I have been meaning to write up a review of my new pool construction for almost a year now. And now seemed like the perfect time, while I have a peaceful moment on my patio listening to music with the calming sound of the pools waterfalls in the background. My wife and I have always wanted a pool but never had the opportunity until the last few years. We contacted several pool contractors but never got the right feel or proper guidance and had almost given up when we were referred to Elite Pools and Spas by a friend of my wifes. We called and spoke with Jamie to get information on hers and Marlands company. She provided us her website where there were lots of reviews to read and pictures of the work to look at. Shortly after that we asked for her and Marland to come out and give us a design and a quote.Our backyard has a 14 easement on it, leaving us without a lot of room. I was concerned about the pool being too close to the house and not being big enough to warrant the effort and expense. Jamie and Marland helped to dispel those fears with their drawings, descriptions, and explanations. While the pool is small and uniquely shaped, it provides plenty of room to play in with our grand kids or to just soak in and relax. It provides added character and charm to my manicured backyard and patio area. With the waterfall and bubbler going it provides a meditative environment. In the evening, with the pool light performing a light show of the rock wall and waterfall, it is easy to relax and de-stress from the day.While designing the pool, we stressed that we wanted simple and durable over flash and fancy and to stay within a certain budget. Marland and Jamie helped us with that too, from the suggestions on the equipment, depth and dimensions, choice of pool liner and decking to even suggestions about landscaping. We came up with a plan that delivered all this within our budget. We have top of the line equipment that is very quiet and energy efficient, the simple yet durable liner puts off a beautiful reflective blue color from the sky, and our stamped decking ties the whole patio and pool area together wonderfully.So the design process went very well and we are extremely happy with the final results. But I would be remiss if I didnt comment on the actual build process. We started working with Jamie and Marland in late March 2019. We spent April and May designing, engineering, financing, and getting permits. On May 24th we broke ground. All of Marlands contractors were professional and courtesy. Communications never seemed a problem and either Marland or Jamie made several visits per week to monitor progress. Construction finished with the stamped overlay on July 16th and we were swimming the next day.To wrap things up, Marland and Jamie walked us through all the operations of the pool and showed us how to clean and care for it. But, their service did not stop there. They obviously take great pride in their work because if ever I have a question or concern, they are a quick phone call or text away, and they always respond promptly.We are very happy with our pool and the service we received from Elite Pools and Spas and we can strongly recommend them.

Mr. Marland did not confirm an appointment with time nor date. This was an urgent request and pool access can only be scheduled. He only said he would be available next week Monday or Tuesday. Marland said to text him the address. After that I didnt hear back from him at all. Was not even sure if he was going to make this happen. Poor customer service, skills and Rude over the phone.

My mom made a call to elite pools and the man seemed to be having issues understanding her accent. She apologized and said she was handing her phone to me but before I could speak to him, he hung up the phone. We thought maybe he had hung up on accident, so we decided to try and call back but he stopped answering the phone. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Elite Pools and Spas Dickinson just installed paradise in my backyard! They gave us personal service above and beyond my expectations in the discussion, preparation, design, construction, and post construction follow up. I highly recommend their services. The quality of the pool, decking, water features and fire features go unmatched!

Our family’s experience with Elite Pools & Spas has been fantastic. We are in the planning stages of our pool construction and are looking for different bids; Elite was the ONLY business out of several other companies that responded to us and actually showed up for the initial consultation. The Elite representative that met with us was professional, prepared, and thorough. She listened to us and took detailed notes during our conversation. The bid proposal she sent to us reflects everything we discussed. Although we have yet to decide on a builder, any other pool companies with whom we meet will have quite a challenge if they want to compete with Elite.

We had our pool built by Elite in summer 2016. We chose them after hearing good things about them from a few friends. Unfortunately, our experience with them was not what we had hoped.I won’t go into all the little details that I’m upset about and they refuse to fix. The most major issue is that if we get a medium to heavy rain, the yard drains into my pool. Dirt, grass, you name it. It all ends up in my pool. They refused to do anything about this even though they were paid to design and install the pool.They did make a small effort to fix a few problems that I had, and I considered giving them 2 stars instead of 1 (it would be zero if that was a choice) because at least they made an effort. However, many of the problems they attempted to fix are actually worse now than they were before.They are not the cheapest builder, but in my opinion you’re getting low grade workmanship if you choose them. Add to that a lack of support, and Elite Pool and Spa is simply a bad choice. If you want to save money, then go ahead and go with the cheapest bidder. If you want a quality builder, keep looking, there are others out there

We had a pool built by Elite, we collaborated with the design, they made great suggestions, explained why a few changes should be made. It was our first pool so their opinions were noted and appreciated. Everything went well with the build except the weather however they stayed proactive and did what they could given the delay. The pool school and their patience with us first timers was above and beyond. Highly recommend. With any construction there are delays...nothing ever goes as planned. Having realistic expectations and a backup plan is key and they provided that.

During Hurricane Harvey my pool pump went out. During the ensuing chaos, Elite Pools made time to work me into their already full schedule. Marland sent out 2 repair people & in approx 2 hours, my pool was fully functional, thus allowing me to proceed with clean up activities.

We have used elite pools and spas for 15 years now. Great service! Excellent service!! Very honest and fair company.

I would like to thank Elite Pools for helping my family after Hurricane Harvey. I called this great company after my pool pump was damaged from flooding. Their staff found a time to replace my pump in a very timely manner. It took only 2 days after I requested a techician to replace my pump. Elite Pools was extremely busy during this time. The technician was professional and fixed my problem the same day. Thanks Elite Pools for all your support. I endorse Elite Pools.

We had Elite Pools and Spas repair our pool heater and it was great work that they did but asking for an invoice is like asking to get congress to pass a law. I have contacted Mr. Marland via mobile phone, text and via email and to no success. I called him today on his mobile phone and could not leave a message due to his voicemail inbox was full. The customer should ask for an invoice after the work is done and he should have it ready upon completion of the job he did for us. Its been a month and no success to get one from him. Mr. Marland, as a business you should be able to hand the customer an invoice upon completion.

We had elite pools install our pool 3 years ago. It’s was finished in less time than we thought. Marland has been awesome with helping me as a new pool owner with any questions or problems I’ve had. During freeze our spa drained and Marland was able to help me fix it over phone then I called yesterday about pool lights being out and Marland had someone at my door 1st thing in the morning fixing them.

In a word, unreliable. Mr. Marland made two appointments for my urgent request and didnt show up for either. It was only after I contacted him yet a THIRD time that he bothered to come up with an excuse as to why he couldnt meet his obligations. He was busy. That doesnt fly if you dont even bother to call and apologize.

Used this company for 2 months. 1st visit was to install new motor and start service. That was the end of the good experience. 2 mos. Of sevice there were 5 different service techs. Thats a red flag. I left numerous notes about the pool still having green steps and walls. Nothing changed. The last tech, clogged the line by using the skimmer suction to vacume heavy leaves. Thats a no no! Lost the o-ring to the clean out trap at the pump. When pump stopped working I had to call another company out to see what was going on. Found the lost o-ring in the pump that burned up. Shady work, high employee turnaround. Rude personel. I would stay far away from this company.
