Mail delivery service has been horrendous for the past 18 months and its only getting worse. Two packages were out for delivery yesterday. I kept tracking them up until 9:20PM. The final time I checked the tracking showed that an attempt was made to deliver but it failed at 7:50PM. I was home all day and my front gate was unlocked. I checked my security camera and found no attempted delivery. Now it says the packages are available for me to physically pick them up. The carrier (who never showed up) did not leave a pink slip for pick up. I called the DHS post office starting at 9:10Am and the line just kept ringing and ringing. After the 6th attempt, someone answered and Im still on hold after 20 minutes. Horrible customer service and LIARS for mail carriers makes this branch a NIGHTMARE and a DISGRACE!

Our mail lady leaves our packages out in the open for everyone to see (on our driveway instead of the door) AND continuously gives me neighbors mail. Makes me wonder if someone else is receiving my mail. Smh!

No stars, I have been a Post Office box holder for many years from Los Angeles to here in Desert Hot Springs. The Postmaster is very lazy and did not follow up with my complaint with an error on an arriving package. People please complain and maybe we can clean up the laziness or irresponsibility of the workers/postmaster here. It starts from the top. forced to give 1 star to post this. Shape up or ship out.

Have not received mail for 3 straight days. I actually watched the mail truck bypass our block today!! Who do you talk to about this? What a bad service we have. I would be embarrassed to work for this post office. Really sad.

Mail is missing from po box. Informed delivery says i have mail but it mysteriously does not make it into my pobox. A few checks i was waiting for were opened in the corner to see the amount. IRS mail never received. I was sent a picture from informed delivery showing my IRS stimulus notification it was never in my pobox. Its been two weeks and im still looking for it. Something fraudulent is going on with the mail delivery.

Worst customer service went in to pick up my package that was said was held there by my request never made such request and they tell me it’s out for delivery I’ve never had problems like this with fedex or ups they need to train their staff more and the girl who “helped” didn’t even bother to look fo my package what a big help the USPS needs to evaluate their employees

I’ve always had a pleasant experience at this location. Most times there are lines where you have to wait but staff at the counter move the line as quickly as possible and are always attentive and willing to help.

Very bad experience with trying to get my mail or packages delivered. Today I was supposed to get a package delivered, Ive bee home all day waitimg for it. When i go and checked the status of my delivery they posted that my package wasnt delivered do to that they couldnt access the delivery locations. Keep in mind I have cameras, i went to check the cameras and he or she never try to deliver at 6:30pm. If they couldnt deliver then why not say so, instead of making look like we were not here. It has happen more then once. And if it does get deliver they just throw it over the fence and not even bother to go up to the door. They dont know whats inside so why not be careful.

I havent received my mail for about 7 days straight on the application its saids you got mail delivered but when I check theres nothing on my mail box whats going on.

If youve never lived during socialism praised nowadays by democrats, the USPS and DMV is how it would be with pretty much every service in the country - not caring, contemptuous towards customers, rude. Once the competition is gone - the quality of service goes away with it.

I was in the shop , opening sign on but locked the door ,a bell in front is working , delivery person came I did not know because no bell ringing .How do I know package coming , I was working inside .My husband has surgery tomorrow in LA for 3 days, 2-3 hrs driving.I have to get a package at 9am before leaving DHS to LA otherwise When I come back from LA my package send it back to company.Last time A guy from USPS called for picked up a package because business had temporarily closed for 3 months , I don’t have any papers but I had a phone number from USPS when I went there and asking my business address for my package,Nobody knew who calling then I went to ups ,no my package but the phone from USPS then I went back again, it’s not a good situation and answer,

Lately our service has improved, still not great, but better. Sunday, we were on a walk with our dogs and noticed several pieces of mail scattered near our home in DHS. on our way we flagged down a delivery vehicle who was delivering a package for me. We explained about the mail and gave him what we gathered including tax bills. He took them and went back to relieve the others we couldnt reach. Good job. Service is still not up to par, but this is a step in the right direction. We are still getting lots of mail that are for other neighbors. We tend to hand deliver them, but thats not our job.

I travel the country full time for work and leisure. Have used many usps locations across the states. This one topped the cake.Brought in a package to ship out, was ready to go beside one piece of tape down the middle. The reason I didn’t tape, was to ensure that it was the most cost effective way to ship. (Needed to compare to the “flat rate boxes”)It was cheaper to ship the item in my personal box.When I asked the worker (it was a man), if there was tape available to close the box. He stated “I would have to buy a whole roll of tape off the wall. They don’t have any available for free”No location has ever required this. They usually hand you the priority shipping roll of tape.Also, while waiting a worker decided to take a break when there was a line of 5+ people.

DHS Post Office SUCKS, point blank!

So I ordered some stuff online and the receipt came with the tracking number. So of course I track it, and my products were said to have been delivered a Friday.. Its Monday and I still havent received a thing from them. Plus, I call and the phone line is said to be busy. What kind of a post office is this!? At least answer your phone. I dont have a car so I cant even go see whats up. This is absolutely ridiculous.

The supervisor needs to have a serious talk with Ana. The lady that helped us. We came into the post office about 3 minutes before closing. We went to the front and we were helped by a gentlemen (i did not catch his name) he told us we needed to write down the address, so he handed us a marker and we stepped to the little island they have behind us so he can help the person next in line. As we were filling out the shipping address Ana came to the front said excuse me to get our attention. so we turned around and she started with an aggressive tone saying we are closed, you cant just walk in here. we were very confused and told her we were here. and that the gentlemen was helping us, we just need to fill out the shipping address. so she yelled at us to hurry up because they were closed. saying there was nobody here in the front when we walked in. she had just gotten there to the front so i dont know why she would assume that. while we finished writing the address on the box she kept making noises with her mouth because she was annoyed im guessing like a kid when you tell them to do something they dont want to. it was the most childish and unprofessional thing i have experienced in a while. I do not know why she is in this industry if her customer service is horrible. i will definitely not be coming back to this location.

Just got notification that my package was delivered to mailbox. . Went outside to get it.. nothing in the mailbox. Why is my package not in there? Did your employee steal it? Was it delivered to another person? I never have an issue with my packages.. but I have not received two packages so far.. not happy. Will be looking into further. . Still on hold ONE HOUR PLUS - government at work, maybe President needs to drain this swamp too... relief driver leaves packages of food, dog food and perishables at OPEN front gate... why does it say it was delivered to door or porch? ??? My previous mail man. He would not take mail, with the flag up. He would give people other peoples mail. He always had this weird attitude. It was so bad. I was forced to report this carrier.

On Monday, July 24, 2017, at approximately 0925 hours a.m., I had to demand that they give me my signature document that was connected to a tracking receipt. I had to keep the Supervisor from closing her little door on me because she tried to keep my tracking receipt. When I snatched my docs from her hand, she threatened to call the cops and probably did because she followed me outside, so I filed a complaint on her. Case #find out for yourself. Everyone is right about this place treating citizens like dog dirt, and that is going to change for the better very, very soon.

Failed to deliver packages claimed unable to find address yet this is a MHP with over 100 units that gets mail on regular basis -- real reason lazy driver did not want to work late and returned package go FEDEX or UPS

Instead of complaining about why the mail is always late, I did some research and even asked the mail carrier.1. There is no guarantee of a time which your mail will be delivered; except for Express Mail which is delivered by 12 noon. These people work hard and have to deal with co-workers being out unexpectedly which of course will delay the usual (but not guaranteed) time your mail is delivered. If you like the time you get your mail, thank them, but realize they have little control over when they can get there with your mail.2. As for always being at a certain late hour, realize that someone is the FIRST delivery in the AM and someone in the LAST delivery in the PM. Perhaps you are towards the end of a long route which is the end of the day.Sick days, sick kids, doctors appointments, carriers getting sent to other local offices because THAT office is short-handed, it all creates a bunch of extra work for the USPS - cut em some slack...they work hard (and no, I dont work for them).

This Post Office and its Supervisors need to be investigated for fraud. Apparently they are stealing peoples packages/merchandise then claiming they cant find it. They are an embarrassment to the postal service. Come on, no big brown box suddenly vanishes out of thin air. I wouldnt trust receiving another package through them. Make sure to write down the names of who you complain to and file a report every time something comes up missing.

Everyone seems competent, most speak Spanish as well as perfect English. They work quickly and efficiently. I think they do a good job.

I had a problem with a package and accidentally had it sent to my old address (tenant said they had returned it to the post office). When I went to the office to ask about the package being returned to them the employee Jay was terribly rude and a bit sarcastic about getting the correct address and should look into getting a return label on packages and it felt like I was being rushed out the door.

My mail was being delivered after 6 pm everyday,. When I submitted inquiries I received a call from DHS USPS supervisor. He was very professional and sympathetic but explained to that issues were caused by vacations and people calling out sick. Understandable, he then referred me to call the 800 #, as he couldnt do anything else. Very professional, including reps at 800# who stated the same issues, and would expedite my issue to next level and expect a ca9ll back Mon or Tuesday.Sat.morning I get a call from a Ms. Lalova , playing supervisor LYING telling me theyre changing routes and it will be 2 more weeks . After 6 wks of 6pm deliveries . When I said info was different from other reps she too bad this is it and theres nothing I can do. I asked for her name, no name. I asked her yo leave issue open until Tues for 800# reply, No, Im closing it now. HANGS UP!.So unprofessional, EXCEPT I got her name from email. DISGRACEFUL. I WILL FILE ANY COMPLAINTS I CAN! UNSYMPATHETIC JERKGo get another job!

I swear with these carriers that deliver. I buy stuff online and is been happening frequently they tell me that my package was delivered according to the tracking but yet I cant find my item nowhere to be found. Plus they always deliver my items and my mail to the wrong house like they dont know the difference between Apartment A and Apartment B, is right there on the address, plus they deliver one package but cant deliver the other one now i need to pick it the hell up at the post offices

I try not to leave reviews at all if I dont have something good to say BUT, Ive been very patient and I have been trying to be understanding but they keep leaving wrong mails/packages into our box and sending our letters to neighbors boxes..A couple of important mails that I was supposed to receive never arrived and the sender had given me a call as soon as the mail was sent out..their phone never works (I always get a busy signal) . Ive also had our mail held at the post office for weeks (or what reason, Im unsure)..its starting to get frustrating.

Today I was expecting a package, so I had plans to just stay home!!! I hear a knock on my door and I happened to only be 3 steps away. I open the door in 3 seconds and the lady was already walking off with my package and writing on a slip and had already written DNA it, which Im assuming for did not answer. She didnt even give me 10 seconds to answer the door!!! This isnt even the first time its happened. A few months ago it was same situation but that time when I got to the door she was already in her truck about to drive off!!!! Terrible service, no patience and what a terrible way to inconvenience people who were ready to receive their package and would have to wait another day!!!! God forbid of I shouldve had to pre right before or had to deal with one of my 2 babies!!!!

Wow, customer service really has gone down the drain these days. Walked into this office at literally 30 seconds past 5:00pm and got in line. Theres hardly anyone in line, and no one walking up behind me, and the girl behind the counter of course has to tell me that theyre closed and to come back tomorrow. Really?! One last customer is going to kill you?! After asking to speak to a manager, she tells me to just forget it and stay in line. I end up having to go to her little booth, I probably should have waited for someone else to be available as she seemed very irritable to begin with. I explain to her that I was told that I have to send my package registered because its some of my dads remains going to his girlfriend. She says its a little light to be remains, like Im lying. I explained that its just a little vial. She then continues to tell me, oh, come on, you dont even have an address on here!! I explain that I have the address in my pocket and isnt she there to help me with that?! (Sorry, Im not a shipping professional!!) She frustrated me to the point of saying, screw it, Ill go to UPS, and left. She acted like she couldnt be happier. What a way to treat a customer, especially when you know theyre obviously going thru the loss of their father. The girl usually seems nice, but she must of had a party or something to get to today, because her customer service skills were non-existent this time around. Worst thing is when I got to UPS, they said USPS Priority would be cheaper and faster. So now I have to go back to this place tomorrow. Sucks when one employee can ruin a whole post office for you. Now Im gonna be dreading everytime I have to go to this place. If theyre gonna be that anal about it, they need to get the cage locked up before anyone else gets in line!!

What has happened to the DHS Post Office? It seems that since the Baby Boomer Generation has retired and the Millennials (Generation X & Y) has taken over, service has gone down the tubes and prices up. I live in Mission Lakes Country Club, located in Desert Hot Springs, where your Post Office provides me service. Since Terry retired, my mail has not been delivered at least three times, delivered to the wrong address, or delivered after 9 p.m. I even received a hand-written note in my mailbox stating that why they could not deliver was because there was an auto parked in front of my mailbox. For your knowledge, there was no auto parked in front of my mailbox on the date that I received the idiotic note. This is one main reason that most of us are going paperless and paying our bills on-line. It seems that your new generation of employees seem not to be compassionate or caring about their jobs. The best of luck in improving the professionalism in your employees ( the Give-Me and You Owe Me Generation.Just to let you, yesterday , 11/17 was another day with no mail delivery. This has also occurred several other times. ALSO!, When or if my mail is delivered, it is usually between 8-9 p.m. That is ridiculous! I did not receive my package and it was IMPOSSIBLE to reach a real person to complain or ask about it (they claimed it was put into my mail box but I never received it). Wait times on the phone to inquire about it (once I reached a place to speak to a real person and not a computer) were over twenty minutes!! I am thoroughly disgusted with the bad service, and I really miss my merchandise.

I ordered a package on November 1st, and was suppose to arrive on the 3rd but never arrived. It is currently the 14th of November, and have still not received anything. The order status has been stuck on DELIVERY STATUS NOT UPDATED since the 3rd of November. They also keep you on hold on the phone for what it seems like hours. Terrible USPS
