The salon is nice looking and clean but that’s the only positive. I went in with a reference photo as to what I would like. I left with my hair looking choppy, cut uneven, the color is uneven in some spots and other spots look like they werent even touched with color, ultimately it is not what I wanted. I expressed that I was unhappy and that it wasn’t quite what I was hoping for and all I was told was to “come in for another session” and was still expected to pay an outrageous amount of money. I won’t publicly call her out by name but she said my idea was achievable and I 100% think it could’ve been, maybe if she was more skilled. Aside from that, all of the stylists were gossiping with each other hardly paying any attention to their customers even while doing their hair, so that was awkward and uncomfortable for me. I now have to go elsewhere to have my hair fixed due to the disaster that was done to me here. Do NOT recommend.

My wife had an appointment to get her hair colored and cut with a hair dresser that was supposed to be able to do multiple colors, since not everyone in town is the greatest at dying hair. When she had showed up for her appointment, she was informed that the hairdresser had left to go to another salon to work. The owner of Locks and Beards said that she should be able to do the style. My wife had 8 different photos for her to go off of. 4 hours and $250 dollars later, my wife came home crying over how her hair got screwed up. If the owner was incapable of doing what my wife had wanted, she should of told her that she will need to make an appointment with another hairdresser. We have talked to other hairdressers in town, and they had pointed out the colors were wrong, the cut was wrong, and it looks like a child had did this. I highly recommend to avoid this hair salon, due to if the owner takes on work she has no idea how to do right, whats to say the employees are following in her footsteps.

You would think every male barber in America knows what a Skin fade is, apparently not. Im pretty sure skin all the way up to my long hair is not. If I could give 0 I would.

The women that work here are WONDERFUL! They have a friendly atmosphere and staff. Desiree is amazing at coloring, cutting and styling! I take my whole family here! Totally 5 stars every time!

They are getting 3 stars because of the first 3 times I went. Desiree took her time and I really liked what I ended up with for color and cut. The last 2 times I went where terrible. Desiree double booked herself and rushed through my color which means it was orange and uneven. She made the other persons appointment the same day as mine. took only half an hr to do my hair and that includes bleach and cut. SO just hope she is not in a hurry if you decide to try it. I went in afterwords for a styling for a friends wedding which they forgot about and I was waiting for 20 min. when I finally got in there, the girl said she didnt know about me coming in even through she was standing right there when Desiree made my appointment and she even asked her if it was ok for her to do my hair since she wasnt going to be there. The girl let me know that she was only coming in a little early because she was going to do her mothers hair. She said that she can squeeze me in and hurry me through. She also acted really annoyed and now that I think about it so did Desiree when I went in to get a color. Desirees other client was only getting a hair cut. I mean really. I made both of the last 2 appointments weeks before. Terrible service. I will not be back. I am not going to pay as much money as I have and end up just being hurried through because someone called in the last min.

Great place for getting the slowest haircut on earth. Like having Tim Conways old man from Carrol Burnette Show bungle thru a haircut. Slow but very pleasant. Just plan to spend some time there.

For soldiers attending school at Camp Grafton check out Janelles Barber shop. Me and a couple guys went to Locks N Beards and ended up going to Janelles the next day to get it fixed. Terrible fades with visible lines and gouges by the couple older gentlemen cutting hair at Locks N Beards. The guys at Janelles got us all fixed up.
