belittling me in front of his employees, this was not needed. He open the door to my car and old me to leave. Its obvious he did not want or could not to fix the problem so ensuring a customer would not return, harass the customer. People should be aware of the problems you may or may not place here and why online reviews, not just Google is helpful to initiate warnings to people of deceptive business practices.So for any new customer... be aware of this place!

I was in town for work. I had a roaring noise and suspected a wheel bearing. I stopped in and was greeted by Rick who was busy installing an exhaust system. He asked me to hang on a few minutes and hed be right with me.Soon as he finished he had one of the guys go drive the car. He then put it on a rack, disassembled it, found the problem, spoke to me about it, ordered the bearing, installed it, and had me out of there in under an hour. They also charged about half of what the job should have cost.I really appreciate Rick and the gang getting me fixed up even though it was a holiday and they were extremely busy! I cant recommend them enough.

The owner and staff were very curtious and helpful. They explained everything to me concerning the necessary repairs needed for my vehicle and quoted me a very reasonable price. My car was also ready for pickup with in 24 hours! I now use Ricks Automotive for all my automotive needs. Great guys to work with.

I’ve had a lot of trouble with my car over the past couple of months. I’ve taken it to the big name repair shops and dealerships, and no one could fix it. I brought it here and they fixed it with no problem!

Terrible place! Been here several times, my mistake. I end up with more work needed done on my car after they try to fix something else. And they will try to charge you for their mistakes and not own up to it. And if you call them out on it they will try to bully you and run you off. They need to be sued and closed down! People beware!

I took my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 in for an exhaust and from the first time i talked on the phone with Ricks Automotive they already seemed like very knowlagabe and reasonably priced people. When i actually had my exhaust installed they completed the install almost 2 hours early and also under the original estimate! Awesome! I love the work they did and my truck sounds great!

Called ricks at 1:30pm asked what time they would be closing today I was told 4pm. I told him I was on the way. He said we will be here. Then I arrived at 2:06pm. Was greeted by the man behind the counter and he asked what he could do for me today. Then he helped me pick out my exhaust and everything. Then he proceeds to tell me he can not do it for me today because they are closing. Wasted my time and my fuel. Said I would have to come back tomorrow when I told him previously on the phone I needed it done today because I was leaving to go back home. That I am from south Florida.

These guys are great brought my car in for some muffler work and they did it with ease and didn’t charge and arm and leg.... very pleased and would recommend anyone too them.

A great place to go get your exhaust system needs. Theyll get you in and out without wasting your time or money! The weld job couldve been better but I would definitely go back for anymore needs.

I came in without an appointment, and they were pretty busy, but they squeezed me in, did my muffler delete, and got me out in no more than 25 minutes. Only cost me $86 and the sound my car makes is worth every penny of that. He even let me inspect the work while it was on the lift. Just a bunch of great guys that work there, and they will be my go to exhaust shop from now on.

Ive used Ricks at least a half a dozen different times for auto repairs and exhaust work. I had always been satisfied with their service until my last experience. I had taken my new truck to have them put a Magnaflow muffler on it. When I got back home and got under the truck to take a look I wasnt satisfied at all. The exhaust inlets on the muffler were considerably larger than my exhaust pipes. So they cut of the exhaust pipes, stuck them in the exhaust inlets, and just welded up the difference. Also the exhaust pipes didnt line up with the new muffler, so they bent one of the pipes, putting a kink in it, to match up with the inlet. As i stated, it is a new truck, and I expected a more custom looking job, not something jacked-up looking. If I had known they were going to do this in the first place, I would not have gone through with the work. I explained this to one of the employees over the phone and he told me to bring it back and he would make it right. So I took the truck back. While the employee I had spoken to was attempting to fix the previous job, Rick came out and said to me Ive done a lot of these, and no one has ever complained except for you, so I guess all I can tell you is if you dont like it, to get your exhaust work done somewhere else. I simply said OK. Extremely unprofessional display of attitude. The previous day I had just paid them $1100 for repairs on my wifes vehicle! Meanwhile the other employee was able to remove the kinked exhaust pipe but the difference in the muffler inlet and exhaust pipe is still just a considerable amount of welding. I dislike having to do this, but the kind of attitude Rick displayed is unacceptable. ALL my work will be going elsewhere in the future.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful crew and speedy work. They tell you about whats wrong and what they can do to fix your vehicle and have it done in a very short amount of time so you can get back to what you have to do.

Said the mufflers I bought would not fit charged me $80 for an hours labor. I took the same mufflers to The Muffler Shop & they had them on the car in about an hour & only charged me $60.
