Not a lot to see in this abandoned theater / parking garage. You can get a couple good photos of the main room but theres nothing else to see. Access costs $5, payable to the receptionist (which is probably also what it costs to park there) and then you walk up to the main level for a ten minute look.

Amazing old theater that’s been converted to a parking garage! They offer tours apparently. It says it is closed on weekends (we were there on a Saturday) but some investigating led us to determine you can do a self guided tour for five dollars. You don’t learn the history but get to check out this cool spotAlso - this is where they filmed part of the movie 8 mile. The scenes where rabbit is in the rap battle

For the record. This ia for the parking structure. It was super creepy. But creepy cool. I loved the history of the building. And that you could see the past architecture. But i just felt unsafe. But it was was cheap and easy to park.

Beautiful theatre used as a parking space. The top floor is open to visit (5$) upon reservation (but you might be lucky to find somebody in the building to take you upstairs)The falling ceiling is such a great feature and worth the visit!

An old theater that has been converted into a multi level car park. The filming location of scenes in Eminems 8 Mile and also S03E01 of Grand Tour. A waiver has to be signed before entry.

Five stars for the Pisano who leases the parking and tried to help me access the garage but knew what I was dealing with. One star for the building management who wouldn’t let me in.

Dont forget to stop at the desk and let them hustle you out of $5 to walk through the parking garage after you have paid $19 to park.

Has to be the coolest and most historical parking garage in the city hands down. Great place to tailgate on a rain day. Architecture from the old theater still very much apparent. I personally think its a great dishonor turning this into a parking garage but its better then it just sitting empty and as much as I hate the fact it is still pretty cool seeing all the cars parked in there as your looking back in time.

I am disgusted when I see this. A part od the once magnificent building is simply cut out and there is a multi storey parking inside. Where there was once a grand entrance to the lobby, there are now two driveways going in.

Only because of the musty smell of the lobby. Security guard is rude and old the building is the former Michigan Theatre beautiful memories and they had the most beautiful historic parking structure. I took my daughter to a meeting in the building. But after you pass the lobby the building holds office spaces.

Its rather about Michigan Theatre, which was located right next to Michigan Building. Its very sad place which shows that people do not care about their history and they just thing about money, a lot of money. The historic theatre was partly demolished, because workers at Michigan Building wanted parking spaces. I mean historic, beautifully decorated place. Today its devasted and I think it will never be back to its days of glory. Sad.

Ive been trying to park inside this building for quite some time and I succeeded on the day of the Ford Fireworks show. There were about 10 cars parked there, and only one other on the upper deck. I assume it is open whenever there is a big event, like a baseball game. Parking fee is $10,- and totally worth it. Its both sad and really beautiful (a bit like Detroit itself).

It’s amazing to see how history made an ugly impact on this building. It should be developed as one of Detroit’s attractions but it’s really just a parking lot now. Really disappointed.

A convenient parking structure with friendly management and unusual views. Relatively close to Comerica Park, so they open it for parking during events (usually about $10). Its not every day that you get to park in an old theater.

This is a part of the history of Detroit and Michigan. Ford started his line of vehicles here. Theres a plaque on the wall outside to tell u the history of the landmark. Plus some of 8 Mile (Eminem) was shot in there. My peeps have a VFX Company in there. If anyone is interested in great VFX material to promote & advance their business advertising to the next level, then plus utilize the great skills of Shadow Team VFX.

Really nice old historical place. You should definitely go to the top park deck and let the beauty of the old architecture sink in. I find it very impressive but at the same time a shame that the building has been neglected so much. Its really a shame that it has now come down so bad. The old theater now only serves as a park house. A historical place is being lost here.
