Worst business wifi Ive ever had. Signals dont reach certain rooms. Weak signals. Weak equipment at extra expensive prices. No wifi since August 15 th. Yet customer service tells me im under contract for their lack of service. I quit

Im writing this out of frustration. Many have no choice to get their internet - no other options in some areas. DO NOT GET THEIR TV package and DO NOT GET THEIR DVR options. I just moved here from Arizona and they convinced me that cable TV would be more reliable in storms and hurricanes than satellite. Made sense . . . its not. Everytime it rains, the DVR is glitchy and unwatchable because its not stored at home - it has to connect virtually on the cloud. No clue why it makes a difference, but it does. Impossible to get anyone to respond to fix it.

You can NEVER got anyone on the phone at the Destin office.They delete appointments you’ve had for almost 2 weeks & will not honor their mistake or offer a solution. They simply give you another appointment that is at least a week away from the original appointment you waited for in the first place.Nobody has a clue who is doing what & what services are attached to your account to send the right technician out. It’s nothing but a mess at this location.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was transferring service from a previous owner of the house and confirmed numerous times that the service would not be shut off so it didnt impact renters of the house. The day of the transfer Cox shut off services creating a terrible experience for my renters. Horrible experience with the local staff. They do not know what they are doing even though I confirmed numerous times. DO NOT USE COX.

Their Panoramic 3.1 modem makes a loud humming noise from the fan inside. Switched out the modem and second one does the exact same thing. Their equipment is cheap and refurbished.

Very bad customer service. I was told someone would come out to install our internet on November 2nd and I just received Internet on December 1st. I called and I was repeatedly told someone would be coming out the next day to set-up service and then no one would show-up. Then when someone finally came out they said they would arrive between 8-10am. They showed up at 10:30.

STOP RECYCLING BROKEN CABLE BOXES!! TWO TIMES my Dad drove to the store to replace a malfunctioning box and both times both cable boxes didnt work. The first said there was something wrong and tech support couldnt reboot it. The second time a picture didnt even display due to an HDMI issue. You all are worse than Mediacom, which I didnt think would be possible. His house is an hour away from your store. Thanks for waisting my dads time and money. Were off to a satellite TV provider.

These reviews except for the ones with the people are purely their experience. I have had Cox for home and my office before I moved home based for over 20 years and if you have problems it is a result of the wiring in YOUR home or business NOT the service. The few glitches I have had in 20 years were from user error so please write those reviews about yourself because I have not been disappointed in over 20 years. Want disappointment, then move to Santa Rosa Beach for a couple of years and deal with Mediacom or Century Link and then we can talk about unreliability. I partly moved back to Destin because the service was constantly out. Four stars because their cable is way too expensive with all of the streaming services out there now adays. Havent used their cable service in years.

No internet, nobody is picking up the phone for costumer service. Internet will work only few hours a day then shuts down. No other devices is connected to the wifi except the TV and still the connection shuts off. Tried to contact via phonecall and the app support but no help. Terrible. Will need a better internet provider soon. Any suggestions?

Terrible service, can’t fix anything in the store (service fees) must call customer service. So what is the point in having a store with employees that can’t help you. Save yourself the trip or the hassle. I switched to Emerald Harbor communication.

Been using them for 3 years, nowI have an honest review. Never have enough people working and the ones there are incredibly slow. Never return your calls if you leave a message so dont bother with that. Employees are nice but this office is ran really bad.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I am a new customer with cox as our building was pre-wired with them. We weren’t given any other option. I was told that WiFi would be ready to go once we moved in, all I had to do was login! That has not been the case. I use internet for school and work so it’s been very frustrating not to have the services that I was promised. I have called countless times over the last 3 days only to be transferred from one person to another. EVERYONE I’ve spoken to has said something different to say about why it’s not working. I was on the phone today for 2 hours, transferred between 5 different people. As they transfer you to another department, they do not properly attach notes so you have to keep providing the same information such as your name, pin, reason for calling. No one has been able to help. We had even had a tech scheduled and no one showed, they didn’t even call. I was given no courtesy as to why. It’s basically been an awful experience. I called my building management asking if I could use another provider and unfortunately since the building is pre-wired and they have some sort of agreement, using cox here is my only option. We still do not have WiFi . If you have another option please take it. These people do not know how to do business.

Closed on weekends when most people have the flexibility to handle their business. At least be open partial hours on Saturday. Even customer support via phone has limited hours. Maybe it’s due to how many people are ditching cable.

I went in to exchange my broken modem and the three guys working there were awesome. They advised me on how to get the cheapest modem with an extended warranty and I had to come back a couple times to get every thing set up. (that was all my fault as I picked out the wrong model of modem from a different place, but they did everything they could to make that one work for me before they asked if I could return it and see about getting a different type). Once I had the right one for my needs, I was in and out. And now Im back up and running! Saved my skin, as Im a student and needed the internet to study for a midterm the next day.

Ive been sitting here for 45 minutes in the waiting room to swap out a few boxes. There are 2 employees working and while nice, they are both signing up people for new services and theres a waiting room full of about 10 people. There should be more employees here to include a dedicated person to sign people up for accounts. This is pretty ridiculous.

Nice looking store, incompetent staff. I moved from another Cox market, so should have been an easy process right? Wrong. They said my modem would work. Nope, another trip needed to get a new one. They said I needed a new cable box but didn’t activate it properly. 2 hours of tech support calls to get that fixed. Then on top of that, they “lost” my old cable box and charged me for it. Anyone you try to talk to just gives you the run-around.

The ladies at this store were not only very knowledgeable but extremely friendly and helpful. The customer service here was a cut above with a personal greeting, free popcorn while waiting and a personal escort out of the store for every customer when finished. Thank you for a very efficient and pleasant experience!

Scheduled an appointment for install. To start, the install was $75. Technician showed 2 hours after the end of the quoted service window. I called after he hadn’t shown up and the answer I got from customer service was sometimes they’re late. I had to talk customer service into inquiring on technicians location. When they finally checked, he quoted me a time that was off by an hour and a half from when the technician showed up. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was sent directly to a voicemail. Never got a call back. Cox customer services is atrocious. Actively looking for other ISPs.

Cox business is the most incompetent business I have dealt with. With the exception of 1 customer services rep (Stephanie Orcutt), there is no customer service! They are unhelpful and dont know what they are doing. I had at least three people tell me that what I wanted was impossible, only to find out that it was an easy fix. Once I got past customer service and to the business people, one person named Roderic was very nice and helpful. the next guy I got, however, basically told me that because his computer would allegedly do what I wanted, and mine wouldnt - it was my fault and they couldnt help me! SHeESH

If you need reliable internet.. cox is nowhere in your ball game.. not even close.. I am paying for the ultimate package and Im only getting 50 MB download speeds. After many technicians coming out to check on everything they said I have everything new and all my wiring is brand-new. So they all have no idea why I am getting such low speeds. The technician I spoke with advised me to go down to a lower speed just so I dont have to pay for what I am not getting. When I did this the speed got worse it went down to around 20 or less. So I am now stuck on the ultimate paying high prices and Cox cable will not do anything for me. They gave me a $15 discount when I first signed up and because of that they said there is no other discount. So I am still paying a lot more than what I am actually getting and they dont care to compensate me for this. And their minds im just another unhappy customer. I would strongly advise against Cox communications. I dont know any other companies and dont know if they are any better. But Cox communications is definitely horrible. If only they can get me to pay for what I am getting I will be happy with that but they dont even want to do that. All they care for is the money.

I signed up for a $99 package for TV and internet even though I did not need the TV and I never watch TV I needed the higher speed internet so it was only a few bucks more to get the TV. I also signed up for automatic withdrawals out of my checking account. I just found out that I have been being charged $190 per month and the best they said they could do is backdate it one month and give me a credit of $30! They could not produce anything that I signed saying I agreed to pay more than $99 a month yet they have taken hundreds and hundreds of dollars from me and refused to refund. Never trust a phone or cable company.

Got a letter telling me I needed a new modem. Free upgrade. Instructions said order online. Site said couldnt process. Called number on letter. Was told I didnt have an account. After a morning of sorting it out I was told a modem could not be shipped but technician would install new one. Made appt for today, 10am -12pm. At 3:30 and 2 calls to Cox still no technician. Wasted my day. Now they are shipping modem. I hope. Why is always like this with them?

I used to love Cox Cable and say I wouldnt have anyone else but now if I had a choice they would be my last.there is no other Cable companies that service in our area, I have had nothing but problems from this company the only reason I still have them is because if I want to watch any kind of TV at all I have to go through them. I had it set up so my payment would come directly from my checking account not only did they take a double payment then they cut off my service saying I didnt pay them, I argued with them for a week and ended up paying them another payment ( now $280.00 3 payments) just to keep my cable on , so now I have to drive to destin every month , pay toll booth ways $8.00 extra just to pay my bill and make sure its taken care of. I also was paying $120.00 for cable and internet for the last two years then they tell me the promotion went off (it lasted two years???) and now my bill is at $150.00 a month for internet that is slow as molasses and cable where I only watch a few channels, so I decided to cut some of the channels we dont watch anyway but they cut all the good channels out and now if I want to use the internet not only do I have to wait for a half hour for it to load ( and yes I timed it last night trying to watch a video) when it does eventually load it buffers every few seconds. The people at the Destin store ARE NOT FRIENDLY OR HELPFUL they have no knowledge about the equipment or promotins or any way to help you. I have been with Cox cable for 9 years now (NOT BY CHOICE ) and IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! , IT IS ONE OF THE WORST CABLE COMPANIES IVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY WORST SERVICE EVER.

If I will be able to give zero stars I will, I make a 24 months contract with a price lock, well after 12 months my price was increased by $45 approx, when I went to the office in Uptown Station they told me well the employee fail to tell you that after the month 12 we increase the price. I try to find a solution because Im on a budget well after a month waiting to see if something can be done because I has children that need access to internet for few homeworks few times a week well, after waiting for the month and 2 to 3 visit to cox office, calls to customer service and contacting cox through Facebook messengers nothing was resolved after a month. I cancelled my contract today and Im super happy to pay to dont have cox anymore because for early termination you need to pay to be release.

Bad initial install (9 hours late - Jaguer Tech Cox contractor). Service failed after voltage spike via the cable fried my router, Apple TV, Roku, plus wireless VOIP phones. Second installer left with nothing working - no internet, TV, phone all ions. Being billed for double the price stated and after several calls to Cox, trip to the Destin location, unable to reach anyone who will address the issues. Cox will not return calls and overfilling for a different service than I requested. Destin store said phone not working (communications company) and send email. I did - no reply. Detecting a trend for Cox solutions.

Very rude for a first time customer, customer service is very misleading with a lack of consideration and manners. Technician came to my home which I am leasing suggested a written document from owner to validate two holes in wall for connection then I called back trying to get more information about this document when a guy directed me to a whole different department. Next day called for just internet service then Im in their system for no reschedule until i present document which for internet you only need a modem. Forget this unorganized company go with a parent company!!
