DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!! 2 weeks since they’ve had the Jeep. 10 days to get the first part in that they MISSED with the prior service call 3 weeks before. Another part will be installed they say. “We’ll call you on (fill in the blank) day” has been said dozens of times but no phone calls are ever made. Will try a local shop instead of what we thought would be a reputable dealer once we ever get out car back.

I wish sales and Service had separate review locations. Sales seems to be great, but Service not so much. Im giving them two stars just because my vehicle got fixed, but because everything else is sub par Service. Sure, its a busy place, but yall had my vehicle for over a week to diagnose and then replace a starter (and a door actuator). I feel either lied to or ignored after daily attempts to get status of vehicle; its either tech is working on it - well call you back - then no details and no call back, or well look into it and call you back in an hour with no call back. After a week they finally say we are picking up part today and will install in the morning. Seriously? Then it ended up not being the starter but the wire going to it. Did they know this before telling me they were going to go get the part? They also left the door panel not fully engaged, which further damaged the side of my vehicle. On top of everything, for the convenience of adding the towing bill to the service they added another $20. I setup the tow, offered to pay upfront, but yet they nickel and dime ya. I dont plan on using yall ever again if I can help it.

Worst experience ever...they had my truck for 4 days (no loaner) for the first warranty repair...the problem and check engine light came back 2 weeks later. I brought it back to be looked at. After they had it for 15 days (no loaner) I called Chrysler corporation to discuss the situation. Later that day they called for the first time to give me an update. I had called previously and was just told they were working on it and still no loaners available. And apparently the only person that can discuss your vehicle with you is the service adviser you dropped off with. It was next to impossible to get my adviser on the phone or get a call back. They called again the next day saying they had a loaner. The dealership called again 2 days later, saying turns out I have water in my gas tank, $2,000 repair, not covered under warranty, and the loaner they gave me wasnt covered either. I immediately went to go pick up my truck, they brought it out. There was no paper work for repairs or attempted repairs. I only had 50 miles until empty on the gas tank. I put gas in the tank and over the next few days drove close to 300 miles. Obviously no water was in the tank. And coincidentally I had to replace my battery, the air condition would randomly blow warm air. My theory is that corporate called the dealership, they got upset and just found something that wouldnt be a warranty repair. This experience has definitely made me not want to buy a dodge again; absolutely never buy from this dealership again; and has made me question the value of any kind of warranty. I have since gotten rid of the truck and purchased a Honda. This is the 4th Honda Ive bought from this dealership. So far Ive had a much better experience than with Ron Carter

I wish I could give their service department zero stars. I took my truck in for service and was told about a diagnostic fee. I agreed and left my truck. The same evening I received an informed diagnostic review and was told to check the service I’d like performed. I checked a service and luckily I screen shot it. After about three days I contacted my service technician and left a voicemail and a text. Two more days went by and I contacted her both days through text and phone. I never heard back from her. We decided to drive up and see what the status was since we had not heard back form her. We were then told by her that nothing had been done since we hadn’t accepted a service. I then contacted her manger explaining the situation and informing him of my screenshot of my service I had in fact accepted. I was told he would look into the case. I’m out $150 and my truck sitting at their location for a week because she couldn’t contact us back. Terrible customer service from the service technician to the manager. I will not ever do service with Ron Carter again!

I recently bought a used Jeep at Rob Carter. I had owned it for less than two weeks when I heard water slushing around and took it in. Now Friday 8/27 will make 7 weeks that it has been in the shop. I have not received one phone call with any updates. When I called, I was told multiple stories by different people. First I was told that the window was on back order. Then I was told that the warranty was still waiting to be approved. I’ve already paid one note and will soon be paying a second & still don’t have the vehicle I purchased. Personally, this has been the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I’ve requested that they just take the car back, but they offered me $6k less than what I purchased it for at the two week mark. They offered no apology and no recourse. I will never do business with this dealership again & would caution anyone else with their future car purchases as well.

They have great service department. Oil changes are quick and easy. Staff is helpful and timely. Id give 5 stars if it werent for problems with smaller items. My last visit I wanted to have wiper blades replaced. $75.For wiper blades. No thank you.

Had a great experience here! Misa was super helpful and very nice throughout the entire process. I barely had to do anything, he handled everything for me over the phone so that when I came in all I had to do was jump in my new Challenger Scatpack Widebody and drive away. Will definitely be back to this dealer!

I posted this on their FB page, but it was deleted within 10 minutes:I purchased a Ram 2500 from Clear Lake Nissan about a month ago. About two weeks in, my check engine light came on, so I took it to them. Being as the truck was still under factory warranty, they sent it down the road to Ron Carter in League City. That was on August 10th. I went in twice, and the service department at Nissan called numerous times. Each time we were told that they were still diagnosing the issue and there was no time frame. One of the times I went in, I spoke to Danny, the point of contact with Nissan. He said they were still diagnosing my truck, there were about 15 vehicles ahead of mine, and if I didnt want to wait I could just take my vehicle. Today I found out that their ONLY diesel mechanic has been out recovering from surgery, and there is no ETA on when he would be back. I had my contact at Nissan pick up my truck and they took it to Clear Lake Dodge, who already diagnosed the issues and have a tentative date of return. DO NOT TAKE YOU VEHICLE TO THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT! They lied to my face. And if you have a diesel there, I would recommend you look for somewhere else to take your vehicle, unless you dont mind an infinite wait.

He and I were able to research the Power-Train warranty on the Jeep Im purchasing and we found the warranty STILL available for repairs plus replacement parts in the engine. Made a bit of a mistake purchasing a challenger and when my wife corrected that by steering me to a nice truck they helped get me out of one and into the other. Anytime you go ask for Joe Beddis the man knows what he is doing and is extremely good at getting you exactly what you need.

I brought my Jeep Wrangler here for service for a couple of reasons. One, my transmission kept revving while on the highway and two for the check engine light. Taylor was my service rep and said they will get to it in a few days. So a few days pass and I dont hear from them so I call. Of course Taylor isnt available and no one else but her can help me. She never calls back. They next day I get a text message with a link that shows me a list of repairs and costs, over $2000. No explanation, just a box to check by each repair and an approve button with a countdown telling me I had 15 minutes to approve the repairs. I tried calling Taylor again, no answer, and of course no call back. The next day I FINALLY get to speak to Taylor, get an explanation and have them start in some repairs about $1500. One was replace an oil cooler (transmission issue) and the other an emissions leak (check engine light issue). I get the car back and was told to drive it a while before it could get inspected. Well less than 75 miles later, the check engine light comes on, and soon after, the transmission starts revving. I called Ron Carter back and let them know and also mentioned my key fob was acting up. Taylor told me to bring it back in. After hearing back from them, they told me the check engine light was now a catalytic converter and the transmission was a faulty oil cooler they installed. They key issue was a faulty transmitter and it needed to be replaced and new keys were needed. They oil cooler repair was covered because I had just got it fixed and I approved the key transmitter with two keys. They catalytic converter was too expensive and Im looking for a non dealer repair shop to do that. I went to pick up the car and paid for the keys and transmitter and was only given one key. After searching the shop, no one could locate it and guess what? Taylor was not there and apparently only she could tell me whats going on with it. They told me that she would give me a call in the morning and I explained to them, she never calls back and its hard to get a hold of her. So now I cant wait for Taylor to not call me tomorrow to tell me where my other key is.

Normally buying a car at a dealership is time consuming and stressful! I have to say I had an awesome time dealing with Caleb and Robert getting my brand new 2021 Dodge Challenger! They made me feel like I was hangout with friends. Even the other dealers talked with me and I enjoyed their company. Ron Carter In League City is by far the best place to get a car. You can tell they all work so well together and they want to make you happy and get the car you really want. They worked hard for me to find me the car of my dreams! I’ve always wanted a challenger and now I have one! From waking in to driving out I felt 100% taken care of the whole time! I just want to go back and hang out with them again, cause they were that awesome! Thanks again Caleb and Robert for helping me get into the car I love! Ethane you also to the finance department that helped this all happen as well! They made sure I could afford my new car and they were all just so nice! Once again I felt like I was hanging out with friends! To the owner of Ron Carter League City….. you need to give all your employees a raise! They are all just amazing! Danny, my service writer was outstanding. He got me in quickly and even went to get my car when it was finished so I didn’t have to wait. I called another dealership and they didn’t answer the phone. When they did answer the service department used voicemail to answer. I called League City Ron Carter. Danny answered, scheduled me within a few days and said he’d have the coffee on. He made a fresh pot and within a short time my car was ready.

I went in a week ago to get a new 2021 ram 3500 dually. Jose Martinez was the first one to come and help when I showed up. I’ve been to many car dealerships before and this man will forever stand out. He answered all my questions. He understood what I want never try to up sale me or lie to me. Told him what I wanted on the truck what price wanted and he helped me meet these expectations. He got me the best deal possible and I know this because I went to 3 different dealers and there price was the best. Best sales man I have ever met i highly recommend him as your next salesman. Onces that was taken care of I went with the financing center. I don’t remember her name but the lady that help me out was one of the most professional well educated understanding and extremely helpful lady. I can assure you I will be coming back to buy another truck from them. Honestly if you want to a dealership that is honest trustworthy and understanding there’s no better place than this one I highly recommend it.

This was a good experience until it wasnt. I purchased a 2020 Jeep Gladiator (demo) on 3/10/2021. When I received my tags in the mail I noticed that the renewal was 2/2022...therefore I received an 11 month tag instead of the normal new car 2 year tag. When I called about the issue, I was told this was company policy. Not the norm on a new car. I purchased demos before and always got 2 year tags. The lady in finance was great but the salesman was all about the sale not customer service. After reading the reviews, think Ill take my business and referrals elsewhere. The sales persons name is Misa.

I get home late from work so my wife and I arrived at Ron Carter right before they closed. Our sales guy, Misa Jelic, stayed late after closing time with us while we looked at the red Rebel we saw online and a couple others. Even though it was late, he asked us if we wanted to test drive the truck, and we did. My wife fell in love with it. The next morning the financing department did what they had to do to get us in our new truck. When I got off of work my wife and I headed over there and they had all our paperwork ready as soon as we walked in. Super quick. I highly recommend you go see Misa at Ron Carter. I had already taken one of my vehicles to the Dodge and Jeep dealership that is in Clear Lake and had had a bad experience with the lack of follow up, not returning calls and treating me like a number that meant nothing to them. It was suggested that I bring my vehicle to the dealership in League City and speak to Wes. I had an incredible experience and he is the most professional service person I have worked with in a long time. He even went to the trouble to explain to me how my factory warranty worked. I would highly recommend that anyone who needs service on their Dodge or Jeep take it to Wes. Thank you Wes!

Ron Carter Service exercised their right not to serve me. That action was in taken in response to me saying I would write a bad review on their service for charging $300 for a $160 inspection. How do I know the inspection should have been $160? Because I drove up the freeway to Clear Lake Jeep and got it done. No hassle, no fuss. I recommend you do the same.

My review is solely based on my experience with the service department. Not only did I have to come back after my car was serviced, but it was for something that they should have fixed the first time and when asked why they didn’t they had no response. That’s not to mention the tech that I was dealing with; when someone calls you and leaves you a message asking you call back as a costumer service business you should be calling back. I shouldn’t have had to leave messages and then call again because I was still hearing nothing. Both times they had my car it was like pulling teeth trying to get in contact with her. Then I go to pick up my car and they can’t find my keys and I had to wait for over 30 minutes outside while they couldn’t find them. I will never bring my business here again the service department is an absolute joke.

I had a service appointment set for 10am today. I got there early, because the receptionist told me it’s better to come in early on Saturdays. Because of that, I was there at 9:30. Prior to coming, I was told that it would be about an hour wait to get my tires put on by one of the receptionist. NO ONE told me that my car wasn’t inspected and had to be inspected after servicing it. When I bought my vehicle from them, it should have been ready to go. Instead, I had to come back weeks later for the finished product. I live an hour and a half away from this place, so it was already an inconvenience driving back out. No one that I spoke to seemed to care about the situation. Danny Reyes, the sales manager was rude and sarcastic. And I quote, “I don’t know why you’re complaining, you got some new tires put on.” Those tires were suppose to be placed on before the vehicle was sold and taken home. We sat in service for 3 hours, and I probably would have sat there longer if we didn’t find a different employee to get involved. The sense of urgency was lacking. Making an appointment was pointless.Also, MAJORITY of the employees here do not wear a mask. More than 15 workers walked by us, and maybe 2 of those actually wore a mask, so if you’re looking to shop around at a cautious, courteous, and safe dealership, this one isn’t it.

Took my new truck for tire rotation and oil change: had a flat tire 1 day after they forgot to put in the wheel lock after they rotated tires I was stranded in Houston without a way to change out my tire. Called serviced they refused to help, never apologized. All they care about is making the initial sale and nothing else.

I have been a long time (7 years) loyal customer of Ron Carter and was treated like garbage at the Express Lane counter today and will now take my business to Clear Lake Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep. I purchased my Cherokee based off of a friends referral from this dealership 7 years ago and have always brought it back to Ron Carter for all of my service and repair needs. Today just like my last visit in June and many others before, I came in to have my oil changed at 12:30pm (the shop closes at 2pm). The representative at the counter asked if I had an appointment when I told him I was there for an oil change and that I always got my vehicle serviced there and it never required an appointment for an oil change. He told me he had been working there for a month and it was required, but explain the reason for the change. I then pulled up the website where it specifically states No Appointment Needed and he shrugged it off. Either RC needs to remove that statement from their website or this employee needs to be retrained in policy and customer service etiquette. This employee made me feel extremely disrespected today and that my business no longer mattered to the Ron Carter organization.

I was told to take my vehicle back to where I bought it from. They should not be authorized to carry the Jeep name if they are not going to honor work needed. Had 2 new RAM 1500s that got minor flood damage from Hurricane Harvey. Insurance had me take them for repairs & to check out all the electronics. The paperwork Said to pull the carpet & seats, change out the pads, drain & flush all fluids, replace all door speakers, replace the cabin filter, & detail them. They had both of them for 35 days & then charged me $5500 to get them out. All they did was sit them out back for 30 days to dry & then changed the oil & my wifes air filter. I complained to the service manager & my insurance, that they didnt do anything! Both trucks were filthy & reeked of mold! They wouldnt do anything about it. We got them out & Insurance totaled my wifes truck on the spot. We are trying to save mine & I will be taking it to another dealship to see if they can fix it. They are a bunch of Liars & Thiefs there!!!

A pretty bad experience. I gave Ron Carter Jeep the opportunity to match the deal I got at Southfork Jeep in Manvel. Ron Carter couldnt get within $5k of Southforks deal. They were kinda rude too. Its a shame because I live very close to Ron Carter Jeep. Im loving my new Southfork Jeep Gladiator though!!!!

I purchased a brand new 2020 Jeep Gladiator at the beginning of July and it has been in the service department for almost as much time as I’ve owned it. They say it needs a new engine at less than 4000 miles and it’s going to be in the shop for probably another month. So basically, I’m making payments on a car that I can’t drive. They did give me a rental of lesser quality that I’ve already been driving for 3 weeks. And now that I got a chip in the windshield, I’ve been informed that I will have to pay to replace the windshield . If that sounds like a fun experience to you then by all means purchase your new car here. Or you might want to consider a different brand an actually get to drive what you’re paying for.

Went to Ron Carter looking for a truck . Large selection of gently used trucks available . Liked how I was not followed by a salesman , got to shop untill I found the one I was interested in , then asked a salesman for help with it . Chazz was very knowledgeable about the truck and quick with a test drive . After the drive , we did paperwork for that truck but couldn’t get my credit union onboard as it was late and on a weekend . Came back Monday to finish paperwork, was in and out in an hour . Had a tonneau cover installed , just turned out to be the wrong one . General manager Danny made sure I was given the correct one as well as a rental !Service department was quick ! Dropped off my vehicle and was in a rental (loaner) within 10 minutes I was out ! I mentioned to him my disappointed to see at least half if not more of the other staff inside the show room not wearing face masks and no social distancing. Dont shop from this place. We was quoted 1hr to change tires out. We arrived 30 minutes before our appointment time we scheduled with them. Here it is 3 hours later and our vehicle is just now done. Nobody here has any urgency and they were very rude by trying to rush us out of the place after they got done with the vehicle.

This was my second time taken my car in for the annual car registration inspection for license renewal. I had called in the morning to see when I could get my car in to have it inspected. I was told we don’t make appointments for those; you can come anytime. She said they didn’t have any appointments for whatever until 4pm. So I got here just before 1pm. Was told when they get my car back it would only take 30 minutes. That’s what I was told last year as well. Last year, we had just moved here from another state so I didn’t know any better. But to have to wait just as long this year in the waiting area for just about two hours for this was crazy. I didn’t leave there until almost 3. Again, not once, but twice now. I would recommend having appointments made for these kind of things so people aren’t waiting there that long.

Had to take my car in for a service recall and got my car back with a check engine light on. When I called them about it they offered to check the code to find out why or go to a local store like Autozone or OReilly to have them check it. So I took it local. It seems my ABS sensor isnt reading. So I called the service department to find out if its something under warranty or not and how much itd be. Speaking with Wes over the phone said itd cost over $150 to diagnose the problem and then get a quote on getting it fixed. After he told me it wasnt under warranty anymore he started acting like he couldnt hear me anymore and hung up the line. Just because I said no about the price just to take it back up there.Worst customer service experience in a long time. I bought my car from this dealership and normally would bring it back here for oil changes or any issues but the last couple times were not the best. They started using cheap oil instead of the premium so I didnt go to them for the last oil change. They also charge extra for things that didnt need to like the air filter they brought out to show me needed replaced have damn leaves in it that none of the trees in my area or work have. I did approve the filter change anyway because I wanted to keep good faith with them.What kinda service department gives a vehicle back to the customer with a check engine engine light on and not talk to them about it? Also my car had to wait until the scheduled appointment days after having to be towed because of the service recall on the gear shift cable happened while driving. Which I kinda understand since they had a hella lot of vehicles there waiting but giving back my car with an added defect and dirty from sitting at their lot wasnt good service at all.My car did not have the check engine light on before I had to take it up there but had it after the service was done.

Dropped vehicle off before work. I was the first customer. They refused to assist me until 7am. I stood there while they literally did nothing for 10 minutes. Turned my vehicle over and caught a ride to work. Vehicle had a check engine light on. Called that afternoon to check on my truck. Hadnt even looked at it even though I had an appointment and was the first customer of the day. This would be a great place to open a service department.

Went in for an 11:30 appointment and showed up at 11:20 - they didn’t take my vehicle back until after 12:15. It wasn’t until I raised hell that they did anything about it. Let me just say Parts&Service here is Sub par. All the open bay doors were empty besides 4, and there wasn’t anyone in line outside of the maintenance before me waiting to get in Line. I’ve never had to wait over an hour and half for an oil change. I’ll be taking my Jeep to a different Dealership from here on out.
