Im from out of town and was really agonizing about where to go because I have an amazing nail tech and salon back home. This place had 4.6 stars vs the others that had 4.3 and 4. Im always a skeptic about nail salons when I travel because I go to a really nice salon back home. My tech doesnt use drills to remove my gel and I get builder gel/hard gel so its been a struggle to find a salon that does hard gel without destroying the nail. My review is 100% based on the standard set by my salon at home which is a bit more luxurious and charges twice as much so keep that in mind as you keep reading.My nail tech at American was pretty rough on my nails. She moved very fast and was just rough. The nail tables didnt seem exceptionally clean by my standards but I watched them sanitize so I know they were clean. We (3 of us) arrived at 12. We called ahead of time to find out the best time to arrive and they told us noon but they didnt start on us until 12:30. They didnt actually start on my nails until 12:45. I think they may be a bit understaffed. Not a big deal since most places are understaffed these days. The ladies seemed to be sort of taking their time once they finished with their previous clients as well.The women who worked there were VERY friendly and quite funny. Im giving 3 stars instead of 2 because the women were so kind kind sweet. The final product was average. I have gel polish on my skin and one of my friends has one nail that doesnt match the other. My other friend got nicked while her tech was doing her cuticles. All of this could have been avoided if the ladies would have slowed down.Overall I would say if you are looking to get your nails done quickly this place could be good, especially if you dont mind being handled roughly. If you are looking for a place who actually cares about the health of your nails and will give them a little more attention and care this is not the place to go.

I love going to American Nails! Kimmy is great and does an amazing job. I get the dip powder and she always makes it look more natural, not thick like other places I went to in the past. I highly recommend them!

This is a very nice cozy family friendly atmosphere all the ladys were very sweet and took personal time to make sure me and my birthday girl and her friend were taken care of they do amazing work !!! Thankyou the men of the family came in to help clean up after 🥰

I went in last minute, I called at 5 to see if they could do a full set. I went in and instead of trying to rush because they close at 6 on Sundays they gave a true royal treatment. Linda gave me the best pedicure I’ve have in a long time. Kimmy came over and started doing my nails and it was just fabulous. My nails came out so elegant and classy. They were both so attentive, I had such a long week and it was exactly the reset for a new week that I needed. The atmosphere was amazing, everyone in there was so happy and laughing and just genuinely glad to be there, clients and techs alike.

I have been going to American Nails for several years now. I love the work Kimmy and all the girls do. I always leave happy with the services and I love the fact that everyone is so FRIENDLY! Kimmy treats her clients like close friends and family. Especially love seeing her family working along side her!!!! Will always recommend American Nails!!!

Kimmy and her sister Yen were absolutely amazing. They were able to get my friend and I in at the last minute. Yen is the Doctor of pedicures and did such a great job. She was attentive and made sure I was comfortable. And Kimmy did the best dip nail set I have ever had!!!. Definitely worth your money. They are so sweet and funny. Best nail salon experience ever!

Have been coming here for a while and I absolutely love the way my nails come out every time. Tried different nail salons through out the years and finally found a place that does them the way I like. The employees are great people, atmosphere is comfortable. I also like the fact how they remember their customers. Just quality, prices and the employees make a huge difference. Definitely will be back.

I have been in to see Linda and Kimmy a few times now, and they are very friendly and sweet. Linda does AMAZING pedicures, and I loved the gel mani Kimmy did for me. Great color selection, as well as nail art. Highly suggest for long lasting beautiful nails.

Freaking awesome. Ive had my nails done all over the country. This place did the best dip nails I have ever had, and I do not say that lightly. They also last the longest and have not chipped or fallen off yet and its been 3 weeks. Kimmie was very sweet and complimentary. 10/10 would recommend.

Unfortunately my experience at American Nails was less than ideal. My pedicure came out nice, I am happy with the work I received, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. From the second I walked in, I was discriminated against. As a Spanish woman, Im used to the occasional glare or two, but the fact that at one point I felt like I was going to cry because of how horrible they were to me, is enough to make me never return. I understand everyone has bad days, but when Im being treated differently than the white woman next to me theres a big problem. I write this not in a negative way, but in hopes that any other Spanish woman thinking about going to this salon will read this and reconsider, because NO ONE deserves to feel the way I did during my visit here.

Linda and Amy were my nail techs and they were incredible! So professional and caring, I felt so cared for and after this being my first time there, Im definitely going to be heading there moving forward for all of my nail needs. Thank you to the staff and I cant wait to see you all again.❤️

This salon is the only place I go for my mani/pedi’s. I feel like family when I walk in the door. The owner is kind, compassionate and the salon is CLEAN!!! As a nurse I’m very concerned regarding cleanliness and this salon goes above and beyond to protect the customers from potential infection. I highly recommend this salon!!!

My mom and I don’t usually get our nails done. First time coming here since the place I was going to in Massachusetts wasn’t doing my nails great the last few times . This is the first ever nail salon that felt homey very welcoming everyone was so sweet. All of them take a lot of pride in the work they do and are very Meticulous. They do a fantastic job! My nails came out beautifully the shape is perfectly filed and all even and they have a wide selection of colors to choose from..color changing cat eye temp changing many different options I highly recommend them!

Extremely disappointed. They assured me they would match the color I wanted but it came out completely different. The stylist Linda I had didnt speak English but instead forcefully grabbed and moved my hands. She cut and filed all my natural length down to nothing after I asked several times to leave length. Manager refused to make it right. Also over priced. They dont deserve the one star even.

Came into American nails for the first time today, I was greeted promptly , and treated like royalty from the moment I arrived . I got a pedicure with a collagen treatment and hot stone massage . Amy did an amazing job . She took her time and gave me a extra long massage . Super relaxing , I’ll be back again .

I had Linda for a pedicure. She was so nice and I really enjoyed the foot massage. It was the best massage I’ve had.

I called for a pedicure at 9:00 AM and Kimmy came in and opened a little early for me so I could get in before a birthday party! She gave the best pedicure I have ever gotten... seriously amazing! Terrible experience. I got a pedicure and she was not gentle at all. It was the most painful pedicure ive ever gotten as she was basically stabbing and cutting under my skin with the tools she used. The lady asked me if I wanted my nails cut and I said no, she continues to get my toe nails to the absolute smallest they could go. It hurts to put pressure on my toes because of how short she cut my nails. Not to mention the polish is streaky because she touched the polish to see if it had dried, which it had not and then didnt fix it. Never going back, ever.

Absolutely love it here. They dont treat you like a number but friends. Been going for a few months now and refuse to go anywhere else. Kimmy & her crew are wonderful

Kim , is awesome at her craft. She takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond.. Even making your nails one of a kind look with designs. Staff is pleasant even in a pandemic takes steps to keep you feel safe.

I asked for a specific design and it came out exactly like the photo. I had a super fun time. And my nails look super good!!!

Went here yesterday and was blown away by the service and how great my nails came out. It was Easter Sunday and I had a broken nail and my original place wasn’t open. I called here and kimmy answered and was willing to open up and fit me in even tho she was closed for the day. She did AMAZING nails and I will continue to go here for my nails from now on. The pedi was great as was the 🍷 😍😍 very friendly people who take there time but also hurry and do a great job!! Got my nails done and picked dip for the 1st time and it only took 20 mins which was fantastic because i was in a hurry to pick up my SO. Spent over an hour in the pedi chair and i have to say the hot stone massage on my legs was by far my favorite part!!

My friend and I went for pedicures and the minute we sat in the chairs a women was pressuring us to upgrade our pedicure. We said no, more than once, but continued to get pressured to purchase the more expensive experience. She then decided to give us a Valentine’s Day “deal” and give us the experience for the same price as the regular pedicure. Upon payment we saw the prices on a small piece of paper by the counter. They had NOT given us a deal and instead really charged us for the upgraded pedi. They took advantage of our age, that we didn’t know the prices, and it was our first time. We still tipped them, and when given the tip amount they gave us snide looks. Once we got home we realized the polish was horrible! Will not be returning

Got a full set and amazing service from the sweetest nail tech Amy!! They took great Covid precautions and took their time with each individual customer to make sure they were beyond satisfied! Definitely will be my new nail spot :)

Follow covid guidelines, and always clean with amazing service and pricing. Ive been coming for a year or so and I have never had a complaint. Just like any beauty service sometimes theres a little wait but that has never been an issue for me as I block out time to not rush the professionals or myself

American nails is amazing. The workers are really friendly, funny, and really care about their customers. I called after they had closed not realizing they were closed and Kimmy came all the way back to the salon to do my nails for me. She did a fantastic job and made sure they were exactly what I wanted.

I was a faithful client of another salon for over 3 years until the owner seemed to loose his passion for nails. The last few times I went to that salon he heaped on acrylic and my nails looks awful. I found American Nails based on the positive reviews on Google. Kimmy was awesome and she commented on the mountains of acrylic on my nails. She spent a great deal of time getting my acrylic nails to look perfect and natural.Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcome. Kimmy strives for perfection and today she even gave me hearts for Valentines Day. American Nails if my new salon. You wont be disappointed with their excellent customer service! I NEVER write a review about a business but I really felt I had to for this .. I gave them 3 chances before I left ... the first time I went they took me in right away but had me sitting with my hands soaking for about 45 and they weren’t even busy then finally did my nails. I was like ok whatever it was a little long but whatever... the second time my appointment was at 1230 but they didn’t see my until a little past 1 because the nail tech was late and didn’t get there until 1250 and then she took her time to take me up but I gave them some grace again... third time was it... my appointment was at 1 (for just a gel mani) and she didn’t seat me until 145!!!! Had me sitting with my nails soaking until 230!!!! Didn’t get me out of there until 330 because she kept talking to her coworker and other clients!!!! I was so furious because my husband sent me out to relax and get my nails done because I has an extremely long week and it only made it worse... I’m sorry but I just can’t go there anymore .. I tried giving them a few chances because the first few times weren’t as bad and they were nice but their work ethic needs improvement!!!

Walked in no appointment, they were pretty busy when I got here but were able to get me in quickly for a pedicure! Dep did my pedicure and he was amazing toes came out great! I am vacation ready now!

What a great place! I had an erroneously scheduled appt and because the day was wrong, exotic nails couldnt take me. I called American Nails and am so glad I did. Unbelievable quality, very very very clean and great customer service. I got a dip and pedicure and the owner (Kim) and Linda stayed an hour late to fit me in. I cannot say more about this place. So great!

We had mani-pedis with gel for $65 each. If you plan to go, plan when you have lots of time. With appointments it took 3 hours (natural nails). We found it to be a bit rough & are left with a few sore spots. *EDIT* I get a gel mani-pedi every summer so Im all set for the season. Less than a week and a half since going and for the first time EVER, my polish just peeled off. Argh! Same OPI polish leads me to assume it was either poor quality base coat, painted & cured on skin and cuticles or poor preparation of my nails.

I have been going here for many months now and I have never had a bad experience! I’m always greeted with a warm smile even when I go in late at night after everyone has had a long day. Kimmy always does my full set dip manicure, always many colors and different options and if you ever want anything extra or have a picture kimmy is your gal!! This time around I got my eyebrows and mustache waxed by Yen and I look fabulous, she does an awesome job, very experienced and doesn’t disappoint. The price is very reasonable and I always leave happy, I will continue to go here as long as I live in Derry!

Love this nail salon! Got my nails done this weekend and they did an excellent job!! The technician I had was so attentive to every details and did my mani/pedi designs I way I wanted it. I felt safe coming here since they took good precautions for COVID and cleaned very thoroughly after every client!
